Story in the press that Tillman is going to Stuttgart for £6million, so after Bayern pay us our £1.6 compensation they only make £4.4 million. I thought they weedled out of our deal because they wanted more that the agreed £5million . It doesn`t make sense to me.

Its because tillman did not want to move to Scotland. You cannot force a player to move. Good deal by the club still.

Well if he didn`t want to come to us then the deal would have been off, they wouldn`t have needed to compensate us in any way. As you all say we cannot force him to come here so why did they have to pay us anything?

There are a few people on here who seem close to the club, so I thought I`d ask if anyone knows why nobody on the board has reached out to David Holmes and invited him back to the club . He was our saviour back in the late eighties until Murray forced him out . It would be a nice gesture to invite him back before its too late.

I didn`t mean invite him back to work in some capacity but the guy has not been back to Ibrox since he was forced out by Murray. He did nothing wrong he was just a victim of the takeover so it would be nice if the club acknowledged his role in our history by inviting him to a game as a VIP . I know he is 91, that was kind of my point .

Interesting to read that Leeds and Southampton are being linked with Glen Kamara . A Leeds web site reporting that he would be available for a " bargain" £5 million. Just shows that others sometimes rate our players higher than we do.

Don’t think any doubts Kamara would be a bargain at £5m if he shows up to be the player he can be. That’s the big if though and the good performances were too few and far between unfortunately in recent times.

For me he suits Leeds brilliantly
£5m and 15% sell on profit?
If he goes for £20m we would get another £2.25 m so £7.25m for a player who cost £50k not too bad atall considering the service he gave us aswell.

Watching AZ last night I noticed Bazoer come on as a sub. Commentator said he was from the Ajax academy and had been signed from Vitesse . It looks like he didn`t get his move to a bigger club than Rangers and I`m surprised that AZ were able to meet the wage demands being quoted.

OrangeT, if he is going to a mid level SPFL team who aren't much better than Dundee rather than a team that challenges for trophies and pays at a decent level in Europe it shows that he does not have the confidence in his own ability to play at a big club . He is worried that he won't be a starter? He will be if he plays well enough to deserve it.
Why would fans wanting the club to sign players that have the confidence to come in and make an impact influence players decisions to join us or not . There are demands in playing for our club and if that puts him off then, yes I do question his mentality . Of course this is IF he turns us down.

Signing a young Scottish player from another SPL club is not the same as developing our own players . Cameron has proved he can play in the SPL and would go straight into the squad, he would be ahead of the likes of Lawrence, Dowell and Matondo and competing with the others to play. Nobody gets a guaranteed start at an big club. Barron started until his form shaded, Jefte and Igamane are young players we signed and they both play regularly, if he signs he will feature . If he goes to Aberdeen maybe we should sign Mulligan who was outstanding against us and the other mob.

I haven't read the article re the B team but we must have something organised for the boys once they are over 18 . They can't all join the first team squad and hardly ever play and there is a limit in the number of loan deals clubs can do nowadays .

There is no doubt in mind the squad is worse, it has more potential in it but as things stand it is definitely worse.
At centre back both Goldson and Davies are better than Propper and the fact that they were both there gave us more options. Likewise Lundstram in midfield, Raskin is doing well but who else is there?
Cantwell has his critics but he gave us creativity and goals from midfield that we aren't getting from the likes of Bajrami and even Hagi. We also had Sima scoring goals from wide areas but also through the middle at times . Cerny has done well but is he better than Sima, its arguable.

He had a great game but let's wait to see him tested defensively before we go overboard. He was a bit impulsive in the Dundee game and made a few mistakes so at 19 that's the bit he needs to work on.
I thought he and Propper worked well together last night, they worked the ball between them until one of them had a clear pass. Propper also played a lot of forward passes, he was going longer and they didn't all find their targets but mixing it up was obviously a tactic and it worked.

I remember Gough praising Katic when he was at Ibrox, they seemed to have a bit of a bond because Katic also said he talked to Gough a lot and got advice from him.
