James Bisgrove has not travelled with the squad as these guys usually do. He has stayed in Glasgow to continue the managerial hunt.

Muscat has an interview arranged for today via Zoom call.

1.) 04 Oct 2023 10:36:17
Wouldn’t we be better with a director of football in first?

2.) 04 Oct 2023 10:45:27
I for one hope this is true verdant because i'm having the fear about frank lampard taking over as he's never done anything as a manager we need to get this right because if the board hire lampard and it goes pear shaped i for one will never forgive the board they should ask the fans who they would like and i think 90% wouldn't want frank lampard near the club.

3.) 04 Oct 2023 10:56:22
My understanding is that Bisgrove is in London?

4.) 04 Oct 2023 11:06:15
I think u r correct Berkshire.

5.) 04 Oct 2023 11:11:40
Muscat having an interview today came straight from Jack Ross. He mentioned it earlier this morning. He said the source is very reliable.

It seems Muscat does want the job, and if we are interviewing him then it’s being seriously considered by the club.

6.) 04 Oct 2023 11:24:27
I have heard suggestion that if Muscat takes the managers role then craig Moore will be director of football as he previously applied have you heard anything John.

7.) 04 Oct 2023 11:26:36
It was Chris Jack who mentioned it on this mornings episode of the Rangers Review. Sorry if there was any confusion. But yeah, he did say the source was reliable. It seems Muscat is having an interview.

8.) 04 Oct 2023 11:31:32
I know Frank Lampard is a developing story as is a few others, I know one Rangers family in Conlig in NI who want him to get the job, Christine Bleakly ( his wife’s ) family are all bluenose’s ) ? . Sorry Christine hopefully not happening.

9.) 04 Oct 2023 12:28:40
Tbf to verdant he has said it would be zoom call for muscat and nothing g stopping that taking place in London.

10.) 04 Oct 2023 12:29:55
The rumours are that Frank Lampard will have a fact to face interview in London tomorrow.

Muscat being interviewed today seems pretty solid info ??.

11.) 04 Oct 2023 13:58:26
For rangers to interview Muscat or Jansen we would need permission from their clubs.

12.) 04 Oct 2023 14:14:03
I wouldn't want muscat and certainly don't want Craig Moore.

13.) 04 Oct 2023 15:05:52
John is muscats contract not up in a few weeks mate?

If so would it not fall under the same situation as a player on a Bosman? Free to speak to other clubs in final 6months.
If not I stand corrected.

14.) 04 Oct 2023 17:13:48
No it would not, bosman only applies to players.

It may be his club have no issues him talking to someone.

15.) 04 Oct 2023 17:47:06
Lampard v Rodgers only see one winner there ?.

16.) 04 Oct 2023 18:07:28
Told again today that Bisgrove is in London, came from a colleague in the City that contacts in the Market. Rumours are that he is meeting with a prospective DoF, I'm trying to get names.
I asked about Lampard but suggestion was that he would be interviewed but more as a courtesy. Only names that I have heard are the same as everyone else, Janse, Clement and Muscat.
Like me, the guys I was speaking with were surprised that McInnes was being considered, seen as a safe pair of hands but not someone that would take us forward or attract the quality of player needed.

17.) 04 Oct 2023 21:30:07
Thanks John.
I had no idea either way mate just, thought I’d ask Incase u weren’t aware his contract was due up.

18.) 05 Oct 2023 06:30:46
Ibroxstorm this was my post from a few days ago talking about Moore as director of football and muscat manager.

Beale was in the process of buying a house in Scotland. On Saturday he pulled his bid from that house and it is now back up for sale.

Maybe with his future so uncertain he thought it was the wrong move.

1.) 12 Sep 2023 15:39:27
How we all feeling about the Yilmaz omission from the Europa Squad?

Surely that has to mean curtains for his rangers career. Can't imagine him being ok about it and suggests to me Beale doesn't view him as an integral player moving forward.

Disclaimer being this is all completely opinion based so I could be 100% wrong. I'm sure he'll be asked a question on it at the next presser.

2.) 12 Sep 2023 16:05:29
Yilmaz is a strange one only played in 9 League games since he signed on at Rangers, yet there are constant calls for him to get game time. I don't think he is or ever will be in Beales plans, let's be honest, why play a natural left back, when you can shoehorn a right footed player in at LB and wind up the support in the process.

3.) 12 Sep 2023 16:37:50
I think Beale has made an arse if the squad we can all see it's top heavy in attack.

You look at any squad other managers go with and they tend to have more defensive players as you can go with one forward and still be ok.

If we get suspensions or injuries we will be in severe trouble again.

I really don't think Beale knows what he's doing

9 forward players 6 defenders screams more of the same chopping and changing from Beale.

4.) 12 Sep 2023 17:11:42
Hes injured far too often to rely on. Sensible decision. Sell in next window hopefully i don't think he is what we need or will help much defensively.

5.) 12 Sep 2023 17:14:54
More surprised that balogun has been left out sterling hasn't looked anywhere near settled I'd have had baloguns experience and versatility in that squad.

6.) 12 Sep 2023 17:15:49
Yilmaz only end up injured again after his next cameo.

7.) 12 Sep 2023 17:30:21
Extant where are I getting this info re the house mate?
It’s my belief’s mb already owns the house he lives in with his family, think it’s in middle of nowhere with a lot of farmland. ?
He kept it on when he left Scotland with stevie and his family continues to stay in it, with his kids staying in school up here. ?
That is my knowledge on the matter mate.

So where are u getting this info from a show do u know it wasn’t just an investment in bricks n mortar like most people try and do?

8.) 12 Sep 2023 17:43:10
The late GREAT SIR WALTER SMITH build his squad from def to attack beale is doing opposite but i have nothing against beale and hopefully he gets it right and 56 is on its way.

9.) 12 Sep 2023 18:28:13
Plenty defenders add in king and Devine.

10.) 12 Sep 2023 18:47:58
We all want that intr68 but he's going about it a strange way.

11.) 12 Sep 2023 18:51:11
Yilmaz has shown very little to suggest he shoukd be number 1 LB.

12.) 12 Sep 2023 18:59:45
Gofor we relied on Morelos for 4 years and when he was injured or suspended we had no cover. Bout time we had options in attack especially with roofes fitness record.

13.) 12 Sep 2023 19:01:05
No Yilmaz or Balogun? Unless both have long injuries . that's yet another mistake by Beale and co.

14.) 12 Sep 2023 19:08:48
Agree Paul.

15.) 12 Sep 2023 19:18:10
I'd rather have roofe and Lawrence I the squad, Yilmaz is too easily injured and some on here have said he's not keen to present himself as fit.

16.) 12 Sep 2023 19:20:22
Some players have to miss out, Sterling, Devine and Davies can all cover left back where Yilmaz plays left back and left back only. He has hardly played and is always injured so can`t be relied on but if he stays fit he should get lots of chances in domestic games when we rest Barisic. Balogun was only brought in as emergency cover so Davies was always getting in, in front of him. Its only 6 games, there will be plenty of football for them to get game time . Does Dowells omission mean his injury is worse than we thought? Just wondering about the house thing, was it a house he looked at 3 or 4 years ago and decided to bid over the odds for? That seems to be how he works.

17.) 12 Sep 2023 19:48:58
Yilmaz being excluded is a joke. Dowell I don't rate but what was the point in signing him if you aren't going to include him in the squad. this again proves just how inept beale is, well out his depth. Can't believe this clown is still at the club.

18.) 12 Sep 2023 20:56:15
Davies before Balogun is just mental.

19.) 12 Sep 2023 21:40:49
My belief is that Yilmaz will end up back in Istanbul and will walk back into whichever of the top Turkish Clubs that he chooses to go to.
Unlike Turgay Kerimoglu, I don't believe that Yilmaz is as well suited to Scottish Football although there are other players currently playing in the Super Lig that would be an asset to Rangers.

20.) 13 Sep 2023 07:46:13
Devine Is 20 now and tbh he’s simply not good enough to get a game.

21.) 13 Sep 2023 08:08:56
My information is Beale has already bought a house in Balfron a village in Stirling. Was completed over a month ago.

22.) 13 Sep 2023 10:06:33
Someone said he not keen to present himself fit but when folk on here said that about colak people said it was bs ? this place is brilliant.

23.) 13 Sep 2023 11:16:54
How can you not rate Dowell? he's had barely any game time and when he has played he has looked solid.

Yilmaz is not up to much. too small for his position and always injured.

24.) 13 Sep 2023 13:52:16
Don`t see how anyone can write off Devine . He can`t dislodge the captain but he did look decent playing out of position at left back in a few games last season . In fact I think he got MOTM in one or two of them . He is not great on his left foot but was willing to go wide and cross with it rather than turn back all the time . Maybe not to Barisic standard of crossing but his defensive work was good. let's give him some game time before we write him off.

25.) 13 Sep 2023 18:46:22
Captain Tav did I mention Morelos nope!

Show me squads from other managers and I bet they will have all have more defenders than us

Exact same mistakes as last season's squad, Beale is too arrogant to listed to fans.

Basically if he didn't sign you you don't play by the look of it.

26.) 13 Sep 2023 18:47:16
Lol saying that doesn't even play his so called "own signings" that are some of the most expensive at the club.

27.) 13 Sep 2023 18:50:17
Also how are we meant to sell yilmaz if he doesn't even make our European squad Beale is depreciating the value of squad

Danillo
Yilmaz

Not playing with the amount we have spent on them is crazy

Every says about giving these new players time and games yilmaz only 9 games someone was saying ?.

28.) 13 Sep 2023 22:40:25
Damn predictive text ?.

Chris Jack is suggesting Rangers have finished their business and won't sign anyone else.

"I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you're expecting a flurry of transfer activity, I don't see it happening. Rangers did a lot of business early in the window and are happy with that. I don't think there's anything in the pipeline. " - Chris Jack.

VerdantAbyss

1.) 01 Sep 2023 11:43:39
Well to put it in plain words were Fu**ed the signings so far are not doing it.

2.) 01 Sep 2023 11:45:21
Looks like to me there won’t be incomings unless there are outgoings.

McLaughlan
Wright
Davies

So frustrating, but it is what it is. We’re certainly not made of money. It’s a shame because a right winger and a CB (Harry Souttar), would have been a great end to the window.

3.) 01 Sep 2023 11:45:34
Might aswell hand them the title again. Problem areas again not been addressed and no replacement for kent is horrendous.

4.) 01 Sep 2023 11:46:23
If we don’t make any signing at left sided centre back and go with what we have and no right winger we’re going to win nothing.

5.) 01 Sep 2023 11:48:07
Chris Jack doesn't have a clue and gets a tonne wrong. He has few contacts inside the club - H&H have a lot more, alongside TFO.

6.) 01 Sep 2023 11:51:00
Heard the same, board think we have enough to win the league. Worrying times imo and that’s against a Celtic that’s struggling with injuries.

We’ll only move for players if any notable players leave I. E Davies/ Barisic that right now isn’t happening. Then if it does happen later on it could be too late.

On a question for the rest of the site what would you rate our transfer window / 10? How do you see our chances of winning this league?

7.) 01 Sep 2023 11:55:48
Happy with "that"?
£6m that warms the bench and a number 9 that couldn't hit a barn door.
And a defence that cannot defence about SPL level.

Great business, buzzing for it!

8.) 01 Sep 2023 11:59:06
Just checked with someone, Souttar deal is still being discussed.

Harry is desperate to come to us, we want him but Leicester want to sell however if they can’t we may get a loan late in the day.

9.) 01 Sep 2023 12:05:21
So much for the so called main posters . you reading storm

Why would you back a manager that's failed in pretty much everything so far an assist while at club only one trophy won

Sorry but the signs are there already that this experiment not going well.

10.) 01 Sep 2023 12:11:18
This is why a was raging the other day when Celtic signed Phillips. We need a c errs back of that mould and we have sat on our arsed all summer and ignored it. Joke.

11.) 01 Sep 2023 12:17:14
If we don’t add two players then we’d better hope and pray Celtics form continues. If they pull the finger out we’ll be very hard pushed to win the league.

12.) 01 Sep 2023 12:17:47
Still really hoping for one more in and a couple still to head out on loan.

I did hear that Dykes and Shankland were on their way - driven here by Vladimir Weiss - but I think that's wide of the mark.

13.) 01 Sep 2023 12:41:28
One guy who gets 99% of things wrong and all the usual suspects pile on.
What a ridiculous bunch.

14.) 01 Sep 2023 12:44:05
GC on what kent done the last 18 months a corner flag could replace him.

15.) 01 Sep 2023 12:44:58
Stevie the boy the signed is slower than a week in the jail and is only their till jan.

16.) 01 Sep 2023 12:50:34
Whyare. satnav by skov olsen!

17.) 01 Sep 2023 12:59:30
No more signings don’t want to give Beale any more money to waste as he’ll be gone by Christmas.

18.) 01 Sep 2023 13:04:43
More signings obviously depended on the CL money and outgoings. Neither have happened.

19.) 01 Sep 2023 13:06:04
What do people not understand about signing players and filling squads? We have Ben Davies as left foot cb and Souter playing there, also a login can play there. Just because some decide they’re not good enough doesn’t mean you buy again. If players don’t move on then we can’t sign anymore. Sometimes in football you’re stuck due to players not being fit, good enough, refusing to move on. tough!

This squad is good enough to consistently beat the rest Scotland and go toe to toe V Celtic, down to the coaching team to ensure that happens now.

20.) 01 Sep 2023 13:10:07
Folks. I’ll say it again. The board are not interested in trophies, it’s their job to keep us stable. Capital projects past and present will affect our budget. We have a squad good enough, however managers need to utilise them correctly. Sunday will tell.

21.) 01 Sep 2023 13:31:11
When you guys throw the towel in, is it a Rangers towel of just a yellow one?

Asking for a friend.

22.) 01 Sep 2023 13:31:24
More fans than supporters wading into this. The same ones who predictably will be on here at FT on Sunday shouting how we’re world beaters if we win or who want everyone sacked (?) if we don’t. Very few seem to understand how clubs and management work, albeit a good few absolutely do. The sense of entitlement from some, and willing to bash the club given any opportunity is a disgrace. You’d be better off not bothering to post.

Note. Of course you can disagree and speak out if you’re not happy. And yes, all opinions are just that, just like mine. But, get behind our team and stop the entitled whining. We’ve a great UEL draw and could go top Sunday. Try the glass half full once in a while.

23.) 01 Sep 2023 13:32:08
Lot of panic going on this site, I’ve seen a lot better Rangers teams pumped out in the qualifiers against dross in Europe, people wanting Beale out need to have a look at themselves, on Tuesday we were going to give Celtic doing now it’s the end of the world.

24.) 01 Sep 2023 13:33:58
I’d rate the transfer window as a good 1. We have spent £12.5m and recouped almost all of it. All the attacking options have scored at least once and most have at least 1 assist. Our replacement GK looks top drawer and our new CM Cifuentes like all have shown glimpses.
Every player we have signed has showed ability and once we get a more settled side we will see the best of them.
We actually have lots of options from bench for 1st time in a long time.
If we beat Celtic on Sunday we are 2 points clear of them and we are only going to get stronger.

25.) 01 Sep 2023 13:40:24
Hearing a lot of Sima is not good enough, we need a proper replacement for Ryan Kent

Ryan Kent 2022/ 2023 - 44 appearances - 3 goals
2021/ 2022 - 46 appearances - 3 goals

Abdullah Sima 7 games into 2023/ 2024 season - 7 appearances - 2 goals

Kent worked hard, looked good on the eye = no end product

If Sima looks hopeless at times but contributes 15-20 goals this season then i'm taking that all day long

Give the boy and the rest of the new signings a chance.

26.) 01 Sep 2023 13:46:31
VerdantAbyss I think your right don't see anyone coming in now which for me is a worrying as we've got no real pace and or width about us
No LB currently either is a concern. Just hope they continue being rubbish and we beat them sunday otherwise pressure starts mounting on the Cockney wyde boy, my fear is once all their players are back they will be a lot stronger especially if we don't win Sunday.

27.) 01 Sep 2023 14:06:20
Here we go with all the happy clappers!

'Support the team blah blah blah.

No one is not supporting the team we're just realistic in that Beale has still failed to win is a meaningful game. Servette is the only thing that looks like a big game win.

Our squad is still a good bit behind Celtics mainly because their strikers are prolific and when CCV plays they don't lose a lot of goals.

When does finishing well behind Celtic end, I hope it's this year but it could be a few years away yet and continually settling for second best doesn't do us any good.

Celtic fans rioted when they were terrible and they went and got a manager who won 5 out of 6.
Who's the dafties?

28.) 01 Sep 2023 14:11:21
I reckon will know on Sunday whether we have a chance of winning the league or not this season since in general terms winning the league comes down to who wins the Old Firm games. Do I expect to win, of course I do because when someone pulls on that blue jersey they should be willing to die for the team.
Do I have concerns, yes! Some of these guys that we have bought appear to have a leak of passion and are clueless about what it means to play for Rangers and I have no idea what Beale's plans are or what his Team selection will be. His track record with his own players so far has been abysmal. Wrong team selection against Kilmarnock and wrong team selection against PSV! That is my main worry for Sunday because losing this one is not an option.

29.) 01 Sep 2023 14:22:41
I think the window was a good one and still players finding their feet. hopefully quickly!
My main concern is we are starting the season with the same dross defensive line!
We failed with them last year and we will fail with them again.
Build from the back, not build from the front!

30.) 01 Sep 2023 14:28:55
Storm I know he’s slow but for me he’s what we need, in the air at both ends he’s a really good defender.
Pace isn’t always needed if player is good positionally look at hellander Davie weir and so on.
A just really rate the big guy lads and I think yous will see why.
Him and ccv will be 2 best centre back in league and will prove very hard to get better of, we should use pace against them on Sunday Sima and Matondo with Roofe at cf lol as u say mate he doesn’t have great pace so that’s our best option I think .

31.) 01 Sep 2023 14:37:20
How dare the club be well prepared and not have multiple last minute panic buys. Its a total disgrace and they should all resign immediately. Seriously!

We have done lots of good business early and I for one think this has been a good window.

Let's get behind the players we have brought in and see how they do over the next few months. We then review in January and strengthen where we need it the most.

I would have liked one more, maybe two lol, but we do have depth in our squad still and it will take more than one transfer window to make all the changes we would like to see.

32.) 01 Sep 2023 14:42:16
I will admit given time yes these new signungs might improve so far I've not been impressed by anyone but Butland and so far i don't think we've improved up front at all with the exception of Matondo who has been a bright spark so far this season. I will always be behind my club my main issue is whilst in time this windiws players might come good as it stands we've not improved and prob gotten a bit worse i blame that on Beale, his tactics and unwillingness to make subs or change things when needed. Our defence has beem suspect for well over 2 seasons now and STILL we continue to go with the same back 4 its the defence that needed sorted before anything else no point spending a small fortune on a new (allegedly faster) front line if were going to gift xhances and goals to anyone who asks a question of us at the back. If we don't get anyone in at the back today we will all be cimplaining of the same issues come january maybe then halfway through the season he might just try and fix it . . . If he's still there.

33.) 01 Sep 2023 14:47:17
Happy Clapper De Boer? Right you are. ??‍♂️.

34.) 01 Sep 2023 14:49:29
Still not addressed the problems in defence, we have Davies and Yilmaz who continually have mystery injuries and therefore no pressure on the guys in possession of the shirt. We can get away with Souttar on the left side against most of our league but not in Europe. There are so many players down south who will not be in their squads for the rest of the season, why can`t we pick up a left sided C. B and a wide man on loan. Pity though we didn`t spot young Sadiq at Hakken when we were scouting Traore . He was sensational last night and is going for £3.5 million, well within our price range . We could have got him rather than load up with 3 strikers, 2 of whom look bang average.

35.) 01 Sep 2023 15:09:06
Butland, Raskin, and Cantwell appear to be the only impressive signings so far.

Dessers, Danilo, Lammers and Cifuentes have not impressed me at all.

Quite gutting.

Sunday hopefully changes this. Hope these new guys show what Beale has believed in them.

36.) 01 Sep 2023 15:13:24
DK mate can you confirm who has thrown in the towel? Ibrox who says we are world beaters if we beat Celtic. We have a team good enough to go toe to toe however we got humped 5-1 by PSV. They are not high pedigree European elite. The forward signings have been rank for what we paid and the formation confusing. We honestly talk more on this forum about how much a player will make us rather than winning a trophy. Mental.

37.) 01 Sep 2023 15:33:37
Corner against us gives me the fear, consistent problem for months if not a few years . Sort defence first, all top managers in the past did exactly that as a priority, we have big carthorses playing for Dingwall and even Morton bossing our defence right, left and centre, jeez we are even scoring comedy own goals now due to fannying about at the back as some insane 'tactic'

Tap to you tap back to you then tap back again then hoof it, nonsense.

38.) 01 Sep 2023 15:50:57
Wsl when did we scout traore. Was that rangers staff or someone on here.

39.) 01 Sep 2023 15:59:25
We can wrap up the league cup without even needing to play Celtic and folk are saying we’ve no chance of a trophy this season lol.

40.) 01 Sep 2023 16:29:14
Windy, everyone has a right to be wrong. I wouldn’t, but if I bookmarked all these comments and reposted when we win a cup or the league or do well in the UEL, or even if we were to rampage then this weekend, many will swear the players were just settling or whatever. The negativity from many posters is reason enough for me to go back to doing what I thought I’d enjoy here. Following my team everywhere and enjoying some chat with like minded supporters. To John, Copland and the rest, enjoy your weekend and keep both your faith and positivity for Rangers, we absolutely need it.

41.) 01 Sep 2023 16:36:34
Raskin sort made my point. Hardly anyone has mentioned that Beale has no excuse for not winning that trophy. In reality we the only ones that can win a treble. More chat about money than trophies. We are allowed to be critical folks.

42.) 01 Sep 2023 18:38:15
John I think your right think it was people on here

Still would have like to sign him though Danilo not. And player neither is lammers or sima just don't think they are being used right Danilo needs game time from start to properly judge.

I wouldn't mind seeing lammers tried as his preferred CF role he's big can hold ball up can turn a man and decent in air all things dessers seems to lack

Still maintain sima would do more damage in behind a main forward the man likes a shot and he slows game down when wide.

And I can here Beale now but but he's always been a winger ? doesn't mean he always has to be he's still young.

43.) 01 Sep 2023 18:48:24
Ibrox all the best for the weekend. I think we will win. ??.

44.) 01 Sep 2023 18:52:31
I note the comment about getting rid of McLaughlin, Davies and Wright however realistically the only one likely to go is Wright and that presupposes that we drop our asking price. Davies has already said he wants to stay and fight for his position which I translate as he is happy to stay and pick up has wages for sitting on the bench just as he did at Liverpool.
As for McLaughlin, you couldn't give him away!

45.) 01 Sep 2023 19:23:04
John27 it was reported in the press that Beale was very keen on Traore, it was just a rumour but just like the any rumour be it on here or in the press, it may or may not have been true. Wish to god it had been, watched him for Sheff Utd and he is much better and quicker than Dessers and we might have got Sadiq as well. These two and forget about Dessers, Lammers and Sima and we would have saved a bit of cash and a wage .

Nnamdi Ofoborh is being released from the club.

VerdantAbyss

1.) 24 Aug 2023 11:20:29
To pursue a career elsewhere. as in not a footballer i am guessing.

2.) 24 Aug 2023 11:23:31
Boy wants to go play football and rangers don't want to take risk of him dying on pitch.

Rangers are 100% right on this one. We have safeguarded his life and he has now made a decision with the club.

Good luck to the boy wish him all the best.

3.) 24 Aug 2023 11:43:36
Gofor, totally agree.

4.) 24 Aug 2023 12:02:12
Glad it’s sorted, wish him well.

5.) 24 Aug 2023 12:21:57
If the specialists have said no, we are quite right not to play him . Now if he wants to take other advice and risk it, its his decision . I wish him well but the club have done the right thing I think.

6.) 24 Aug 2023 13:30:41
Hope it works out for him, hate seeing a boy with obvious talent held back. Good luck to him ?.

7.) 24 Aug 2023 13:42:47
He felt he was ready to get back to playing, the club and specialists didn’t see that being the case just now.

Can’t imagine there will be many clubs looking at him but fair play to him wanting to get back playing.

8.) 24 Aug 2023 13:50:19
I wish him nothing but the best. It was interesting a couple of months ago when he said on social media the truth will come out. He obviously feels aggrieved about something. Imo the club have done the right thing by him.

9.) 24 Aug 2023 14:17:46
Wish him all the very best in his life, rangers followed the lads consultants advice the boy wanted to try and see what happened.

10.) 24 Aug 2023 14:18:00
Have to take the specialist advice on him, if we are being told by doctors not to play, then sadly that's how ot has to be, if we did put him in and something happened we would be liable. Hope the boys stays healthy and happy as must be very frustrsting for him.

11.) 24 Aug 2023 14:28:55
Shame for the guy but I hope he follows the specialist advice. Wishing him all best for his health.

12.) 24 Aug 2023 14:29:15
I think it's madness going against the consultants advice, not many second chances with the heart.

13.) 24 Aug 2023 15:40:57
I'm sure he was passed fit to play but will always be that risk no matter what he's doing

Rangers simply don't want to take that risk

I think club has do e right thing here.

14.) 24 Aug 2023 16:21:15
Go for he was never passed fit to play.

15.) 24 Aug 2023 19:50:58
Was never passed went to many specialist and they all sayed the same the boy wanted to play still tells you about his caracter the club done the correct thing tho hopefully the boy makes it in what ever he does next.

21 Aug 2023 10:19:38
I seen a rumour on Facebook and thought I'd share it here.

A guy said that Rangers and Kamara had reached a sort of standoff. Kamara was refusing to come back to training because he is so desperate to move. Rangers apparently stopped, or threatened to stop his wages. Hence his reappearance in Glasgow in recent days.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

VerdantAbyss

1.) 21 Aug 2023 10:29:54
Kamara is back training as of last week verdant he’s been training away from the group at Murray park.

2.) 21 Aug 2023 10:31:29
Think also though that what u have said is correct, rangers were looking at legal rules to stop his wages as he was reporting he was unwel to stay away from training.

3.) 21 Aug 2023 10:47:44
Started trading on Thursday. First time this season.

4.) 21 Aug 2023 10:52:24
I don't understand why he would have to act in such a way, we've looked after him and protected him. - Recalling the racist comments in particular.

I'm sure if any player wants to be elsewhere we will sell if we get a fair offer.

Until then get your head down and concentrate on your football and you'll win your move.

5.) 21 Aug 2023 11:14:34
Bring back the days when he'd be pinned to the wall and told what to do.

6.) 21 Aug 2023 11:21:10
Correct. Kamara went AWOL, Rangers threatened his wages/ actually stopped them so he came back.

7.) 21 Aug 2023 11:41:51
Kamara will probably leave on loan now?.

8.) 21 Aug 2023 11:47:01
This is what happens when you keep players too long or don't sell at the right time they down tools and lose motivation there is a long list recently. Hope we learn from it. Hopefully he is away ASAP.

9.) 21 Aug 2023 11:50:43
He needs to go asap.

10.) 21 Aug 2023 11:59:43
@dado he did the same at Dundee. We didn't learn from it. he'll do the same at his next club.

11.) 21 Aug 2023 13:01:59
Not training is strange behaviour from Kamara, that means when he does get the move he wants, he will still have a pre season to do. Why would any sensible person do that, its not as if we were stopping him getting a move, we are happy for him to go and even the price we want is not prohibitive. Sounds like a very immature young man.

12.) 21 Aug 2023 13:35:10
Should be offered a 'punch or a charge'

13.) 21 Aug 2023 13:52:26
We might wonder why he ended up at Dundee in the first place and why they took not much money for him, no big queue for him then or before he went there. Should have been shifted when Nice made a reasonable offer .

14.) 21 Aug 2023 15:26:26
Was he not asked to train with the kids?

Sorry but that's an insult to a player that's played through pain barrier for us and signed a new deal so we could get a fee.

The way we are dealing with players recently is unacceptable.

15.) 21 Aug 2023 16:17:55
I’m not a supporter of players refusing to train or holding the club to their demands in anyway, but by the same token, it’s bizarre that in one post on thee forum, someone is saying our players aren’t treated well and then the next, someone is advocating a player be pinned against the wall and told what to do. This isn’t the dark ages, it’s 2023 and their thought is as archaic as the action. If players (like any employee of any company) don’t show to work and work isn’t of a reasonable standard, you look at how employment law helps you cancel the employment. You don’t physically threaten them.

16.) 21 Aug 2023 17:03:18
The story I heard was Kamara nose out of place due to signing ofvSima whoo he feels showed solidarity with his abuser.

17.) 21 Aug 2023 18:09:10
HWG
That’s exactly what the problem is mate. U hit the mail on the head.
And tbh I totally agree… kamara was a ranger, once a ranger n all that?
Yet we go and sign someone who showed loyalty and solidarity with the very **** bag who racially abused him.
I agree with kamara’s stance and I will make no apology for that.
Mb has made a tit of that wan.
Disgraceful from the club and manager.

18.) 21 Aug 2023 18:47:32
Ronald that work law goes both ways and it's already been determined elswhere that putting a player down to train with youth is a form of punishment.

And can be seen as discrimination so him refusing that is totally fair.

Sorry truth hurts simple fact is we are not treating people well if their face no longer fits and it's a sad sad position for our club to have got to.

It will also put future signings off

Example what if we were looking at a young Finnish or Romanian international and they turn to likes of hagi kamara for opinion?

We are being short sighted.

19.) 21 Aug 2023 18:58:54
No club will pay 5mill for him especially if he’s not had a preseason. By the time he’s fit he’d be available on a free transfer.

20.) 22 Aug 2023 12:31:47
5.5m from Leeds sirwalter.

Steven Davis says criticism of Tavernier has been over the top and undeserved. Full agree with him on this point. Time to back the captain. 8 goals and 1 assist this season. 4 MOTM awards. Get off his back.

VerdantAbyss

1.) 08 Oct 2023 20:04:00
Look at results and performances of tav and the team the criticism is fully justified. Played well today tho and his 2nd goal was a peach.

2.) 08 Oct 2023 20:06:09
Heaven forbid we have a go at Captain pugwash.

3.) 08 Oct 2023 20:07:18
Running down the wing……Sh! te captain. Sh! te defender. Can’t cross. Can’t score. Offers nothing. Who do we rely on the most when the chips are down? Cojones the size of water melons taking that penalty btw but still the criticism flows. Nice tap in for the 3rd. The lot of you know where to go.

4.) 08 Oct 2023 20:16:02
Totally agree with you verdant and with wee davo ?Tav will always be the whipping boy for some of our supporters mate ?.

5.) 08 Oct 2023 20:24:46
Finally a manager comes out to support our captain who has been our most consistent performer for years.

Must be another agenda for the haters surely?

6.) 08 Oct 2023 20:47:13
Tav will always have his hater but only when he’s our team and we’re missing 25 goal involvements a season will they get it.

7.) 08 Oct 2023 20:57:55
Tav out! Guys an imposter of a captain. Great stats for him. Dreadful record as captain. History doesn’t lie. Lifted a couple of trophies in his tenure. Embarrassing.

8.) 08 Oct 2023 21:03:59
I do not believe anyone hates Tav, ýes he scores crucial goals, but criticism is justified if he is playing badly. let's be honest defending is not his best quality, but always gives his all no matter, so can't be faulted for that. Also no need to be telling others where to go, just because they have a different opinion, we are all supposedly all rangers supporters on here, but then again you never know by some of posts.

9.) 08 Oct 2023 21:13:08
If Tav was a was a winger he’d be a hero but he’s a defender that can’t so criticism is due .

10.) 08 Oct 2023 21:30:29
Well done Tav on having the bottle to take the penalty and for a wonderful strike for his 2nd.
On the flip side, where was he against PSV, Killie, Celtic, Aberdeen, Aris etc
It's called constructive criticism.
And didn't Tav himself say that they need to do better?

11.) 08 Oct 2023 21:59:20
So when tav leaves will we win treble after treble a highly dout it. Tav came to rangers after we went bust and have never been the same since. That’s no his fault. Lee Wallace only won 4 trophies couple a them in the lower leagues so if you count tavs lower titles trophies they have the same amount a silverware.

12.) 08 Oct 2023 22:31:34
Verdant is that the same Davis you have been bad mouthing since he became interim? That one The criticism towards Tav was justified he finally stood up like a captain should after the last few weeks of being a coward.

13.) 08 Oct 2023 22:59:35
He's an easy target for the boo boys. He's a scare at times but name me a full back in the world we can afford that isn't and will give we much value to the position.

08 Oct 2023 14:22:27
Solid performance from Tavernier again today. He has shown yet again why his contribution going forward is so important. We asked for a big performance, and he delivered. Time for many of the boo boys to get off his back ??.

VerdantAbyss

1.) 08 Oct 2023 14:32:10
Aye because 1 good game in his last really makes the difference sadly i feel his time is up for a captain of a club with a fan base and expectation so high he should only be having 1 or 2 bad games especially against spl teams every 10 games.

2.) 08 Oct 2023 14:38:37
He’s got 6 goals this season no been at his best but no as bad as some folk want to make out.

3.) 08 Oct 2023 14:41:39
Big performance verdant, i missed that big performance then.

4.) 08 Oct 2023 14:47:54
Sorry verdant i can see now you're talking about Tavernier.

5.) 08 Oct 2023 14:53:24
Must have been watching a different game??‍♂️. As is always the case Tavs goal scoring appears to cover the many flaws in his game for some. He’s been poor for a very long time regardless of his goal record and it’s time to sit him out. I’m sure we’ll find someone else to take penalties.

6.) 08 Oct 2023 15:07:18
He score a rocket no just a pen and we got a clean sheet so why doesn’t he get credit for clean sheets but gets the blame for goals against us even if he’s no at fault. Last season he was the only player to step up against Celtic. Short memories.

7.) 08 Oct 2023 15:19:06
2 goals 1 assist and a clean sheet yet Tav still getting it tight ??‍♂️.

8.) 08 Oct 2023 15:51:39
Pleased for Tav today, I agree his form has been poor for a while but he’s not on his own, he’s our captain there is no other player at the club except maybe Butland who could fill the roll, I’m not a fan of keepers being captain. I just wish people would get off is back and show him a bit of respect .

9.) 08 Oct 2023 16:16:09
Scotty he never had an assist, it was raskin.

10.) 08 oct 2023 16:42:41
if only he could defend but great strike.

11.) 08 Oct 2023 16:45:00
John he assisted the assist. Apparently that counts these days ?.

12.) 08 Oct 2023 16:52:27
What assist did he get and verdant where has he been aw season? Hiding one game doesn’t change that.

13.) 08 Oct 2023 20:24:13
Alloa not for me it does not, the assisting assisting assist makes butland the best assister

Gjd makes good points re raskin, also his final ball, so for me it was good to see him give it to sima, mb learning.

Muscat seems to have ruled himself out until his contract in Japan finishes:

"During the week, we had 61 supporters who travelled to Jinan in China to see us play in the AFC Champions League against Shandong Taishan. I was truly moved by the fact that these fans travelled that distance just to support us.

"The support was truly amazing and the best possible. Of course, we will have a lot more fans at the semi-final against Urawa Reds. The fans here have been brilliant to me and the team and I vow to deliver another title for them. ".

VerdantAbyss

1.) 07 Oct 2023 14:06:20
Wouldn’t expect him to say anything else whilst he’s still the manager with them Verdant. I’m not reading much into that until he comes out and said I’m not interested, if he’s been interviewed he’s interested, see what happens after that.

2.) 07 Oct 2023 14:11:53
I’m not fussed about Muscat.

3.) 07 Oct 2023 14:43:14
VerdantAbyss, kevin muscat hasn't ruled himself out whatsoever mate ? He's clearly fighting to win another league title with Yokohama and the Japanese season doesn't finish until the 3rd of december ?If our board regard him as their preferred no.1 target, they quite simply have to wait 'till then to get him and into the bargain he's almost out of contract ? That to me sums it up plain and simple! VerdantAbyss, you're trying to paint a picture that ain't there my friend ?.

4.) 07 Oct 2023 14:44:34
MPH, if you don't mind me asking, who are you fussed about regarding becoming our new manager mate ?.

5.) 07 Oct 2023 14:57:16
He’s only ruled himself out until decenber when his contract out rather have him than lampard.

6.) 07 Oct 2023 15:01:50
If Rangers offer Muscat the job, Rangers have to dictate to him when he takes over, we need someone in the door sooner rather than later, otherwise the season will be over for sure, I don’t give a monkey’s for Yamaha egg fried rice FC . I only care about my team, Rangers, so whoever comes in forget what you’ve done and put Rangers back where we should be, on top of the league playing with swagger and style .

7.) 07 Oct 2023 15:04:23
For me now think if possible it would be between

Gellardo
Clement
Glasner

Any of these 3 I would be very happy?

8.) 07 Oct 2023 15:33:16
Ruled himself out What planet are you on? He is still in a job he ain’t going to say anything other than that.

Do you not remember what the man you continue to blindly back even tho he was an imposter Beale said in interviews before taking our job?

This has went under the radar due to all the chaos surrounding the managerial position:

Roofe had his scan and there is no serious injury there. He could be back as soon as next weekend. It was confirmed by Beale before the Aberdeen game. Beale told BBC Scotland: "Fingers crossed Kemar will be available again by next weekend so that's good news".

Very good news indeed.

VerdantAbyss

Let’s see how he does. It all looks good on paper, but we have no idea what we will get in reality. Paul Le Guen was an excellent example of that. We just need to hope that this guy is the real deal.

Most Importantly the fans need to get support this manager, and this group of players. even if result go against him in the next few months. The toxic fanbase need to stop booing and abusing players. Their confidence of the players is completely shot. It’ll take time to build them back up although many of our fanbase have already written off most of our players. Will our fans get behind Dessers now? Will they get behind Tavernier now? Or will they keep hounding these guys?

The board need to make all the appointments. From top to bottom their should be interviews, due diligence, etc. Move away from this ‘jobs for the boys’ attitude that has been at our club for far too long.

The club don’t need a manager, they need a head coach. There should be a consistent vision for the club that carries on even in the event of a head coach being replaced. The DoF should be singing players Based on information provided by the scouts. There should be a backroom staff that is consistent and doesn’t need gutted constantly. I understand every manager wants their own coaches but that should be limited in numbers. In short, the club needs to be run properly.

This constant ripping everything up and starting again isn’t working. In fact, it does more harm than good. We need to put something in place and stick with it. However, I’m not sure our fans are ever going to accept that which is a big problem.

I don’t care who he picks, or how he plays, the object of the game is to win. As long as he wins there isn't an issue. He needs to win “meaningful” games and the first one of those is in December at Parkhead.

The League Cup is a must win. If Rangers fail to win that it’ll be humilation for the club. If we get turned over by Celtic in December and the points gap goes to double figures the humiliation will continue. There will be no squad rebuild until the summer. This new manager needs to come in and win games of football, put in excellent performances doing it since that is now demanded on top of winning, and we must win silverware. If he can’t do it the demand to have him sacked will quickly ramp up. We’ve seen all this before.

The fans will say he’ll get time, but he wont.

Boyd ran less than any other player on the planet during his time at Rangers. He had the benefit of being part of quality sides that created everything for him. He couldn’t function in this team right now either.

Tavernier out in a good performance today, and he is still being thrown under the bus by many. You really wonder what this guy needs to do before he gets some credit.
