Hearing concerning news that Clement is close to walking away due to the lack of funds available.
I don't know who has given PC the idea that he would have £15-£20m to spend this summer as it's very apparent that we are treading water when it comes to our finances.
Total haphazard financial mismanagement since 2012, we have not learnt our lesson at all.
You only need to look at the salary we are paying Matondo and Goldson for example. Huge money in terms of the SPL and very little return.
I have great concerns in terms of our ability to stay competing due to the lack of funds. God help us if we don't qualify for Europa Group Stages one season. Then the proverbial will hit the fan.

Think people jumping in with two feet on snippets of interviews, when you listen to them in full Clemont looks to be looking forward to the challenge.

I reckon the part that surprised Clement was two fold, he didn`t realise he would have to make as many changes and he didn`t know that some of his players were running down contracts, particularly Lundstram . I have no idea on players wages but I do agree guys like Matondo, Davies, Lammers, Lawrence and others who don`t contribute anything need to go to free up wages for players that will. I wouldn`t agree about including Goldson in this, yeah maybe his form has been poor and people don`t rate him, that's fair enough but he does go out and play to the best of his ability and give his all for the club not hide in the treatment room like so many others . We should also remember that paying more that SPL money is the only way we can attract players to the club we just need to make sure its the right players .

Quality signings?
Stop gap as it was a loan. People need to face reality that we were and still are living beyond our means.
It’s a huge transitional period now and there is a big push to reduce wage bill and overspending on players that can be signed on a lot less and achieve the same outcome.
The fact that we have not spent any significant money and we are nearly into August paints its own picture.
I will be very surprised if there are any additions before the CL deadline on 1st of August and fully expect the current squad to be the one facing Hearts at Tynecastle.

£15m the asking price. We will never pay that. He is contracted until 2027 and rejected the chance to join Lazio in January.
Watched Plymouth a few times last year as both my lads are from there…. He was great at the start of the season but faded away towards the end.
The £15m could be better spent elsewhere but remember we don’t have £15m to spend…. More like £1.5m.

Looks like he is off.
We wish him all the best and for some of the important goals he has scored. Would have went down as a legend if most of the players had given what he has given that he played alongside but it wasn’t to be.
Sorry SWS, we as a club cannot afford to turn down €4m for a player who is past his best.
Time for a new lease of life in the team.

We can’t compete with most clubs in the Championship. That’s the reality that we face. I think some fans are fickle and don’t realise how short of funds we actually are.
This rebuild will take a few years, still a lot of deadwood to be removed and trust will now be places in a starting 11 of players that are projects moving forward.
Long way to go until the end of August.

McBurnie was on 55k per week at Sheffield United. Major problem, gone are the days when players would sign for us due to their love of the club and accept a significant wage drop.
Curious to see what develops but most certainly 2 x goal scoring strikers are needed if Dessers leaves.
I still think there is a decent player in Danilo, let’s see what happens in terms of how he is after the significant injury.

Best part of £20-£25m needed there then to get what we need Orange.
Unfortunately we don’t have that cash. We are in a position now where we can’t even have a net spend due to the poor financial situation we find ourselves in.

I don’t think Barron will be a first team player this season, as in starting over 30 games etc. This season will be all about bedding in.
I still think we are lacking midfielders who can score 10 goals per season.
Window opens in a few days, let’s see what business we carry out in the next month. Crucial we get recruitment correct this summer.
