John this boy seems the real deal. Big DJ was sixteen when playing for the first team and more recently Wayne r for Everton at 16 I watched the spain France game and imho the young 17 year old gabi was man of match.
You have seen the boy a few times now what's your thoughts on him mate re the first team or are we talking the usual 3 or 4 years down the line, once we have coached all the good stuff out of him and he becomes a robot.

Stewarty I have not seen him play. Spoke to a couple who have. They say better than anything in Scotland between age 14 and 20
Note he still can not sign a pro form or play for b team until next July as he has recently turned 15.
The rule is there to protect boys his age.
I’m told he has been told there is a path to first team squad at 16 as long as he keeps doing what he is doing.
He is very tight with Defoe and Davis.

Cheers john I thought the boy was already sixteen. Yeah hopefully he keeps progressing and doesn't fall away like most young boys. I've watch a good few of our u18 game and there is a few that definitely have chance.

Stewart’s heard this morning he is away for visit to Man City for next four days. To train with them, and play bounce game with their under 20s.

Wow ain’t that just great! Probably lose the boy for buttons, it’ll be the death of youth squads in Scotland if these clubs continue to cherry pick the best of them, and you can’t even blame the boys the premier league is made out to be the pinnacle of football.

Highland bear, he was invited last July after scoring 3 against Man City youths
How about rangers cherry picking boys from hearts, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea. Ross county, Blackpool, Northern Ireland It is a two way street.
And who can blame a 15 year old for looking around

Can’t lose an amateur for buttons, he needs to be signed first, unless you actually find a club like city or Chelsea who actually are prepared to do a deal,
Examples being Gilmour or Dire Mebude, Gilmour is headed to being our best deal in ten years, once he gets 10 caps.

What do we get after 10 caps John.

John I did say who could blame them, but let’s not pretend that we took young players away from any of those big clubs if they wanted to keep them boys they could have! But Nathan Patterson aside who else has broken through our youth system in the last 10 years? It’s getting to the stage where you hope these boys are not quite good enough for these clubs just so we have a chance to keep hold of them and that’s quite sad for me.

We play the transfer game as well as anybody. I hope the lad signs but if not let’s wish him all the best. We also have some very exciting youths as well. Weston and Alegria for example. Also, at the moment we don’t have the best track record of the path to first team so how many of these boys will actually make it?

Sweep I believe it’s 10 competitive caps and we get another 500k.

Hearts wanted to keep greig allen
Blackpool wanted to keep Weston
Irish clubs witted to keep players as did Ross county with Graham.
Chelsea offered Nathan Coombes double money to stay.

Dado they need to be good Enough and committed.

Don’t think we can say that re dapo mebude, Dickson, kinnear, Kennedy etc.

We need more with attitude like all present b team, example the boy Weston and mcausland. King are chased away everty day. Always trying to progress and learn.

Dado as a aside I’m told Wilson is desperate to be at rangers as a pro and wants chance of first team involved by 18. A lot off that is down to him and attitude.

He is certainly mixing with right people at club, my worry is agents.

I hope your right John and I hope he signs. My point still stands, we have some very good youth players who I hope make the break through. Fingers crossed Wilson will be part of it if not best of luck to the lad!

I hope he is. As long as he does not head to same team as his brother, where he is attracting big big interest

Our youth is best it has been in last 15 years IMO.

Did he play for Celtic but Jack it in?

17.) 12 Oct 2021
12 Oct 2021 14:45:49
No. But his brother is there and the have tried to get Rory to join him, think Rory has been with us since )9.
By all accounts his brother is outstanding, some say better than Billy Gilmour who went to same school.

Wilson can't be away to Manchester today as he's playing for the under 18s against Motherwell.

Must be after the game then, John. Going by your posts on here and what I've heard, though, if it was up to himself the boy would sign for Rangers. Keep up the good work, mate, it's about two years since I saw a youth or B team game. Not as mobile as I once was, I'm afraid, so keep feeding the info!

Tavs don’t disagree, I’ll always feed in what I know. U know I don’t often pride rubbish. I think the lads first contract will be in Scotland, I doubt he would jump ship to the east.
I’m told his dream is to be in first team by 18.
