Will the tape surface that Green had to liquidate because he couldn't deliver a CVA of double the asset cost, to then be burdened with debenture owners and shareholders.(rangers fans).
In addition, contracts would still be in place and required to be honoured. Only creditors would be settled, everything else would remain. The same club with the same history was going to cost just too much and be owned 20% by existing shareholders.

Why do many people on here call your players the 'French boy' the 'Greek lad' the 'Brazilian' etc can you not learn there names or are they just so poor you fail to notice them enough to take in there name. I won't claim to know how to spell them exactly but I at least know its roughly faure, arigiou and cibriani and I have only watched one rangers game this year.

Believable14 Unbelievable5

Which one of those names is the wee french boy ?

Agree6 Disagree4

It's because they are in Div 3 and don't have their names on the back of their shirts .

Since yous are so obsessed with figures and attendances and possession percentage here is something for you, Celtic vs barca was viewed by 7mill plus ppl around the world on tues which took 35.7% of the tv states of viewing on the day. Now that is some sort of possession eh, seems like there might be even more bhoys fans today around the world then before after a great display and effort against the best team in the world.

Believable24 Unbelievable25

Aye thats 7 million puls watching barca not celtic

Or a few million Bears tuning in to see you getting pumped? RTID

Agree22 Disagree18

Nothing to do with barca then...lol dont think there will be more...people only remember winners not shadows...lol

Agree16 Disagree11

@1, that's alright at least p are watching our games and after the display I'm sure a lot more will watch to see how close Celtic could come to a historical result. @2, and who are the ones who are obsessed? Wanted to toon in to watch some really football rather then your crappy div3 team, hope you told ally to watch and learn alot of how to manage a team. @3, you may be right because no one will remember your new club and only the shadow of guilt and cheats that is the tainted club that is being liq lol, and if Celtic were a shadow on Tuesday well then that shadow cast over barca and the rest of the world as all eyes and talk has been about Celtic stepping out of the shadows to show that we are back and that we and Scotland deserve more respect, while yous try and keep Scotland down with all your boycotts and negative attitude and vile hate for anything that dosent agree with your new club, everyone else fault but yours but the rest of the world dosent see it that way so they all must be Celtic fans then eh.

Agree15 Disagree11

Op...wee reminder, you lost.....and to a Barca team that had shipped 4 goals in last game, minus some real stars...and no guff about todays Barca team being better than the one that beat us in 2007, they won the Champions league twice between 2006 and 2009....Spartak Moscow pushed them all the way as well..you will never had a better chance to beat them, but ultimately, for all the Bhoy spin, you fluked a goal and spent the rest of the game with 10 men behind the ball, and you still lost...get over it.

Agree12 Disagree12

Wishful thinking.

Agree5 Disagree2

@5, not a Flucked goal as it came from a set piece and forms header that when the ball is in the box anything can happen. And we were leading for half the game only to lose the goals in the last seconds as well we should have had another but the header went just wide. Point is all over the world Celtic are being given a big pat on the back and a job well done, so your thinking and opinions on the game mean nothing as you can't win in div3 and your jealousy as to how good Celtic is is just pathetic, why don't you get over it! For we and the rest of the world are proud o the way we played and how close we came to one of the biggest upsets. I'm sure you will be watching more Celtic games so you can shout out your hate in here eh

26 Oct 2012 16:37:28

@4. Does the padded room you're in have a secure lock on that door. Have u and the rest of the 'green brigade' got your remembrance day banners made ready. This time get the spelling right and the rest of us normal folk won't laugh at u so much.

Agree1 Disagree3

@5 would that be the same people who lambasted rangers for anti football when we also took a point of barca apparently playing anti defensive football, now away an talk sense an try burying your own bitterness and hatred

Agree1 Disagree1

And you and your ilk don't hate Rangers?A typical Sellik-minded post....ok for you and your mob to do anything, but anyone else who does is bitter/twisted/bigoted...various Barca players and legends, Bernd Schuster included, have burst the Kerrydale Catalans bubble by lambasting the Sellik even more venomously than they did Rangers in 2007,,,you might fool the Scottish press, but you can't fool the rest of Europe....and remember, you lost!

Agree1 Disagree2

@1, how am I sad and obsessed? It's a banter pager and it seems you are deluded if you believe or hide from what is goin on at your club not just in the present but all facts coming out about how wrong your club has been.
It's good to see that you give us credit because that means we are winning more ppl over with our play and reputation. Now that your old club is gone so to should be the hate and vile, for I know I would say well done to yous if you were there. And speaking if that, was it not green who said he never wants to be in spl and hence no cl? And now after a massive Celtic display and world regonition of a job well done he wants to follow us in cl, just hope he dosent pull a david Murray to yous as he tried.
There was a wee bit of hurt at first but what came out of it was pride, joy and thankfulness of the club as maybe losing in a heart break made us even more well liked around the world as more will want to see if we can do it again and get into last 16.

My brother is a Rangers fanatic I am a Dundee United fan. I don't like what happened to his team and must admit we don't have the same banter as we used to. He says a lot of his mates blame us and the SPL for what has happened to Rangers over the last year. Surely any honest Rangers fan knows who is to blame for these goings on, the blame lies with the poeple who were in charge of your club over the last number of years, not my club or any other club in the SPL . I thought when your club went to div. 3 Scottish football in particular the SPL would suffer greatly in both quality of play and financies, but I was wrong the football in the SPL is better and my club are actually in a better financial position at the moment. The reason for this is not Rangers demise but better competition for 2nd place and a better chance to get into Europe. I would like to see Rangers back in the top flight as soon as possible even if it is just to cheer up my brother and we can get back to some decent banter again. To have blamed other clubs for what has happened is silly you will only alienate yourselves further with this attitude, forget it and become the proud club you once were.
Calum

Believable21 Unbelievable15

Mate the spl is to blame for where rangers are...the club still existed after its sale in the same format....according to the judge whos job it is to sort out the punishment of duel contract....if they still exist then why do they have to apply to the spl and sfa for new membership....surely even the most biggoted fan would agree that they have got it wrong....

Agree15 Disagree26

@1: wrong, it was according to Green that Nimmo-Smith said that but he didn't. Don't believe everything Charlie says.

Agree19 Disagree4

@1; Administration and liquidation means you cannot stay in the top flight. Are you for real? James D

Agree21 Disagree3

Your delusional mate. Rangers are in the 3rd because they were liquidated and the newco HAS TO start at the bottom. It would make an absolute mockery of the whole thing if they let a newco Rangers waltz past 3 divisions of teams straight back into the SPL. Think about it. And the dual contract punishment will remove titles from oldco Rangers NOT the team in 3rd division. The argument about same team, same history is between you a Celtic. No one else in Scotland or Scottish football cares especially not the SFA, SPL.

Agree20 Disagree3

Look mate your the biggoted one. A club liquidated has to apply to join and it can only be at the lowest level if you are given a licence. People leant over backwards to let you start again and I would have hoped you would have appreciated that, but no you still have your head stuck in the sand about what happened to your club blaming all and sundry apart from the ones you should be blaming, even at this stage there is stuff comming out that should have been before made known now. This is not over and I really feel for the loyal Rangers supporters they shouldn't have had to put up with this. It is self denial by some and possibly lies as to where your once great club is being led.
It was possible to have prevented the liquidation even as late as February, but certain money grabbers had other ideas on which road to take, screwing your own fans and creditors in the process. So if your looking for someone to blame look closer to home, that where you'll find the cause of your demise as I'm sure a lot of your good fans already know. After all that I want to see the Rangers back where they belong for the sake of all your good fans and Scottish football, who had no part in all this apart from being conned by crooks and money grabbers and your club seems to attract them.

This seems to be the new mantra this season "The reason for this is not Rangers demise but better competition for 2nd place and a better chance to get into Europe". So all of a sudden because Rangers are not there you will get a better chance of getting into Europe? Enlighten me, how have the rest of the SPL (excluding Celtic) done recently in Europe. (Yes we know we didn't exactly 'set the heather on fire' either) you will get exactly the same chance of getting into Europe as you did before, whether finishing now 2nd or (when Rangers were there) 3rd.

Agree8 Disagree10

Surely you must know that it was not possible to stay in the spl after the sheer scale and carnage that the owners and administrators caused and are still causing , and lets be honest you are not out the woods yet with all the revelations that are coming almost daily , if the worst happens with bdo then div3 will seem like a great option but without a stadium or training complex where will you be then, lets hope that road is not taken by bdo but there are still so many people out of pocket because of your club so get over it and get on with it

Agree14 Disagree3

@6, have a wee think there buddy and take off your blue tinted glasses and get your head out of the sand! If your liq club didn't cheat for over a decade the spl would be a much better league because then the other clubs in spl would have had a chance at winning trophies and money and European expirence which only helps to grow the clubs and league. But with yous cheating you had players which you should have never had since you couldn't afford them which gave you an advantage over every other club playing by the rules and living within thier means! Maybe a second liq team of yours will be the only way to open your eyes because if it is not for the help of spl and sfa to get you up the leagues fast then you would be stuck with ally and the rest of your highly paid players against ppl who work for a living. And them playing you dozen really help the lower leagues that much because they seem to be on the same level as yous are, but hey keep enjoying the lies your club tells you and the misleading for yous seem to love that more the. Having an actuale well balanced and well runned business/club. The spl is growing without yous for the better and we all know this hurts you more then or the same as Celtic doing very well in cl.

Agree10 Disagree4

Mate I think it's sad you think that clubs in scotland are now competing for 2nd place and European football....how many actually are playing in Europe this season....the coefficient of Scottish football will drop in the next two years due to the others not competing properly and getting put out too early....Scottish football is suffering....Celtic probably more than most....all clubs are recording lower attendances while lower viewers watching games live means lower interest in our game....less investment follows and fewer European places given by uefa....

Agree2 Disagree7

We are the same club hence the same licence, but our Newco didn't have 3yrs accounts. That's why we are at slf3.

Agree0 Disagree10

@8. How many times must we go through this....the spl want to know how much you are paying players so that they can ensure that the player is paid correctly in the event of a player declaring they have not been paid....much like the hearts scenario just now....there is no salary cap in football...so its not cheating....its tax avoidance...nothing to do with cheating...players were paid what was agreed...tax was not paid correctly...

Agree3 Disagree9

@11, so your little scenario works out like this, Ronaldo, Messi etc agree to play for Clyde for £400k per week but Clyde (with the help of a sympahetic bank) only pay £400 per week through the books and the rest through an EBT scheme and that's not cheating?

Think the OP is trying to say that with oldco no longer around a team like St Mirren are looking to take advantage of the fact that there isnt the guarantee of 2 qualification places being taken by the old firm every year, he's not talking about clubs performances in Europe, just fact that their is an extra berth to fight for.

G93

Agree2 Disagree0

@8. A better league? IF? IF? Aye and IF you're granny had baws - The SPL would have been an even bigger backwater then than compared to now. IF it wasn't for Rangers and Celtic do you seriously think anybody outside of this parochial footballing nation would give a toss about football here? How would not having Rangers there help the rest of the dross (Celtic apart) magically improve their European involvement? There would have been even less money in the SPL-Hence decent players would have stayed well away-Hence most teams would never get past the first qualifying round. No change then...pffft.

**** – Charlie and the boys will be thinking – who else did the wee bugger record?

Believable13 Unbelievable1

They're all bricking it mate and actually serves em all right. I hope the full truth comes out and the BBC gets all the recordings. I noted David Murray kept quiet and never rubbished the claims.... Because they were true. The sales agreement is evidence and there's many copies of it.
It shows Murray knew about administration and newco.
Green said Whyte left the Chinese resturant after introducing him to D&P, wager Whyte has recording of 3 hour meal conversations.

Looks like d&P tried to stuff Whyte and he had them by the short and curlies...

but Green will float shares, with whyte taking a lovely slice of the profits.. or pull then down.

I am sure some of the other consortiums at the time claimed they had offered better deals for the rangers assets , I can recall the press conference with Murray and Kennedy where they stated such and I am sure Murray said TBK had done so with Ticketus onboard previously. After months of to-ing and fro-ing Chico came out of nowhere soon after Ticketus stopped doing deals with the blue knights and the singapore consortium. I can only surmise they (ticketus) may have instigated their own secret consortium via Chico.. That's my conspiracy theory. Things have not went according to plan and I look forward to more of Whyte's evidence.

Be interesting to see how this affects any IPO.. I can foresee the bears fans putting into the IPO only for legal workings unwinding the D&P biased deal in a few months and all the money in newco disappearing into the ether also.. Those who know how to play the shyster's system wins again.

Maybe the rangers fans who have come here to tell the "obsessed" non rangers fraternity that all our rantings are BS will eat some of Mick's wares, Humble pie… We will have our ' I told you so' moment..

Chico has been quiet for a week since his £17m revelation in only a few days, I would expect at least another £17m by now surely.. All I have read is Chico the footie player wi his 70′s porn moustache, sorry for saying he had death threats, he is the one sorry no less… Ally at Edinburgh castle on some charity nonsense, saying the fans now realise they are in sfl3, he looks forward to euro football, McCulloch rocks and the jambos should not be dealt any more penalties for not paying wages because they shouldn't be deal the way rangers were… All this on the back of Whyte's revelations, me thinks the spin doctors have been busy with their side stories…Time to ignore the facts, make sure no difficult questions are asked and spin happy yarns that will make the bears feel all glowy and warm inside….

I fear Whyte is drip feeding wee bits of info a piece at a time like a chess player he is waiting on Chico's next defensive move, before he offers a counter attack…

D&P urged the liquidators to engage ASAP last week, I wonder why, in fact I wonder why that has not happened any legalities could mostly been sorted out ahead of time IMO around july… Something stinks..!

Believable14 Unbelievable6

HMRC statement on Rangers from the CVA knockback.

Statement on Rangers Football Club

"A liquidation provides the best opportunity to protect taxpayers, by allowing the potential investigation and pursuit of possible claims against those responsible for the company's financial affairs in recent years. A CVA would restrict the scope of such action. Moreover the liquidation route does not prejudice the proposed sale of the club. This sale can take place either through a CVA or a liquidation.

So the sale is not being undermined, it simply takes a different route. Liquidation will enable a sale of the football assets to be made to a new company, thereby ensuring that football will continue at Ibrox. It also means that the new company will be free from claims or litigation in a way which would not be achievable with a CVA. Rangers can make a fresh start."

Agree7 Disagree4

"fresh start" As in a new club. Now do you get it bears? James D

Agree11 Disagree8

@2 What a diddy. Talk about being selective with what you've just read, 'Rangers can make a fresh start' not 'a new club can make a fresh start' because how can a new club start afresh when it's starting for the first time?

Charlie recently said, DM Hall have valued The Rangers property at £80m. Was it DM Hall who valued oldco's property at £120m, a few years ago?

Some people have said, the reason the property was valued at £120m, was in order to make the books look healthy. So, do you think Charlie's had the property valued, in order to make the Prospectus look healthy?

And would potential investors, excluding the people who would be doing it for sentimental reasons, decide to invest in a company, just because of the valuation of it's property?

Believable14 Unbelievable2

25 Oct 2012 16:27:05
The possibility is highlighted in the prospectus and for this reason and possibly many others, institutional investors want nothing to do with the IPO. Normally, that would mean that personal investors would not take it up. However, in this case we have people who will invest with their hearts and may take up the whole £22m. After the IPO, BDO come along and 'take back' the assets. Rangers then fold and the supporters £22m is lost. I am not saying any of this will happen, but it might. Should not someone act to delay the IPO or BDO (when appointed) act very quickly to at least give some idea of their thinking. AND should not the MSM be warning on this matter, indeed I am surprised that nice Mr Traynor has not pursued this. My concern is that the ordinary Rangers supporter is getting involved with something not many of us understand and could stand to lose money almost as soon as they have parted with it rather that some time down the line having taken a commercial risk. It's one thing backing a horse and losing, it's quite another if the horse was lame before the race.

Believable13 Unbelievable3

What more is to come out of this fiasco and the old club have not yet been liquidated. I shudder to think what could happen to us when the administrators have been deceiving the public, is the whole scenario crooked, with Green getting the assets for so little then his chairman comming out and saying they are worth tens of millions more it doesn't bode well when it comes before Lord Hodge to agree on the liquidation. I just wish the whole thing is completed quickly and let us move on. If D & P are discredited what about Green, this whole thing stinks, what did he know? To make and have such a low bid accepted and to apply for a CVA with this bid you would have to be in cuckoo land to think it would be accepted. He obviously preferred liquidation
Which has cost the fans and creditors so much hurt and shame. It makes you wonder what his real motives are, only time will tell.
Bobby

Believable21 Unbelievable4

There's every possibility that Ibrox and Murray Park will be taken from Green. Would we still support his club, I think if I'm being honest the only thing that's kept me believing that it is still Rangers and not some reincarnation is the fact that on match days a team in blue still run out at Ibrox.
The severity of what is about to happen cannot be underestimated.

Agree20 Disagree9

1) disagree strongly, the assets can only be sold for the best bid which was Green. You cannot go back after 6 months and decide they could have got more. I can't sell my house then go back in six months saying I didn't get enough for it.

Agree2 Disagree14

The difference between you selling your house and rangers administration is that the administrators should act impartially from the club/owners and in the best interests of the creditors, if it is found they were acting illegally or with conflicting interests then the soon to be appointed liquidators have the legal powers to revoke all deals administered by the administrators to ensure best value for the creditors.
Would it surprise anyone if whyte produced a tape of a conversation between himself and Murray when Murray asks him to buy the club for £1 take it into administration? Maybe with whyte agreeing to do so for a management fee?

Jd

Agree7 Disagree0

@2; They could if you were liquidated and gratuitous alienation was proved. That tape recording is a killer. James D

Agree8 Disagree2

At @2 i think you will find that if it is proved that the administrators did not get the best deal for the investors then a resale is a very distinct possibility , and as the revelations are flowing thick and fast i wouldnt be too sure about anything just now

Agree7 Disagree0

Re the house analogy. Imagine that you can't pay your mortgage and hand the keys back to the bank. The bank then decide to sell the property to one of their directors for a pound. You loose the house and still owe the bank the money. What would happen then?

Or imagine your house is being advertised by an estate agent. They tell you the house is only worth half of what it really is and suggest that instead of wasting time putting it on to the market they'll by it. What would happen then.

Now imagine that a company goes in to liquidation. The administrator is appointed and sells £120 million of assets for £5 million to a "preferred bider" that they have being dealing with in secret since before administration. Thus defrauding creditors of any payback. What should happen then?

Agree6 Disagree2

#3 - they didn't act in favour of the owner - that is why he taped them and is suing them - so whilst D&P have acted inappropriate and will be dealt with accordingly there will be no recourse for newco

Good post joe, we the fans are fed up of the whole saga and just wish it was over so we can get back to some kind of normality. We'd like to concentrate purely on football, but alas, corrupt greedy money men with their bickering will not allow that to happen. As for the press and their vultures, the language i could use about them would not be printable on here.

Whyte has taped everything. Murray and others must be bricking it.
Every meeting, social event, meals..... Digitally Recorded.
Whytes played this liquidation game 28 times, what else would anyone expect?
With security over Assets D&P should have had Whytes creditor status as their primary focus.
Whyte isn't being left with a £26m lawsuit in all this.

Agree11 Disagree3

Joe. Are you really a Bhoy? DONT THINK SO/ The gutter press have had it in for Celtic FC for years even when we did nothing wrong. The carry on at the Newco is so bad that it must be exposed to their fans. Dont hear you complaining about how we are treated by the press. Jingo

Agree8 Disagree3

What have the media done wrong? Is reporting the truth a crime now? I'm sure every fan of the newco are sickened by the carry on of all involved in this whole sorry saga but at the end of the day I'm sure even the most committed newco fan will want the truth to come out so that they can move forward as a new club with no baggage from the dead club. As the saying goes 'don't shoot the messenger'

Agree11 Disagree2

I dont think joe is a celtic man why would he refer to his own team as the dark side

Agree8 Disagree2

Yes jingo. I'm a bhoy not a biggot . I had 2 corporate seasons ticket for years which I got gratis from the club for allowing my company to do work at cost for my club! So don't question my credentials just because I offered an olive branch. Everyone knows the press will call any tune to sell a rag , just because we got our share doesn't mean it's ok for rangers or anyone else to get the same treatment. You my friend take what you will from my post- I couldn't care less. I stand by it - the decent Bears don't deserve this crap , just in the same way we didn't before the bunnet. Joe great refreshing post in these times of torture for us gers fans. i have many celtic mates exactly like you and although i had a snigger before the bunnet, i stopped and saw the bigger picture just like you. what a good post and good reply you gave because all the negatives regarding my club and possible outcomes, im on the brink of giving up because i dont think this is anywhere near the end and as fans we will be the biggest losers

I cant believe my eyes! Banter aside the common sense is welcome Joe. It can go to far sometimes, now we now how you lot felt, maybe worse! When the ordinary supporters are being used by these suits, it makes me feel sick. They only care for the money. Cheers.
