Heard we had a representative at Bristol v Blackburn today?

tavsonloyal

1.) 21 Jan 2023 22:39:27
If it's Hedges they were looking at I'll be devastated.

2.) 21 Jan 2023 23:20:43
Good Bristol City keeper Max O'leary mid 20's out of contact seen him a few times always played well could be him.

3.) 22 Jan 2023 00:56:13
Maybe Ben brererton haha, wishful thinking!

4.) 22 Jan 2023 10:03:30
I have heard that the player being scouted is Bristol city striker Antoine Semenyo. Who looks amazing and also scored infront of the scouts.

5.) 22 Jan 2023 10:25:26
Semenyo’s contract is up in the summer so fits the model, he’s decent although stats aren’t fantastic but as we know they aren’t everything.

6.) 22 Jan 2023 11:33:24
It's definitely not Semenyo Bournemouth have just bid £10million which was turned down, and he now isn't out of contract till 2024 they activated a one year extension.

7.) 22 Jan 2023 11:34:33
His club have activated the one year extension clause so he is not available on a free for this summer.

8.) 22 Jan 2023 11:43:35
Semenyo, worth around 15 million, not coming to rangers.

9.) 23 Jan 2023 13:08:46
Agree John this boy has Brentford or lower prem team written all over it.

18 Jan 2023 19:47:44
Spoke to a former senior club official today. Douglas Park is killing our club.

tavsonloyal

1.) 18 Jan 2023 20:34:07
From what I have heard he is dictatorial, extremely risk adverse and he has absolutely no charisma!

2.) 18 Jan 2023 20:52:56
Aww well that's twice club 1872 have tried to get rid but most fans are blind were now behind celtic again wake up he knew **** all and spends **** all.

3.) 18 Jan 2023 20:54:57
We are the only club that's not signed anyone were a joke they want fans to get kits season tickets but not spend absolute joke.

4.) 18 Jan 2023 20:57:53
I've said as much on here regarding douglas park and that son of his ?I thank him for what he's previously done for our club but he's not in my eyes the guy to take us forward and is holding us back ? It's his way or the highway and needs rectified imo ?.

5.) 18 Jan 2023 21:05:54
Tavs in what way is park killing our club I agree he's rubbish but int what a former official thinks.

6.) 18 Jan 2023 21:13:52
You only have to listen to AGMs and watch Club socials for that Berkshire. He is an abomination. *queue john defending him because he gave us money years ago*.

7.) 18 Jan 2023 21:47:16
The Park family will be gone before the new season commences 100%.

8.) 18 Jan 2023 21:54:29
Gregory I'd give absolutely anything for you to be right. Could do a lot worse than going and getting alan burrows and leanne dempster on the board.

9.) 18 Jan 2023 21:55:39
I’ve been saying Park out for months. Explained that i have direct knowledge of his behaviour. I stand firm. Douglas needs to go and his cretin son should be nowhere near our club.

10.) 18 Jan 2023 22:01:02
Gregory u t probably correct.
Ashley will return. Buying shares from regular fans.

11.) 18 Jan 2023 22:01:50
Guys buy him out. Club definitely going right direction with Ashley as the new chairman.

12.) 18 Jan 2023 22:10:56
Hard to argue with any of you guys above regarding douglas park and his son ?Tjrfc, i 100% agree with regarding leeann dempster mate, she's a very clever woman and is superb at her job ? been saying this for years and would have her replace stewart robertson in a heartbeat ?.

13.) 18 Jan 2023 22:11:10
Typical car salesman. money hungry w*nk! Guys an embarrassment… shown at last agm! Him and his son are creatures!

14.) 18 Jan 2023 22:15:27
You've been saying that for the best part of 7 months john, whilst totally ignoring the fact he is doing what he can to get Coventry.

15.) 18 Jan 2023 22:17:03
Sarcasm I hope John? In no way will Ashley be near out club again.

16.) 18 Jan 2023 22:29:44
John, I respect you on here but I don’t agree with your views on park one bit. Also what makes you think Mike Ashley would be our chairman if park was to go?

17.) 18 Jan 2023 22:41:28
Banxger, he is working very hard at getting back in, king, bennet wolthardt park working very hard to keep him out

Tjrfc… si I’m a lier as is king.

18.) 18 Jan 2023 22:45:31
Monty, please explain my views on park, a man I have no time for
I was very firmly in king and three bears camp, group when we took club back,

He will be chairman as he will own circa 75% off club if board capitulate

Tjrfc r u saying Ashley can't own one club whist a family member owns another, news to me.

{Ed001's Note - he is not getting Coventry, it has already been bought by someone else, so it is not relevant.}

19.) 18 Jan 2023 22:48:09
See all u guys who moan about park how come 75% off shareholders voted him to stay on aboard and as chairman

King and 1872 said no circa 19% votes so only 6% others voted against park, I did, how many off u voted against him and his son, be honest.

20.) 18 Jan 2023 23:00:35
I voted against him and his son John27!

21.) 18 Jan 2023 23:04:54
You voted against him yet fear Mike Ashley will be back if he goes. does that not contradict what your saying? No wonder 75% voted him to stay on the board if that’s the thoughts! Looking after shares instead of the club. Don’t believe for one minute you voted against him. John let’s be honest how many on here have shares lol I’m sure if every rangers fan could vote he would be gone! Silly to think the average season ticket holder has shares in the club. We can moan on here but there’s he haw the majority of us can do about it. You say you were in the king camp but I’ve seen you run him down as well….

22.) 18 Jan 2023 23:14:53
Walter I know u did, u stated that was your intention before agm

Monty u have just proved u don’t have a clue how the resolutions work.

Yes king turned, done a fantastic job getting people out our club, but unfortunately is only there to stir it now

Your telling me am a lier then Monty, good riddance to u.

23.) 18 Jan 2023 23:42:29
Your contradicting yourself as you do often that’s why I said I don't believe you, claiming you voted against him yet you fear Ashley will be chairman if he goes so if that’s the case why would you vote against him? Your asking why don’t we buy the club and how many of us voted against him. you just sound so far up your own backside at times it’s unreal. You voted against him but we aren’t aloud to moan about him… you clearly think your above most of us because you have some shares. Good riddance to me? I’m no going anywhere.

24.) 19 Jan 2023 01:50:53
I hate this thing our fans keep saying park n co gave us money. they GAVE us feck all the got shares for that money and those shares have went up in value when will people realise these are business men sure they might be rangers supporters but they are not doing what they are doing for nothing ask yourself how much have they made when they sell Thier shares and how much of a wage do they take out of the club for a job that is not much of a job ?.

25.) 19 Jan 2023 01:59:46
John27 when it comes right down to it how many leagues has park won when in charge Everyone knows it was king who helped Gerrard win title with good backing. And king was more up front about what he wanted from us park has put his own businesses ahead of rangers relationships within the league he basically killed any sort of goodwill we build since return with the cinch stuff we.

26.) 19 Jan 2023 05:14:17
Monty2488,it was myself who stated i voted against both douglas park and his son ?.

27.) 19 Jan 2023 06:47:24
Who is calling for Ashley to get his grubby hands back on us some people just have no memories.

28.) 19 Jan 2023 06:49:01
Tjrfc - get Burrows in? Absolutely 1000% not. That would be one of the most ridiculous things ever. And we’ve experienced plenty as a fan base. I’ll put that one down to drink or someone taking your phone when you weren’t looking.

Get the Parks out though, I’m behind that.

29.) 19 Jan 2023 07:48:07
Correct GFB. The absolute nonsense he drags the club through is a PR disaster. Hiring a well known bigot as media and pr manager. The park buses and cinch nonsense. All an absolute farce. The 150 celebrations were pitiful as well, it was down to the ultras to do anything for it. But who made sure he was there, front and centre to raise the 55 flag? Park and his 10 chins.

30.) 19 Jan 2023 15:34:50
Walter so did John above your comment. Doesn’t matter anyway I’m not on here to argue with folk. Apologies John just read that msg back, one too many shandy’s last night. As I said previously I respect you on here.

06 Nov 2022 18:18:18
Probably not doing my credibility any good, but this evening I've had texts and emails from ex-players and prominent fans, and two names suggested to me as a possible new manager were Paolo Vanoli and Rafa Benitez. Make of that what you will, but if Gio is binned then I've no doubt there will be dozens of guesses like this. By the way, nobody suggested Dyche or McInnes or McCann or Thomson!

tavsonloyal

1.) 06 Nov 2022 18:29:02
Wouldn't be excited by either of those names. then again, I was excited by the appointment of Gio, so maybe that's a good thing.

2.) 06 Nov 2022 18:31:44
Benitez would want a lot of funds I’m assume we can’t afford

and he would want a sum of money for his services that I don’t think we would pay either?

3.) 06 Nov 2022 18:31:45
Tav, I have bet first name.

4.) 06 Nov 2022 18:52:36
@John27, is that you saying you’ve got money on Vanoli if I’m reading your last post correctly?

5.) 06 Nov 2022 18:54:33
Rafa would be amazing but would need money to spend.

6.) 06 Nov 2022 18:58:10
What price did you get vanoli at John27 ?.

7.) 06 Nov 2022 19:04:26
John I'm unsure if a Russian cup is enough but he has been around the Italian national team and asst at Chelsea buy not for me. I'd rather we go for some1 like knutson or Dyche.

8.) 06 Nov 2022 19:24:19
Bassey1 benitez would absolutely not be a good appointment, a charlatan who throws everyone under the bus but himself. Terrible football to boot. Same with dyche regarding football. Vanoli is extremely well regarded as a coach but unsure about as a manager.

9.) 06 nov 2022 19:47:29
think rafa would be a eye watering prospect

also, there have been times in the past that rangers have had to act after a desperately poor times, when the board, have pulled a out a masterstroke . like le guen . or advocaat, rafa i believe is a very wealthy man who might just be tempted by such an instituition as rangers, he could even be excited by the challenge, he will know exactly how big rangers are, having managed another giant british club, he will know of the potential joy of resurrecting such an institution

this is obviously just my take, and hopes obviously, but this board are heroes and they might just go a step further to restore our place at the top . imo.

10.) 06 Nov 2022 19:48:16
Av heard paulo di canio.

11.) 06 Nov 2022 19:55:38
Yes aribo I have, along with two others, small bet, big odds, I’d be sick if it happened I’d ignored it,100/ 1 Walter outsider my 3. £10

One Walter I think his cv is reasonable, also worked at inter Milan, Walter I don’t think we want dyche, baggage if he came to us

Bassey I’d cut your hand off for Rafa.

12.) 06 Nov 2022 20:16:27
Why do people want rafa? He is historically a terrible manager since leaving Liverpool. Newcastle is a non entity because people say "oh but it was Mike ashley". He relegated a Premier league squad and came back up with them and came what 15th? Steve Bruce was better for them. He killed Everton as well. And well known attitude problems. Would be a diabolical appointment. Once again, a rangers da appointment.

13.) 06 Nov 2022 20:17:13
One name that hasn't been mentioned that usually turns up is Rino Gatusso. I know from Family friends that his wife would like to return to Scotland but he is contracted to Valencia until 2024 so there would be a compensation issue there.
One other name mentioned as possible contenders from Italy, (by a close family friend in Tuscany), is Roberto De Zerbi, previously at Shakhtar Donetsk.

14.) 06 Nov 2022 20:31:00
Is zerbi not the knew Brighton manager.

15.) 06 Nov 2022 20:38:20
De zerbi is Brighton manager and rino has done nothing great as a manager.

16.) 06 Nov 2022 20:44:22
John what site you using for the next rangers manager bet? Can’t see any of the main ones offering it.

17.) 06 Nov 2022 21:00:26
He's manager of Brighton for last month.

18.) 06 Nov 2022 21:00:36
Berkshire you don't keep up with current affairs do you? De Zerbi is at Brighton.

19.) 06 Nov 2022 21:09:11
De Zerbi is three weeks into the Brighton job Berkshire mate.

20.) 06 Nov 2022 21:37:32
Thanks John, missed that. It was a few days ago that I spoke with the guy. He is a big Fiorentina Fan and knows Italian Football. He is also close Friends with Gatusso's inlaws. One Walter, what had Souness, Gerrard or even Walter done as a manager before they came to Rangers. Rino certainly wouldn't stand for the lack of fight and poor attitude of a lot of our players.

21.) 06 Nov 2022 23:04:31
TJRFC, I don't always keep up to date about Football South of the Border, but perhaps I should have known about the Brighton Job since a lot of the Charities I support are in East Sussex. Only really talked about the Italian guys when I was speaking to a close friend that has a home in Italy Anas well as Glasgow and is a close friend of Rina Gatusso's inlaws.

Conversations on Rangers tend to be when I am in the City and some of my connections there that know my football allegiance share what they know or have heard about the Club and some of those associated with us. Other than my affliction of being a Rangers Fan and some of my eldest sons friends that are ex players I don't get overly involved in Football these days!

22.) 06 Nov 2022 23:34:18
A few days ago? De zerbi went to Brighton a few weeks ago.

23.) 06 nov 2022 22:04:12
john i was called a bigot, simply for saying dyche might not find us his cup of tea, i'm still trying to take that in.

24.) 06 Nov 2022 22:04:25
That's good then because Rangers don't have a manager's position, they have a head coach and a Director of Football.

25.) 07 Nov 2022 14:39:28
John has vanoli not just signed for a seria b club ?.

26.) 07 Nov 2022 18:02:08
Tom, you are not a bigot for posting that.

16 Oct 2022 21:00:31
Heard at Fir Park today that two more directors are considering their positions. Alastair Johnston's name was mentioned as being one. Make of it what you will, but it's beginning to smell like a boardroom split.

tavsonloyal

1.) 16 Oct 2022 22:24:16
AJ is only a non-exec these days so that wouldn't have the impact the club needs or desires sadly.

2.) 16 oct 2022 23:52:45
ive heard something similat tav, i like alistair johnston as a person, and a rangers man, summat is in the air.

3.) 17 Oct 2022 09:54:02
I also heard that rumour, seems there are rumblings going on within the board. Rumour of a takeover still on back burner. However no matter what is going on we should still be giving the team our support.

4.) 17 Oct 2022 10:12:02
Is that really the chat on 'the terraces'?

5.) 17 Oct 2022 10:53:07
Well Bouncy, it’s maybe better than talking about our players on the pitch!

6.) 17 Oct 2022 12:57:38
Dothebouncy I wasn't on the terraces.

23 Jul 2022 20:19:47
At Ibrox today there was solid chat that the board, through Wilson, have indicated to the manager that at least five players need to be removed from the wage bill as squad size was part of the budget deal to bring in a host of new players. Names were speculation, but the obvious favourites were there, Simpson, Helander, Katic, Middleton, Sakala, McCrorie, Roofe etc.
That could be about right, I guess, as our fully fit squad could number quite a bit over 30.

tavsonloyal

1.) 23 Jul 2022 21:02:43
It's getting teams to take these players off our hands that's going be the test. Helander and Roofe are surplus requirements but who will buy them due to injury worries? Simpson and Middleton couldn't be given away in a lucky bag and Katic wasn't even wanted in his own country after his loan deal.

2.) 23 Jul 2022 21:11:03
Katic wasn't wanted in his own country because we wanted 2 to 3 million for him sweep have faith in the board they will get the dead wood out I would keep sakala he's rough round the edges good player but worth keeping.

3.) 23 Jul 2022 21:16:46
If we want to move some players loans would be the best way forward to do this
If that is our transfer business finished regarding incoming still feel we are very light up top and need at least one more striker in the door even with morelos and roofe still to come back.

4.) 23 Jul 2022 21:25:45
I'd keep sakala also. Very rough but will still contribute at least 10 goals over the season.

5.) 23 Jul 2022 22:06:33
I think it's pretty certain Katic, Simpson, Middleton will be gone don't really bring anything to the squad.

6.) 23 Jul 2022 22:08:39
tavsonloyal, you had me till you mentioned a fully fit squad.
We must have the biggest treatment room in football!

7.) 23 Jul 2022 22:28:25
Simpson
Katic
Kelly
Middleton

2 of Kamara, Roofe or Sakala later in the window

Hopefully providing a space/ budget to get in another striker, and still think we have a marque signing up our sleeve

Cannot believe we are getting in Yilmaz in for £11k per week

Great business.

8.) 23 Jul 2022 22:35:02
If they needed to removed they wouldn't have signed all those players.

9.) 23 Jul 2022 22:49:20
HWG55 sakala ain’t going anywhere.

10.) 23 Jul 2022 23:36:32
You all have short memories katic was playing well before the fall out with goldson. Even today it was apparent how bad a defender goldson is. Our problem last year was defense not attack. And same again goldson rubbish in the air. People seem to forget Katic was on verge of the Croatian national team before fall out Stephen RFC clubs in Croatia have even less cash than spl and you think they can splash 3 million ? man.

11.) 24 Jul 2022 00:02:59
Kamara has been amazing all pre season be a huge loss.

12.) 24 Jul 2022 00:26:35
I want us to keep Kamara, he's too good and only getting better.

13.) 24 Jul 2022 00:43:15
First time poster here, helander and sakala are not surplus to requirements in my eyes - helander is an excellent defender and sakala goals to minutes ratio is fine with me considering last season was his first. We have brought in some quality signings which i would say have left us stronger than last season, especially with yilmaz to come in to give us two expetional left backs. Roofe is another good player but if he is sold i think we could make another signing to replace. I think gio has an idea of what he wants and i think the board will give him what he wants. watp.

14.) 24 Jul 2022 01:52:18
Very clear Wright and Matondo are ahead of Sakala in getting game time after seeing the line ups and subs today

Goldson, Souttar, Davies, Sands, Helander, King are all ahead of Katic and Simpson in getting game time

Having too many players around the team not getting a game sometimes creates a poisonous atmosphere as they just get the s**ts

It’s time to get a bunch of this squad moved on and out the door.

15.) 24 Jul 2022 01:55:10
Great to see Kamara being played as a one of the holding CMs today, but we are better when Jack is in there in my opinion

Clear that both Lawrence and Tillman will be preferred over Kamara in that AM role

He has been awesome for us, but I feel his ceiling sell on value is now as I don’t feel he will play as often as he has this season as he played last season.

16.) 24 Jul 2022 04:52:23
I know Gio has said our business is almost done, however I think if we can get Into the CL group stages, a lot of the above mentioned players will be off loaded on the cheap and atleast 1 other player signed given the financial boost (hopefully a striker) . This is pure gut with no claims of inside knowledge etc.

17.) 24 Jul 2022 08:34:36
Gofor you seem to forget how bad katic
Is with his ball at his feet he is not good enough
To take us forward and never will be unfortunately all you remember him doing is scoring against Celtic.

18.) 24 Jul 2022 08:36:21
Common mate, katic nowhere near the level of connor goldson! For the record i thought goldson played well against the class opposition of spurs yesterday ? Also remember there's a new partnership in it's infancy between goldson and souttar getting formed and also will be with ben davies when he comes into the fold ?These things take time and patience so give them a chance and get behind the guys!

19.) 24 Jul 2022 08:41:15
Sakala worth keeping?
The only quality he has is an unbelievable ability to over run with the ball.
Absolute garbage.

20.) 24 Jul 2022 09:15:10
Don't mince your words Craigmp ?.

21.) 24 Jul 2022 09:15:19
I was talking to Ross Wilson's brother in law yesterday and he says that he is still looking at players and is back in Scotland next week. Wilson stays in Huddersfield but travels all over looking at players and is in Scotland next week. I have no doubt he'll want players out the door but the guy is pretty active in recruitment right now.

22.) 24 Jul 2022 09:38:15
Katic wasn’t playing good and there was no fall out with goldson haha goldson is night and day better than Katic at every aspect of defending.

23.) 24 Jul 2022 09:38:49
Problem is who'd take on there wage. I'd keep roofe as iv said he'll net 10/ 15 goals and we need to make sure we have cover up front.

24.) 24 Jul 2022 10:24:12
Livibear ross wilson actually walked past us yesterday heading to the bill struth main stand front doors ?We all couldn't believe how small in height he was ?.

25.) 24 Jul 2022 10:25:25
There will be outgoing, and one mb two significant incoming.

26.) 24 Jul 2022 10:46:31
John25, that's encouraging news, especially the outgoings.
Will it be loans to buy mate? just to initially ease the wage bill and squad size?
Clues on the incomings?

27.) 24 Jul 2022 11:56:05
I would retain Helander and Middleton as we need left footers. Middleton will be on low wages and can do a turn in a few positions. Helander should be allowed to get fit. Roofe, not sure, it would depend on whether the mental trouble rumours are true. Sakala, Katic, Simpson should be sold or released.

28.) 24 Jul 2022 12:07:36
No storm I remember him not being affraid to tackle you know like goldson was against kane yesterday and remember him not being affraid to risk everything to block a shot or cross . you know like goldson never did in final. and remember him taking responsibility you know like goldson never does in fact always throws his hands up and blames others you know like he did in final with our youngest defender on park the guy that was sold for 20 odd million and man of the match ? goldson is rubbish in air does not take responsibility is too slow only thing he seems to be good at is long diagonals and pointing the finger and errh quitting at half time in a match ?.

29.) 24 Jul 2022 13:54:03
Would love liam delap on loan from man city that would be something else even until January.

30.) 24 Jul 2022 14:27:59
Hahahahahaha yeah katic is amazing CH z that’s why all those clubs are willing to buy him ??? thanks for cheering me up this fine Sunday.

31.) 24 Jul 2022 14:28:37
GVB a Southampton trying to buy him for 16 million don’t know if city have accepted it or not.

32.) 24 Jul 2022 15:25:06
Mcminn how do u release players with years left on contract. You cant.

I have never once presumed to say who we should sign, that's for the experts. But now I'm going to say if we don't sign a starting left back in the next two days we are in for a shaky season.

tavsonloyal

1.) 30 Aug 2023 20:57:36
I'm going to agree with you tavson.

2.) 30 Aug 2023 20:58:23
Barasic hasn’t been the worst.

3.) 30 Aug 2023 20:58:25
And a right back.

4.) 30 Aug 2023 21:04:22
bgate w, I never said he was, but he is always close to being the worst when we have a step in in class of opposition. He is an abject coward, never gets closer than 2 yards away from his man, and can't tackle. Over the period, he's the worst.

25 Jul 2023 21:34:03
Just watched Servette v Genk, 1-1 but Genk looked the better team and should go through. They will be tough opposition so we'll need to be ready for it.

i agree tav, very tricky tie imo, both decent but genk is really hard team to draw at the stage of season there at, that worries me, we will be cold. like kaunas and orogress, we will be going in without any real game time, we must be ready.

2.) 26 Jul 2023 02:01:32
Servette finished 2nd last season and will be 3 games into there league plus 2 champions league qualifiers if we get them even at this stage in qualifying there are no mugs and qualifying will be hard.

3.) 26 Jul 2023 07:06:57
Absolutely no mugs in europe and of course it's going to be difficult for us because there's a lot of new players trying to bed in/ gel into the bargain here, that takes time and patience, So i agree whether it's genk or servette we playing against in the 3rd qualifying round, it's going to be difficult for us but of course we can do it.

4.) 26 Jul 2023 08:07:19
In all honesty if we can't beat any of them then we don't deserve to be in Europe.

5.) 26 Jul 2023 08:07:41
Michael beal is the best . He put cantwell on McGregor last game against Celtic which was a master stroke because McGregor is still trying to climb out Todd’s pocket .
I’m sure Mich has already identified the threat both these teams have and has a plan of action already .
Plus the reason our players have signed is for this moment . So there will be ultimate effort from our lads . Quietly optimistic.

25 May 2023 13:39:58
When did we last have a player as clever, as quick of thought and movement, as brave and as hard working as Cantwell?

tavsonloyal

1.) 25 May 2023 14:54:44
Stevie Davis?

2.) 25 May 2023 16:04:09
Agree Steven Davis reminds me of him with his intelligence and being in the right place at the right time.

3.) 25 May 2023 18:34:23
If he can show it now he can show it when there is more pressure.

4.) 25 May 2023 18:41:20
Tav once mcrorie causes more goals than tav we can answer that.

5.) 25 May 2023 21:34:40
Davo top of his game was class. A really tidy midfielder who dictated games. Cantwell however is different gravy! If he had played like he is now for Norwich, some big prem team would have snapped him up. Absolute baller.

25 May 2023 13:36:51
I have seen every Rangers keeper since George Niven, and loved the majority of them. I can't in all honesty see Robby McCrorie reaching the heights of Woods, Klos, Goram, McGregor etc, so my question is: should we go big and invest in a top class new goalie or should we give the lad a season (risky) to see how he pans out?

tavsonloyal

1.) 25 May 2023 14:02:03
Caught in 2 minds, I did think mcrorie could save us a fortune on a new no1 . Then we could use transfer budget on outfield players. Thinking about it I’d agree Robbie is unlikely to reach the heights of the above so rangers should always be looking for better and if their is and available sign them.

2.) 25 May 2023 14:21:37
Top class keeper needed, McCrorie number two next season, the boy is nowhere near ready to be number one.

3.) 25 May 2023 14:52:10
Keeper should be signed but Mcgrorie should get the cup games next season he's never let us down.

4.) 25 May 2023 15:21:07
Tav
give boy break, Niven Brown et al lot to live up to but boy hasn't put glove wrong yet. Plus may I say save gainst Hibs truly professional. let's wait until he truly ##### up and then solve problem. But at present there is none. Give him close season then rethink.

5.) 25 May 2023 15:50:29
At what age do we stop calling mccrorie a boy.

6.) 25 May 2023 16:10:28
McCrorie is ready for first team football. The question should be is he good enough to play for Rangers? I would say that he is, but I do have some question marks in relation to his confidence. It may be worthwhile to get him out on loan outside of Scotland for at least half a season to see how he progresses. He has the ability, let's see if he has the fortitude to do it for Rangers.

7.) 25 May 2023 16:13:42
I'll say again 5 clean sheets out of 6, and two games against Celtic this far without losing a goal, agree JFM, he's not a boy, he's 25 as far as I'm aware, he must be given more time to see if he can maintain his success ratio thus far.

8.) 25 May 2023 16:52:32
If he was playing last night he would quickly have come out and cleared the ball.

9.) 25 May 2023 19:32:58
Irv is it not four in five.

10.) 25 May 2023 20:05:01
What should have happened is this instead of this dilemma is he good enough? We don’t really know yet because he really should have been our no 1 this season a lot sooner than the last 3 games or so, then we could have a better idea, but instead of this they played mcgregor who should never have got another season, and mcgluachlin who just not good enough, so this is why we’re in this current mess of is he good enough.

11.) 25 May 2023 22:54:13
You are correct John, as usual mate.

12.) 26 May 2023 11:29:06
Cool Irv, u know I get plenty wrong, Rfcrb logs them. If his click bait site done better I’d be happier.

10 Mar 2023 14:03:38
With Roofe now out for the rest of the season, I don't think we'll ever see him in a Rangers jersey again. pity, because he was a decent player, but has had a nightmare career.

tavsonloyal

1.) 10 Mar 2023 14:42:21
Enough enough with him, either pay him off or try sell him but let's face it no1 will buy him.

2.) 10 Mar 2023 15:04:06
If we can’t sell him then pay him off he is stealing a wage it’s a disgrace.

3.) 10 Mar 2023 15:33:29
I'd be happy to give him away in the summer, possibly even help another club pay his wages for the season.

4.) 10 Mar 2023 15:50:26
We knew his injury history when we signed him, must have made a great living over the years for little input, but as I say our fault for signing injured players,

5.) 10 Mar 2023 15:52:55
We might need to honour his contract, I doubt anyone would buy him and I doubt he wants to be injured either.

6.) 10 Mar 2023 16:29:26
That's terrible news for all, a very good player, but just not available much.

7.) 10 Mar 2023 16:50:31
Is a shame he's made of glass because he's a player no doubt, that half way line worldy in the poring rain had me out my seat. But that last injury was embarrassing, he just fell on to some grass.

8.) 10 Mar 2023 17:00:25
The guy is laughing all the way to the bank as he is literally stealing from us

Who signed this guy with a proven injury record!

9.) 10 Mar 2023 17:46:34
I beg to differ, as i think we will see roofe in a rangers jersey again ? He's under contract until 2024 and beale hinted a week or so ago he was giving roofe time after he went to see the specialist, not to mention how highly beale rates him?I can't see us paying him off and i can't see any other club trying to buy him just now?.

10.) 10 Mar 2023 17:47:40
Bgate that’s why I am saying pay him off better just to get rid of him.

I said on here when we signed him about his injury problems it was well known and it’s been a ridiculous signing that’s cost us a fortune.

11.) 10 Mar 2023 17:58:26
Genuine question, is Roofe the biggest waste of money we’ve ever spent on a player?

We must have paid about £10M by now and hardly get anything in return in performances and definitely won't get anything back In the way of a fee.

Can’t remember a bigger waste of money?

12.) 10 Mar 2023 18:20:08
Bazbear, think it was a carpet burn at Livi?.

13.) 10 Mar 2023 18:39:22
Roofe has scored some important goals for us - nowhere near the biggest waste of money we have signed - that is just a ridiculous statement - he has had injury problems all his career that is why he is with us - an injury free Roofe would have been an absolute machine and would have been at a top EPL club - let's not forget that goal in the Europa League in Belgium absolute class.

14.) 10 Mar 2023 18:57:05
Roofes goal helped in securing 55 so by no way is he a waste we've guys like rabbi or further back kuznetzov or Jonas tern who cost big fees but played only a few games also what about the dud signed by Caixinha the forward I can't remember his name but cost a few million but hardly featured.

15.) 10 Mar 2023 18:59:32
We once paid 4m (around 7.3m today) for Seb Rozental in 1996/ 97 he stayed for 5 years, and scored 3 goals. I would say that was a bigger waste of money!
Roofe, even with his horrendous injury record, has scored over 30 goals for us.

16.) 10 Mar 2023 19:14:21
Jonas Thern was a Bosman and wasn’t with us for long if memory serves me right.

Agreed Rozenthal is up there as well, but Roofe is also up there. Signed for around £4.5M and is on nearly 40k per week.

He did score the best Rangers goal I’ve ever seen, but to be fair has spent more than half the time he has been here on the treatment table. And I think in terms of value for money, there isn’t many players (of any) that have contributed less.

17.) 10 Mar 2023 19:22:44
Kemar Roofe is a very talented player. He has scored a plethora of goals for us, and helped us to 55. The guy oozes class, and yes, his injury record is really bad, but when he's fit, he's done his bit for us!
The guy, right now, is stuck in hospital having gone through another operation, and we have posters questioning whether he's the biggest waste of money ever at Rangers?! ?‍♂️.

18.) 10 Mar 2023 19:34:52
Zikos! Michael Ball?! Flo?! Pena?! All bigger wastes of money than Kemar Roofer will ever be!
That 4 I've listed now. Is that enough for you?

19.) 10 Mar 2023 19:47:30
No one will change my mind on roofe spent more time injury than he has played because he is made of chocolate not even glass.

Zikos I would say biggest waste but he is up there. Scored a few goals and gets off scot free nope never. Pay him off.

20.) 10 Mar 2023 20:04:57
Totally agree with you Big Ben ?
We all know roofe has had his injury problems that's without question and we all should know who very talented a footballer this guy is, who has contributed when he's been available and has a terrific goal ratio for rangers ?So for a wee moment to all who want this that and the next thing done with roofe think about him and his state of mind for a second ? He's had all these injuries after injuries which have affected him mentally, so let's spare a thought for that side of things and give the guy support and all our best wishes going forward and hoping he gets over his injury problems and back to what he does best, scoring goals ?I wish kemar roofe the very best of luck in his recovery ?.

21.) 10 Mar 2023 20:19:57
Great post Coops, spot on.

22.) 10 Mar 2023 21:04:57
Daniel Prodan. Bless him, poor guy but never kicked a ball.

23.) 10 Mar 2023 21:38:56
Yeah affected him mentally but the 35k each week he is picking up surely helps him no end stole a wage from leeds and done the same here.

24.) 10 Mar 2023 21:49:00
Big Ben, the only one you mentioned that comes close is Rozenthal and to be fair I think he takes the award. But the others you’ve mentioned don’t even come close. Ball contributed more, Flo gave us goals and some sort of resale value and Pen didn’t cost a fraction of what Roofe has cost.

Btw, I’m not doubting his ability, I actually think he is the best striker at the club when fit - but that very rarely happens and when it does he gets injured soon after.

Since joining the club I think he has been injured for over 600 days, around 2 seasons! That is not value for money.

25.) 10 Mar 2023 21:52:01
No excuses for Roofe anymore.

26.) 10 Mar 2023 21:54:57
In 3 seasons he has only played 27 league matches. And on close to £40k pw….

27.) 10 Mar 2023 22:10:55
Roofe gives his all when he is available to playand it is not his fault he has had an injury blighted career. If you think he is happy being paid to be unable to play his chosen career, then think again.

28.) 10 Mar 2023 23:00:10
Are you serious, Zikos?!
Flo?! Don't make me laugh. The guy was bought for over 12m in 2000 (21.5m today), and sold for 6.7m in 2002 (11.7m today) . So there, right away, that's a 10m loss in today's money. On top of that, he was getting wages of more than 20k a week, which in today's money, is around the same as Roofe is on. Oh, and just incase you didn't know, he scored less goals than Roofe.
Just saying! ?‍♂️?.

29.) 11 Mar 2023 00:38:40
I was done with him last season, some player but when not enough, Roofe could have played with some of the injuries he's had, only if he had balls, been many players playing with a slightly worse injury that's kept him out, my opinion on him.

30.) 11 Mar 2023 00:42:18
Roofes the best we've got when fit. Unfortunately for him and us doesn't happen often enough. Real shame, great player.

31.) 11 Mar 2023 03:14:19
Rozenthal biggest waste ever for me boy was a superstar in the making, just our luck first game did his knee ligaments in, prodan athletico stitched us up and sold him too us injured they doctored his medical, thern unbelievable player, again knee injury’s finished him, kuznetsov knee ligaments first game, mols oliver kahn tackle, the list is endless it’s in our dna .

32.) 11 Mar 2023 06:42:40
Flo actually had a good goals to game ratio.

33.) 11 Mar 2023 09:42:13
It's Flo for me, couldn't believe we signed him and spent so much money on him.

34.) 11 Mar 2023 09:48:41
Roofe, 21 league goals in 48 games.
Flo, 19 league goals in 33 games.

Flo scored those goals in one season and it has taken Roofe 3 seasons to score slightly more.

I think Flo’s goes scoring record for Rangers stands up to anyone. But I take your point, with inflation we probably wasted as much money on him as we have with Roofe. But only with inflation.

If you were using inflation then probably Alex Ferguson was the biggest waste of money ?.

Btw if I could choose between Flo and Roofe I would take Flo in a heartbeat.

bgate w, I never said he was, but he is always close to being the worst when we have a step in in class of opposition. He is an abject coward, never gets closer than 2 yards away from his man, and can't tackle. Over the period, he's the worst.

If it could be only one win then it must be the mhankies. Even the manager said the difference in cash from the two Euro competitions isn't a real game changer, whereas winning the league opens up all sorts of opportunities, like automatic entry into the CL groups and entry to the new world club cup and all the real cash that goes with it. Winning the league this season should be our top ambition.

Just another bampot who never knew what he had until his stupidity cost him everything. Rangers did everything to help him, even keeping him until he was 23 to give him every chance.
