Rangers are reportedly in the hunt to sign Croatian defender Luka Jelenic.
Jelenic is believed to be on his way out of Osijek this summer, just 12 months after joining.
Now, despite having two years left to run on his deal, Croatian media outlet 24Sata says he's expected to leave Osijek in the coming weeks.
The report claims Rangers are one of the interested teams. Portuguese outfit Vitoria Guimaraes are also vying for his signature.

Big Dado, Katic, Jelavic and Barasiç all very good signings for us in the past. The Croatians seem to do well in Glasgow and have a steely determination and strong mentality.

Dizzee - Camara from PSG went to Guimares aswell, they are the club competing with us for Jelenic now as well, they have young ambitious manager that is siging up some quality young players for their coming campaign.
Jelenic came through Dinamo Zagreb youth system for 10 years.
position CB, age 25, 2 years lefy on contract, current valuation 1 mill, played most of last season for Osijek. same club we got barisic and Grezda came from the same club.
Good signing i reckon if we can pip Guimares to his signing.

Ehl if we're going to be more balanced? By this I take it u mean more rounded with older younger foreign domestic etc all a good fair mix, then that can only be better.

I know a few journalists and they drove me mad - as they purposely let themselves be manipulated for clicks / sales.
What I mean by that is agents of players will approach us to see if we're interested, the agents then leak to the media that they've spoken to Rangers and before you know it there's a story running for three days.
The journalist know fine well what's happening and milk it for all it's worth.

I've learned to not believe any transfer stories until the scarf is being held up over the players head at Ibrox.
Most transfer stories are made up garbage and the minute I read both Old Firm clubs are allegedly after the same player I know it's definitely not true.

Storm I totally agree the papers come on here and no doubt same with other sites and take rumours from the posters they know are very much itk. That's not what I'm disputing mate.
The Ethan's I've not explained what I meant perfectly, all I'm saying is I'm sick of seeing people getting told anytime they say something that it's from the papers and don't believe it and don't listen to sky they know nothing. Sky know plenty and fet plenty right.
Is sky sports news ran solely on transfers nice they're done it would be a very short programme not a 24/ 7 news channel.
There are people in here, back when all rumours were posted by them, that post a lot o fb stuff that never happens. That's not cause it's false info it's cause goalposts move things don't materialise like was hoped and so on.
This is what caused a lot of people to stop posting rumours until they came out and then the posters would say yeah that's true I was told that x amount of time ago.
Anyway, all I meant was simply down to the poster telling me not to believe what I read in papers, I was trying to say. I don't buy papers or read them really in general online either so the poster was wrong to say that to me. Not his fault maybe I didn't explain myself properly when I wrote that.

Max Aarons has earned 27 caps for the England Under-21 team. He also represented England at the Under-19 level, accumulating 7 caps.
What's not to like about Rangers bringing a player of his quality to the club who can play RB or LB.

Modern footballl you either produce prolific stats but maybe aren't as good on the eye or your good on the eye and don't produce high numbers. The players that do both we will never sign. that's the problem people complain when they don't get the numbers but maybe offer more in other terms a bit like Kent and then vice versa with cerny. Think Dolan would be a good signing on a free though as we need depth.

Rangers shouldn’t ask for any transfer fee. If they want him, let Scott Wright speak to them, and let us hope that he leaves. Last summer Beale set up a move to Turkey for him and he refused it.
Scott Wright is clearly not good enough but Rangers can’t force him to leave. Clement seems to like him, he played him a lot, that might encourage Scott Wright to stay.

Celtic are financially healthy. They don’t need to sell anyone this summer. O'Riley is one of their major assets, so they can demand funny money for him, and someone will probably give them it too. O'Riley was nothing special initially either but Celtic have stuck with him and developed him in to a very good player. At Rangers he would have been written off, harassed, and loaned out within the first 12 months.
Rangers are still very much in need of cash both on and off the pitch. If a bid of £10m came in for Butland I think the club would take that in a heartbeat. Especially with this new financial uncertainty surrounding Ibrox stadium.
Rangers still have some way to go here. We actually caught up with them when we won 55. I can't believe how far back the club has fallen since Gerrard left.

£18m is absolutely nothing to an English club. They will pay that no problem if they think he is worth it. They will pay £25m at the drop of a hat if they think he is worth it.
Celtic held out for £25m cash upfront for Tierney from Arsenal. Why? Because they can afford to turn money like that down, hold out, take risks. Rangers cannot.
Celtic is healthy financial position gives them a strong position to demand more only because they do not need to sell. They are operating at a profit regardless. Rangers aren’t. Rangers need to sell player and/ or be involving in Europe regularly just to sustain.

I noticed Birmingham City are in talks to sign OOC Japanese Attacking Midfielder Kanya Fujimoto. He has been playing for Gil Vincente in Portugal. Given how light we are in that department with Lawrence and Hagi leaving and also Bajrami possibly joining them out the door. As a bosman I think we should be looking seriously at the guy. Turns 26 next month and has been playing regularly at a decent level. 11 goal contributions in 30 league games is a half decent return in Portugal.

I would absolutely not want an obligation on this deal. If he only manages 338 minutes again like he made last season we would be left high and dry. An option on an agreeable fee is the way to go. This is a punt that he can rekindle the promise he showed at Norwich and shake off a fair bit of rustiness.

I've no doubt we will try and move Cifuentes on in this window. However he did play against Panathanaikos twice last season and held his own in both games. He is still very much our player so why not view him as an asset until such times as he wins a move.

Maybe Cifuentes can be an unlikely hero and put himself in the Greek shop window. He played well against them twice and came out with a draw away and helped secure a win at home with Aris.
