Club 1872 have on YouTube put on the meeting held with Dave King who has said many interesting things about the club for me the biggest being that members of the board have grave concerns over the way Douglas Park runs the club and how he makes decisions often without consulting the full board and that board members are basically scared to confront park! Also. king said SG was made promises that were broken and he SG was effectively driven out now I know King has some problems but I tend to believe him he also said RW wasn't being backed fully.

What ever he says true or not will come out over due course in the way Beale gets backed or not and what is acceptable and not acceptable will be there for all of to see
We either build for the future with long term proper investment or we see the same old half hearted signings which we have seen in the last few windows going for players with that are injury prone and taking gambles on them and hoping for the best

Or Beale is backed in doing the proper overhaul that’s needed if we want to become the force of old and competing at the top level
scouting needs to be better and the standard of player needs to be higher
Celtic have shown it can be done singling out the correct markets for players who can make differences to your first team - instant impacts in strenghing the first team

it is goi g to take a good volume of investment and I hope Beale will get it to do the actual job if not we can carry on paying off managers and replacing managers because there not being backed to make changes that we desperately need
Ross Wilson needs to be able to attract a better calibre whether he needs more money or he needs to open his horizons or both

time will tell.

Aye, and King is is a Saint in everything he touches?
For a man that supposedly has Rangers best interests at heart, he doesn’t half like stirring the rubbish.

One Walter I’m really interested re members off board have concerns re park, why do they all vote for park, I’m confused

I’m very surprised alistair Johnson’s, wolthardt. Leatham taylor halstead all multi millionaires are scared or allow park to make decisions without them.

7.) 04 Dec 2022

John, is Alistair Johnson not just a non executive member of board, don’t know about others.

8.) 04 Dec 2022

Spot on, John, men of this calibre would never be afraid to confront Park or to vote against him if they wished. Doesn't matter what type of board member they are, they would certainly have their say.

I'm not King's greatest fan but on this one I am onside with him. I don't like the fact that Park's son was clearly manipulated on to the Board albeit as a Non Exec. although I can understand why Parks Sent might not want him anywhere near the family Business.
As for Douglas Parks there are too many questions for me relating to Court Cases that really should have been avoided. I am not sure that it has ever been clarified exactly what the Sponsorship value is to Rangers of the relationship with Parks Motor Business that stopped the SPFL Cinch Deal. The Australia Cup Fiasco was an embarrassment. Personally I would have thought that the Club would have gauged the views of the Fanbase better before agreeing it and if the tournament was to go ahead with our involvement then an agreement should have been in place in advance of any deal being signed to ensure that we weren't playing second fiddle to that mob in the East End!
Bottom line for me, we need investment, we need better quality players brought in and we need a more charismatic Chairman. There are other Investors with deeper pockets than Parks that are also more charismatic.

John King gave Barry Scott as an example of a board member who spoke up but was effectively kicked off as a result but the video is available on YouTube I'd suggest if your int go have a look.

Agreed tavson, let’s wait and see how the voting goes.

John, thought Park and Bennet were executive directors. Regardless agree with you on AJ, good man, very qualified and great supporter.

Wasn’t Dave king part of the board when they tried to set up and American old firm game.

How were we playing second fiddle to them just because ange is Australian? Av got family in Australia who are big rangers fans and we’re gutted they couldn’t get to see rangers play Celtic down under. We’ve got a huge following over there.

18.) 05 Dec 2022
05 Dec 2022 00:03:39
John, you can't have a board full of non executives. The top man in an organisation is an executive. Non executive's are there to advise the board hence why Park can make decisions without consulting the non executive directors.

19.) 05 Dec 2022

Bassey, the way that the Australia Tournament was being Marketed and advertised was that it was 'Ange's Homecoming' and additionally they were referring to the game between us and them as an 'Old Firm Game', even though that lot in the East End do not like this term these days. By the mere fact that they were emphasising the Celtic manager suggests to em that we were playing second fiddle.
I did not. say that I was againsus playing in Australia, in deed given the financial benefits I would have been very supportive. What I was saying was that before any Agreement was signed we should have ensured that at the very least we had equal billing.

Non Exec Directors are extremely important to an organisation as they are expected to challenge any Governance Breaches or potential breeches and be a solid Independent Voice. It is for that reason that I find it difficult to accept Parks Jnr., being a Non Exec Director.

Good non Exec Directors generally are very good at seeing the big picture strategy which in turn should bring fresh thinking and insight and fresh skills in the Business that the Executive Directors or Business manager may lack.

These are attributes that some of our Non execs will most definitely have as will some of our significant shareholders that are not currently on the Board.

One thing that would be interesting to note is what we pay our Non Execs.

As Boardroom shuffle might not be a bad thing as it would surely bring some new ideas and objectively a more Dynamic less autocratic Chairman. Who knows, they might decide that it would actually be a good thing to communicate with the support!

m alpine i think i know that. we have a chairman and a vice chairman and four non executive directors.

05 Dec 2022 08:57:48
I don't know who King's right hand man is but King was answering questions put by other shareholders he also said in private conversation hebadv8sed park ñot to become chairman as king thought he park didn't have the temperament and within 1 hour of that chat King was told he couldn't put his farewell address to fans on Rangers TV. Small I know but shows how park operates.

23.) 05 Dec 2022
05 Dec 2022 10:25:07
Correct John. When it comes to important votes at board level how does it work? Is it only Park that has vote or only Park and Bennet? I’m assuming role of the the non executive directors is to advise and provide a wider perspective without constraints of executive responsibility.

24.) 05 Dec 2022
05 Dec 2022 10:49:52
King is correct, Park does not have the temperament or communication skills to be an effective Chairman at Ibrox. Good man but not a leader.

25.) 05 Dec 2022
05 Dec 2022 14:12:38
Yet in past king votes for park, I assume he won’t tomorrow.

26.) 05 Dec 2022
05 Dec 2022 17:22:20
The ordinary business for tomorrow has only 3 people up for reappointment, DOUGLAS PARK, JULIAN WALHADRT and GEORGE TAYLOR, 3 directors of rangers.

27.) 05 Dec 2022
05 Dec 2022 19:56:09
Dave King will not vote to reappoint Park at agm also hope relevant questions get asked tomorrow like do the board have the funds needed to invest and will the board engage with any1 serious if they want to invest in our club.

28.) 05 Dec 2022
05 Dec 2022 22:42:20
I bow humbly to dave king but I would never believe for a Nano second that SG had any second thoughts about going to villa.
I believe nothing would have stopped him . Mcallister connection was to strong as well.
