Alfredo has apparently agreed terms with lille and the two clubs are now in negotiations over a price, what would we be looking for in terms of a realistic fee fellow bears?

Onewalter if you are right we have sold ourselves woefully short again. who are we going to get that can score 3o a season for less that 10M plus a second as the additional striker Gerrard already said he needs.

Geesadodothat, we don't need to get someone who will score as many goals as Alfie, we just need to have more goal scorers within the team as a whole, yes, any replacement would need to score at least 20+ goals. No one is bigger than the Club guys, we've lost better players over many years and replaced them.

Hate to say it but I can see £10 million from Lille at most, French clubs notorious for low value offers - exception PSG and Marseille in their heyday.

Reading in French news that they're offering 16 million euro. Remember we bought Alfie for 1 million, so I don't get how people are saying we need to spend more than ten million for a decent striker. He got 30 last season for a million pound player. Aribo was more or less free and has already scored more than Alfie. Hagi was 3 million and has scored more than Alfie. Barjonas has scored more than Alfie. Defoe. Kent. Five players for less than 11 million, who have scored. Life will go on. i do think though that Alfie will get better and better out of our league. Everyone apart from us hates him and refs just love booking him. Wish him all the best, but let's focus on doing in the sheep. Barker, I'm surprised to say, is lookin decent. Arfield and Stewart can also be a goal threat. We do need a central striker though. Sure that plans and a deal have already been made. Bad timing though. Our leagues starting before other leagues transfer windows have even opened. This is our title winning year.
