2 pence in for Sakala debate. The main reason I’d sell him is because it allows us to reinvest the fee. I would rather we sold him for 5m and bought a 5m centre back than sell matondo for 1 or 2 and buy a 1 or 2m centre back.
For me he’s not good enough and I wouldn’t be upset if he went. Hard to forget the 2 misses against Celtic that cost us massively. Please don’t compare him to Kent his goal scoring is nowhere near the benchmark we should be looking at. I agree ability wise i'd rather Sakala than matondo but with what it allows is to do i'd prefer to sell Sakala.

Hard to forget the 2 misses against celtic? What about his goals against them? Morelos missed sitters galore against them, including a pen in a final as well and was a god to most of our fans.

Never getting £1-2m for Matondo mate. We likely be lucky to get someone to take his wages on fully if they loan him never mind but him aswell. This one’s going to cost us big money wise.
Agree livibear I’d sell one of 2 left backs n go for doig. Maybe try throw a player in to bring the fee (€5m) down a bit. The Italians seem to have an interest in Scottish market atm mate.

When we brought the success of 9 in a row we would have no qualms of going for the top young Scottish player. My sales pitch would be how much do you want to play in the English championship next year over European football and potentially the club world cup next year. We need boys like that. How many 21 year olds had three years of first team football and a starter at givs then have a year in seria A where you were the best player in their side. Last year when they played inter he played left midfield and lb and gave inter a torrid time. Can we afford not to sign him. European quotas mean we need Scottish players and let's face it who on here isn't routing for the next young Scottish player to bed himself into our side. Regardless of who he supports if he came to us he knows exactly what it means to play for us. The boy has grown. If he came directly from hibs he may have faded but going to italy at that age is about more than the football you play. Diet, discipline, focus/ mindset and getting away from distraction like friends and family who you do need but not at all times and whos input can be toxic. This boys a player and i'd sell players to fund it. Borna cacks himself mid game sometimes and disappears, ridvan is good but youll never be raving about him after a game and there are more questions about him doig is younger, bigger, stronger and proven in Scotland and italy so i'd sell borna and ridvan to get doig no brainer.

Why would Doig come back to Scotland unless he`s a red hot Blue Nose . He`s played here and is now playing in Italy and possibly now the EPL . Can`t see why he would consider coming back at he moment.

Livi I think if we match the valuation and wages doig would jump at chance to come to us.
The pull of everything u meantimes is more than enough to attract young Scottish players we just need to match valuation and wages.
Won’t do his international hopes any harm either.
