suprisingly I just came into my head in the thrill of the moment lol. I know as we earlier said this could be far from over but I'd rather be in rangers position. I only expected caley to draw at best tonight and that Celtic would drop points elsewhere so they may even shed more points. I think both teams games against hearts are vital although they haven't played well lately.

I've been doing a wee bit of research to find out what proposal (Murray v Whyte) is better. Whyte's deal is one that would pay off our debt to Lloyds and give the squad an injection of £10 million in the Summer. The alternative is leave the debt as it is an do a share issue (under-written by a millionaire) of £25 million to boost the squad. To me Murray is right, the debt is at a manageable level. It used to be that we could take out massive loans because Lloyds knew that MIH was a highly profitable company that could repay the loans at any time. When the recession hit and MIH started to make losses Lloyds demanded the repayment of Rangers' debts because SDM could no longer underwrite them. If SDM is no longer the main share holder, and the shareholders have enough capital to convince Lloyds that there money is safe then there is no reason to continue to repay the loan at the high rate we are doing at the moment.
The squad desperately needs re-building, I think that should be the priority, not satisfying Lloyds. For me the best case scenario would be if Whyte buys the club, and then allows Paul Murray the share issue to raise more funds for the squad. Obviously this would mean that Whyte would not have as large a majority in shareholding, I see this as a positive because it means that if one person starts to lose their money the club does not suffer. I am now backing Paul Murray.

Thats the thing Athiest because you can draw a game and still be top that's what doesn't fill me with confidence because I can't see Celtic getting beat. You know me well, I'm not Lennons biggest fan but he may yet prove me wrong. I must admit I agree with the post about Jelavic going for no less than £8 million. We signed him for just over 4 million, add on wages and to make a significant profit 8 would be about right.
Billyboy is right lets now focus on the last few games. In one week we will have seen Walters final home game as Gers manager, I hope we can give him a proper send off.
