Who is paying for all these wages that the new signings will be getting. Team seems to be building into a very fine team/ squad mind you which looks like good entertainment. I don't care about level of opposition, we need to get on with things and you could see last seasons youth struggled. Ally is building a team here that are worth watching, I hope we just don't end up back in land of doom.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah good one Walter

Agree0 Disagree0

@op I think these deals will be structured a lot better probably with lower wages with bonus incentives it's easy money for 2 yrs defo if win any cups extra these players will defo no get the money the duds got last season

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't get yourself hot and bothered about a cup unless it's The Ramsden, your still a long way off.

I have just read on the Bears official website Mr McCoist expects both on loan last year expensive (possibly very expensive) central defenders to report back for pre season training and would ideally like Neil Alexander to stay on. I know I am not the only one really worried about costs- but it seems to be getting worse. This guy needs a simple arithmetic lesson before we drift straight into Administration 2. The cynic in me expects the audited accounts only to appear if significant numbers of season tickets are sold. Good strategy in theory but if they are trying-again to buy success Europe is ever further away with no accounts. Would much prefer some of the young guns who showed up well in the Hong Kong Sevens- highlights on Rangers TV-McCausland, Jamie Burrows and Charlie Telfer.

Ally and your many devotees on this site- give us a break- stop spending money you don't have and give youth a chance.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How do you know he doesn't have enough cash? do you honestly believe smith and ally wouls sit back and spend all our money knowing we would go straighht back to hell? get a grip, we need a team don't we? we are a football club after all? do u want us to play wee boys and finish up relegated? ffs, just enjoy the fact we look as if we, re heading somewhere positive Tommyblue

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it highly unlikely that Ally McCoist has the final say on what Rangers spends.

PFA Scotland have advised Cammy Bell, Nicky Law, Jon Daly and Nicky Clark not to play for Rangers until September.

All four players have agreed pre-contract deals at Ibrox and last week the SFA and the SFL gave them the green light to appear as trialists.

However, the signing embargo placed on Rangers last year means the players can’t be registered with the SFA until September 1 – and the PFA has warned they’ll be taking a gamble if they agree to play before then.

The union fears they may not be covered if they sustain a serious injury. Former Hibs and Livingston midfielder Stuart Lovell, now Player Liaison officer with the PFA, claims most pre-contracts are worthless. {The Ed039's Note - Pre contracts are worthless to players if they pick up a serious injury as proven when Celtic renaged on a pre contract with a Lech Poznan player, I like how the entire article was quote minus this little bit, no backing out from the players end I am afraid)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

To be honest that's what we should do keep them till September save any nonsense about being cheats from across the city!if they sign on sept 1st they should just wait till after that then play our squad is big enough till then co let's be honest no1 going to take the dross we want shot of

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not nonsense you would be cheating (aided and abetted as usual by Campbell and the SFA old boys club) {The Ed039's Note - Cheating by using rules of the SFL that existed long before Rangers were a part of their set-up? Time to get real I think)

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 how is it cheating when it's the sfl rules? Or does your own hatred of Rangers blind you so much to the truth? {The Ed039's Note - My response was less blatant lol)

Agree0 Disagree0

@2. No it would not be cheating. Read the article properly or read up on how the trialist system works before mouthing off. I personally would recommend the player not play til Sep. But to start suggesting cheating really shows you up for what you are I'm afraid. Very very sad. {The Ed039's Note - or paranoid?)

Agree0 Disagree0

Answer this ed or anyone else and i'm not saying its cheating but defo bending the rules how can a player be paraded as a new signing and then play as a trialist and the players in question are'nt guys unknown to the rangers there for why is a trail needef if not to get round the embargo as for the dig at celtic come on ed you should rise above the ah bit they did it tae nonsense these unfortunate things can happen when having a look at a some what unknown player its hardly the same thing in my opinion the rangers can play who they like it makes no difference they should still be good enough to beat div two teams with or without new signings
thommyj

Agree0 Disagree0

If they are trialists then that's fine play them as trialists, if they are not trialists then don't play them. However if you know that they are not trialists then why the debate?

FTE

Agree0 Disagree0

#5 there is no bending of rules. The players are being paraded already to ahow the fans they have signed. They aren't officially rangers players yet. They officially become rangers players on 1st September. During that time they can as trialists for any other club they want.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers could easily get insurance for trailists if they wish, could cost a pretty penny. but if they did this that would cover players.

injury can cost millions in lost income. so the risk is real, especially in div 2/3 where lumpy pitches and parttimer will kick hell out of primadonnas.

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 Mate READ THE SFA RULES. Just get on with your own team. What is a team in the 2nd div got to do with your team. This is so fx@kin petty.

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 it's not bending the rules either. Any team under the current sfl rules can do the same and I am sure when the rule was introduced the people making it knew about all the potential scenarios and were happy to pass the rule

Agree0 Disagree0

@5. It's called exploiting a loophole. If the loophole isn't there it can't be abused. Bit like big tax case etc. We don't make the rules we just abide by them. If you don't. like it complain to sfl.

Agree0 Disagree0

@8 please tell me who the prima donna's are, very curious?

Agree0 Disagree0

Answer this ed or anyone else and i'm not saying its cheating but defo bending the rules how can a player be paraded as a new signing and then play as a trialist and the players in question are'nt guys unknown to the rangers there for why is a trail needef if not to get round the embargo as for the dig at celtic come on ed you should rise above the ah bit they did it tae nonsense these unfortunate things can happen when having a look at a some what unknown player its hardly the same thing in my opinion the rangers can play who they like it makes no difference they should still be good enough to beat div two teams with or without new signings
thommyj {The Ed039's Note - Thommy its not even bending the rules because the rules state you can play the trialists, Rangers would have been able to play trialists last season and didnt, many SFL clubs play players on a trial basis, as for the dig, it was also a bit of banter, I take it and I dish it out, but I agree that even without playing trialists Rangers should beat these other teams, but if the rules state that you can play trialists, and these guys are there already, then why not, any other team would)

Kirk Broadfoot is keeping Cathcart out of the team is this a player we want? its the defence that need sorted we need a leader in there a experienced player. berra would be a brilliant signing. like big bikey to. what's happnin with bocca and goian are they away. would love to see hateley to rangers blood. W. A. T. P {The Ed039's Note - Boca and Goian are due back but dont expect them to stick around, they will likely be handed free transfers to get them off the wage bill)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think Goian is looking to get back to Romania and Bocanegra won't play in the 2nd division with the World cup next year. Berra is a non starter and Hateley isn't the answer

Hi fellow bears. Ally back on Tuesday so do not expect anything to be done until Wednesday. However come Wednesday Ally will parade Humphrey, Peralta, Smith & Berra. Berra will take a wage cut to join to be with his pregnant g/f. Cathcart story is nonsense.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Where will his pregnant girlfriend play?

Agree0 Disagree0

Berra? Are we trying to turn ourselves in hearts over a period of time? Berra gives me nightmares every time I watch Scotland.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is the Catcart story about us moving to play on the pitches at Catcart.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely Berra's pregnant girlfriend would be better than Cribari?

Agree0 Disagree0

N4 she wouldn't be any worse that's for sure lol tmwnn

so walter puts his hand up and we all obey again can't you see this is to sell season tickets. why you worship this man I will never know he is a average couch who bought his way to titles the first time and bored his way the scond time. thn thought he would leave rangers and get all sorts of offers none of which happened why. outside scotland and his buddies he's not rated.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I was you I would find another team to follow. Real fans will buy season tickets no matter what.

Agree0 Disagree0

So OP You were sitting in the house and Rangers sent a ream of guys up to force you to buy a season ticket. Me I will get mine by the usuall means OUT OF LOVE FOR MY CLUB. Get real pal away back to your dark cupboard.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good post in walter we trust

@1) hi Charles, or Imran, or Brian or Craig M. Or Jabba.

It's the "real fans" infestation of online sites again straight out of top floor Ibrox where precious few Rangers fans sit.

Pay at the gate, STs will be avail anytime. if everything is ok they'll sell half season tickets in November anyway. Show some balls.

As soon as they have the fans money, they have the power. No season tickets until a. All signees on pre contracts are officially contracted on first sept.
B. official public accounts are listed.
C. Title deeds to Murray Park, Car Parks, Ibrox, Social Club and other land are shown to be owned by The Rangers International FC Plc. (ie the fans shareholders).

Agree0 Disagree0

#2 Believe me many fans who love the club agree that #4 has a point.

I certainly love the club & have been going to Ibrox for decades but detest some of the spivs who are running it. That's why as of this moment in time I'll be paying on a game to game basis.

OP. It's just silly to pretend Walter is only an average coach or couch as you put it.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 totally agree, its the so called REAL fans that have done ny box in for 2 years now and a big big cause to the trouble we are in. They thought Craig whyte was the savour, they also thought David goodwillie was going sign after 6 failed attempts, Charles green was amazing at 1 point and follow followed him with blinkers on, the list goes on.

Agree0 Disagree0

I said last week on here game to game basis for me till we know what's going on for cert!like where money going and audited accounts to give us a clue where money went in last 18 month Or so and got slaughtered folk sayin hows that going to teach them anything etc told I wasn't a true fan which is bs!our money is hard earned have the right to know its getting used for our club bit going in the pockets off leeches tryin fleece our club but that's my opinion up to others how they spend there cash

Agree0 Disagree0

Smiths record speaks for its self if you are a bear and don't want to buy book don't buy one most loyal supporters will buy books its the club we support tmwnn

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster your bang on smith had it easy. with a team that was ther when he took over, with money to spend that wasn't rangers to spend, ya buy books support rangers but don't you dare forget that smith got out sharp when the sh"t was just about to gona hit the fan, and this is also the man that has not told the fans one thing that they have asked that he obviously knows about what's going on, In side rangers, Ya he is gona have his fans but I look on him as a part of the problem that finished rangers, not a solution that will fix the new co rangers,
