Craig 1978, that's my thing I have watched ally mccoist for many years great player but in my view he was never a manager he has took a lot of money out of the the club and has put a lot of players in that squad very rich guys, and look where we are now struggling to finish 2

Believable2 Unbelievable1

22 Mar 2015 07:28:48
And when these players signed you were very unhappy yeah? And you never went back to ibrox because super signed them?

Agree0 Disagree1

22 Mar 2015 12:36:04
Laylex

What exactly is your point? the posters points are valid. The team is rotten, Ally was a shocking manager and very very average players have got rich for not producing. Wether the fans kept going is irrelevant the point is he and his players took a lot of money out of the club and gave nothing in return

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 21:50:39
Good luck to the boys tomorrow! I'm not expecting a win just a good account of themselves. I would take a draw but please give the performance we have all been waiting for

Believable1 Unbelievable1

22 Mar 2015 01:31:16
Surely after 3 years there's a performance due to the law of averages lol. 3.2 hibs

Hahaha surely a bit of good luck! Well overdue!

I have always tried to make a case for Ashley's money, albeit in the form of favourable loans, to him I may add, but this farce with the loaned Newcastle players, beggars belief. If Ashley, or his cohorts, signed these players knowing their fitness factor they are, most definitely, influencing Ranger's finances and, as such, placing more financial pressure on an already precarious position. A bit like insider trading, given their intimate knowledge of the club's finances.
Another major concern must be the total crap being uttered by Wallace. You would actually think he was not part and parcel of the team's performances.
Finally, just a parting shot at the leech that was our manager. He no longer deserves any plaudits for his time as a player. Always remember he was well paid for his services as a player and, as for his re-imbursement for the last 3+ years, the defence rests.

Billy
Agree with Ashley comments, but McCoist comments are below the belt.
Ps who are you? What have you ever achieved?
Super ally has a bag full of medals and two golden boots achieved at the club he loves
I rest my case

Agree2 Disagree6

21 Mar 2015 21:30:14
if he loves the club so much why does he continue to take a fortune every week on top of the ridiculous amount he was taking while in charge. I thought along with a few other bears I was talking to that as soon as King and co were in control Ally would do the honourable thing and resign and not take any more money from our club

Agree2 Disagree1

21 Mar 2015 21:49:22
I think you just were hopeful considering he's worth billions. Ashley doesn't invest, he accumulates

Agree1 Disagree2

21 Mar 2015 23:14:57
Gers09 are you for real? he loves the almighty pound more than his beloved club! How dare you ask billy are anybody else on this site what they have ever done! All we have ever done is follow the club through thick and thin and buy match tickets and merchandise out of are hard earned cash! Mccoist has been well paid through out the years for his services and is still getting well paid!

Agree7 Disagree1

22 Mar 2015 00:00:43
Excellent post Hooly our club is in the worst state in its history in a football sense and yet these worshipers at the feet of McCoist persist with their drivel. If he loved the club so much he wouldn't be taking his £14,000 from the broken financial wreck that he and they claim to love. No one man is bigger than the club and that is most certainly the case with this wee chap from East Kilbride who has earned millions of pounds from the club. Well deserved for his goal scoring but total robbery for the football management farce that has left us in such a hopeless position.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 03:19:57
If we were winning games would ally's wage be a problem? The guy has a contract and he's entitled to see that out, if your manager came and says right you have earned x amount but we do love you at the company again but please leave, doesn't happen in any job why should football be different?

Agree0 Disagree4

22 Mar 2015 08:47:16
yes macoist has a contract that can only broken by talks between him and the club but the only word to describe him is mercenary if there was any ounce of decency in him he should walk away (never mind his tactics) for the amount of duds he signed and was party to there over inflated wages but as I said he is totally mercenary

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 09:58:47
A read your point but don't agree with it

22 Mar 2015 12:24:01
Cheers hooly78, thanks for your comment but to be totally honest, the post by gers 09 is so childish it does not warrant a response.
My concern is that our financial restraints are such that every single penny is precious and any drain could be fatal.
Today, I read that Green wants to be Ashley's rep on the board. This mob are so brazen and they treating our club like they are playing a drunken game of monopoly.
Also regarding Wallace etc., I would let them go tomorrow if they ripped up their contracts, but just how many would?
I will make one reference to the initial reply and that is the one thing I have retained, in my life, is self-respect.
Has the leech?

Ayr loyal, I'm going to easter road tomorrow for our game against hibs and hope these rangers players can put on a performance and beat hibs for once this season, they owe us supporters a big performance, you never know although truth be told I think they'll beat us, the team I hope mccall plays tomorrow would be a 3-5-2 bell, mcgregor, zaliukas, wallace mcculloch, walsh, law, shiels templeton, vuckic, clark, what do we think fellow bears and what would your starting 11 be?

Are people selecting Mculloch because they think he deserves a place or because of the story he is guaranteed his place? Hopefully the latter as I cannot think of a less deserving automatic starter in 50 years of watching the Gers.
Good to see the emergence of a couple of youngsters finally- better late than never.

Players on loan from Newcastle
/
Clearly these players were brought in without a medical.
More than that Ashley's placemen will have known that they were injured.
Surely legal action can be taken against them for acting explicitly against Rangers interest.
Also their action was clearly in Newcastle's interests.
It shows the contempt with which they viewed us and the extent to which they believed they could do anything and get away with it.
We should be able to hold them to account for this one

Believable8 Unbelievable4

21 Mar 2015 16:09:41
Ed - is it not in the rules that players out on loan can be recalled if deemed necessary? I seem to remember some in the past where this happened, and if it can be done we should be getting Gasparotto back pronto as we have a genuine defence problem.

{Ed001's Note - depends on the loan deal.}

I'm only a young sprout! I liked to believe I was as skillful as Laudrup. Also we had a summer of chasing Jesper Blomqvist when still at IFK, so there was a month of imitating his dribbles! Unfortunately I was probably more like Jerome Rothen with two right feet

21 Mar 2015 12:01:33
I see in today's press that Wallace has said if they don't go up this season then the players will walk?? the reason why we are in Roald Dahl street this season is because they are ALREADY walking! not running.
I would respectfully suggest if what he said is true I sincerely hope we don't go up, that way we will have to play the young blood, and rid ourselves of ALL the under-acheiving wasters who have dragged this club into the ranks of"an easy game" for the opposition.

Believable10 Unbelievable1

21 Mar 2015 13:33:04
What Wallace and his fellow chancers forget is that not many teams in the Championship, never mind anywhere else, would even look at them after the way they've sold their jerseys at times this season.astonishing attitude. not good enough for Rangers not other way round!9

21 Mar 2015 13:48:52
Well said wee bill.Apparently playing against part-timers is too difficult for Wallace.I'd hate to see him against Premiership opposition every week.

21 Mar 2015 17:09:00
I hope that's a promise to walk. These players should be ashamed of themselves. And they have no idea when to button it. Joking aside it's not what we want to hear right now it's as if they are making excuses before the event. Shameful!

21 Mar 2015 19:59:10
glad to hear wallace does not want to play in this league next season well that's one monkey off our backs just need the rest to follow suit

21 Mar 2015 21:03:17
Lee Wallace is a good player, there was outcry a from fans when he wasn't getting in the scotland squad not long ago, players confidence change life fans opionins, very quickly

Agree3 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 04:17:54
I'm sure there will be a massive rush of clubs to sign Wallace if play offs are not reached. I mean, you only have to look at the clubs results to see what a great impact he has had on the Championship this season. Might even see Manchester United and Liverpool rushing to get this superstar into their team. Might push Rooney or Sturridge sold off to raise the cash that this man would cost. What a disgusting comment to make and right before a crucial game as well. Really inspiring stuff for the players and fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 07:35:56
If anyone is allowed a honest comment it's lee Wallace, don't think he isn't hurting like the rest of us, he could be on a better wage and league just now but chose to stay and that speaks volumes for the guy and because he tells it like it is, like we all do on here every day, some people are upset lol grow up it's ok for yous to say get rid of them but don't they dare agree

Aye Andy. Denny wasn't much of a player but at least he was prepared to work hard. I think he was thrust into a cup final at the last minute by Davie White. Nobody had heard of him. The move backfired and we lost 4-0 to the mhanky mob

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 17:37:48
He was pitched in in 1971 final replay, when Miller was injured. Celtic won 2-1. first game finished 1-1. DJ scored in both. was at both. we lost1969 final 4-0

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 18:40:30
Aye that's right Lani. That cup tie you were on about - big DJ scored near the end to force a replay. I remember Billy McNeill effing and blinding coming off the park at the end. I think DJ just beat him and the keeper to the ball and nodded it into the empty net

21 Mar 2015 19:07:12

Glanced at the back of the Record there(my son brought one in) I thought the boy Streete was called Streete, but they're calling him Steele. Not much of a difference I suppose though McCall clearly called him Streete.
Also, we are allegedly paying all these boys from Newcastles wages, I thought it was a portion of the wages we were picking up.If true the new board must rip up at least 3 of these deals.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

21 Mar 2015 08:16:49
I Think I we get up which I do think we will, we will finish 4th at the lowest even with a full new squad. Let's face it were because of Isaac Asimov management and Harper Lee players the teams in Scotland will start to bottle it again when we get up and sign a few good caliber names. 2 seasons and we will be at least in qualifying stages for Europa league.

Believable3 Unbelievable7

21 Mar 2015 09:20:47
The only caliber we'll get is that non-alcoholic p**s water.
Is that still available?

21 Mar 2015 07:48:39
Hope to see Calum Gallacher in the squad as this young player has scored 5 goals in the Championship whilst on loan at Cowdenbeath more league goals than Boyd.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

21 Mar 2015 09:19:52
Unfortunately that is no guarantee of goals e.g Nicky Clark before & after coming to Rangers

Agree4 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 12:12:20
Nicky Clark, like some others, has NOT been given a fair chance this season, he was pushed down the pecking order when "old man" Miller signed. Clark has proved he has an eye for goals, but if you look at his actual game time, it's no surprise he hasn't scored more, not to mention the pathetic service the strikers have been getting at Ibrox lately so I WOUDN'T criticise this lad too much.

Agree6 Disagree2

21 Mar 2015 13:25:57
Totally agree with you wee bill, nicky clark hasn't had an extended run in the rangers team and if he does he'll score goals for fun given the proper service, clark will go on to become a very good rangers striker

Agree7 Disagree1

21 Mar 2015 17:15:54
To be fair to Clark he certainly puts in plenty effort. I don't fancy him but then I also said that of Mark Hateley when he signed so what do I know? Wish we had him just now. Even at 50 odds!

Agree3 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 19:00:56
I think the second half against Alloa was one of the only times he's played as the main striker and he scored twice. He puts a lot of shots over the bar too, a bit more composure and confidence, I think he can do it for us.
