Not sure about Ryan jack, just hope he is back to the kind of played he was, been told Carroll has been looked at several times, not usually one too gossip but it's from a rangers employee so thought I'd let everyone know.

I'd see Carroll being a direct replacement for Davis - quite similar in how they play. Any time I've seen him he's always been very tidy with the ball.

Steven Davis was outstanding last year and I donâ€™t know why heâ€™s now being written off. Yeah manage his game time but Iâ€™d be playing him every game I could. His link up play and tenacity is badly missed in our team. Lundstrum has improved but he drops in far too deep and it damages our midfield with the way we pass and move, heâ€™s isolated and gaps too big from the rest of our midfielders.

Is that the Tom Carroll whose team are halfway down the English third division? A replacement for Jack or Davis? Surely not.

Surely we should be looking at Stephen Kelly to be a regular feature in the first team instead of Carroll.
I have said it before but Davis is virtually irreplaceable.

Please no more of this. We are saturated with mediocre players plucked from lower divisions. If we are to progress we must be looking at a higher calibre of player, which I'm well aware costs money. But that is the bottom line, progression costs.

Tom Carroll at almost 30 years of age and playing in the 3rd tier of English football is not what we need. If I was Stephen Kelly I'd be asking for a move. It's becoming clear he has no chance of breaking through. Lundstram has improved and has shown a bit of consistency without being outstanding but when we were trying to chase the game against Aberdeen he was still just slowing the game down. There are games where that is invaluable and Lundstram will be good for us in those games but we need a dynamic midfielder who looks to start attacks quickly and then squeeze the game up to support our forwards. Our defence and midfield play about 10 yards apart and then there is a huge gap to our forward 3.
