Im seeing a lot of outrage on social media about why we didn't get a penalty yesterday, do people actually think we were wronged out of a penalty?

Am I missing something? my take on it is this,

I get that Collum has made a howler and it looks like he's got out of jail due to Sima being offside. But had he correctly judged the handball as a penalty and referred Walsh to the monitor, they would then have checked the build up and seen the offside, which would then mean NO penalty.

I understand Rangers wanting to hear the audio as it will no doubt highlight the incompetence of Collum (if indeed the audio proves there was no mention of an offside at the time), but I don't understand a section of our fan base feeling we were robbed of a penalty. It simply isn't the issue here.

The issue is Collums incompetence and the fact they've maybe then tried to cover his mistake once they discovered it was offside roughly 30 mins later by saying "oh we are just being told that the penalty wasn't given due to an offside" which was completely false. Collum never gave the penalty because he's either incompetent or a cheat and he's got out of jail because there happened to be an offside in the build up.

No offside Celtic player touched the ball first.

I think that's the issue fruit bear rangers want to know what was said on the audio as saying offside 40 mins later reeks of a cover up of collums mistake as offside was never mentioned in the whole process.

The keeper played a bye kick so no offside was given. they weren't giving a penalty at the piggery. the ref had a clear view of the handball he knew what happened and wasn't giving it simple. As far as offside goes fine that would have meant there was no penalty but that's not the point they shat ther pants to give a pen. I was more aggrieved at McGregor ten fouls before he was booked and they other two could have seen red. No excuses sima has had a nightmare at the first goal and dessers and mcausland have fluffed great chances. We move on we weren't good enough on the day but just hope we have different set of officials and no Tim fans at Ibrox next time.

It's even dubious that it was offside as apoarently they used a still after the ball had left Lundstram's foot. Rolling the Film back Sima could well have been onside.

Forget about the offside for a minute that would have been checked if the penalty was given. The biggest issue is Collum not giving the penalty when he has reviewed it, was bad enough that Walsh missed it but how could Collum not give that? Pretty sure at the time the info on the screen for the VAR review was checking potential handball if that is the case why is not given.

Plus the 2 red cards. Which would have changed the game massively.

Nope you ain’t missing anything if they have the pen they would have then checked offside and it wouldn’t have been given. Collum didn’t think it was a pen that’s why it was original decision from ref that stood as var can’t say it was atleast a corner.

As much as it was a joke not giving the penalty, if he had given it, it would have been overturned for the offside, outrage at how it came about, but we wouldn't have got it anyways.

2 or 3 sigingns and see how 2nd half of the season goes, the penalty did not affect the game, we would never get it in any rules of the law - move on.
