I like to think we win and lose as a team.
Some weeks it's the usual suspects that get the blame - Tav, Goldson, Barisic etc.
Though it appears to be different if a Rangers Legend gets criticised by some?
There is no doubt McGregor has cost us 6 points this season:-
Hearts at home missed the flight of the ball and Hearts equalised.
Ross County away, 2 uncharacteristic fumbles cost us 2 points.
And Motherwell at home at the weekend where on both occasions he looked every day his 40 years!
But let's flip it on its head.
In those 3 games we had 81 shots at goal, with only 31 on target.
Against Hearts, Wright, Morelos, Goldson, Balogun and Roofe all missed chances.
Against Ross County, Arfield, Kent and Itten all missed chances.
Against Motherwell, Morelos, Tav, Lundstram, Arfield, Goldson and Roofe all missed chances.
Or should Gio and the management shoulder some of the blame? Better game management of McGregor considering we had games every 4 days and we have an able deputy in McLaughlin?

Good balanced post MPH. It's just unfortunate that defensive/ goalkeeping errors have combined with missed chances at the other end. How we can score four goals away to Borussia Dortmund and fail to beat Motherwell or Ross County is baffling. I'd like to see Lundstram and Jack back in midfield together tomorrow night and I have no problem with McLaughlin coming back in goal. No more slip-ups from now on. Our fate in terms of winning #56 is still in our own hands.

Yes McGregor is human and made mistakes that you have pointed out mph. Also you pointed out the obscene amount of chances squandered all of which I agree with. if you disect it even further you will find several players have caused goals against us with mistakes some are serial offenders!

Been saying for a while now MpH
Macgregor needs time on bench
Infact I said it just before the derby he needed a rest and we should have tried young Mcrorie or McLaughlin in and I was laughed at
I was being polite when I said that as I love McGregor but in all honesty he should have retired when we won the league and left in a high

Unfortunately time has caught up with him and he’s not as quick or as agile as he once was and for me it’s been plain to see all season his reaction time not the same as it was although can still pull off a top save here and there but not as frequent as he once was
I feel for him as he obviously loves playing.

performances in Europe have been fantastic on domestic lever way below what we’re capable of
Is it just players now putting themselves in the shop window in the European games and dropping off domestically?

He also saved us in old firm game yes we got beat 3-0 but if not for him it would have been 10 let’s be honest and I don’t blame him for Sunday.

Other players have let us down more than mcgregor since the winter break, aribo has been poor since coming back from afcon kamara poor all season.

No one saved is in the old firm game was still 3 points lost regardless of the score, mcgregor still is the best no1 we have but if he’s not got the concentration he has to be dropped as u said mph we have an able deputy yes we showed some fight in the 2nd half of the old firm but if that only lasts a few games what good is that, gios first few games we looked Hungary to score start to finish we need to get back to basics as the league is very much still there to be won!

Stormtrooper, the saves against Celtic were reflex and straight at the keeper. These were bread and butter saves which if they were either side of him he wouldn’t have saved. He stood rooted to the spot watching a floated cross for the third and didn’t cover himself in glory at the first. We all hold him in high esteem but his legacy is in danger here. If say, we lose the league by a couple of points will he be held in the same esteem as last season?

In Europe we play against open adventurous teams that want to play football, in Scotland we play against hammer throwers and defensive backs to the wall set ups. Still we should be a lot more switched on and organised defensively.

Mccrorie was in goal when we played Celtic before the 3-0 drubbing and he was very good. How can everyone say that Celtic would have scored more, if not for Alan. Maybe they would have scored less if we had Jon or mccrorie? Same as Ross county, Dundee United and Motherwell. If none of them get a chance, how do we know who is better? .
