Are we the only team in the division who have absolutely NO threat at corners or free kicks.
You can see, especially the lower half of the league teams, have worked on this and always seem to pose a threat. We have nothing! Crosses go nowhere or are unchallenged wtf!
We got a result today, I hesitate to say we 'won', Ross County were comfortable the whole game and don't start me about Morelos! He looks heavy, slow and disinterested, I won't start on the redt as it could be a very long post!

Shambolic performance again from Rangers. Jordan Jones looked hungry and dangerous when he came on.
The win is just papering over the cracks. A better team with the same chances ross county had would have burried us today.

Oh well, onwards ro Thursday night against Leverkusen.

2.) 08 Mar 2020 14:10:00
BAR72, got to agree with you, never see any variety in our corners, and your comments re Alfie are spot on. I would drop him for Leverkusen game. Kent looked better on the right (well he is right footed! ) I might be getting old but when I was a kid by and large you played on the side of the park where your stronger foot was. I've been screaming for SG to play kent on the right for months, to go outside defenders instead of this cut back inside nonsense. 3pts is 3pts I suppose, tough games the next two.

3.) 08 Mar 2020 18:49:09
He didn't cut inside tho he wouldn't hsve scored lol.

4.) 09 Mar 2020 11:40:54
We Rangers fans stood up for Morelos when he received racist abuse from Celtic fans and others. We've praised his goalscoring abilities to the hilt.

And he repays us by seeming not to give a toss about Rangers. So ungrateful and he's only harming his own career. Today again he looked sluggish and carrying a few pounds too many for a modern footballer.

I think if we get any offer in the vicinity of 8-10 million we take it in an instant.

Billy Gilour mom v Liverpool, what did we lose there?

BAR72

1.) 03 Mar 2020 22:06:12
Chelsea offered 2k a week wages I read. We couldn't or wouldn't match it at the time.

2.) 04 Mar 2020 02:42:32
Was more like £20k a week.

3.) 04 Mar 2020 00:30:26
Far as I know he and his family were made a good offer, they chose to take the money and head to London, great tonight, let’s see where he is in 3 years, he walked away from the biggest club he will ever play for, so did Charlie whatsisname and the Barry superstar guy, were are they now?

4.) 04 Mar 2020 05:00:47
To be honest Tommybloo12,billy gilmour is way ahead of the aforementioned by yourself. He'll make it bigtime pal, i don't think there's any doubt about that. The 2 you mention above wouldn't get anywhere near the chelsea first team never mind looking superb in that sort of company! Gilmour is pure quality!

5.) 04 Mar 2020 07:24:45
My point through the week as I asked when was the last academy player given a chance in the first team squad. Lewis McLeod someone said. there's another big problem at our club.

6.) 04 Mar 2020 08:00:21
Problem is, when are any of our promising youngsters going to be given a chance in the first team? As long as a Rangers manager is under pressure to win silverware, and the pressure now is greater than ever, he is unlikely to take risks with untried young players. Ally McCoist had the chance to bring some youngsters through when we were dumped down into division 3 but didn't so I can't see Gerrard doing so now.

7.) 04 Mar 2020 08:25:12
I agree Doiger but if we are going to keep SG I wouldn't give him more money. His signings have been poor and we can't afford to fritter anymore money away.

8.) 04 Mar 2020 08:36:27
On this thread we’ve moved from talking about the sublime talent of young Gilmour to snide remarks of ex players and the chances SG gives them, you must all remember when a Green and his cohorts came in they asset stripped everything we had from Arsenal shares to any young talent they could sell they shut down the scouting system cut right back on youth coaches, so when SG came in he had to build from scratch and as mentioned above we have got some young talent back in but you can’t just throw them in against physical teams like we have in Scotland in that game last night he was allowed to play as he was on the park with others who could play, can you imagine up here he’d be taken out early to stop him and same with any other young talent so they need to have more body strength to hold off that type of player I’m sure the young players we have if good enough will get their chance remember our young players are now playing in European youth leagues against older players so they will reap the benefit and let’s just see how far they can go.

9.) 04 Mar 2020 09:10:06
So what about some of the kids in the youth team now twacoos? Can't they be given a chance? What happened to Josh McPake for instance?

10.) 04 Mar 2020 10:08:26
Agreed Doiger. You can't tell me their isint talent there.

11.) 04 Mar 2020 10:09:06
have to remember our league is full of hammer throwers and the refs are happy to watch them bully and kick young skilled players about. Hagi is a prime example.
younger players in England need skill but are afforded protection especially in the top league.
our league is a disgrace, and its another reason why we do better in europe.

12.) 04 Mar 2020 13:34:19
Keep SG but give him no money 😱😱 seriously AS1974 you moan he’s not won anything but that’s your plan to turn that around how the F! k does that work?

13.) 04 Mar 2020 13:44:19
DOIGER : yes we have some decent young players my point was we can’t rush them you can coach skills but you can’t coach maturity young players take time to develop especially up here where players of less ability get bullied last night allowed gilmour to play up here he’d be taken out first chance as he isn’t as strong as older journeymen so patients is needed and blood them when we are winning.

14.) 04 Mar 2020 15:31:42
Whether its Ally in the bottom league or SG now, there is always the pressure of winning every game at Rangers. There are some decent kids with us just now, and I would like to see some of them given a chance if and when its mathematically impossible to win the league this season, and then get more of them training with the first team squad in the summer.

15.) 04 Mar 2020 16:24:09
Guys u ask why mcpake, barjonnas etc etc are not playing for us, they can’t get games at Dundee, raith Morton Rotherham Plymouth Dumbarton and the likes.
Be honest how many of you go and watch our reserves or academy players.

16.) 04 Mar 2020 17:44:49
McPake went to Dundee first half of the season and was too lightweight, got bullied by grown men. Needs to develop his physique a bit.

07 Nov 2019 09:33:25
Great result for the young team last night.
One thing I noticed though, in the picture on the Rangers website for the game, Murty et al look like they are getting soaked BUT why is Frank Lampard sitting at the left of the bench LOL!

Was that the same Sadiq, (big flop for us) playing for Partizan last night against Man Utd?
Surely not? He looked a monster.

BAR72

1.) 25 Oct 2019 17:09:55
He looked ok.

2.) 25 Oct 2019 23:05:19
Ok? you having a laugh!

For anyone who hasn't watched the Motherwell v Hearts highlights.
It's worth a look!

BAR72

1.) 16 Sep 2019 21:15:38
Hearts are in terminal decline, sad to see, but Levein is clueless. A manager who used to be a defender allowing his team to be so bad at the back. Our problems are trivial compared to them.

2.) 16 Sep 2019 21:27:24
What's your point BAR72,that the motherwell V hearts highlights is worth a look? Is it a particular player or the team performance of motherwell mate?

3.) 16 Sep 2019 23:21:00
Seedorfs goal is a belter to be fair.

4.) 17 Sep 2019 05:38:03
have WE got problems?

5.) 17 Sep 2019 08:14:41
SGL - Motherwell are not the they were last year, they play quick attacking football and are sitting with the same points as us and only a goal or 2 difference. Hearts (I think) are better side than Livingston and Motherwell ripped them apart away from home. Their forward line (Seedorf especially on the left) could give our guys a headache (in my opinion! )

6.) 17 Sep 2019 09:10:51
Motherwell are not on the same points as us and if they give us problems they will give them problems, if we can't beat both these teams then we will not get 55 this season.

7.) 17 Sep 2019 09:24:37
To be honest Motherwell looked far better against Celtic than we did. In 1st half they had them on ropes.

8.) 17 Sep 2019 12:03:17
and yet still lost ….

9.) 18 Sep 2019 14:03:15
Eric - if Motherwell play to form it might be an Orwellian nightmare for you!

Need to sign Hagi - he has done more in the few weeks he has been here than Kent, ono, ex hibs winger? , Murphy, put together.
Has great skill, can spot a pass, runs beyond defences, can take a tackle, and score goals, what is there to think about?

I've said it b4 and will say it again, wee Hagi is an absolute steal if we can get him signed up.
Has done more in a month than some have in a year.
Oh my days, I need to go and lie down after that one.
ONWARD and UPWARD.

It was only a matter of time till last night hit us!
I think the mAjority of bears wanted us to kick on and get back to form before the split, but for those of us without rose tinted glasses this was staring us in the face.
McGregor - not what he was last year
Halliday - contributed nothing, no threat on the left
Golden and Katic - where were they at the goals and NO threat at corners or free kicks
Tavernier - crossing and shooting abysmal
Aribo - posted missing
Arfield - at least had a g, pass mark's for him, just!
Hagi - welcome to Scottish football - none on the same wavelength as him!
Jack- contributed nothing
Kent - didn't beat a man all night and no shots for a forward?
Morelos - way off the pace, shooting at the moon, and spends more time on his backside

Did the Killie goalkeeper even have a shot to save!

SG if you weren't under pressure before? You better get your hard hat on now mate.

I liked the runs beyond Alfie and the defence he made as well - not seen that since Durrant - IF we have someone that can pick him out we have a gem :-)

Paul - I agree mater - some of the stick being handed out by Hibs last night was brutal and not even subtle
Madden really should look over that game again with the Referee supervisor.
