i watched the highlights of the wales match via bbc online as i work abroad, and was shocked to hear after the 2nd wales goal " that will shut the scots up" from the commentator, i think every scot that reads these pages should complain as i did through the bbc complaints page as this is not on and breeches broadcasting rules. imagine if it was bbc scotland doing this if we had won over wales or the almighty england.

Believable12 Unbelievable5

Just seen it the now, thats terrible. im gonna complain dont worry, great post matey. lets bombard them with complaints.

Agree7 Disagree4

I am British pal, why should I complain?

Agree2 Disagree25

I watched it too online but didnt hear but this time i listened for it and he says it after the 3rd replay of bale's goal/ who is that commentator? lets make this a scotland as a whole complaint and get it on the news so jackie bird can smile when she reads it off the autocue. seriously i will complain.

Agree5 Disagree3

Christ almighty!! What is this? You're starting to sound like one of the threads from Rangers Media. Get a grip.

Agree6 Disagree6

Oh c'mon boys. Stupid idiotic comments like that will not change the result. We were well and truly gubbed by a better team. Rise above it and spend more energy on supporting the team in person and not worrying about some person making a dispariging remark. Nothing new about this in relation to the media so why let it get under your skin?

Agree1 Disagree2

And it did shut us up .... so whats your point

Whats everones thought on next Scotland manager? What about Wee Gordon and Big Eck as a bit of a double act. On a great wee player and one a great Defender. Good pals too, could work? Scotland were playing their best stuff when Watty had Burns just under him, might be the way to go again.

Joeshmo1888

Believable12 Unbelievable5

I don't think we should rule out a foreign coach again. Berti Vogts might have been a failure but that's not to say he failed because he wasn't Scottish. After all Levein probably has a better squad at his disposal and has gained only 2 points from 4 games while Berti at least had us in the mix for qualification.

If Walter was up for it though I'd go for his experience. What we need is winner.

BARNEY BEAR

Agree4 Disagree9

After 3 years of Levein I would take anybody to be honest. We're already bottom of the group, so I'd like to see someone who will have a go and put some fire in the players bellies. Greame Souness perhaps?

Agree4 Disagree3

Big Eck possible, 70% success rate in 2007, don't think SFA can afford him (let alone Strachan 0% record).

Walter defo no, current incumbents will view this as a no;no, while they seek to milk the cash cow that is Rangers.

I would go for Steve Kean; worth a punt, however still don't think the SFA would stumb up the cash to get him.

Levein's record now worse than Vogts, Berti and Burley, George.

I suspect that the SFA will keep quiet on this and try and ride out the storm untill March!!!!!!!!

Carling1873

Agree2 Disagree7

Good Post Joeshmo!

Yeah a McLeish/Strachan combo would be interesting.

Possibly McLeish in charge with Strachan under purely for the purposes of structure and would help Strach maintain his media work.

Think they would compliment each other as Strachan quite attack minded and McLeish somewaht the opposite.

Bluegenius

Agree3 Disagree1

Strachan will most likely be offered it, I saw an envelope going round between hacks and SFA officials. Wait and see. Definately not both of them, would not work.

Agree2 Disagree0

Steve Kean over Gordon Strachan?? Poster 3 take the blue tints off, Strachan was Celtic's most successful manager since Stein, last 16 of Champions League 2 years running, more than worth a punt and the tartan army would agree

Agree1 Disagree0

It does not matter who the manager is to be honest, our players are not good enough to compete at international level. They flatter to deceive at times, and aren't helped by the Scottish media's over inflated opinion of them. A whole new re-think is in order from the Heirarchy at the SFA, but after the farce with Rangers I doubt very much if things will move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Malky by far the best man for the job. But you wont get him.

Lets be honest Levine is useless but the SFA is worse they are the custodians of Scottish football and have never invested in grass route football and we the money paying fans are pi...... Off with all there excuses we in Scotland have Sphell SFA SFL what a joke it's just a gravy train and us fans that go to league matches week on week are being taken for mugs by this lot
Sack the manager well why not but let's get Scottish admin in order they are an absolute joke

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Who employed this guy levine only managed second or even third rate teams, who decided that we should have 3 yes 3 football bodies lets hope the crowds for the next Scotland matches are below 5000 so this gravy train STOPS we the fans should demand investment at grass route level I wonder how many admin guys had a wee free trip all expenses paid to Wales and Belgium. I bet they are pi....off that they are NOT going to Rio
Reagan you should resign

Agree5 Disagree2

Walter Smith, McCoist and McLeish turned there backs on the Scotland squad and walked away.
So start pointing the finger of blame there at those three. Never to be welcomed back under any circumstances just the same as the international reprobate Barry ferguson, whom was a reflection on them.

Agree8 Disagree9

@2 it was their choice to turn their backs. Same as McGeady did. RTID

Agree3 Disagree3

So you would rather see the National team clueless than welcome back a manager who proved himself at International level? (France ring any bells?) Big Eck (who I do like) took over Smith's winning set-up. The call from RFC was just too strong for WS and Ally (it was also a plea for help and they answered that call). WS would be my choice with maybe GS beside him. (Tic supporter)

Agree0 Disagree2

They were offered opportunity to return to Rangers, probably never thought it would happen. If someone offered you a job, would you turn it down through loyalty.....blah blah blah.

by by levein...shoulda been gone after the euros ...i called this situation before the campaign began......you just cant manage cowdenbeath...raith rovers ..leicster and dundee utd and then be an international manager.....just disnae work that waythats like a plumber trying to wire a plug......leveins a plumber....get wee gordon in....deecee

Believable11 Unbelievable2

Yep its as bad as a question of sport captain trying to manage rangers he needs to go apart from ally he must be the worse manager in scotland

Agree13 Disagree5

No he's worse than Ally

16 Oct 2012 21:37:24
Scotland v Belgium
Belgium Population 11m so can we call that an excuse for us Scots definitely not..... Lets be honest when did the SFA ever build a football pitch with floodlights build an indoor arena never, with all the cash they have sucked in no they have not that's the problem no investment in our National game only cash for admin fat cats
It will get worse as RAngers who have supplied more players for Scotland than any other team will now be a generation behind or at least 4 years so future NOT good

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Most of those rangers players you speak of began their careers at other clubs. That wont change. The idea that rangers were finding and nurturing a constant stream of young players into internationals is false. A lot of the time they were just buying players.

Could someone clear up a little question for me?

I was under the impression that the reason the unprecedented decision to allow the transfer of Rangers' membership 'share' to The Rangers was to get them around the '3 years audited accounts' rule, and allowing them to say that although they as an entity didn't have 3 years worth of accounts, the 'share' did.

With that in mind, did the audited accounts for season 11-12 ever actually show up? Because, I'm guessing without them, there would be no membership 'share' to actually transfer?

Believable10 Unbelievable6

There were no audited accounts from last year

Agree10 Disagree1

There were no audited accounts for two trading year periods. The final year of SDM and also Craig Whytes trading year.
Check with companies house.

Agree16 Disagree0

There was only one year when accounts weren't submitted.

However, as the SFA disciplined Rangers for this, it was held that the 3 year accounting period was complied with.

Rangers fans think the SFA are out to get them, but the SFA couldn't have given more help here.

No 3 years accounts = no SFL membership.

Hi guys, first time poster.. I think we need to be really careful, this banter is choc full of timmys in disguise, portraying themselves as loyal bluenoses, telling us buying shares is bad, stupid, evil etc, etc, and putting of those real gers men that are considering whether to purchase or not.
Just as they pretended to be loyal suppoerters of motherwell, and partick, and hearts, and hibs, emailing their chairmen and telling them to vote against us, or they would boycott the games.
Now those chairmen are struggling to come to terms with their decisions, and wishing they could vote again...
So in a nutshell BE YOUR OWN MAN! talk to people you KNOW are rangers men, and make your own choicees, and don't be swayed by the rebel rousers and charletans here.
Remember... Bluebells are Blue, and will ALWAYS be blue

Believable38 Unbelievable35

Charletans here? I will name you 3. Sir Murray, Craig Whyte and your new best buddy Charles "Ecky Thump, Flat Cap, Whippet and Ferret man, ale suppin" Green. Wisen up. If we had not been ostriches with our heads in the sand NONE of this would have happened. Now some Yorkshire carpet bagger has managed to get hold of the club for NOTHING!!!

Agree26 Disagree12

What a complete load of paranoid rubbish. Are you forgetting all the warnings from Rangers fans regarding Craig Whyte? Many fans, myself included, were shot down as "timmy" making mischief. How did that work out? All anybody with a brain is asking is for some meat on the bones of what Mr Green says.If you want to blindly follow and pay for shares that is your choice,i would never question your reasons, but i will ask questions before i shell out more cash. AB.

Agree19 Disagree9

Don't listen to those bad Timmy's.

Agree14 Disagree2

Was it not a Timmy that employed a photographer that caught the sheriff officers going into Ibrox that ultimately broke the story of the rangers saga into the MSM for the first time?!?

Agree16 Disagree2

I thought McCoist was the resident rebel rouser?

Agree13 Disagree4

@OP you are so right they are poor we lost souls though and dont know their way home to their own page, we should take sympathy on them and after each post by them simply put -poor obsessed ,the site you are looking for is getovermyaddictiontothegers.com.

Agree8 Disagree11

16 Oct 2012 15:02:04
Hello, er "first time poster" although there was another "Bluebells" who was a regular poster.
Anyway to reply to your paranoia.
Most "Timmy's" on here make it plain, like myself, what team we support.
I have never emailed SFA, Motherwell etc..
A lot of us "Timmy's" were regular readers of the Rangers Tax Case blog, which informed us months in advance what was going to happen.
Myself and others, came on here to give you this information so you could make informed decisions about investing in the club. We were all accused of being part of a big "timmy conspiracy"
Now Green wants more money from you all, I hope you get as much information as possible before deciding whether to part with hard earned cash, especially in these recession hit times.
I understand wanting to help your club, I put money into Celtic. But ask yourself will your money help RFc or will it merely put money into other people's pockets. Timalloy

Agree18 Disagree11

@ OP - Wow mate i just had to reply! Firstly am a Celtic fan and make no attempt to hide it. Secondly am not obsessed with yours, or any other club, I only check out these types of sites to get a general feel for supporters of different clubs opinions on league reconstruction, national side, signings etc.

Regarding your comment about "they (am assuming you mean timmys in disguise) pretending to be loyal supporters of..." i am astonished at your lack of understanding of the disregard and contempt from supporters across Scotland, and now thanks to CG's comment regarding Aston Villa, the rest of the UK.

The way the SFA have handled the Gers situation is a disgrace; of that there is no doubt. However the way you, and some Gers fans, continue to berate any questioning of the culture emanating from Ibrox while refusing to accept the possibility that you are wrong will ultimately be your clubs downfall. Some of my best mates are lifelong Gers and while we don't agree on everything what we do agree on is that until so called supporters like you accept the gravity of the situation, apply some humility and demonstrate a willingness to build bridges with the rest of Scottish football the extinction of your club will always be on the cards. The position of power which Gers had became to rely on has shifted significantly and could consume everything connected to rangers except the memories of supporters across the world to be passed on to a new generations that will not witness or experience supporting the club you clearly claim to love.
I for one would hate to see the Old Firm games become a distant memory and feel strongly that both clubs need each other. So please drop this charade and start directing your frustration on a man who has shouted a lot to get Gers fans into Ibrox without actually defining any strategic intent or medium term plan!

Agree18 Disagree10

Shurely timmies would be saying buy shares, cos if someone runs off with this money, gers even deader,

if in div 3 (4th tier) and all the season ticket gone for a burton, and share float money then gone and back in admin... would this not be what non-gers fans want ???

is there any hope....

Agree8 Disagree7

Now those chairmen are struggling to come to terms with their decisions ...

are they, they loose a 50,000 game with gers in spl, yet audience is still same as last year... so loss of gers not that big.

Note: look how many clubs been top of spl for once.... and not celtic and rangers

being top sells tickets, better than being bottom.

Agree11 Disagree4

I think the op is making a reference to you number 3. You should leave this site alone. I will be buyng a number of shares as I really couldn't care less of what you think. Or the other cfc supporters intent on damaging us further. The fact that you all come on faining concern as a smoke screen really angers me.

Agree6 Disagree14

Agree with you OP. Whether CG is right or is at it, we will decide. The amount of posts on here about how bad a deal the share issue is is amazing and the prospectus isn't even out.
Totally agree with you that a lot of tims are posting as bluenoses. Don't think it is all about fun, more like they don't want RFC progressing.
@1 does that mean that the FTT wouldn't have happened as well? and we wouldn't have been billed for x millions possibly being owed to the HMRC? Seeing that you have wisened up and have got your head out from the sand, how would RFC have been able to operate having run at a deficit and the real possibility of the huge tax bill? Minus out CW's debt and replace it with Lloyds £18m and the balance is what RFC would have been facing, with the HMRC wanting their dosh and Lloyds pulling the strings. Maybe even Ticketus would have been used, again, and in the queue.

Agree7 Disagree8

OP I'll tell you here and now I'm a Celtic supporter. I find it remarkable that there are still some of you who find anything negative written about Rangers to be simply timmy propaganda. Have the last 8 months not taught you anything? I have no idea if Charles Green is trustworthy or not, what I do know is that he has pandered to the Rangers support from day one (an orange strip, the anti SPL stance). I also know that he has made an ass of himself on several occasions too (the Aston Villa quote). I also know, and this is where I would be sceptical, that he has already made some nonsense promises (5 players from the Euro. Championships).

By all means be your own man but that surely means taking onboard facts regardless of who said it. A bias blue opinion can be every bit as wrong as a bias green one.

And do you really think all those clubs were infiltrated by Celtic fans? Who told you that, could it be another guy in blue?

Gaz

Agree10 Disagree7

Timmies here, Timmies there, there are Timmies everywhere.
You bed a reality check pal. Fans of other teams are not all secret Tims. Many of us come here to noise up the bams but also to pass fair comment.
Rangers as they were are gone, they are no more but it's funny to watch the delusional denial of that fact. Your man CG and his supporters on here are comedy gold. Anyway must go - I have a Ramsden's Cup Final to look forward to.

Agree12 Disagree3

Ostriches don't bury their heads in the sand it's a myth

Agree3 Disagree2

OP cracking post, what a result. RTID

Agree8 Disagree7

This is what amazes me about some Celtic fans, and some Rangers fans for that matter. How dumb are you? You spout this 'oh you were warned' and 'heads in the sand'. It's absolute drivel, what would the fans do? Hold an uprising siege through the doors of Ibrox and leave with Whyte's head on a pole. I could easily make up a load of stuff about Celtic and if one bit comes true start blaming the Celtic fans and saying I did warn you.

Agree5 Disagree8

Bomber Brown and Donald Findlay have been telling us Green is totally dodgy.

Believing everything that you're told by whoever is in charge at Ibrox doesn't make you a better Rangers fan. It just means you're gullible.

I've been watching Rangers for decades and I'm more worried about Green spreading lies than any Celtic fan on the wind-up on here.

Agree10 Disagree1

@ 17) This starts with Murray, a wake up call back then may have helped bring a closer appreciation of the reality of the situation ie "We're skint and for the next few years there wont be many if any big signings." This would never have been tolerated by the bulk of the Ibrox fans, essentially handing Celtic a few titles, not an easy thing to sell. Murray knew the situation wasn't looking good yet they still carried on.

As for Whyte even on February 13th when administration was being mooted there was a paltry number of Gers outside the ground. That apathy, to that degree, would never have happened at Parkhead.

How do you influence things? Season tickets, bums on seats (or lack thereof), pressure by not buying sponsors products. This club are past masters at boycotts so don't tell me it cant be done. But nope, Whyte said the beeb was anti-Rangers and that was that.

So don't be so churlish 17, there are plenty of ways to protest short of shish-kebabing a CEO's head.

Gaz

Timmy here
on some of our sites Craig Whyte ready to break cover and throw CGs plans into dissary.
Do as you will with this but we are not all obsessed, my blue bro in law thanked me for info on Whyte ealy doors only to be called timmy by his lifelong friends till Whyte was exposed.
Do youis really think he has gone away .
Ps Ed thanks for this site and your honest view on things. some of your replys are a breath of fresh air honest and fair as you see it.

I heard a rumour that green is going to try and cash in on the overwhelming interest in rangers from Celtic fans by launching a aftershave for them called OBSESSION

Believable21 Unbelievable16

Cool I heard Celtic were bringing out a rival one to honour rangers and its called...oblivion

Agree20 Disagree8

Think he might struggle with copywrite with that one, although he'd probably tell everyone he'd had a meeting with his good friend Mr Klein who said it was OK.

Agree17 Disagree2

I think it should be called extract of urine chill out we will see you in 3years.......maybe

Hoops fan here.Nice one poster.I'D buy it no probs.Make an ideal crimpo pressie too.
Make sure it's in green packaging tho'.It would remind of the debacle that was rangers.Hold on tho' have'nt Calvin Kline not used this name already.Still that won't stop Charlie.

Damn imagine that a aftershave called obsession already exists lol. Looks like green will have to come up with another way to make money here's a sure fire way for him to make money of rangers fans bring out a new pest repellant with the slogan makes disappear

If CG has £20 mil and loves the
Rangers fans then why didn't he
Use some of that to pay back the
Supporters who already had shares and
Became creditors? {Ed039's Note - Why would he? I wasnt and wont be a shareholder because I cant afford it, and I feel for those who were shareholders, like my old man, but at the end of the day, even he has acknowledged to me, he knew the shares werent worth anything, I wrote yesterday about people investing due to an emotional attachment, that is what it is for alot of people)

Believable11 Unbelievable4

Green doesn't have £20m so it's unhelpful to speculate what he would or wouldn't do with it.

Agree15 Disagree5

Green doesn`t have 20 million ??, is that a fact ??, how do you know this ??, or are you speculating ??

Agree5 Disagree9

I had shares in the old company just for sentimental reasons, I wouldn't look for Green to pay me their value because I bought the shares with no intention of them ever being an investment.

Agree0 Disagree3

If green had 20 million then why didnt he buy the club himself for 5.5 million instead of using investors money

Agree6 Disagree1

ED think your missing the point, these people paid their hard earned money so that they could feel as if they owned a part of Rangers .Even though your dad knew he would not make any money he did not care,he felt a part of RANGERS,as if he was in the inner sanctum.Greene took that away from him.
Tam {Ed039's Note - Green didnt take that away from him Tam, Green came into a sinking (ok sunken) ship, and has to do what is right for the way forward. I dont blame Green for the previous shareholders losing that attachment, I blame SDM and Craig Shite)

Agree1 Disagree1

Ok murray mints owned 87% king man owned some along with others so how many shares was actually owned by the fans and if green is spouting its the same club ( chuckle chuckle ) then why not give them back it cant be more than a few percent

@5 Agree to disagree ed, Mr Greene put Rangers into liquidation,he now say's HE has the money to cover the share issue, why did he not use that to keep Rangers afloat ?

I come on this website to see
support and good banter for the
team i love ,all i see is everyone
talking about green and the shares
lets make it very simple if you
dont trust green dont by shares ,
if you do and want shares buy
them ,if you dont like how the
man that put the money into
getting our great club is doing
things get together and try and
do a buyout or get behind green
and support what he is building.
I respect that like me every is
worried about our new owner
because what happend in the
past but we have to give the guy
a brake sure he has talken out of
place but to be fare he has done
alot right to,the on;y man
to step up and put his money
where is mouth is.

to the person who disagreed with the post it should
be simple if you trust green and want shares buy them if not then dont idont no why you have disagreed should be simple anuff

Agree5 Disagree5

There were other offers......

But D&P chosen by whyte only chose to sell to green at a bargain-basement knockdown price, and now 3 months later green offers to sell 50% for £20 million ??

do you not see any issue here... this values club at £50 million, but how was it then sold for just £5 with £100 million in debts... when it could have delivered 50p in the pound and a successful CVA and remain in the SPL with all players .....?

as you say green in position... but did whyte pick him too ?
