Watched a couple of minutes of the Dundee utd game yesterday, big difference from us is the opposition were taking regular pot shots from outside the box?
Why? don't we do that more often, we cannot score the perfect goal all the time.

We did yesterday Kent, barker and jack all had decent shots from outside the box and if it wasn’t for a good save Kent would have scored just before half time.

2.) 23 Aug 2020 11:53:24
That has been our issue bar72, trying to walk it in. At HT yesterday we changed it and went with itten and roofe through the middle and we were much better. Our cm's and wide players had much more space to create. Long may it continue. 👍.

3.) 23 Aug 2020 12:48:06
Coldo I have been saying for god knows how long. That we don’t have enough shots from outside the box, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️😎👍.

4.) 23 Aug 2020 13:00:05
I must have seen a different result from you Bar72 because I thought Celtic only won 1 - 0🤔
Unless you get additional goals now for the more shots you take from outside the box🤔
They’ve currently dropped the same amount of points as us and you’re creaming your pants over how well they are playing 🤔🤪😂.

5.) 23 Aug 2020 14:27:30
This season we have been hitting shots from outside the box.

6.) 23 Aug 2020 15:14:18
Deemc22. I’m not saying that we haven’t been having a go from outside the box, But not enough, As coldo stated we are still trying to walk the ball into the goals. As youngster and through to adulthood was always told have a go, Scored many a screamer, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️😎👍.

7.) 23 Aug 2020 15:17:10
Rangers had more shots on goal and on target than Celtic, so, we did change things from previous games. I am a strong advocate for more shooting from outside the box, and stated so in a post last week, keep it going Gers, no goals conceded is also a major factor for me.

8.) 23 Aug 2020 15:22:50
BB72, hardly creaming my pants, stating the bleeding obvious, the Dun utd keeper apparently had at least half a dozen worldies and they hit the post.
An opinion doesn't need shot down kiddo.

9.) 23 Aug 2020 16:44:43
Simple coaching instructions for kids upwards: The nearer you are to the goal, the better chance you have of scoring. Long shots are a lottery as this poster proved, defeating his own argument. They scored one goal. Long shots are easier for the keeper to see and react to, and most of them end up a goal kick, thus relinquishing possession. Shooting from distance is a tactic that should be used sparingly and only if you have proper sight of the target.

Worth listening to Anne Budge about money (no strings attached) which could help out Scottish football and these fancies at SFA SPFL haven't even picked up the phone.
Apparently the same 'philanthtopists' have ploughed 9 million into hearts in recent years.
What is there to think about!

1.) 30 May 2020 21:56:44
Are they trying to buy votes from the lower leagues for the restructuring. The supposed investors may already be heavily invested in Hearts and may see this as a way to protect their investment if Hearts stay up, people don't give money away for FA. i'm afraid if Celtic are GIVEN the title then Hearts have to be relegated.

2.) 30 May 2020 22:29:22
TJBB its NOT an investment, there are no strings no contract.

3.) 31 May 2020 00:01:41
Semantics Bar72, Its all to convenient. Hearts need the lower league votes for any re construction to happen and all of as sudden there maybe be some cash injection to to help the lower clubs. Not convinced. I do feel sorry for Hearts, they should use the money to have the league called NAV in the courts, stay up and have D Utd remain where I think they belong.

4.) 31 May 2020 03:24:40
Hearts have only themselves to blame. Won 4 league games at home in a calendar year and unbelievable they beat us. So if we can't beat hearts and hamilton then we can't complain either. Time to move on get a team capable of getting 90 to 95 points.

5.) 31 May 2020 19:33:58
Tjbb, i don't think ann budge should be trying to restructure the league, what are the spfl & sfa, doing about restructuring the leagues, sweet fanny adams mate, they are paid as the people that run scottish football, not ann budge, it doesn't matter if its in her interest. To stay up, the guys paid to run the game up hear, should be the guys doing the job, pal.

Going into next season, we need to have a picture of that smug wee ned on the dressing room wall saying it's the best ever
Let's Fek them whenever the world returns to some kind of normal and people stop dying in their hundreds.

How can it say that under the current circumstances? It really is a horrible excuse for a man. Like no other I suppose.

2.) 19 May 2020 15:02:43
but surely by his own admission they were the hardest hit.

Football back on TV today, any regular punters got any tips for a wee bet later?

Ridiculous, everyone doing the 2 metre social distancing thing even at the coin toss - whistle goes and they are all tearing into one another, all bolilox!

{Ed001's Note - have you seen the benches? The subs all sat 2ms apart. It is ludicrous. Either it is safe to play behind closed doors and just get on with it or don't, but this half-arsed thing is just silly. You can't possibly social distance and play football together.}

The tackle Ferguson got booked for yesterday would have been a sending off in an old firm game, not for me I'm afraid.

John25, I have already said on here we won't spend until we get money in from Fred or Barisic. I understand that, however this announcement to me, at this time, 3 days b4 the league starts, either to get55 or to stop their 9.75, is embarrassing. Its another Academy player, we won't see in a first team Jersey.

I think the way things are going there will be clubs higher up the pecking order if we were to go down that route.
Would shorten the route to EPL, but we would still need ££££ to make sure we get there.

Have to agree to an extent with coldo, we are moving the ball quicker last few games. Is Aribo the problem, not sure.
As for the lad Johnson, I only saw highlights but did he do anything of note other than score the penalty the other night?

a very balanced G78 and view and in my opinion, spot on. The same could be said for Katic and Edmundson - both young and full of energy, but Goldson (not my fav) and Helander seem very composed and happy with he ball at their feet.
