Hanley only seems like a good option as we are so weak at the back currently but I think we can do better and look for better than a fairly average player - let's be honest yes he will win some headers and yes he has dig and yes he is an improvement on some of our CBs but for me he lacks quality and would have been a costly bang average player with almost zero sell on value - get a young ball winning pacy monster of a CB in from one of the leagues globally and develop him into a player with huge sell on potential - and if we cast the net wide we can definitely scout players with those stats ??????.

think it is down to the subjective interpretation of excessive force or brutality. Gallagher says he thought the Aberdeen player was trying to slow down as he entered the tackle hence hwy the referee may have thought it didn't meet the definition. I always look at would I agree that one of our players should be sent of if committing the same and I would answer no to that/ so I think a booking was fair and VAR didn't intervene as no clear and obvious error.

Will have a bit of an impact on current squads when our youth system is realigned, we'll probably see an influx of higher standard youth from abroad come in, but aim is for those to raise the levels of the next batch of 'home grown' talent coming through.
Changes are being a little skewed in the media - obviously - but I'm sure more official info will be released in due course.
