Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

Ok so it is what it is. a few points here n response to a couple of posts and a hell of a lot of posts only a few months ago on here.

Firstly I think were going to lose some of our better players ie wallace, moshni, temps, daly etc but for the sake of the club I think its a good thing, we could play the kids and still win this division and save some pennies while doing so.

Secondly can we stop all the "play the kids he should have done that a long time ago " crap.
And then just like last season on here. oh why are we not getting in experienced and better players? and it would lead to my favourite post for nearly the past few seasons" ally must go" again total crap.

Its terrible were going to go through this again, but we've just got to get on with it and hope next season we have some decent players left to get us up the table.

OP in answer to the first sentence of your third paragraph - NO. What part of we are skint and possibly not going to survive until the end of the season do you not understand?
Why do you and the other Super Ally fans not understand that after the first financial disaster we had to develop our own youth or at least pick up the best youth from the division we played in.
We have the number 1 facility in Scotland that costs probably millions a year to run and next to nothing is produced from it.
Murray left us in so much debt we had to win the league not for the prestige but to get into the Champions League to keep us afloat.
To do this WS was allowed to buy rather than promote or nurture or own youth. Ally learned that from Walter but the difference is we no longer have any overdraft facility and have wasted what was left of the IPO money after outrageous costs.
If we go into Admin again we will be in Division 3 again but with a manager who will only have youth players to work with as we will have a transfer embargo.
All I can say is please wake up bears

Ed you will probably get loads of bears posting on this but I have just read our players have rejected a 15% cut in their salaries. This must mean Lee Wallace and or David Templeton will be sold IMO.
Getting to the end of the season looking far from certain and this will be confirmed in the interim accounts.
Our manager cannot afford any more bad decisions like Steven Smith instead of Andrew Robertson who Everton will buy in January or in the summer for £1M plus.
Also if we were a more united support there may have been a case for a class action against Green/Stockbridge on the outrageous IPO costs?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Players will be sold without a doubt, and not even at a great deal of cash transfer fee wise, just to get them off the wage bill)

I don't blame the players. Time of action and change is now!. Premiership is a pipe dream at this rate we will be in championship for years to come. Next McCoist will be asked to get rid of Mcdowell or durrant. Wheres your money Sandy & James Easdale? Life long fans prove it!.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know temps and he said he's going nowhere he won't be forced out

Agree0 Disagree0

Re 1, do not disagree on current board members coming up with some cash, but surely at current share price if Mr Mcoll and his cohorts are such rangers men the they could buy in on the cheap, oh I forgot they thought they should walk on the board by simply constantly saying ''we are rangers men''

Is reality kicking in yet fellow bears? Everyone clear yet that McCoist is a filthy traitor? Taking months to "sign off" his pay cut (was his biro broken or what?) and even then still taking almost a half mill ffs but asking the players to take a 15% cut til 2015! Cheeky chappie aye right. How anyone can stick that wee w**k ah really don't know. He'll abandon ship like the rat he is soon enough when he's having to manage a dispirited average team and cannae walk all over opposition like giants taking on an ants nest like the p*sh we have to watch every week. No-one left involved with the club that's got the guts to kick the man down the marble staircase and out on the street like he deserves. Green, Whyte, McCoist, all with their d*ks up our ar&es pumpin away like crazy and still we pant away cheering on the latest drubbing of plumbers at ibrox. And who's going to dig deep and bu into the next share issue? Seriously you know you will to "save the club". Whose club? Aaaaggghhhh.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - the thing that gets me is he didn't even ask the players himself, jig had to do it )

Can we blame the players?

Would you take a wage cut when you see your bosses rolling in it?

Listen the players are absolutely correct and without doubt should stick to their guns. When the senior management don't show any leadership or take an appropriate cut then why should they, this shows without any shadow of a doubt things are very serious cash flow wise and with a few SPIVS baling out shares wise it could come to a head very shortly.

Mr Stockbridge should hang his head in shame for his running of the club since Chico went into hiding,

How much more can they take before we hit rock bottom.

Who is going to invest In the club when the structure is a mess

SPIVS out

Ed do you know the guys who set up the web site Save Rangers? Can you or anyone of these guys please tell me why none of the Bears who pledged £14M+ were not asked if they would chip into the Blue Knights offer?
That ship has sailed but if any other belated rescue is started all bears must pool together. The billionaire "Rangers Supporter" Jim McColl should be asked what he will chip into "Save Rangers Now for Feck Sake" fund. John Greig as TMWNN has posted would be a good figure head with a high profile solicitor and chartered accountant who are shareholders and season ticket holders. Once a decent sum is raised go to the board and say the fans will pay for running cost until the end of the season but for that the fans need a tranche (is that a word?) of shares or whatever in return.
Because Admin 2 is a complete and utter disaster for Scotland's Biggest Club and I am not sure we would survive it ED

Some of us older bears who saw Ritchie Shearer Caldow Greig McKinnon Baxter, Henderson McMillan Miller Brand and Wilson might not survive it.

MUST BE AVOIDED BEARS AT ALL COSTS.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mccoll cannot bid for more than 30% without launching an aggressive buy out which would only allow Green and Co even more cash out the club.
We are heading for another administration. The current owners have got thier money out and don't care.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ bloodsucker - agreed I know that but I wasn't talking about McColl/the fans buying 29% of shares (although I wish they had) I was talking about reddies to get us through until the end of the season. Because this current board will possibly not be able to do that. Well done city slickers.
People are flippantly talking about another administration as if it is nothing.
Be assured admin 2 is the last thing we need if our club is to survive

Agree0 Disagree0

N7 the current board have never cared they are money men with no feelins for anything other than money

Players reject a request to take 15% pay cut. What a total shambles.
Time now to starve those who are milking the club dry and start afresh.
It might mean that a large slice of humble pie needs to be taken, but so be it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - A large slice of humble pie should have been eaten a long time ago mate)

Players ko wage deduction ally has milked2years of outrageous salary and his 1p shares. like payin rhe guy who robbed yer house. admin looking a stick on at seasons end. king will wait till then and invest when all has gone pear shaped. more doom and gloom on its way this summer

on ssn, rangers players refuse 15% pay cut, thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Administration inevitable for a long time, this just confirms it)

Ouch ED. If that's you're take on it then I really am worried. However I can't really see any convincing counter arguement and the share price performace suggests you've got it spot on.

Am I correct in thinking that new rules mean that any team involved in an insolvence event is automatically sent to division 2? That really would be a disaster.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - No its not an automatic relegation, otherwise Hearts and Dunfermline would be there as they started the season in administration, it is an automatic points deduction and player registration embargo and probably a fine, although I dont understand what good a fine does when a club is in financial ruins)

Ed in your post to n1 that's what they done to us addmin ahh fine them 50k

Players asked to take 15% wage cut maybe the board should take a cut first.

{Ed039's Note - The damage was done by the board long before now)

i wish everyone would stop saying get rid of the likes of black, shiels, smith etc and play the youngsters, that's all very well if we had good young players but we dont, I've seen them playing for the first team and the reserves on numerous occassions and in my opinion most of them are no bloody good, one or two exceptions, mcleod is ok but nothing special, crawford and aird have decent potential but that's it, also why can't we ever produce any good young strikers, when was the last time we did? mcswegan, spencer and fleck? very ordinary. junior ogen looks good but will probably come to nothing. hopefully some good news though, american publishing family headed by donald newhouse could be ready to buy a large amount of shares. heres hoping

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Op going by the news coming out of ibrox we will not have much option other than to use the youngsters

With reference to several recent posts relating to the pros and cons of our future trading, I feel we are now in a fight for survival. Irrospective of the cuts made, a certain amount of additional funds will be required to see us to the end of the season.
It would appear that there are no interested investors so how will the club be able to fund itself.
My biggest fear is that the assets are used as collateral to obtain the necessary cash. If this happens, who will supply the funds and at what cost.
I've enjoyed 50+ years supporting our club, but I'll be surprised if there is a future for our team unless there is a complete overhaul of the complete stucture.

What fringe players would everybody like to see leave? Personally I think we should be showing the door to foster and stevie Smith, also simonsen was a pointless acquisition. One can hope

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It was utter madness to sign any of the 3 you mention. 3 players well past their best with no sell on value and limiting the chances for youth players. That's the kind of signing policy that once again sees us in financial meltdown. A decent manager would have gone down the youth route and would have had a signing policy where young players were signed developed and then sold on. However our over paid manager isn't capable of this hence buying over payed journeyman players to win the bottom tiers of scottish football

Agree0 Disagree0

Op the three you mentioned should never have been brought in in the first place but I think mather is more to blame than mcoist cause he gave the ok I believe mcoist tried to buy success but mather had the purse strings

Agree0 Disagree0

A few SPL teams were looking to sign Simonson when he went to Ibrox. Rangers offered him a lot more money to sit on the bench/play for reserves/play in division, than they offered with guarenteed first team football in the top division.

Complete waste of money.

Tom English said we have 56 players on the books, while Celtic with their new signing have 50
We need to walk before we run guys. He highlighted the reserve goalie Steve Simonson (?)he must be on decent money and not played a minute, and we have Scott Gallagher more money wasted ally
We will get there but wee steps required lads

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Injury prone Stevie Smith, Steve Simsonsen, Emilson Cribari, Kyle Hutton, Sebastain Faure ..... all players who have youngsters who can fill their positions and are luxuries that can not be afforded and should not be at Ibrox)

Ian black is a 7k a week luxury we could've sacked, why didn't we?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - True enough, there are young midfielders who are champing at the bit for a game and could do the same job, perhaps even better)
