Read that we're keeping tabs on Harry Cochrane at Hearts. Hope this is true as the lad does look like he has a bright future!
If McInnes does arrive, I would like to see him bring the lad Wright with him! Don't know what his Contract situation is? But I would prefer to see Wright arrive before McLean! !

the young left back, Robson at Dundee Utd has his contract up in the Summer too. A few English teams sniffing about him, might be worth keeping tabs on as development fee would be peanuts

Alright Bears. So we know that Del has came out and said that he has had no contact from Rangers, BUT would I be right in saying that we wouldn't be allowed to talk to him until we had permission from his Club yeah? I'm sure McInnes would know if this is what's going on around him but HE IS telling the media that yeah he's had no direct contact! I do think that he is top of the list and the Club may be trying to negotiate some sort of Compensation Deal with the Sheep! Be it the amount or the whether the Fee is paid all at once or staggered? Not 100% sure but I do not think that the Fee is in the form of an Release Clause (Minimum) . Again I'm not sure about it so if anyone does know pre tell, heard that the amount is £800k tho!
So Bears who else thinks or even hopes that this is the case AND please let me know if the actual thought that this could be the case has any legs! COULD we be in talks with the Club before we even get to talk tcInnes

1.) 21 Nov 2017 18:44:01
I friend of mine who is an Aberdeen fan has stated that Rangers have made an unofficial contact with Aberdeen and that McInnes is not happy about being the only candidate and that his assistant has no interest in coming to us his source is Duncan Skinner

2.) 21 Nov 2017 18:48:23
I don't think we have approached mcinnes at all but I might be wrong

3.) 21 Nov 2017 19:04:23
why would McInnes be annoyed at being the only candidate? Not a dig, genuinely confused and curious. Surely he would be happy at that as makes the job easier to get?

4.) 21 Nov 2017 19:22:04
i think g4rry means that we've offered mcinnes the manager role but have told him his assistant docherty can't come with

5.) 21 Nov 2017 19:27:25
This is wishful thinking g4rry, Stewart Milne says no contact has been made and I have no reason to doubt it. If we had made an approach be it official or unofficial then then it would have been leaked to the gutter press by one side or the other so as to build pressure in the situation.

I have no doubt however that McInnes would not be happy about not being the only candidate as he strikes me as an arrogant type (god knows why) .

I presume this is what you meant as opposed to being annoyed about being the only candidate?

6.) 21 Nov 2017 20:43:43
Sorry mistyped McInnes is not happy that the board want options and he isn’t the only one there interested in as for Tony Doc he apparently won’t go to Rangers not that Rangers don’t want him so I’ve been told not sure if I believe it or not myself, according to this guy this will be the 4th time he’s knocked us back which is why I’d rather we looked elsewhere

7.) 21 Nov 2017 21:26:05
cheers for clarifying mate 👍

8.) 21 Nov 2017 22:36:43
g4rry. . so McInnes has knocked back Rangers 4 times? This guy you talk of is talking complete crap. He has never knocked Rangers back even once because he hasn't ever been offered the job. yet. If offered the job he will take it. guaranteed

19 Nov 2017 03:36:41
We should try and bring Moult to Ibrox in January, get him in asap instead of on a Pre and waiting for his Contract to end! Should be able to get him for £250-350k! Well may try and hold out for the £500k they wanted last Summer or could poss be prepared to keep him until end of the Season and lose him for nothing!

1.) 19 Nov 2017 05:11:55
You and your predictions Andy 😂 it was the same with Walker and how you continuously predicted that Anne Budge couldn't afford to not accept a measly bid of 500k lol with such arrogance towards heart. Motherwell were under a lot of pressure to sell Moult over the summer and regected a bid from down south of 400k which they then got from skelping uz

2.) 19 Nov 2017 09:16:29
We should have went for moult in the summer now we might not get him as I would guess a few clubs might come in for him now. maybe even Celtic. our club needs to be run totally different. the amount of money we waste on players is shocking. we are now left with another team of duds. thanks Pedro and thanks board. not happy atm

3.) 19 Nov 2017 09:32:36
I agree he should have been bought in the summer.

18 Nov 2017 03:56:24
I actually think big Alves will get back into the Squad for the Accies Game, its who Murty will choose to partner him in Defense with that I'm not sure of?
I always thought Wilson would turn out to be a top CH when he first broke through at Ibrox, and thought it was a good move bringing him back when we did but lacked consisency.

1.) 18 Nov 2017 08:38:45
I don't think Murty will change anything. It would be abit harsh to change anyone after the last 2 games in my opinion.

2.) 18 Nov 2017 09:55:38
Agree with you Sebo. Whoever disagreed can you tell us who should drop out and why? The only one whose place might be at risk, in my view, is Windass because of his general lack of skill and work rate but he has scored 2 in 2 and given he seems a"confidence" player that would be counter productive, no?

3.) 18 Nov 2017 12:48:27
Liverpool, need to disagree with you on young Windass, think he's been one of the best performers attack wise for us this season, along with Candeias on the other side.

Yes, Windass has had some bad days but these have also fallen on days that the full team did not perform, ie Motherwell Semi Final. I feel he is a bit of a whipping boy for the fans, but he has improved leaps and bounds compared to last season. Better than McKay did for us by this time last season.

4.) 18 Nov 2017 16:37:38
I didn't disagree with sebo but I would have dropped Wilson for Alves.
You play your best players and for me Alves is better that Wilson.

5.) 18 Nov 2017 17:18:23
still standing by your windass comment bearmode mate? arrogant wee tosser that is stealing a wage. nowhere near good enough but knows he will get a game every week. sums up everything wrong with our football club at the moment

18 Nov 2017 03:14:19
Whats the point of bringing in a so called big Name on wages that are OTT for him then not to have money to spend come Transfer Window which most of these Managers expect! I think guys like McInnes Wright O'Neil would be on wages that would be in our bracket. Financially Murty makes sense but in terms of experience he is a massive gamble.
If McInnes doesn't get it then I'd like to see big Tommy get the job. Plus it would mean that O'halloran might actually show what he can do in a Rangers Top! :D

1.) 18 Nov 2017 09:45:45
O'Halloran has already shown what he can do in a Rangers top. Nothing

18 Nov 2017 02:46:18
Not 100% sure BUT I would think that if King and the Board decide to officially contact Aberdeen to get McInnes they would feel confident that he would accept.
I would think that the Sheep have a few Names in mind already just in case it happens with imo Strachan at the top of list.
I know finances are tight but if McInnes really wants to come then the Fee could possibly be negotiated or an agreement to Pay the £800k over a period of time rather than the whole amount Paid up front. Surely Aberdeen would come to some sort of agreement rather than holding on to an unhappy McInnes! They'll get their £800k just not all at once and prob over the course of the Season. Every Club outwith the fuds are stretched financially!
Anyways definitely think Strachan would be their first choice replacement,

1.) 18 Nov 2017 11:01:58
McInnes must be mightily pashed off that the board paid off the Portuguese joker's side in Qatar quickly enough and let him spend around £8 mil.

Just imagine if the board had did the same for McInnes and where we might be now. Definitely not sitting in 4th place and out of Europe against a pub team.

He is obviously interested in the job or he would have ruled himself out but I'm not 100% sure he would want to come without guarantees.

2.) 18 Nov 2017 14:21:28
Although I totally agree Naz, last time the board left Murty in charge for 6 games. It's only been 2 so far and depending on results against the sheep the decision could be made for them! We win both, it's got to be Murty! Lose both and it's Mcinnes. I personally wanted Mcinnes from the beginning and would of been angry had it not been him or Tommy Wright. Now I'm seeing the job Murty's doing and the atmosphere around the place has improved in pressers and performances, if he beats the sheep twice and having the DOF Allen in place, a coach like him keeping it simple could be what the team need. Thoughts fellow bears?

At the very least if Murty brings in 10pts from the next 4 Games then the Club should announce that Murty will remain in charge as CARETAKER MANAGER! I would find this absolutely acceptable and a wise decision.

Thinking that we could keep Murty on as Caretaker Manager until end of Season. Think this would suit both Murty and the Board.
I think that we need to see what Murty is like over a longer period if time before actually giving him the Post! I don't think we can decide on him after 2 Games at this level.
Again letting Murty run the Team and seeing how he goes under Caretaker Manager makes sense.

Been hearing this a lot regarding a compensation fee for Walker and I wish that someone would find out 100% if thisIis true or not and report it. Its something that's been talked about since, day one and you wwould have thought a fud fae the media or a sports reporter would have picked up on it and informed us of the ins and outs of this deal as it does add a different dimension to why Hearts are holding back aa if we are offering 650k then all Hearts are losing out on is 250k still a lot but again it would be nice to know exactly what the deal is.

Really cannot see Hearts passing up 650k. Think that they will want to bring someone in also to replace Walker so even tho this deal may go on a bit Hearts will still want and need a bit of time to secure a replacement. It would be ideal if Dodoo or even Forrester! Went the other way, never say never tho eh.

Do we think that after all the stuff that's came out of Tyncastle about Walker being dropped for the Cup game and now the Season opener that Hearts will actually think that having the Player for another 6/ 12 months will benefit the Club more than taking the 650k.
There not even playing him and we could either walk away leaving them with a seriously peeved Player OR we could lower the bid and include a Player for loan.
Hearts are putting themselves in a dangerous position.

To be honest I still think our strongest Partnership in Defence is Alves and Cardoso! We do need to give McCrorie Games tho, only have Alves for 1 more Season and I'm thinking we might be on the look out for an experienced CH as a pairing of a potential Cardoso and McCrorie is still on the young side?

Yeah Craig but if that is the case then u would think that McInnes would be a better option regarding Wages, dunno how much this Resolution 11 will have an impact on the amount a new Manager could have either in Jan or nxt Year?

Agree Delboy, but if we can bring someone in then Moult would be top of the list!
And due to the fact that we are needing something done to help our left wing and I want to see somebody arriving and if its a loan then so be it! Rather a Loan than buying a Player of low value and taking a risk and having another wage on the Bill for a possible 2-4yrs!

Yeah agree with nearly most of everything that's been posted above! But on paper we're still well in the hunt for 2nd, need to obviously step our game up!
But how much do you think it will take, IF were lucky enough to find ourselves in with a shout to get Moult to Ibrox!

Agree about withdrawing Wilson before McCrorie but was thinking could McCrorie poss fill in at LB if Beerman and Thompson are being overlooked? Which I do not know WHY! If they were tied up with Development Squad duties which stopped them from being included in First Team then after Hodsons last Performance, If Elton is not available then Murty must male sure that either one of the Youngsters can be fielded! Like I said with Alves back in then imo I would put McCrorie at LB anyone but Hodson!
