I’ve just been told that we have no interested at all in Kevin van Veen. His destination is more than likely Aberdeen if Miovski is sold. Not sure how solid the rumour is but I thought I’d pass it on. I’ll be glad if this ends up true, our sights should be higher although I accept that he’d possibly fill a hole until the summer.

In other news I’ve just bet a friend £50 that dresses will score more league goals that Kyogo. I honestly think Dessers will end up with 20+ and he’s starting to find some form.

1.) 27 Dec 2023 22:46:28
Hi seen ppo mentioning Van Veen, this rumour about a deal being struck was from a fake dutch oranje account on X, most likely a celtic fan, people seem to have not checked to see if it was fake or not and just went with it.

2.) 27 Dec 2023 23:13:41
Kyogo versus Dessers? Really. Sorry but Kyogo is miles better than Dessers. Jeeeso.

3.) 27 Dec 2023 23:37:17
Tbf Dessers has a better goals to games ratio than kyogo in league so far this season.

4.) 28 Dec 2023 06:55:03
I'll say this when we're on the subject of shankland guys. ? He's a better / more natural finisher than kyogo imo, no doubt about that for me ?.

5.) 28 Dec 2023 07:35:46
Sensible priced deal (not including Lowry imo) to buy Shankland AND Van Veen also on 6 month loan would not be bad option for us given current injury record - let's be honest we need cover up front and these 2 goalscorers would help - needs must!

6.) 28 Dec 2023 07:45:52
Read the post again otter, I never once said Dessers was better than Kyogo? What planet are you on?

7.) 28 Dec 2023 08:05:15
I don't see anybody else saying they've put their money where their mouth is Dado.
Good luck with your bet. I think if we sign a striker your money might be at risk as Dessers may not start.
Time will tell.

8.) 28 Dec 2023 08:54:08
Yeah it could be JFM, I’m also accounted for the 2 month injury to Kyogo which usually happens (and the fact that he’s hugely overrated)

9.) 28 Dec 2023 09:02:53
Kyogo hands down better than shankland don’t start aw this some fans do with every player we sign.

10.) 28 Dec 2023 09:25:07
Sorry Dado. Think I might have had one gin too many last night ?.

11.) 28 Dec 2023 10:20:35
No worries Otter, it is the time of year for it! Enjoy.

12.) 28 Dec 2023 15:34:45
Kyogo ain't a better, more natural finisher than shankland storm simple as that for me and for the record we haven't signed shankland ?.

There’s some noise on Twitter that Bazoer will not be joining Marseille, the Marseille does not wait him. I’m not saying it’s true or that he’s coming to Rangers but he would be a great player to have in our team.

Dado_Prso

1.) 11 Jul 2022 22:43:08
I'm not saying he's not a great player but why is none of the sides in the bigger leagues want him?

2.) 11 Jul 2022 23:12:01
I’ve watched Bazoer a few times ironically it’s when we were scooting Doekhi and from what I saw Bazoer was the better more rounded player,

Would be a major steal getting this lad in the door to partner Goldson.

3.) 11 Jul 2022 23:40:49
I think there was some concerns with his attitude earlier in his career? I wouldn’t honestly care if the bigger leagues didn’t take him, I suspect he’d breeze the SPL.

4.) 12 Jul 2022 05:00:34
Bazoer is solid and great passing out from the back would fit gios three at the back perfectly being able to bring ball out and drop back when required.

5.) 12 Jul 2022 09:21:13
Yeah has been his attitude - we went to Germany for £12m earlier in his career.
If he has his head screwed on now would be a great signing however.

6.) 12 Jul 2022 12:31:15
We also could have the upper hand in negotiations as he came through the Ajax system when Davie Vos was there. For me he would instantly be the best CB in the country and would be on par with us landing Boumsong years ago. Very highly regarded by the scouts I know.

11 Jul 2022 17:20:50
Rumours of Twitter that were about to sign Connor Young from Hibs. No doubt for the under 18’s / b-team. He scored 25 goals for Hibs under 18’s last season.

Dado_Prso

1.) 11 Jul 2022 17:55:22
That’s who was photographed at Ibrox at the weekend. Hibs U18s are probably the top U18 side in the country.

2.) 11 Jul 2022 17:55:55
Dado seen this boy play. He’s ok player.

3.) 11 Jul 2022 18:05:28
I guess he’s worth a look John for a few seasons, 25 goals is pretty good. Yeah Copland I heard they won the under 18’s.

Anybody heard about the boy Rice? Are we going to bid more for him or is he away to Celtic?

4.) 11 Jul 2022 18:07:13
It just goes to show the development as they weren't that good coming through until u16's.

5.) 11 Jul 2022 18:27:28
Dado, yep, best player at hibs is Gary O’Connor boy

I assume u r mixing up Bailey rice with Dylan Reid

We have signed rice, I hope we get Reid

Rice scored for academy on his debut as did three other debutants.

6.) 11 Jul 2022 18:43:22
Hibs have always had good youth setup to be fair.

7.) 11 Jul 2022 18:51:54
Dado we signed rice from
Motherwell it’s Dylan Reid from
St mirren.

8.) 11 Jul 2022 18:58:58
Yeah sorry guys, we’re signing that many kids that I got mixed up.

Do you think we’ve still got a chance of getting him?

9.) 11 Jul 2022 19:27:55
If we match Celtics bid we’ll get him. Family full of rangers fans.

10.) 11 Jul 2022 19:45:17
John have you seen much of the boy Laidlaw much in the same squad as O’Connor and Young? Couple of Hibs fans I know see him as being the next Steven Fletcher.

11.) 11 Jul 2022 20:09:38
Copland Ethan laidlaw top player.

12.) 11 Jul 2022 20:33:44
Looks like this is the lad that was pictured in the directors box at Ibrox a few days ago.
Some were saying it was James McAtee.

13.) 11 Jul 2022 21:27:42
Yeah John seen him a few times for the Scotland u17s, just wondered your thoughts on him as the Hibs fans I know see O’Connor the worst out of they 3 youngsters.

14.) 11 Jul 2022 21:44:41
Definitely boy pictured the other night at ibrox. Also now confirmed.

15.) 12 Jul 2022 11:46:17
Copland he is good player, May be playing off fathers reputation.

07 Jan 2022 07:05:17
Some reports (not sure how true these are) suggesting that bologna are waiting up to £8m for Olsen with no loan to buy option. If that’s the case then it’s tough to see us spending that just now. I hope these reports are wide of the mark but who knows during the January window.

Dado_Prso

1.) 07 Jan 2022 07:39:25
If that's the case Dado, we can't in my opinion compete with that.
Move on find another young player in the 5 mill range, seems be our limit.

2.) 07 Jan 2022 08:54:35
I agree BAR72, as much as i want skov olsen at rangers £8million at this stage is way too much for us imo🤔Ah well, we'll just have to move on😞.

3.) 07 Jan 2022 09:29:02
If true 8m out of our price range, sure I read couple weeks ago the young boy from anderlecht we were looking had around 3.6m buyout clause more our price range if Olsen doesn't happen for us.

4.) 07 Jan 2022 09:36:24
It may well be but more often than not these are made in instalments, similar to Kent. So I wouldn’t rule anything out, although it certainly suggests it’s more unlikely, from what I understand Bologna need the money, so who knows.

5.) 07 Jan 2022 09:53:05
£8m too much regardless of payment profile for me. we need players we can sell at a profit and £8m means we would need a huge fee to make anything. I think would be a great signing at the right price however.

6.) 07 Jan 2022 10:12:44
They can ask what they want it is if anyone will pay that. That fee is too much for a player that has not had a great season and wants to leave.

7.) 07 Jan 2022 10:16:18
How is it hendo.
6 goals in his five World Cup qualifying plus 4 assists.

8.) 07 Jan 2022 10:41:06
We ain't selling Patterson and punting most of the money back on a right winger. Makes absolutely no business sense whatsoever.

9.) 07 Jan 2022 10:46:40
I’ll make a bold claim they ain’t getting 8 million for Olsen 😂😂.

10.) 07 Jan 2022 10:54:33
What's your take on it John25,do you think we'll still sign skov olsen mate🤔.

11.) 07 Jan 2022 11:35:38
I doubt very much we will spend 8m on a player? Also, the 8m might be with add ons etc, which we might agree to. For example, winning league this season and reaching CL proper. That would guarantee the sort of money that we could spend 8m on a single player. At this moment, we have no idea how much they want for the player, how much we can afford, or, in fact, If we are actually in for him?!

12.) 07 Jan 2022 11:50:22
I would be suprised if they were looking for 8m for him. He’s not been playing regularly for them and he has admitted he is struggling there. I would think they would be prepared to accept around 5m. Or as close to what they paid for him!

13.) 07 Jan 2022 12:21:00
A bid of €8M makes more sense from the figures that have been circulated. Out of all the players that we have been linked with he excites me the most and we have been crying out for a natural RS Fwd for a while.

14.) 07 Jan 2022 13:06:28
That’s about 6.6 million in English pounds.

15.) 07 Jan 2022 13:10:26
S cov Olsen being used as wing back in Italy hence his stats this season. Look at his stats for Denmark! The boys a player no doubt about that!

16.) 07 Jan 2022 13:37:55
The reports suggested £8m not euros. I don’t think (or Suggesting) we’ll pay that sort of money. I think this will just be part of the game we’ll need to play if we are in for him - I’m not even sure we are. I remember when clubs were looking at Hickey bids were being reported around £4 then they wanted £12m…. let’s just see what happens.

17.) 07 Jan 2022 13:52:21
8s not to much, we paid 7 for Kent who couldn’t get a game for Bristol city, Olsen was in the semi final of the euros 😂.

18.) 07 Jan 2022 13:55:29
Walter time will tell.

19.) 07 Jan 2022 14:35:51
Guys, I posted something similar yesterday that came from folks I know in Copenhagen. The comments came from folks that used to work for me in the Financial Services Sector, (not Football Sector) . They reckoned that FC Copenhagen were also interested in Olsen and that he would not be allowed to leave Bologna on loan this month. If he is to leave then it would be a permanent transfer and the price would need to be more than €7m. This is Business guys commenting, not football guys!

20.) 07 Jan 2022 15:04:23
I think spending €8 million on a starter for his country heding to the world Cup is worth the gamble.
If he nd Denmark have a good WC in December then his stock will quadruple. Also would be playing CL should we win league. Its worth the gamble imo.

21.) 07 Jan 2022 16:09:28
You can't expect clubs to take Bologna serious the buy the guy for 5.5 million euro roughly andd after 2 years have pretty much set his club career back to zero as well as risk his national standing. They can't then expect to get 8 million pounds Italian teams always so this the big front offer them 3 million up front and 2 in instalments take it or leave it . Copenhagen not going to pay anywhere near that and he don't think they would accept Turkish bod as they never pay on time or sometimes even pay at all.

22.) 07 Jan 2022 16:10:38
NRD if that GAMBLE you want to take then offer could be insentive or sell on based.

23.) 07 Jan 2022 16:52:38
Only reports I have seen said between 7-8 million euros.

24.) 07 Jan 2022 17:50:18
That's apparently what the selling club are looking for, we start with a lower bid, test the water, and if Bologna need the money and there isn't much of a bidding war they'll either accept a bid slightly less than their asking price or have an unhappy player on their hands until summer at least. A clubs asking price and the actual price of a transfer are more often than not two different numbers.

25.) 07 Jan 2022 18:07:24
They seem to be in for Ramsey of Aberdeen so can’t need the money that much.

26.) 07 Jan 2022 18:52:19
How many times have we been told we don’t need to sell, so by same account we could spend on one player. I’m not saying we will.

Skov is a cracking player and if both Laudrups back that up then 8m euros wouldn’t be ridiculous.

I don’t think 8m will be the figure particularly if it’s us Copenhagen and Hoffenhiem looking. Although the Germans may very well have that kind of money.

One of my main frustrations last night was PC’s interview, complete politicians answer with absolute delusions that everything is fine and we were unlucky.

Fast forward less than 1 day and Sterling‘a answer to the same question is outstanding.

‘We've been s*** the past few games".

"We're fighting for a title but the way we're playing. it's like the season's dead".

"I don't know if the belief is there’

That is the absolute truth there and PC should have said the same.

Good on Sterling, must better answer than Tavs ‘we’ll learn and improve’ crap that he spouts every few month.

Dado_Prso

1.) 18 Apr 2024 20:08:30
Agree with Sterling on what he says and not on what PC says. I am sure Dujon can handle himself in the dressing room if any of the so called leadership team disagrees with him.

2.) 18 Apr 2024 20:19:00
Possible captain in the making for me, IF we can hold on to him.

3.) 18 Apr 2024 22:12:53
Totally agree dado, if we had got right in about them from first whistle and didn't let up but just couldn't get a goal, I would agree with pc, but it was total opposite mate, if he honestly believed that he got a reaction from them last night, it's hugely worrying. He doesn't need to slaughter the players, just say it wasn't good enough, he knows it, players know it, does he honestly think we as fans saw a reaction? Who is he trying to kid here, baffled by that statement tbh.

4.) 18 Apr 2024 22:14:55
Macdoj, you would need some nerve to disagree with the boy, after last few performances.

14 Apr 2024 18:18:10
I think this was predicted on the live chat today.

Tav’s post match interview:

Poor performance and we didn’t turn up today

The manner we conceded those goals and need to learn from this quickly

What I would say is I hope PC learns quickly and drops the flops who have continuously let us down.

Dado_Prso

1.) 14 Apr 2024 19:31:54
How many times has said that in interviews we need to learn from it? Embarrassing.

2.) 14 Apr 2024 19:55:53
Although i'm not one bit condoning our performance by our whole team today, if dessers takes his two gilt edged chances, we're going in 3-0 up at half time and the points would have been in the bag ?We have a striker who just misses way too many sitters and terrible on one on one chances ?No getting away from our hiding from, missing chances like he does, will cost us the league title and that is fact ?.

3.) 14 Apr 2024 19:55:55
As mentioned on another forum, this will be engraved into his head stone.

We’ve had enough now.

4.) 14 Apr 2024 20:47:29
Yeah dado that was me just heard the same bs before.

5.) 14 Apr 2024 21:21:05
Absolute nonsense Sir Walter, perhaps your opinion, but certainly not a fact.

6.) 14 Apr 2024 21:26:11
Oh and our defence has no responsibility whatsoever.

14 Apr 2024 16:44:22
I’m watching the woman’s game today, playing some great football and have just scored from a corner (it is possible, who knew) . Perhaps Pc could get the men’s team looking at the woman’s team for some tips?

Dado_Prso

1.) 14 Apr 2024 17:00:55
Aye dado - an inswinger!
Get the set piece coach promoted to men's team ASAP.

2.) 14 Apr 2024 17:03:25
Mr too Dado, the goal from Kirsty Howatt was a cracker, what it showed me was, this was a crucial game for us going for the SPFL League and they showed an intent to win, no holds barred, take noe Tav and Co.

3.) 14 Apr 2024 17:06:19
Thought young Mia's was a belter too.

4.) 14 Apr 2024 17:31:58
Our mens team is a shower of cowards. If you want to be champions then it is win at all costs. Too many serial losers in the mens team.

07 Apr 2024 18:36:49
Really angry at the first half performance, got to be one of the worst I’ve ever seen. Great to see the great come back but we should never have been in that position in the first place. I do think there’s a few who’s times up if I’m honest, too many players continue to let themselves (and us) down big game after big game. Can’t see that back 4 being here next season, we need better if we’re to progress.

I’ve no idea how Jonston or Maeda stayed on the park, I guess weeks of pressure being put on officials has worked for Celtic.

Sima played well and Matondo done okay, Butland was a good as ever but it’s really tough to see any other player getting pass marks, Sterling was too bad.

These guys now need a result at park head and PC himself would benefit from a win himself.

Dado_Prso

1.) 07 Apr 2024 19:22:34
The performance and result was bad enough, Dado, but do you know what angered me more mate, was that vomit inducing lap of honour at the end.
I sat there watching players like Tav, Goldson, and others, laugh there way around the stadium after they had made a complete arse of it, and my ire was boiling. How in God's name is that the sign of champions?

2.) 07 Apr 2024 20:38:06
We were awful but as much as we turned it around i believe that the wind played a massive part. Once celtic were running into the wind they were experiencing exactly the same problems we had in the first half. We you are turning into the wind to give chase against someone with the wind into his back you are at a disadvantage. Watching from outside of the pitch it seems like the players are standing watching before giving chase. i'm sure there are plenty of experts on here who will disagree with what i'm saying but it certainly explains why the differences in the halves. First half we are playing short from the back putting ourselves under pressure. Second half celtic are doing that, 100% down to the wind. In the second half there were some ballons that went onto the pitch. They went so far out slowly and then took off. That let you see how fast it was. Hopefully the weather will be better when we beat them at the piggery.

3.) 07 Apr 2024 20:57:20
Think PC knows now just the size of job he has. How he's managed to get us in this position shows what a great job he's doing. If we can give him the players he wants we could be some watch next season. Just hope he can drag us over the line.

4.) 07 Apr 2024 21:45:54
Dado, if we win on Wednesday against Dundee we will be top by 2 points, as I see it, if that happens the pressure goes back on Celtic, as a draw and 4 wins after the split would see us win the league, we will have more players fitter for those games, and should go into them with confidence.

5.) 07 Apr 2024 22:48:24
That first goal was schoolboy stuff, complete panic when he saw Maeda catching up with him, poor poor decision and how often when you do that would it result in a goal.
They take one or two touches when moving it around and we were the opposite.
Second goal a penalty nowadays and the third again was poor, not tight enough and it went thru Butland.
Teams like Hearts have had joy against them when they pack the midfield and don’t get get caught too high up the pitch,
We were so open and defence exposed so how do we change that as each time we play them it’s a similar story. We need new blood certainly in defence, but short term
we need to be more disciplined and maybe hit them with quick turnovers and perhaps sit in a bit more.
Think everyone is more than relieved with a point after the first half but equally frustrated about lessons not learned.
Think Kris Boyd suggested playing Sterling at right back at theirs cause Tav can’t cope with him.
Would say he’s right.

16 Mar 2024 20:50:10
Have I missed something about of finances? So many people saying PC will have no money to spend and we’ll need to sell?

When was this announced?

Dado_Prso

1.) 16 Mar 2024 21:25:23
So many people know the ins and out of our club. Wait and see what the summer brings. If we can win the league, I'm sure he'll get a few quid to spend.

2.) 16 Mar 2024 22:15:27
No can't say I've seen that, just that we had limited budget in winter and we had to use some of summers.

3.) 16 Mar 2024 22:15:59
Not that I’ve seen but assuming it relates to us effectively using next years budget in Jan.

4.) 16 Mar 2024 22:38:47
Dado we gambled on a few get rid of a few we can gamble again its simple.

5.) 16 Mar 2024 23:28:41
Think we are already spending ahead of ourselves, because of FFP rules, IF we sign Cortes, Sima, Diamonde, that will be 10-15 mill straight away. where is the money coming from for 1 a proper striker, 2 a decent centre half, (Goldson done) 3 a goalkeeper (if JB goes) 4 Tav replacement 4 centre mid (Lundstrom not signed yet)
Etc etc etc.

6.) 16 Mar 2024 23:53:47
Im sure the board will have made this clear when interviewing phillipe with regards to what can be spent, and its probably safe to say they will trust him enough to back him given how he has performed so far.

7.) 17 Mar 2024 00:46:33
It was a quiet window across Europe in January, many teams used the same format as Rangers and we brought in more than most, the summer is a different window altogether which will see plenty leave and arrive especially if we win the league.

8.) 17 Mar 2024 08:23:59
Very little money to spend - Butland most valuable asset and various press reports that he might be away soon- is this management soft soaping fans in advance, as they'll have to sell him.

9.) 17 Mar 2024 08:56:45
If Goldson is done how we top a the league? Best defence in Scotland? We’ve just made money from our European run folk need to clam down. Win this league we will be rolling in it.

10.) 17 Mar 2024 09:12:10
We will have to replace

Sima
Silva
Barisic
Davies
Roofe

Possibly

Lundstrum
Jack

So if there are no funds we are screwed and sales of butland and other would be a must.

I feel that this could be skeptic fans trying to cause unrest

As if we didn’t have money why would John report we had a bid knocked back for denkey.

11.) 18 Mar 2024 14:25:19
Exactly Raskin, too many on here no club financial knowledge just raising fears based on four seasons ago. We have just raised 12m EUFA funds, if PC on ball we have 20m unwanted players plus if win league Champions League unlimited No worries.

Yeah perhaps blue - Floyd, let’s see what the summer brings.

I’m not adverse to flipping players, it’s a good model and we’ve had some success doing so.

Yeah I can see that blue-Floyd but the tournament is this year, if the tournament was next year then I’d be sure he’s away.

Southgate was watching him at the old firm as well.

What a cracking way to articulate you point MPH, when you put numbers like that in front of us and you call out the additional two players we need to keep him in the team you are creating a fact that we’re better without Tav. This was my opinion but your numbers are very hard to argue against this becoming a fact.

Correction in my opinion ‘Sterling for the record is better in midfield my friend ?’

In other peoples opinion Sterling would help our defence as he was a right back to trade.

I actually wonder if the dressing room is split? The old guard failures and the new younger players with the drive for success?

Yeah bang on big dado, some great points.

Juventus used to have a motto that if we can’t win the league with our super stars then we’re no worse off by selling them.

Tav’s been great but we can be a better team collectively by having a more balanced back 4.

We also need a captain who is fearless in my opinion. Tav is petrified to play Celtic.

I’d say Goldson needs to go too, we need somebody who has pace in the middle. Goldson and Soutter can only play looking forward and are completely lost when the ball is played in behind.

We also need a lot more energy in midfield, teams are happy to run at us knowing our midfield are lazy and won’t track back.
