Ally McCoist and Charles Green are to meet in crunch talks on Monday about his future as Manager. Ally is to be offered an Ambassador role and Derek McInnes is to be offered the Mangers job.
Believable112
Unbelievable76
McInnes and Davies will pick up championship teams soon enough there's no chance they will be signing and what else is Ally meant to do, promotion is a certainty

Lol. Ambassador
Briggs {Ed001's Note - I hear he has already stocked up on Ferrero Rocher....}

Dont see how McCoist and his backroom team could be relieved of their duties at this juncture. . where would the money come from to compensate them never mind fund a new set up?

Agree with post 3 Ally won't go because there is no money to pay him off. Probably only thing that's saving him just now. I am afraid there is more cup pain ahead of us and no progression till the money is there to pay him off
Agree1

Please go for gods sake, and Charles beg Ray Wilkins to come in
Agree3
Disagree3
Ray Wilkins who's been out of football for how long? When was the last time he managed a team? How much knowledge does he have of the Scottish game now?
Agree2
Disagree1
Mcinnes failed miserably in the championship who's going to take a punt on him now with the managers floating around jobless or on a shaky nail in the PL.
Agree0

Ray Wilkins will have more knowledge than Ally!

What's the chances of terry butcher stepping in then? It's obvious we need change and the majority of gers fans would have him as their first choice

Ally has invested £500k + in the club, so can't see him leaving anytime soon. No chance Butcher coming either.
Agree2

Ally has not invested a penny. Ally has taken money out!
Agree1

Ally lot a time for you but FFS you must know you don't have it as a gaffer please chuck it and let us move on as a club!
Agree1

Terry butcher would be the choice of most Gers fans he has an eye for a player and Inverness have had a good season in the SPL.
The problem is can Green afford to pay off Ally

Alistair must be given the chance to lead Rangers back to the top flight. If he were to fail in promotion from either the Third, Second or First divisions, I think he would step down, for the good of Rangers. This is hypothetical. At this time, we need stability and continuity. Managers are dismissed far too easily in today's modern game. Even with some disappointing recent results, the notion of dismissing our manager at this time is absurd.
Agree3
Disagree1
Ally is one of us it not his fault the team is piss keep the faith watp wee will be back
Agree3
Disagree1
I am no fan of Ally but he is toothless, the players cannot be sacked or dropped, and I doubt if there are any win bonuses this season. Managers need a carrot and stick to motivate players, and he has neither. The senior players came under fire which highlights the problem he has in getting them to perform instead of going through the motions. I don't see how a new manager is going to change things, he isn't getting any more tools than Ally to use.
Agree1
Disagree1
The majority of us who actually go to games week in week out know ally is not the manager to take us forward. We have won the 3rd Div but anyone could achieve that with the squad we have when it comes to tactics signing players he has a terrible record. does he actually let the players train with a ball during the week because some games it looks like the players don't want the ball. Time to go ally

According to news I'm just recieving Ally will be looking for his old telly job back just shortly and none of it will be of his doing. . .
Agree0

Have you seen our perfomances this season, remember ayear ago we were top of spl 17 points ahead of eventual winners and he lost another 10 on top of 17 before 10 point deduction, out of 7 cups, no motavation from sidelines, unable to change tactics.
what would Souness have done during this time? A damm sight better with rubbish Ally brought in.

Doesn't matter how long Ray Wilkins has been out of football and Scotland-get him in. He knows enough.

Explain how ally is nae a good manager. one word sums it up- cribari

St mirren fan here. your manager needs to get rid of the nice guy image and stop the smiles and winks for the cameras!. its all an act!. start kicking some butts and say it like it is!. his comments about league being priority and cups not important is shocking!. you play football to win every thing put in front of you!. and what about the revenue from a cup run that is badly needed at ibrox!. if I were a gers fan i'd be very worried.
Agree0
Disagree0
I am a scottish football fan rather than a rangers fan. I believe however that scottish football would benefit from a strong rangers. ask yourselves are celtic fans happy that ally is the manager. does that not tell you something.
Agree0

6 million in wages to win div3, 8 million to win div2 and 10 million to win div1. then onto the SPL-Europe and back into debt.
Agree0
Disagree1
We will win Division 3 this season. We will win Division 2 next season, especially once transfer embargo is lifted. We should win Division 1 as well. If we are not winning comfortably by then, then it will be time to change the manager. To get rid of Ally just because he isn't beating div 3 sides 6-0 every week, or struggling against a top division side when half his side is made up from boys and he can't change anyone, would be madness
Agree0
Disagree1
I am not suggesting they damage Scottish football, but I fail to see the argument for either Rangers or Celtic benefitting Scottish football, anyone think of one?
The standard of football at both domestic and national level has not improved since the formation of the SPL, and most clubs are marginally viable at best.

surely Perry has played his last game in a Bears jersey, if coisty can't see that then he should go as well, wtf do we do at murray park? do they ever practice defending balls into the box? shocking
Believable91
Unbelievable15
Ive watched the rangers for over 30 years and that guy looked like a punch drunk boxer who didn't want to carry on: - (should never wear a rangers jersey again in my opinion but its a job lot today apart from wallace!never an alarmist but enoughs enough: - (ally, youve done your duty but serve out the season and leave, WATP
Agree1
Disagree3
No but going by the pictures they have a good laugh with Ally! Are you supposed to practice there then?
Agree0

Agree he was terrible, an faked injury to get off the park, hope he is not back playing for the gers soon, an one point why Barrie McKay one of the best players never started is a joke, not one player could pass a ball, and the Kyle Hutton, seb faure one-two was embarrassing, a pass from Kyle Hutton is like a shot on goal, something needs to be done, dundee utd are a good team this rangers team is not, it was always going to be a doing for rangers, this isn't the team that beat utd 5-0 last time they played, but the gers need to keep going we will get stronger.

what about the brazilian, at least perry is only 22, cribari! worst ever defender i'v seen, can't header the ball.
Agree1
Disagree0
I'm not one for knee jerk reactions but I have been saying all along, as soon as we came up against a decent side our defence would be found out. I love ally to bits but he signed these players. cribari, fuare, the greek guy, black, all not good enough. he would have been as well signing juniors. as for ross perry well if that's what our academy is producing they would be as well putting a big padlock ony the gates. question is, where do we go from here. answers on a postcard!
Agree3
Disagree1
What about Faure, is he not the worst player we have EVER signed, he doesn't look fit! and why has McCoist let Hemmings go to Cowdenbeath when we are crying out for a striker
Agree0
Disagree0
Cribari. hopeless, a Brazilian from the same school as Celtic got Scheidt, maybe worse than him even!
Agree2
Disagree0
Celtic fan here. Scheidt was worse lol. And cost 5 million!
Officially the worse signing in the history of Scottish football when you consider the fee paid.
P. s Both are better than Ross Perry! Like @3) I was convinced at the time he was feigning injury to get off the park, he knew he was in for a nightmare of an afternoon. I think it would have been worse if he had stayed on. Hegarty immediately made the defence look more assured.

No cigar for McCoist and nowhere to hide. No excuse on age, average age of first eleven today well over 26.
He has blamed the players.
He says cups unimportant.
I believe another manager would prepare the team better. Would get more from these professionals and would form them into a playing team. McCoist really is a poor manager and needs to go. All radio pundits today, normally shouting for rangers, agree. Ally hasn't got a clue.
Believable86
Unbelievable30
I agree he has not got a clue? Try and get someone in who can galvanise the players.
I never wanted McCoist as manager not even before the rubbish hit the fan. He is naive tactically and he does not look as if he has the respect of the players.
What a joke??
Agree1
Disagree1
Time to go Ally, yesterday was a disgrace, tactically and in the team choice, who else would have signed cribari he is so bad it is not even laughable, a brazilian who can't run, head, pass or even the occasional long range shot! before admin - out of champions league, out of europa cup, SPL 15 point lead gone! I am sorry to say it because Ally and Durrant are true Rangers men but they have to go - as a rangers fan since 1970 I remember watching John Greig as a player - and what a player! and then watching the wheels fall off as Greig the manager - this is like deja vous - some of the greatest players ever have been unable to cut it as managers - there is no shame in this - the same as some fringe players or non-players at all are very good managers, face the facts we have had some shocking performances in Div 3 this season don't let us be fooled by the points lead or the win over Motherwell, this is a full time professional squad with all facilities of a top club at hand, and better wages than the rest of Scotland with the obvious exception! It is just not good enough - the fans and investors deserve more, time for change.

What radio pundit's was that, can't be big Derek no matter how Rangers play he alway's stick's up for Ally, must be Dalziel.

Thought I was the only one who didn't want him to take over from Watty, (his tactics were bad enough) but Ally hasn't a clue (as for Durrant he's milked the club long enough time to go lads).
For Ally to say cups aren't important (ARE ALL YOUR CUP MEDALS UNIMPORTANT ALLY?)Are european tourneys unimportant too. Ally that's 7 yes 7 cups youve got us dumped out of.
We, ve got to put SPL clubs back in their place an Ally is incapable of getting the never say die attitude out of these highly paid chancers.
Send for Ray Wilkins or Ronald De Boer (he owes us big time after ducking big games through injury)
Frank De Boers doing a good job with young boys at Ajax.
Ally WE WANT TO WIN EVERYTHING WE ENTER, don't YOU?
Come on Mr Green SACK Ally for the benefit of your investment and the respect of our club.

Ally not doing radio interviews but gave interview to one guy who relayed what he said. D in players and manner of goals, cups not important, only league important. .
Basically saying were a third div team, disappointed
Believable51
Unbelievable17
Regardless of what some gers fans say that performance today along with a good few others this season, confirm gers ARE a third division team playing for what should be a premier club! Professional training facilities, full time player status, huge fan base but a substandard management team and a off the wall CEO who are failing badly! You could question even the medium term strategy never mind the long term. if there is one!
Agree3
Disagree0
If the cups aren't important then why didn't McCoist tell the fans not to bother turning up to any of the cup games this season? Why did the club even bother entering them then? If that's the attitude then it's clear he shouldn't be managing any team let alone Rangers. Do us all a favour Ally and walk away
Agree1

Ian Black should never be allowed 2 play for Rangers again. guys a complete waste of space who thinks he can stroll about doing nothing, apart from throwing his arms about. When was the last time people came away from a game talking about him playing well?

Sore loser ally no interview?
Did you really think you would beat Dundee united with that shambolic team?
Emilsin cribari wtf!

We won't get back to the top as long as McCoist is manager. Let's just hope he goes sooner rather than later. Never mind 9 in a row it could be any amount in a row for Celtic if McCoist is in charge
