RE my comments below : I agree 100% these songs should not be sung at football matches, but only in the u.k is it deemed political and ok to sing songs glorifying people who fought against the British and the British establishment yet its offensive & sectarian to sing songs that condem the same people .

{Ed001's Note - don't talk crap, you are ignorant as hell if you stupidly think that is true. Have you ever been to Spain and listened to the songs the Basques sing? Or the Catalans? In fact you could find the same in just about every country in the world. Typical pig ignorant excuse trying to excuse the foulness of the songs you have sung in the past.}

the day I stop singing the songs is the day celtic no longer get away with mocking the fallen/Britain/rangers etc.

the songs shouldn't be acceptable in society, but there is an unfair bias situation going on. it needs fixed on both sides.

{Ed001's Note - point proven, too busy whining about others and building up bitterness instead of growing up and being adult about it and fixing your own problems. You are the main reason this kind of idiocy is still going on. You are the problem. You are the issue.}

Ibrox is a football stadium, Rangers are a football team, there is no place in football or society for these songs they have nothing to do with Glasgow Rangers, We have enough great songs that can be sung at matches glorifying Rangers, not bigotry or sectarianism, them days should be left in the past, Rangers fc have been under the spotlight more than any other club in European football these last few years, and we will be all over the media in the next coming weeks, we really really don't need anymore negative publicity, It makes me proud to be Ranger when People in Holland are amazed for what we did for one of their own(fernando) or Chinese newspapers reporting on record crowds( div3), we can be respected around the world for stories like that, and then some numpties just ruin it by singing songs about battles in the past that they probably don't even understand, There's a clip on you tube Amazing penny arcade, sung against Celtic a few years ago every time I watch it I get Goosebumps, that's the atmosphere I and many thousands of others want at Ibrox.

Not interested in Spain but u tend to prove my point we get condemned and others get away with it for being "political"

{Ed001's Note - how am I proving your point? Are you being deliberately obtuse? It completely disproves it by showing how ignorant you are! Or do you think if the Madridistas sang about slaughtering the Basques and Catalans it would be acceptable??}

On fire today Ed and 100% correct!

at 1. Who cares what celtic fans sing, what reason does that give brain dead people and am going to have to say this, brain dead people like you, to sing sick pointless songs aimed at something that has zero connection with rangers fc.

We all talk big talk on sites, but we have all stood next to someone at the games who has shouted something disgusting about a race or religion, but do we tell the stewards? do we tell the police? Its time for us to stand up for our club when we see this. We have our part to play in the rebuilding of this great club and I think this is one of them. let's not scare ourselves by our own hand. Point them out and get them banned, if DK gets in charge then fans groups should pressure him into action against the idiots.

6.) 23 Feb 2015
Stop all conflict ban all fans from the stadiums lol! There's no atmosphere at ibrox anyway.

7.) 23 Feb 2015
Ed totally agree with what you are saying -

There is no place in society for chanting sectarian / bigotted / racist / or anti - religious slogans.

Would you do it at work?
Would you do it in a bank?
Would you do it in a shop?

Singing songs of hatred in the guise of football chants harms your club - it should stop now.
Those who point the finger at Celtic and others for doing the same are totally wrong. It should not matter who else is doing it, but it should not be done by you or yours. At Rangers everyone gets involved when the songs are sung, everyone - this should stop - NOW!
Once we have stopped our silly singing then we can point the finger of blame onto others because we have stopped doing it.
What I think Rangers as a club should be doing is to change the words of the songs so that they can still be song but without the hatefilled words.

{Ed001's Note - well said.}

It certainly wouldn't be ok but again it proves all over europe certain elements sing these sort of songs and Rangers appear to be the only club that's highlighted in the media and punished for it. You are trying to portray me as sectarian I'm far from it it just annoys me one rule for us and one rule for others.

Rf an onlyshowaround yous are the fans we don't need at our club it doesn't matter about celtic forget celtic it's us an being Rangers fans though I wouldn't call you Rangers fans I would call you uneducated morons if you think it's ok to sing those songs
What age are you? They sings songs so am singing my songs grow the hell up

10.) 23 Feb 2015
How can we claim to be a better club, when we are still playing in the mud.

The east sing songs so what. Let them show there true selves.

And ed this we are victim cards that these so called fans keep chiming on about makes me sick.

{Ed039's Note - I agree, I dont see the point in it whatsoever, we will continue to be "victims" of critisism from others until such a time as the element of fans that plague the Rangers support either grow up or ship out ........ and before anybody says anything i use the word "victims" in the loosest possible terms)

Once again I totally abhor these sort of songs being sung in stadiums, but everyone is missing the point sure its alright to say let them sing what they want as long as we don't spew this sort of bile yet they still don't get pulled up all I'm asking is for a fair sense of justice you can hear there songs every week. on t.v live or highlights and it seems to be us that when an element of our support do it its highlighted why?, when does it become sectarian and not political? I remember on forums like this a few year back we used to ask someone from Ibrox to stand up for our fans over these sectarian rows and now we just say ah let them do it as long as we don't .

What it sounds like is they do it, why can't we.

Let me explain something rf this whole thing about people on their side, no one on ours side s###e urks me. The thing is
When we mature we see there is no such thing as sides just EXCUSES.

Why can't we set the example.

The bottom line is we are in a bad situation, and these t##t fans are making it worse. How can we ask for change and are not willing to do the same.

13.) 23 Feb 2015
Rf singing these songs IS sectarian.while I agree these songs were the norm it is now time to stop.have you ever wondered why we are never welcome in Spain and Italy.these country's are Catholic countrys and we were portrayed as a catholic hating club.do you not feel embarrassed when we have had umpteen Roman cathoilics proud to pull on the blue jersey and here their own fans sing those songs.while I agree that dignity fc seem to get away with it in this country that should not deter us from ridding ourselves of our horrible baggage.i am dreading Friday as I fear the brigade will be out in force and I urge the police to take a firmer stance.

Spot on bigcol not in our name so please get to eff out of Ibrox. Our re-start offered to such hope and optimism for bright new exciting future and all we got was the same old same old.
No faith in youth, try and buy success. useless governance. our worst ever manager and players and the worst of our support becoming louder and even more vile. Still where there is life there is hope. let's hope the EGM brings change all round.
