Seen online comment that BBC are reporting that Danillo and Lawrence out for rest of year with Danillo possibly needing surgery?
Hope this is grossly incorrect!

Blue-Floyd2

1.) 08 Dec 2023 18:44:36
It's correct. Clement said it in today's press conference.

2.) 08 Dec 2023 19:08:53
What’s happened to Danilo? He seems to be injury prone as well.

3.) 08 Dec 2023 19:16:25
It’s from the press conference do you even support rangers?

4.) 08 Dec 2023 20:17:11
Its like the old saying “ it never rains but it pours “ my question is do we have more players available or unavailable?

5.) 08 Dec 2023 20:49:51
Danilo does need surgery.

6.) 08 Dec 2023 22:12:54
Just my opinion but the way Danilo has been playing, recently, he won't be missed. Yes his mobility and effort is good but the chances he misses and his goals to games ratio don't make good reading. Hopefully we can get and keep Roofe fit until January at least.

7.) 09 Dec 2023 08:34:47
For me personally I think we push Sima up top until January and bring in either Matondo who will bring us pace and directness or we go to a back 3 and push Tav and whoever is going to be LB on. We seem to have the worst luck in bringing in players that struggle to stay fit. Roofe is fit again just now but again for how long.

8.) 09 Dec 2023 12:45:47
I don't think you can say Danilo injury prone a clash of heads is bad luck

The knee thing his first for us really

I'd be asking more questions of our medical team we seem to have a really poor record all we hear is will be out couple weeks next 5hing we know it's months as if they have no idea what they are doing.

9.) 10 Dec 2023 22:20:14
Also I'd stop reading the daily rebel always puts a negative slant on rangers stories.

IMHO lads we have no real Rangers identity in our team now or in the last few years - our winning teams in past consisted of players/ managers who knew what it was to play for the jersey or support the team - Bomber, Souness, McLeish, Cooper, Ferguson, Greig, McCoist, Goram, Gough list goes on -what do you think McGregor instils in his players when they huddle before a game? - he doesn't want to lose to anyone he is not merely there for a wage or worrying which restaurant he will be seen at that night - he is very aware that 2nd is last in Glasgow and until we can get players who want to win at all costs I am afraid it will be same as same as!
PC please get a true Captain in who hates to lose and as has been done by Souness - get a spine to the team with leaders in defence midfield and attack - when going gets tough we shrink and hide and its a lot of the same serial losers who have this trait imo - when times were tough in past sometimes all it takes is to fire into a fair but tough tackle or chase a lost ball down and never give up and get the crowd on our side and to lead by example and not just blame or finger point - they will come at us like that at Parkhead and Hampden its how we react that f**ks me off - for desire and a hate to lose comes from within and am sorry to say that when we are at business end of season the usual so called leaders show no real fire or desire or hunger from within- they just look for someone to blame.
Yes we as a club maybe cannot afford the Billy Big name costly players who have this hunger and desire but there are players out there who will have that drive and who hate to lose so let's get scouting right and return our club to truly where it should be - I hate the fact that THEY are not a great side but by the way way we have folded and lost points against Mwell R Cty Dundee in times of need makes them look top dollar and look good - you get out of a game what you put in and in these games we never showed up and put the required effort in.
THEY are one of the poorer Celtic teams I have seen in last good few years so what does that truly say about us our desire and commitment to hunting them down and putting pressure on them - we have had our chances to stay on top and have shat the bed big time - We NEED to turn up against them both times in coming months at least to show the fans that we can compete and let's not crawl under the rock when going gets tough in these games - on to Killie game 1st - a MUST win at all costs?.

1.) 29 Apr 2024 08:34:43
They are not a good team, but we are worse!

For a team who had the league title there for the taking, we blew it big time. Honestly, we have been truly awful since be beat hearts, and we don't deserve to win anything. We are a team littered with cowards, with a mentality so frail, a feather could break it.

I'm going to say it again. Until we bin Tav as captain, rid the team of cowardly lightweight like Barisic and Goldson, we are never going to establish ourselves as winners. We have too many senior players in that team whose minds have been poised with continuous failure and mediocrity, and if we continue on with them, then failure is all we're ever going to achieve.

2.) 29 Apr 2024 08:40:00
Do you think the current players like losing? Cal Mac is a ranger fan lol.

3.) 29 Apr 2024 08:52:26
??? Still flogging a dead horse, Raskin!

4.) 29 Apr 2024 08:55:13
All the names you listed were Scottish, we lost that identity a while ago. Also playing football is not the draw it was 20 -30 years ago, and there are not that many young players who have playing for Rangers or Celtic for that matter top of their list when poor English teams can offer them riches to see them to their old age.

5.) 29 Apr 2024 09:09:27
We had McGregor, David, Jack, Arfield and still won hardly anything.

6.) 29 Apr 2024 09:56:29
That's true, MPH, but we could beat the tims (home and away)! Nowadays, we can't lay a glove on them, and scraped a draw at home.

7.) 29 Apr 2024 11:00:04
Raise, we've certainly blew it. 10 points dropped from the Motherwell game. Celtic were there for the taking this season.

8.) 29 Apr 2024 12:14:30
Spot on RTR Tav, Goldson definitely need to go, Lundstram and Borna probably already gone, there may well be a few more, who? Anybodies guess.

9.) 29 apr 2024 13:07:55
spot on as per mark

if we dint win there has to be a reason this team collapsed over a 3 or 4 week period, , did pc tell some they wouldn't be here, did lundstrum, goldson et al have arrangements made fir next season?

I've not heard of one celtic player being told he's gone, or any talk about players leaving

its a daily occurance here, how many have been packing while playing fir a title?

10.) 29 Apr 2024 14:19:33
Do we know for definite that he told players they can go, or is it just guesswork or an excuse as to why we sre pants?

18 Apr 2024 10:14:02
Was there a sarcastic clap of hands made towards PC by Cantwell last night as he was subbed or am I just reading too much into things (did anyone else catch this moment)? - looked like that on TV - time will tell whether we see TC on Sunday for semi? Also I know we blame forwards for missing so much but to be quite honest we have no creativity in midfield and the long hopeful balls from Goldson found touch too often (better suited to Murrayfield) so forwards who's movement was on whole poor were totally starved last night - no movement and no creativity = same old same old!

Blue-Floyd2

1.) 18 apr 2024 10:39:34
he did clap in the managers direction before turning the other way to the fans,

2.) 18 Apr 2024 11:22:42
I thought the same he clapped staring straight at PC I've no idea why as he was poor in the game he flatters to deceive some nice touches but to much showboating he's not as good as he seems to think he is and i also agree on creativity its non existent our midfield has been rank for weeks.

3.) 18 apr 2024 12:06:17
hes a tuppence hapenny player who can run rings around himself, but never open up a defence, lots of them around, very few at top clubs, none in fact.

4.) 18 Apr 2024 12:27:27
Not as good as he thinks he is which is why nobody else wanted him - same as Goldson when he resigned.

14 Apr 2024 13:59:08
17 corners with no decent attempt from them (most outswinging rubbish ) - usual Dessers sitter missed again - Ross County fully deserved that - they wanted it more than us - hang your head in shame Gers.

Some outlets quoting that Brighton looking for 15million for Sima - thoughts folks?
Personally I can't see a deal like that happening as 15 million can be more wisely spent across the whole of team and especially in areas where change/ upgrade is obviously required.

Blue-Floyd2

1.) 12 Apr 2024 10:08:17
Possible on maybe a pay up deal?

2.) 12 Apr 2024 10:32:48
I just want a winning team on the park next season. I don't care who comes and goes.

3.) 12 Apr 2024 11:06:52
If that’s the asking price thanks for his years service and all the best. We wouldn’t and shouldn’t spend more than half that.

4.) 12 Apr 2024 11:17:21
I like Sima but with the number of players we will need in the summer window I can't see us paying anywhere near that for 1 player.

5.) 12 Apr 2024 11:17:50
We would have to sell Scott Wright to fund that move, it's a possibility as I've heard Man City are sniffing about.

6.) 12 Apr 2024 12:14:33
Totally agree there with proposed offer from club AC21?.

7.) 12 Apr 2024 12:16:48
I’d be surprised if we even paid half of that for him.

8.) 12 apr 2024 12:19:34
i agree jfm, no chance of paying that and neither should we, love him fir around 7 thò.

9.) 12 Apr 2024 12:30:20
Be less than half that to buy him, year left and not kicked a ball for Brighton, if he goes for any where near that I will eat my hat and it’s got a big blue/ red/ white pom pom on it.

10.) 12 Apr 2024 12:34:38
They will do very well getting 15m for him ooc 2025.

11.) 12 Apr 2024 13:08:50
Media talk for me. With a year + an option of a second year for a player that doesn't want to be there, they will need to accept less or have an unhappy player on their books.

12.) 12 Apr 2024 13:52:46
15m Sima no chance he must be 5-7 tops and at that price would take him ?????? Lunny great one of our best this season but 3 year deal will be pricey - 2 year makes sense ?????? Sakala yip pacey but finishing and final ball brutalbut no doubting as a pressing team player he would have possibly been of use to PC ?????? final games incoming who would have thought we would be in this position when Beale was in charge - what a celebration it’ll be if we get over the line ??????.

13.) 12 apr 2024 14:02:00
everything depends on who else fancies him, we will be blown out the waterby any epl club unfortunately.

14.) 12 Apr 2024 14:44:45
Hopefully he loves it here, and wants to stay.

15.) 12 Apr 2024 14:47:36
A team coming up to the epl might be willing to pay £15m.

16.) 12 Apr 2024 15:34:52
We can't honestly be surprised at a 15m pricetag. what did we expect? 2m? 3m? c'mon seriously.

17.) 12 Apr 2024 16:21:32
Colonel yes we probably did expect that as we are shopping in the bargain bucket.

Pun intended.

18.) 12 Apr 2024 19:39:25
Another sign of the crazy english values if true imo, we could sign 2/ 3 players better than Sima for the same value.

19.) 13 apr 2024 09:37:24
dado, lol,

07 Apr 2024 18:13:14
Those who threw objects into the Celtic dugout area today should be ashamed of themselves - as a supporter of the club for many a year I am disgusted by this behaviour and hope the culprits are caught and banished from Ibrox ASAP.

Blue-Floyd2

1.) 07 Apr 2024 18:47:19
Blue-Floyd ii agree it’s embarrassing for the club they need to be dealt with.

2.) 07 Apr 2024 19:47:16
Get them banned asap, that is not something we want to be showing to prospective players or sponsors. Absolute embarrassment for the club because of some silly wee pricks who probably only give a rubbish about causing grief! Good riddance!

3.) 07 Apr 2024 19:57:10
100% agreed.

Firstly I like a lot of what Tavs has brought to club over the years but the fact he has lost good yard of pace and will be 33 in Oct - realism kicks in here and if we were to get around 5 million for return seems more than fair imo -realistically it may be bit less- not many clubs will splash big cash for players at that age and stage of career - we shall see
I am more than happy to see wholesale changes at the back however as our defence has run its course imo?PC over to you!

Agreed Bgate - hope he stays but we may need the cash to shore up all the other holes throughout the team - and by f$ck there are many -! - we must be kidding ourselves if we think we can go to Parkhead and win with this bunch of non tryers. Dessers and Butland with poss Balogun only would get pass marks in my eyes today.

John/ all -My crystal ball doesn't tell me how many windows are needed or I would head straight to bookies to make myself a profit but you said he won't get many windows on here? ( meaning site I assume) but I seriously doubt if Rangers management/ board use this site as the primary source or barometer for making major club decisions re manager and players - but our voices are good to be heard I agree - Curiously. how many windows do you see fit to judge him on then?
We are all very aware of the number of trophies won by managers over the years and the tally is never near good enough for Rangers but if the big chap doesn't get time - which he should have in some credit by at least winning a trophy and bringing us back into a title race that seemed a distant entity a good while back with the same bunch of underachievers that previous regimes left in their wake - those who who had basically given up and were being slandered correctly day in and day out on many fans forums- yes they have slipped up last while but you can only pee with the c**k you have so we do see some positives from the signings Diomande / Cortes (apart from Silva - who we at least can just hand back) and the manager looks frustrated on sidelines and is very aware when to make substitutions and that happens at anytime during the game (unfortunately many of his subs are not really up to standard and not truly game changers) - I for one will judge him when/ if we get to a stage where the bulk of the team/ squad has been brought in by current regime and we rid ourselves of underachievers/ injury fakers/ those over the hill and general average journeymen on big wages.
Will we get to that stage? I don't know but I certainly hope we do
IMO - Beale fleeced the board with his barrow boy patter and we handed over our riches and allowed him to sell the cow for beans and also allowed him to to spend willy nilly! So for all the books he has written on tactics etc he was truly found out to be just another mouthpiece QPR/ Rangers/ Sunderland will vouch for that too- Clement has won couple leagues and cup in Belgium and imo seems more tactically astute and honestly believe he now sees the magnitude of the task in front of him (which is vast) but it is still the same majority of losers we have wearing the jerseys - I hope he gets time and we don't grab an early ticket for the managerial merry - go round IMHO or it will be another GROUNDHOG day! If PC doesn't get several windows as some folk on here suggest - then the only suggestion is get Harry Potter or someone from magic circle who can clear this mess up with a wave of a wand- let's get real!

So if you don't like what's happening over several windows do you want PC sacked and then its the managerial merry-go-round again? guys - look at the deadwood and underachievers we have in place - I for one don't think it will happen overnight.

Its going to take a good few transfer windows before we will see a true PC team - hopefully there will not be too many more Celtic capitulations along that treacherous path and we will hopefully see true progress and most of all guts and determination with good football thrown in as well - I live in hope?.

Stewarty good post -my one area of concern is Matondo - he is too flash in the pan and imo he will not take us to next level so he would be one I would offload too - he has pace to burn but his final ball is suspect and his decision making is pretty poor on the whole - impact sub at best but feel wages could be better spent.

Mark only way things will improve is when many of these imposters are gone and Big Phil brings in some new blood in a variety of positions throughout the team - ?PS Big Butlands booking was a total joke.
