Seen big boss Walter around the place recently. No wonder we've been good since the start. The cavalry has arrived to point out Stevie and co's past mistakes. Walter Smith doesn't just show up at training for the last few days, just to pass the time of day. He's having input and by looking at what's going on, Stevie is man enough now to accept his mistakes and is trying to improve and change. The RFC board is pushing out the boat this season to give us 55. There is no alternative. We will win.

1.) 28 Aug 2020 21:42:43
Smith has had no in put at all.

2.) 28 Aug 2020 22:13:46
KJA9 - prove that statement. How do you know? Always badgering people who post. Give it a break.

3.) 28 Aug 2020 22:20:59
Pure fantasy.

4.) 28 Aug 2020 22:30:01
if we were going to let sir Walter dictate how things were going to be done, he'd be back in his brown brogues. Let him enjoy his retirement, he's earned it.

5.) 28 Aug 2020 22:33:05
I’d be surprised if that was his motive and no manager would put up with someone brought in to point his mistakes out. it’s only a good thing for our club tho if Legends like him are around and I’m sure SG enjoys and listens during the convos. Can’t get enough legends like Mr Smith around training complex and Ibrox.,

6.) 28 Aug 2020 22:50:01
SG admitted at the start he'd talk to Walter. Who wouldn't?

Consulting and chatting with a club legend is a completely different thing to Walter being the coach behind the scenes.

7.) 28 Aug 2020 22:50:56
I'm quite sure Gerrard has had input and advice from smith and many others in the game. Maybe not during training sessions though to be fair👍.

8.) 28 Aug 2020 23:00:10
You hear in interviews with managers all the time that they speak with other managers, ex managers/ team mates etc. i'm sure Walter and others will talk to Gerrard, offer advice but not formally and not bluntly to point out his mistakes.

9.) 28 Aug 2020 23:15:55
100% gerrard and coaching staff will have been happy to have sir walter on the training pitch and steven gerrard has stated before he picks sir walters brains on football what footballw man wouldnt.

10.) 29 Aug 2020 00:20:23
Didn't say anywhere that Walter was a behind the scenes coach. To the doubters, kja, Snell, sir Walter, etc. look at today's training photos released by RFC. Uploaded by RFC. On RFC official website. Walter is there beside stevie. Training pitch. Today. Photographs of them. Together. Players close by. If it's fantasy and he has no input, why is he there? Just to pass the time of day? He's just there to look at the grass and pissy clouds and not pass comment on anything? I'm just an old retired successful RFC manager with no helpful suggestions whatsoever because I'm retired. Any help to win the league is imperative. He can say anything he likes to Stevie because he has earned the right. Anyhoo, the whiners on here don't bother me. its all keyboard banter. I can take a pisstake.

11.) 29 Aug 2020 01:20:10
Im 57 in the building trade for 40 years and still learning even more from older people

The old saying "The day when you know everything is the day you die"

12.) 29 Aug 2020 07:33:38
Who cares? He either gives advice or he doesn’t.

Either way, it’s not really something to get all excited about on here.

This I’m right your wrong, my dads bigger than your dad just gives the Celtic fans ammunition to say that our fans are thinker than theirs.

13.) 29 Aug 2020 09:11:25
Well if any of you listen to Stevie G. He has stated many times that he has phoned Walter for advice etc throughout his time as manager so he must be lieing eh. Its isn't an official capacity or anything its simply advice. and let's be honest he would be silly not to ask this legend for advice.

14.) 29 Aug 2020 09:24:58
Correct Kri55. SG recognises Sir Water as source of immense experience and wisdom to tap into. Sir Walter loves the club, brings no ego and is available for a quiet word of advice if called on. Absolutely love pic of SG and Sir Water together.

15.) 29 Aug 2020 09:53:30
Lets hope when we win the league this year we can ask Sir Walter to do the trophy presentation or the flag unfurling!

16.) 29 Aug 2020 10:13:31
Walter has seen and done it over the years. Stevie is a very smart and knowledgeable young manager who is driven and, in his own words, not averse to consulting the old fox from time to time. Put two and two together. Not saying Walter is picking the team or anything as ludicrous as that, but obviously Stevie gets some very useful pointers from time to time.

17.) 29 Aug 2020 10:51:41
I think there is a bit of truth in there somewhere of course SG would listen to WS of course he’d listen but each manager has his own ways of managing and to say SG has accepted his mistakes and WS is there to correct them is wrong in so many fronts, if that was the case WS would day be the manager he would take responsibility for his decisions and I can’t see SG allowing someone else’s ideas to be used on his team and rightly so can we not accept that WS can walk in and out of our training ground as he pleases he is a legend of our club and while he is there they will chat and SG will listen and if they both agree the advice may be used but to say he’s there to point out SGs mistakes is wrong.

18.) 29 Aug 2020 11:51:08
Everyday is a school day 🔴⚪️🔵.

19.) 29 Aug 2020 13:44:05
Baz . u don’t know he has, so now you badger ka. As I try to say on here many times people should try respect opinions or as all just closing site down.

20.) 29 Aug 2020 16:18:44
That was a long debate on nothing then, he’s been talking occasionally with Walter for 3 years,

21.) 29 Aug 2020 17:11:11
seriously, if you have met walter while talking to sandy jardine, class does operate that way.

22.) 29 Aug 2020 23:29:30
It was leaked last week that walter comes into training to talk to the players about what rangers means, this season in particular and that the players are "terrified" of him. No tactical input, just motivation.

23.) 02 Sep 2020 12:32:49
Having Sir Walter around the club has to be nothing but a positive thing. He got the best out of every player in his teams. Players would run through brick walls for him.

17 Jun 2020 15:30:00
Wrote to castore about the kit. The symbol should be embroidered. I was mistaking it with the training kit. I can admit when I'm wrong.

Alfie might be off to Arab country and Tav off to England. Say we get 22 million for the two. To keep everyone happy we could get dykes, cosgrove, shankland and kamberi for say 5 million. What a selection to have. Then spend 8 million on two mids and 8 million on two defenders. We need something different. Kent and hagi should come good. Jack as captain and hladky v McGregor for goalie. Mccrories back and docherty as subs.

Rossco3001

1.) 17 Jun 2020 15:40:19
Rossco then we will be broke. You’re sums seem to forget wages.
In case u have not noticed any euro qualifiers behind closed doors. That’s three million hole in budget. Then who knows if crowds allowed in if we get to group stages.

2.) 17 Jun 2020 15:45:55
Do you know if we'll be due any money after this season's Europa League is finally finished next season John?

3.) 17 Jun 2020 15:50:48
Sorry mate but that selection is awful 🤣.

4.) 17 Jun 2020 16:03:49
If morelos goes i fear the worst if that's are choice of strikers.

5.) 17 Jun 2020 17:13:54
You must have the lowest set of standards I’ve ever seen. Utter dross those players you’ve suggested.

6.) 17 Jun 2020 17:22:14
Roscoe if Morelos goes I’d like to be a bit more ambitious with replacing him. buya turey would be on my list among others.

7.) 17 Jun 2020 17:33:28
Mr grumpy not sure when they pay out, if they have paid up to date.
But over the season not counting gate money we have earned significant prize money.
Also when we got out off group stages we receive payments for TV games against braga and Leverkusen
Last year clubs across Europe received prize money at end of June.
If u want me to work out approximately what we received per round I will.
Uefa europa league web site details prize money very well.
It’s always a good read and curs out all the guesswork on here
Gate money which we have already collected was around
Eleven million, from nine home ties
And before a certain other jumps in we have to pay outgoings, I know that, that is not the question.
Ball park using sfa formula they amount to about 20% of income.

8.) 17 Jun 2020 17:36:33
Totally agree Bathgate. Every player signed has to be better than what we had.

9.) 17 Jun 2020 17:40:15
If we get rid of fredo then we need much better than cosgrove (just a big lump) kamberi (not good enough)
Dykes absolutely no chance is he good enough to play for rangers ever.

We will need to hope they had the scouts out before the season it’s over because none of those 3 are good enough to be no1 striker.

10.) 17 Jun 2020 17:47:38
No disrespect to Dykes and Cosgrove but we should be aiming our sights higher.

11.) 17 Jun 2020 17:52:01
Absolutely correct kJ I think Taylor also not good enough to be number one.

12.) 17 Jun 2020 17:55:55
We should be getting about 2million from spfl, second place and the rest from euro run.10 million or something. We aren't in the hole. Look at our prizes that we're owed. We haven't even finished our run in Europe yet!

Fods, halliday, flanagan, Alnwick are already gone. Rossiter too, who was on at least 10k a week. We're already saving a good amount on wages. Yes the 4 strikers I mentioned are awful as some say, but then others on here bang on about signing them. They're not my standards. We all want mbappe or messi, but remember where we play. What is our standard in scotland? Our league is more or less 6 professional teams v pub teams. With all the bad news surrounding our club and the spfl, which good players would honestly want to come to scotland? Who was Morelos before he signed for us? Kris Boyd? Some get better here. Others fade away. Hagi wasn't even selected in genk, then comes here and destroys Braga. We all want the best, but we take who's available in our budget. Remember we're a business.

13.) 17 Jun 2020 18:08:44
And AGAIN the opening post wants to sell players off on the cheap.
English 3rd division players noone has heard of are being priced at 15mill+
Get a grip man.

14.) 17 Jun 2020 18:00:06
If there's a 2nd wave there won't be football for 6 months at least.

15.) 17 Jun 2020 18:35:10
The 2 of them are at least 27-30 mil. Tav might not be the best defender but neither are most full backs down there.

16.) 17 Jun 2020 19:21:47
So we would have Defoe, kamberi, cosgrove, dykes, shankland all looking for a start in what is most likely going to be a 433 formation with one striker? 🤣 if we sell morelos, bring in kamberi on the cheap and spend 5-10m on a quality striker. Give us options that way and 150k (ish) for kamberi is a bargain given he looked better than morelos for tail end of season.

17.) 17 Jun 2020 19:30:23
Kamberi for £150,000 would be Ok and I quality striker who can score goals at European level, given that we expect to be in Europe every year. We have enough fringe players picking up money for nothing.

18.) 17 Jun 2020 20:16:40
Why sell top goalscorer and replace him with 4 players in the same position who aren't anywhere near as good, dykes and kamberi would be good squad signings but a direct replacement for morellos would be a minimum requirement.

19.) 17 Jun 2020 22:08:00
I’ve just read an article saying that we’re to receive over 2 million from the incomplete season and around 20 + million from Europa league run.

20.) 18 Jun 2020 00:42:49
20 million+. this money is still not good enough for some on this site. All negative. It seems as if morelos is a god and if he goes we're doomed. He's the most important player. Who was he before he joined? A no-one. 2k a week first year and now on 30k+ a week. Red cards and all. Are we all thanking caixinha for bringing him here? No. He's a good player, but I'd rather reinvest the profit he brings in. Everyone forgets when he's let us down. Yes he bangs in the goals, but a player isn't bigger than a club. Look at Beckham and Alex. F. It seems that if Alfie goes we're Fu**ed. Get yer head out the arse. There's a million players out there available. A bad attitude shows and I've seen it many times watching him pitch side. If he's not sold, I hope he comes back better with a more professional attitude. I'm sick of watching us play 10 v 11 against shi#* teams due to Alfie's behaviour.

21.) 18 Jun 2020 13:31:47
Love Morelos as much as the next man, but it’s probably the right time to move him on if a good fee comes in, replacement sights should be set higher than the names mentioned, however I do expect Gerrard to be looking at big physical guys, he knows it’s needed as an option up here, if he goes expect that guy to be Toney or similar costly alternative if he stays I expect it to be an impact guy like dykes etc.

22.) 20 Jun 2020 17:15:00
A think Rangers need a bit of steel on the park, think Kenny McLean would be a really good signing him being a massive Rangers fan aswel, and looks as tho Norwich will be relegated.

07 May 2020 22:37:44
Man o man. There's nothing incriminating whatsoever. It's just page after page of supposed incompetence of the spfl. That's not corruption. It's not coercion. We were all led to believe that we had bang on proof against N.D and Mckenzie. Unless we pull something from our arse linking them directly to wrongdoing, we're in trouble. A few pieces of limited info here and there relating to TV deals and liability isn't enough.

Voting interference is a problem, but the staff shortage has that covered. From what I see, there is nothing. Just questions. No real proof relating any one person to any one crime. If we have wassap messages or financial records, then we might have something. At the mo, it's all Bs. It's embarrassing. 1 month to accuse spfl with no proof. Some evidence must have been kept secret from us until the meeting next week. Let's hope. If not RFC will lose all respect from so many people and the p**s taking will go on for years. It's not looking good. Fingers crossed for new evidence.

Rossco3001

1.) 08 May 2020 08:13:48
The whole exercise is to win the votes of the clubs so we can get an inquiry . It wasn’t designed to bring the spfl down . Hopefully the inquiry will do that . or if no inquiry. our next move
There was a lot of damming accusations in that doc . and if they are not true . you would think the spfl would be screaming legals from the rooftops . but they are not and seem more concerned about influencing joe public rather than addressing the content .
Let’s wait and see.

2.) 08 May 2020 08:22:11
Doncaster was told by 2 clubs that there was an attempt to bully them into changing they're vote. Doncaster didn't tell the SPFL board about it and didn't do anything about it.
Surely not pointing out the ramifications that might occur if the season was finished early (liabilities regarding the TV deals and sponsorship)
Telling uefa that the majority of clubs wanted the league's finished before anyone has voted?
I thought there was plenty of questions in the dossier for the SPFL and especially Doncaster to answer.

3.) 08 May 2020 10:14:34
For me the evidence is not exactly mind blowing. yes incompetence is evident but not to the level our board were shouting about. I'm dissapointed and quite embarrassed by this as a rangets fan.

4.) 08 May 2020 10:52:31
Rossco, i don't agree with you, our gripe is the s.p.f.l. Told the clubs the good side of finishing league early, they never told them the bad side, that outweighs the goodside, but this is only us trying to get an inquiry opened, its the stuff we have not mentioned that's the good part.

5.) 08 May 2020 10:53:46
So voting interference is covered in the uk by staff shortages? mmm.

6.) 08 May 2020 11:06:22
considering their rebuttal was found quicker than the missing vote. yes.

7.) 08 May 2020 12:23:24
Doncaster was quick out the blocks, last weekend doing interviews all over the place, where is he today with answers to the accusations Not a peep. No McClellan self answer session either, no Alloa/ Dunfermline Chairman denials today.
All quiet, because they are all corrupt and all Rangers haters.

8.) 08 May 2020 19:07:05
The SFL had already contacted UEFA 10 days before the vote to me that's corruption. They have withheld information about possible financial liabilities involved with the tv deal should season finish early to the sum of 10mil which to me is misconduct. They stated they were unable to pay out prize money until season ends but withheld the fact member clubs could receive interest free loans which could have been payable when prize money issued. They announced vote results prior to the final votes being cast again corruption. Dundee have since had financial sponsorship from a company who don't have the finances to cover it, in other words it's a pay off for the yes vote. At the very least we have provided enough for an independent investigation.

9.) 09 May 2020 02:53:11
Bhl83.the letter to UEFA meant absolutely nothing, and the outcome of the vote backed what said. The only thing rangers could argue for poor governance is that there are too few non-executive directors on the board, affecting the independence. Nothing else.

10.) 09 May 2020 08:33:39
Bellshilad there's a heap of reasos why this inquiry should happen, but this lot have been running things there way for so long other clubs will fear letting there big boss down, big pete with the smelly feet, lol.

02 May 2020 15:52:30
Just reading that Tommy Wright has quit as st johnstones manager. Strange timing, is it not. A few days before evidence is produced. Maybe creating some distance for himself? Maybe just a coincidence.

Rossco3001

1.) 02 May 2020 15:57:25
I am blaming a lot of people for a lot of things on here but never once was Tommy Wright on my radar, please explain rossco.

2.) 02 May 2020 16:07:15
Folks, it's probably more to do with the Norther Ireland Managers position, just my thought on it.

3.) 02 May 2020 16:32:04
agreed IRV

norn iron post prob most likely reason behind this

anyway fair play to TW always liked him - seemed to be widely respected as a manager.

4.) 02 May 2020 17:40:14
I remember we were up at there’s this season and I think we were losing. There fans were trying to keep the ball from us and waste time and tommy went mad screaming what are you doing, give him the ball. Class.

5.) 02 May 2020 18:05:06
Good luck as potential new Northern Ireland manager, always thought he done a great job at St Johnstone couldn’t understand why he was never touted for role at Hearts or Hibs with what he done on a shoestring budget every season.

6.) 02 May 2020 19:26:32
Best manager in the SPL. Most underrated manager in the SPL. Carried out miracles in Perth with no money. I'd have happily taken him at Ibrox and he's one of us too. If he took over at Ibrox I'd say thanks Stevie and hello Tommy. And before anyone whines about 'he won't attract the players Stevie will' - tbh, Gerrard's not exactly made many blow me away signings either!

7.) 02 May 2020 21:25:43
Most ridiculous post I’ve seen in a long time. St Johnston manager resigns and you think it’s about the Rangers!

8.) 03 May 2020 11:58:19
When you say our name can you try saying The Famous Glasgow Rangers, cause you know it is all about the Famous Glasgow Rangers, something you can only dream about.

9.) 03 May 2020 12:40:28
What do we really expects from ex dhim players, and the cheek to call us obsessed, all Rangers and us fans have asked for is fairness, i am not interested if they get the title, i will deal with that, truthfully we would not have caught them, but, and it's a big but, we never got the chance to do it on the park. Stubbs using EBT'S as a smokescreen to cover up the despicable behaviour of Doncaster, MacLennan and that other donkey at the SPFL, if the top is run by crooks, we don't have a chance. So Stubbs Sutton Hartson and Walker et al, can go fxxx themselves. They are basically condoning cheating at the top of the game. Says it all really, enjoy your 8* dhims.

10.) 04 May 2020 03:12:53
Concerning tommy wright i also think its a peculiar time for him to resign, however I've no idea the reason, i'm sure we'll here in due course, a top manager who should have been at ibrox years ago, again though stevie g is still the man for me.

11.) 04 May 2020 11:31:30
Billyblackpool how can any club get fairness, if any team has a gripe with celtic fc it goes in front of a celtic supporter giving his job by dessybhoy, he has worked with him for yonks, best mates, so how can he go against his paymaster, serious question, lads.

07 Mar 2020 13:52:29
Just reading that we'll let barisic go for 25 million in the summer. Happy with that. Bring in new faces. dykes, brophy, shankland L. ferguson etc. Loads of potential in Scottish players. I remember about 20 years ago we cherry picked all the best players from rival teams and we pumped them all. Hopefully now we'll be able to get players who understand our league is and what's required.

Rossco3001

1.) 07 Mar 2020 14:27:51
Rossco, what drivel, man! I thought we were well past the discussion of bringing in players like Shankland, Brophy and the rest. Fine strategy if you want to support a mediocre team forever. Get off your knees and show some ambition for your club! 20 years ago, the season you're talking about, we signed Michael Mols, Terro Penttila, Darius Adamczuk, Thomas Myhre, Tugay and one single Scot - Billy Dodds from Dundee Utd!

2.) 07 Mar 2020 14:28:01
Would take the 25 million but would be looking to use it on 2 or 3 top quality players that are more complete. Would be hoping to bring in better than dykes, brophy and shankland. Lewis ferguson i would like to see us take a chance with. Possible replacement for kamara should he leave.

3.) 07 Mar 2020 15:26:45
Nonsense. Because Tierny went for that money doesn't mean Barasic will. He hasn't played a CL game in his entire career and like the rest of the team he has been poor since the winter break. Tierny won everything domestically and played CL football season after season. If Barasic has a good Euros then I can see us getting upwards of 10m which is a good return for a player who has only really had a good half season since he signed.

As for Brophy and Shankland, no way, not good enough. Ferguson yes 100% but i doubt Aberdeen will be easy to deal with, Dykes would be a useful player for us domestically. Need to look at quality over quantity if we have any aspirations of improving.

McCrorie has been a massive miss for us, he will be like a new signing, jury is still out on Helnader and between now and the end of the season I'd like to see what the academy has to offer. We'll have played like Stephen Kelly and McPake coming back next season with a season in the lower leagues under their belts, let's see what these boys can offer too.

4.) 07 Mar 2020 16:54:22
Wisen up mate. We would take 10 if it was offered. 25 is ridiculous.

5.) 07 Mar 2020 16:56:34
We can do well better than that dross.

6.) 07 Mar 2020 20:11:08
Rangers value him at £22m, who came up with that figure?
We need to sell in order to build anyway. If we get offered double figures for him, we should take it.

7.) 07 Mar 2020 20:56:19
Barisic has been non existent since December. Infact he has been non existent for about a year and a half at Rangers. Had a purple patch of about 10 or so weeks. The guy is a hide and seek champion. He wouldve bet Linford Christie of the park after that Hamilton game. We need fighters at Rangers and Barisic and about another 7 or 8 first team players don't have big enough Bo! ox to play for us.

8.) 07 Mar 2020 21:50:25
Barasic is as good a left back worth what ever any big team will pay 22 million is not fantasy. Shankland, Brophy, Dykes and Ferguson - some are only putting these players forward because its all they see, thank God we have a scouting department. I agree to a point that we need players that can cope with the SPL and we manged on the whole to get them in the past without raiding mediocre teams from the SPL. don't seen any of the pre mentioned as Rangers quality without risk and right now we can't afford that. We just need 11 Ronseal players and SGs drive and we have a chance.

9.) 08 Mar 2020 01:22:56
Tjbb, i think we will get the 22 million if that's the asking price, international left backs, there not many of them around. he played and assisted goals in europa, its european team that are sniffing, why not?

10.) 08 Mar 2020 08:08:00
Barasic is a Chocolate Soldier, would be fortunate to get £10 million for him.

11.) 08 Mar 2020 09:36:13
Barisic is regarded as the best left
Back by Croatia the fact is he playing for rangers does not take
Anything away from the boy's class
And proper teams will pay proper money for his services.

12.) 08 Mar 2020 09:58:47
See Barasic more of a Fiz Bomb.

13.) 08 Mar 2020 12:18:27
Barisic has been our best player all season easily. C of I against hamilton barisic put in loads of dangerous crosses but he's a full back, he csnt carry us singlehandedly. We shouldn't be accepting g any less than 12m for barisic.

14.) 08 Mar 2020 12:34:12
Barasic will be away for a figure around the 10M Mark. Deal could have been made in Jan.

15.) 08 Mar 2020 15:38:08
Croatia's left back will always be worth upwards of £15m in today's market. Forget the parochial stuff and realise that's how Barisic is seen by the rest of Europe, and that kind of money is commensurate with his standing in the game. Why do our own so-called fans continually try to do us down in the transfer market and in most other ways too? I know this is a rumours page, but it's moving from that into fantasy, stupidity, bitterness and anti-support.

16.) 08 Mar 2020 18:14:42
Agree covenanter. Would be shocking management to let him go for less than 12m imo.

17.) 09 Mar 2020 08:13:47
He cost £2.2m and valuation is apparently £22m basically 10 x what we paid. We would have took £2.2m this time last summer no way has he improved that much. I get that he’s a Croatia international and has decent assists stats but if we were offered £10m I’d be very surprised if we rejected it unless he has a stunning Euros.
Sick of hearing Tierney went for £25m or that there’s loads of money down there so we should demand more it’s a player by player basis if anything Tierneys lack of playing time or real impact would have a detrimental effect on value of players coming from SPFL to BPL.

Can't believe the rubbish surrounding Kent, saying that we can't match his wage demands and he's pushing for a move back to England. Utter rubbish. Scottish papers are only good for a fish supper or fried pizza. He's happy up here and his girlfriend finishes her courses soon, so I've been told. He's going nowhere yet. He'll score tomorrow. Bloody better. Got a tenner on for him and arfield. Also maradona dying. Sad, but drink and drugs over so many years. Could have instead, used the millions spent on coke, trying to help people instead. No sympathy. Wasted talent as usual. Let the haters hate me. It's the truth. Only him to blame.

Great post Rossco3001, totally with you in everything you said there mate 👍.

2.) 25 Nov 2020 20:06:04
So no sympathy what so ever when gazza passes away either then? Cause he's been exactly the same for last 15 years. Also on kent played well v aberdeen hopefully that's him now up and running again as 5/ 6 games prev to aberdeen was like an empty jersey. go for 2-1 rangers thurs.

3.) 25 Nov 2020 21:09:51
How cruel not to have sympathy. Did you have sympathy for George Best? Anyone can become a victim of life. My wife lost a brother through drink at 60 too. There but for the grace of God.

4.) 25 Nov 2020 21:13:40
I do apologise, i agree with your post regarding kent Rossco3001 but not regarding your post on the sad death of maradona! I didn't read the bottom part of your post properly and don't agree with you there mate.
The guy had an addiction and got in too deep, which can happen to any of us, if an episode in our lives became too hard to get over!

5.) 25 Nov 2020 21:30:07
Gazzas a different boat. The drink and drug saga is endless. We've all lost people to both I'm sure. Maradona had too many millions to count so the coke buying wasn't a problem. He just wasted it. The drink is the problem. Best had liver transplants and everything, but still wasted himself. It's a massive pity. Gazzas doing the same. They are driven to destruction. Many in my family too have ended due to the drink and drugs. The difference is that they had multi millions to spend. So that's where the sympathy ends. Worth 25million and die. Sad. Give money to those who need it. Not the dealers. Wow. A massively depressing post. 55 is on the way.

6.) 25 Nov 2020 21:39:06
Worst post I have ever read in my life and completely clueless on Diego.

7.) 25 Nov 2020 22:38:39
Spot on Doiger. Being a 67 year young alcoholic myself, I am not asking or looking for sympathy or anything like that. A little bit of understanding and empathy goes a long way. The most important thing to me has been the understanding of my family, and the fact that my wife of 44 years has stood by me. No one starts out in life determined to be an alcoholic a drug addict, or whatever. Try a little bit of empathy or humility. You never know, you might actually enjoy it.

McGregor
Tav, goldson, balogun, barisic
Arfield, jack, kamara
hagi, Morelos, Kent.

I don't believe that Stevie's going to play a weakened side whatsoever v Hamilton. He's going to want to smack them around and get a lot of goal difference between us and them. I'm going for a 3-0. Kent will score on Sunday, hagi and Morelos too.

I've had a look at the Celtic pages and they're beginning to implode. The supporters really seem to dislike lawell and are really whiney about popcorn teeth. If your feeling down, have a look. It's a great read. If they struggle v Motherwell, he's in real soapy bubble. The balance is going back to where it belongs.

1.) 07 Nov 2020 11:05:02
Good side rossco, I agree we have to play a strong side, 3 points is a must👍.

2.) 07 Nov 2020 11:07:28
There's even a few of them already trying to say the ten was never that important to them now. You love to see it 😂😂.

3.) 07 Nov 2020 11:32:33
Agree don’t believe will be wholesale changes with international break coming up. Think Itten could start again on right side, did well last week at Killie &expect Hamilton to adopt similar approach.

4.) 07 Nov 2020 12:17:24
I expect Defoe and Itten might start.

5.) 07 Nov 2020 13:18:15
Did I read somewhere that Liewell was being touted for Man utd?

6.) 07 Nov 2020 13:30:11
Nothing won yet Snell but it's a good sign seeing them talk like that. Every game is a final👊.

7.) 07 Nov 2020 13:34:09
Mcgergor
Tav
Goldson
Balogun
Bassey
Jack
Aribo
Kamara
Roofe
Defoe
Kent.

8.) 07 Nov 2020 14:07:14
I'd give Tav and and Kent a rest.
Macgregor, Patterson, goldson, balogun, borna, kamara, hagi, jack, roofe, Alfie, aribo.

9.) 07 Nov 2020 16:38:07
If we are winning easily tomorrow, how about Zunga for a run out?

10.) 07 Nov 2020 20:12:13
Guys who are saying you don’t believe he plays a weakened side, I don’t believe we have a weakened side when we make 2/ 3 changes. The quality is there now to do like for like changes depending on opposition. Hagi may well be more suited to playing against Hamilton for example as we need killer passes to break them down, his inclusion wouldn’t be necessarily a weakening of the team. That’s just an example, other players like itten, roofe etc are not really weakening the side either. great position we are in being able to rotate without fear and long may it continue.

Just had a wee look. The benfica squad is valued at over 300 million quid. We're valued at 60. Looking at everything, last night was a decent result. Should have been better, but very passable v a tough champions League team.

Rossco3001

1.) 08 Nov 2020 00:07:24
Rossco, correct. It shows we r progressing significantly under SG.
Things are happening.

05 Nov 2020 19:48:57
Tell you the truth, we are lucky to get the result we did. Benfica battered us the first ten minutes and I reckon with 11 men, they would have beaten us. Last 15 minutes was boring passing, when we should have just been launching the ball up the park instead of pissy passing back and forth. Stevie should have brought on roofe or hagi for the last 15 to attack a bit more. Anyway, I'm happy enough. We should get out of the group on top. I hope.

Rossco3001

1.) 05 Nov 2020 19:56:20
They would have beaten us mate but that’s fecking criminal what happened to us the night the players should be able to see that out to be honest.

03 Nov 2020 20:13:47
Listening to Stevie is very interesting. The senior members in the rangers first team have a say in what happens in regards to the treatment of the culprits. He says that he has to consult with the senior players and ask for their input. Not since Walter Smith, have I had so much faith in this management team. The first two seasons were passable, but I believe that things will only get better from now on. As I said ages ago, Alex Ferguson won nothing in his first few years at man. u, then he went on to make them into one of the best teams ever. We can only hope. I see a 2-2 draw v the Portuguese.

Rossco3001

1.) 03 Nov 2020 20:34:37
I really liked what he had to say also. Very measured with no dirty laundry being washed in public. What happens behind the scenes I imagine is a totally different story.

I'm really starting to like the man and not just because he's our manager.

2.) 03 Nov 2020 20:50:00
Handles himself with class when interviewed regardless what’s going on. Always honest, sometimes quite damming of his own players when has to be. What I took from interview, don’t know bout u guys but I took that he might not be as quick to get rid as most of us. I feel he’s angry upset feeling let down, but, maybe a way back, for this season at least. And perhaps that’s the right thing, we don’t know what injuries suspensions or virus outbreaks lie ahead and we may need them. Hang them out to dry just now and we may need them at some point. Just what I took from it.

3.) 04 Nov 2020 03:23:20
he does indeed, but it will be the real powers behind the scenes who pay the wages who will decide if anyone is shown the door, its been kinda strange that many people only want Jones gone, even though they have no idea what happened, if both are guilty, they're both culpable, i'm surprised Rangers fans want to blame one guy and not the other.

4.) 04 Nov 2020 06:36:55
TT itbeu will not be sacked they may be sold in January but they will not be sacked.

5.) 04 Nov 2020 08:46:04
kJ you’re probably correct in that, however you’re “ ridiculous “ comment was way off the mark, because that is still a possibility, small maybe, but a possibility none the less,

6.) 04 Nov 2020 12:15:00
Gerrard and Rangers have handled it with class. 👍.

7.) 04 Nov 2020 18:41:56
SG and others have brought a real level of professionalism to our club that has not been seen for years.

None of those boys will join. It'll be a someone that's never been mentioned. that's why the papers hate us all. They just make up names an wind. RFC gives them nothing. One in before Monday hopefully. Nothing else. 4-0. I'm feeling luckier.

Gareth bale is on 400,000 a week and he's happy sitting on the bench. Real Madrid won't let him leave for free, so he's happy to turn up for training so he gets paid. Three hours training four times a week for almost 2 million a month! At least Alfie shows that he wants to play. Then again, he storms off in a huff. The money will be invested. 55.

{Ed001's Note - actually he is on 500,000 euros AFTER tax.}

My mum had lived in Spain for years and she returned to live in Harrogate because Spain went tits up. The UK government said she wasn't classed as British because she had lived out of the UK for more than ten years. They gave her nothing and she had to survive on a food bank. The UK/ English government is an absolute joke. They wouldn't give my 65 year old mother anything, plus she had no doctor or medical coverage for three months, no accomodation allowance or free transport. No housing help and universal credit would take up to six months. I've spent loads on helping food banks because I know what it means. A quid can give a kilo of pasta, instant mash, salt, sugar or so much more. The public help more than the government, that's why I'm so proud of the SNP. Independence is the best strategy.

True. It's never mentioned that they won so many titles with no real competition and they all agreed and threw us out. I'll never forget and as I said many times before, I'll never visit or spend a penny of my cash in their turncoat stadiums. Let them suffer. Celtic have competition at last and don't know how to cope. Great, stuff them all. Only one club matters to me. When we win the league this year, let it be remembered that we had Celtic as competition and it wasn't a tainted, handed out one. Only four or five of theirs was earned and won properly. Let's hope we go for ten as if next year. Onwards and upwards and one day closer.55.

Read all of the replies. I think this announcement at this time is a bad idea. Yes the fans can own some of what they love, but for the serious investors, say 50k and up, what is the business plan. Would the money have a return or is it just the prestige of having shares? What would happen if someone like Ashley, through an unknown business or partnered enterprise, buys up 5million quids worth? Dave king has had the right idea, but efforts must be in place to safeguard that the right buyers buy. What if Dermot Desmond bought some? Who is controlling the sales of shares to whom we sell? Will they be checked. Big questions. Say I invested a million quid in Celtic. I'd have say on their business dealings for example even though I'm a rangers man. Care must be taken. I'm sure the business men involved are up to date. Not like the ones who caused our downfall. Care and beware.

Not sure about this. It's great news knowing that we can buy a part of the club, but too many chiefs involved might cause problems. What if club 1872 has fifty big shareholders along with mccoist who's got about a million quids worth, then the rest of the unknowns. How can we have a meeting if there's about 500 of us. Anyhoo, three years to raise 13 million quid. Next year I might chip in a couple of grand. A small stake is better than none. I think that works out about ten thousand shares. What rights or say would I have? Would I be invited to meetings, dinners or conferences. Would I make any money from my investment? Lots of questions coming up. Was this the right time to announce it?
