Pace yes that sounds good, but even if you look at Euros for pacey strikers there are not many, actually elderly slow strikers still hanging on . So maybe Sima is the deal needing to be sorted .

There are so many rumours over the summer that don`t come true, I can only pray that Kenny McLean signing is one of them. He was too slow and bang average at his peak, now that he`s 32 he is nowhere near good enough to sign for us . I saw an article comparing him with Steve Davis, he`s not good enough to lace Stevos boots, in fact I would bring him out of retirement before I would waste money on McLean. We must be able to find better than him.

Davis didn’t have pace. Jack didn’t have pace. Diomande will add good energy to the midfield but what we’re really crying out for is what Jack offered in terms of reading the game, breaking up play, someone who can win tackles and protect the defence. McLean attempted and won the most ground duels out of all midfielders in the championship last season. Had one of the highest interception rates too. Lauded for his fantastic work rate and stamina. Played 52 games in a tough league. Won POTY for Norwich. Captain for most of the season. Great addition IMO.

The boy Ramalho is the o ly brazilian CB at psv and he was the only one ro really give us much of a sniff over the 4 recent games with them.

McLean is way too slow for our midfield and that is a position that we have really lacked pace with Lunny, Jack and Raskin being in there so not keen on this move at all and he's 32 with a fee being required, makes zero sense here.
Since when does PC ever give away his transfer strategy? Maybe he is just saying this to throw people off as we certainly don't need too much experience (depending on out's of course) we have a model with Koppen in charge and we certainly will be focusing on that going forward.

Coisty9, I already said that Davis is a class above McLean in every aspect of the game so no comparison, Jack was far quicker across the ground until his injuries started to affect him and quoting someone record in a lower league doesn't impress me much, guys like Lawrence Davies and Dowell did okay in the Championship and I would hope we would have learned that proves nothing.
As for the he's a fan, he's Scottish and can tackle argument well that last bit assumes he actually gets there to tackle and based on those criteria we could just pick someone out the crowd. If he is the standard we are looking at we won't win the league and the manager who paid money for him will be gone by Christmas.
