what a difference actually having a permanent manager in place instead of a stepping stone guy (sorry sg ) but we are now witnessing a manager who is her for years i feel --now a new appointment for the academy with praise coming from europe on jacobs. In the end stevie couldn't get out fast enough leaving our training grounds like a ghost town to continue his quest for the holy grail (liverpool) --our dutch connection is alive and well and i look forward to an orange future.

I've been very impressed with gvb so far, we seem to be defending better played 4 conceded 1 goal, barisic in particular has impressed under gvb, sg done well for us left us in a much better place than he found us, disappointed at the time when he left but now I think he's done us a favour leaving, i think we've a much better chance of winning the league with gvb as manager.

Deecee INYO GVB is here for years instead of being a stepping stone. let's face it if GVB is headhunted by Arsenal or Barcalona for instance, we may be looking for another manager, which would prove what a great job he would have done. let's enjoy the success he will bring to the club.

Deecee u do also know the search for head of academy started under gerrard and was the choice of Beale and Wilson. The appointment was ratified by gvb.

Agree with a few on here, IF a top EPL Or European team come after him, it means we will have done the business over say 2 years minimum,

i actually meant that in my post --gerard was here 3 years give or take and won 1 trophy albeit it was worth 10 trophies but still just one gvb will stay for 3 to 5 years with number 56 57 and 58 intact then he can go to arsenal.
