Why do some on here constantly put down the English Championship, it's managers, players, etc? I've seen a few comments about the Championship and the term used is "that level" like it's inferior to the SPL. I'm not judging, I respect everyone's opinion, I'm curious to understand.

Because the players down south come at a premium and in general don’t live up to the price or the wages.

There’s a difference between SPFL level, and Old Firm level. Most Championship teams would romp our league. If Rangers and Celtic were out in the English Championship tomorrow our goal would be to win it.

Verdant our goal tho may not be achievable tho lol. old firm are championship at best and I highly doubt any would go down and win it. loads of points would be dropped by both teams. let's be honest eh.

Davidb I do agree, players values in England do seem to be crazy high and have been for a while now.

Verdant, that makes sense about Old Firm being a different standard to the SPFL. I never thought about it from that point of view.

I think both teams could do well in the Championship. It would be a great challenge. It's an exciting thought.

Rangers should be looking for players capable of playing at the European level not the SPFL. Some of the Championship players are good enough and if they are good enough it doesn`t matter where they come from.

The championship in England is one of the toughest league's to get out off.

Rangers and Celtic are EPL level, as when we get the English revenue streams coupled to our huge supports we would slowly build to that level.

Championship teams are only ever going to win a second tier competition, no European football, prob no FA cup, less chance of International call ups. Whether in general the paly is better than the SPL is irrelevant its not top tier.

Rangers and Celtic are only EPL level in terms of support and fanbase BizzmyBrox. Nothing else and certainly not in terms of quality of football.

Championship players aren't up to playing for Rangers. Look at Davies, Goldson, Tavernier. But PL ones are - Butland, Arfield. Coping with PL pressure is similar to that of Rangers. Championship doesn't come close to that same pressure. Look at how Beale himself is struggling having soared with QPR.

Your right Foolmonty, but I’d love to see the Rangers in the EPL with all the money that goes with it. I know it would never happen but we can dream.
