does anyone else think it might have been ashley who pulled the plug on mcinnes as we all keep seeing once newcastle been sold he rumoured to want rangers?

If that's true them he going to want his own manager in no mcinnes etc?

Kaymer

1.) 09 Dec 2017 10:23:15
Nope.

2.) 09 Dec 2017 11:13:42
Don’t want that guy any where near us man honestly he’s bad for our club if he comes in a will never step foot inside ibrox again until he is gone the guys a horrible virus you can’t get rid of a can’t believe there’s fellow bluenoses on here wanting this guy in after how he shafted is in the retail deal am no saying king is a saint but please no Ashley at ibrox

3.) 09 Dec 2017 11:33:24
Look Mcinnes rejected us, time to accept it.

I was in the Mcinnes camp but tbh after watching that utter dross last night vs Dundee, might be a blessing in disguise. fair enough they got the win but Mcinnes was screaming for the fulltime whistle 30 seconds before injury time was up against Dundee. Honking side, we should finish 2nd comfortably if we get a decent manager in.

Ps. Ashley isn't coming back, it cost the board millions getting rid of him, why do people keep thinking this is an option.

4.) 09 Dec 2017 14:19:52
What has Ashley got to do with anything. he doesn't even have any shares anymore. as for him coming back. pure nonsense. no chance our fans or board would let him back in the door. it's took us 5 yrs to get rid of him. he's not coming back under any circumstances

5.) 09 Dec 2017 14:30:15
Your joking right?

6.) 09 Dec 2017 14:32:02
No away and howl at the moon do you seriously think Dave King is ordered around by Mike Ashley? Are you mental!

7.) 09 Dec 2017 14:33:07
Seriously kaymer?

8.) 09 Dec 2017 19:36:16
del didn't speak to gers
his mrs canned it
fact

9.) 10 Dec 2017 08:14:05
Haha fantastic 😂

10.) 10 Dec 2017 09:45:04
in 5 words;
nothing to do with ashley

11.) 10 Dec 2017 09:50:10
Ashley is coming back. The fans have no day in that. New shares will be issued. King and the 3 bears will acquire the majority and will sell to Ashley and recoup their loans. that's the plan but still waiting ruling re the concert party so nothing is agreed at this point.

Only way the 3 bears can get their money back. Also Murty will be appointed till end of the season. I posted that 10 days ago. The only way the McInness deal worked was if he walked out on Aberdeen and ripped up his contract and he did not want to do that. So that being the case Rangers were not able to do the deal as the Bears would not put any more cash into the club.

05 Dec 2017 10:39:34
Rangers will make their move for Derek McInnes in the next 24 hours as the Ibrox club home in on their new boss.

He is set to be joined in Govan by No.2 at Pittodrie Tony Docherty and Rangers will shell
out close to £1million to Aberdeen for their new management team.

Kaymer

1.) 05 Dec 2017 11:55:37
Is that a guess or have you got info on it. personally i don't know if I want mcinnes anymore. but if he gets the job I will back him 100% it's just strange we haven't made contact with them before now. surely if we wanted him we would have tried to get him before now. if we do make an offer for him after all this time why did we wait so long. I would love to know who else the board have looked at for the job

2.) 05 Dec 2017 12:03:49
Personally I’m glad we’ve held off as we have had a decent points return in that period (not excellent though) where as theirs has been shocking! A fantastic platform for him to build on and I’m not being unfair when I say I expect a points haul of 65pts minimum from here as that is what I think Murty would achieve if left in caretaker till the end of the season.

3.) 05 Dec 2017 12:49:37
If our youth coach can get that level of performance out of that group of players, then image what this titan of the game can achieve. #underwhelmed

As always though, full backing will be given by myself, and many many others, I have no doubt.

4.) 05 Dec 2017 13:21:23
Copy and paste?

5.) 06 Dec 2017 08:06:03
I'm against the appointment of McInnes and always have been, but bringing that republican bigot Docherty with him would be the final straw. He despises Rangers but would happily take our coin. No thanks, Rangers board.

6.) 06 Dec 2017 08:08:13
I’m hoping the Record end up with egg on their faces they’re spouting that we’re offering 1million severance package now, I hope it’s Clarke and everyone’s got it wrong

Rangers manager hunt takes new twist as bookies slash odds on Aitor Karanka.

Kaymer

1.) 01 Dec 2017 07:10:23
Was thinking. What if we approached the Sheep soon after Pedro went AND with us having the £800k or whatever it is, they said that the Deal could only happen until after our double header?
Two big Games and they will not want to go into them Managerless! They will have been on the look out for an replacement weeks ago as they would have known that McInnes was on our List!
Always thought Strachan would be interested in Managing that lot!
Hope their No2 steps up and McInnes gives Wilkins a shout for the Assistant Position :)

2.) 01 Dec 2017 08:13:15
Did Dave king not say he wanted someone which Scottish football experience? I don’t know much about that guy tbh

3.) 01 Dec 2017 10:53:04
I would bring Ferguson into the coaching team

4.) 01 Dec 2017 12:15:55
Gotta feeling that it's between McInnes and McLeish

5.) 01 Dec 2017 12:25:39
Why do people keep banging on about Ferguson as a coach what has he done he was pish at Clyde he thought he was bigger than the club when he was here keep him as far away from the club as possible

6.) 01 Dec 2017 12:46:35
Don't think he thought he was bigger than the club. When you care about something so much and it pains you when your team is suffering. Making noise shows passion and determination to right the wrongs. Was John Brown out of order when he took the mic at the front door of the main stand? Or is he a legend that would't stand by and see the club and fans mistreated?

7.) 01 Dec 2017 13:14:07
I Don't get the anti- Barry Ferguson sentiment on these pages. The guy was one of the best midfielders to come out of Scotland and I know for a fact he used to play for us when nowhere near fit. He has heart and passion which we need in spades. A no brainer for me to bring him in as a coach.

8.) 01 Dec 2017 14:15:56
People going on about McInnes being next manager surely Tommy Wright is better choice+Knows SPL.

9.) 01 Dec 2017 14:26:06
King said there was no one out of contract that was suitable I think McInnes will be our next manager and personally I think he will be a good appointment

10.) 01 Dec 2017 14:40:18
I wouldn't want somebody with the mental capacity of Barry anywhere near our coaching set up.

11.) 01 Dec 2017 17:55:52
I like Barry but think some people are totally obsessed with him being part of the coaching team

12.) 01 Dec 2017 18:05:52
Not obsessed Deano. I just think he might be a good shout for a coaching role. He loves the club and was a great player for us.

13.) 01 Dec 2017 18:07:34
I'd rather have Wright over McInnes any day. Rather have McLeish before either of them mind you

14.) 02 Dec 2017 01:01:57
Im a huge fan of Ferguson from a coaching role point of view. Clyde was his first real non-player job. He bleeds Rangers. Put him under an experienced manager, put him through his badges and i think in 5-10 years he could lead the club. i'd be happy with McLeish/ Ferguson until End of season. Or Murty, as long as the players put in the same shift they did against Aberdeen. Given the pro-Celtic sentiment throughout the league right now i wouldnt be surprised to see Strachan at Aberdeen so Rangers men will be crucial in the next couple of years. Either way, RTID.

15.) 02 Dec 2017 07:59:18
Blueger, sorry pal but this type of view is something which has held rangers back in the past. This job for the boys attitude gave us McCoist as manager - probably the worst ever Rangers manager, a manager that couldn't get us out of the championship, oh and not to forget the 8th highest paid manager in the UK (including EPL) when we were in the Scottish 4th Division. I personally don't like the idea of Ferguson being involved - but if he is I would have far more respect for him if he goes and proves his worth as a coach first, not simply be given a role because he bleeds blue. Remembering that not all players can be good coaches, it takes a certain type of person to be able to impart knowledge and to nurture and develop talent. So rather and just give him a job, let him go and prove that he is a good enough coach to be at Rangers.

16.) 02 Dec 2017 10:30:18
Zikos - calling McCoist the worst manager ever is just disrespectful! No manager had ever been through what he had to a club this size! Just remember we were coasting the league, had beaten Celtic then it all went downhill after admin! Aye granted the lower leagues had some horror shows but the guy stuck it out

17.) 02 Dec 2017 19:54:25
id stick the lower leagues out if i was earnig what he did. if that info about 8th highest paid is true then that's disgusting. hyperbole maybe to say worst ever but definitely was a shambles

18.) 02 Dec 2017 20:11:41
He’s not the worst Rangers managers ever btw, that accolade would be reserved for Pedro or PLG in my opinion however I was raised in the glory years of 9 in row so there haven’t been many!

19.) 03 Dec 2017 00:26:23
Govanfront, apologies for that statement as I was born in '81 and started going to matches in '86 and so can't really comment on before that time. So let me rephrase and say McCoist is the worst Rangers manager since 1985, Fact!

It's amazing how quickly people forget the quite recent past. Yes he had an incredibly difficult time when we went into the 4th division. He only had a few weeks to get a team together and he was able to get one which was able to stroll the league, even though it was the second most expensive in the country. During that season he should have been making plans and foundations for the next 5 years but instead squandered millions of pounds in salaries to has beens like Kevin Kyle etc etc. The team at the time was absolute garbage and was proven to be when we eventually got into the 1st Division. Where not only couldn't we win the league, we couldn't even come second! Granted PLG wasn't successful and neither was Pedro but to come 3rd in a division which he should have been planning for 3 seasons with a massive playing budget is simply ridiculous! Yes the others failed, but failed at a higher level and so technically and factually he is worse.

P. s Its been a few years now since he left and I'm still baffled about having 11 players in the box whilst defending a corner, if someone could please explain the logic in the one I would appreciate it.

Dodoo on loan at charlton till jan.

Kaymer

1.) 01 Sep 2017 06:53:13
Well apparently we're all absolutely raging about Dodoo going out on Loan?
It makes sense tho, its better for him to hopefully get some competitive game time elsewhere. Gets him off the wage bill too plus I don't think that Ped feels the same way about Dodoo as he does about O'halloran and Forrester. Dodoo may have the right attitude and could still have a future although it is a long shot but going on Loan is the right thing to do.

2.) 01 Sep 2017 07:42:00
from what I've seen of Herrera I'd say Dodoo was a better striker

3.) 01 Sep 2017 09:25:32
Andy1872

We better hope that Morelos doesn't get injured. If he does then we have major issues with who will get the goals. Neither Miller or Herrera are prolific and Hardie is very much untried at this level. Really poor position to be in

4.) 01 Sep 2017 10:12:19
Couldnt agree more stewie, the situation is pretty bleak.

5.) 01 Sep 2017 10:13:41
Been saying it all summer our lack of creativity and goals in our team will hurt more than our defensive deficiencies will. I am praying that Pena Herrera come good and Morelos stays fit. Are Nemane , Dalcio, Atakayi good enough to cover Josh Windass if he gets injured or rested on that left side. what's why i am annoyed with didn't sign Jamie Walker.

6.) 01 Sep 2017 10:14:30
Wouldn't agree with that, think herrera can put himself about a lot more than dodoo. He finished his goal really well at the weekend, and with getting to know the british game i reckon he won't be a bad player. Dodoo needs game time, but has potential to become a good player. Loan move is definitely the best thing for him.

7.) 01 sep 2017 10:17:07
we should have went in for moult in the last hour.
we need big striker and he fits the bill. too late ped u didn't listen to your fans

8.) 01 Sep 2017 12:00:34
We can still pick up players without a contract and if we are quick there is a French striker a big bloke I think his name is Diabate he was on loan at the end of last season and he got 8 goals in 14 games for Metz I think in ligue 1 might be worth a risk

9.) 01 Sep 2017 23:04:14
I know I'm being optimistic BUT Pedro doesn't come across as being the type of Manager that takes any sh#t! and any Player who does not take on his work ethics, is dropped from 1st Team Training and moved on. He does not want anybody in or around the Squad moaning about early starts or days off!
This is why when it comes to Pena, he obviously knew the Player had some baggage BUT still brought him to Ibrox!
Pena MUST have something about him for Ped to take the risk and spend over £2m! I'm still 100% behind the Manager and I do think that yeah Pena has it all to do but that the guy does have the talent and will show it. Also how anyone can judge Pena when he hasn't even played a full 90 mins is ludicrous.
Its far too soon to judge the new Players and Pedro!

10.) 04 Sep 2017 10:07:05
i'm sure the lad Declan will be more than capable in Windasses position, he is a left sided attacking wing / back who likes to get forward

08 Aug 2017 16:29:31
Bolton Wanderers are interested in signing Rangers winger Harry Forrester, who is surplus to requirements.

Kaymer

1.) 08 Aug 2017 16:48:55
I'd drive him to Bolton myself

Really disappointed in Forrester. I thought he had something about him when he first came to the club. Terrible attitude and too fond of a good night out. allegedly.

In time he will regret how he has reacted whilst at Rangers. He could have been a decent player and maybe got a move to a Championship or Mid - table Premiership club (Stoke, West Brom) .

It's a steep learning curve when U play for a big club like Rangers, and unfortunately, young Harry has let himself down.

He'll know it in time that he blew a great chance to have a good career in the game

2.) 08 Aug 2017 20:43:46
Think he has some sort of ability but not matched by attitude. One of those who will be looking back in 10 years time wishing he'd made the most of his talent. No sympathy for that type of guy.

3.) 08 Aug 2017 20:52:33
I always thought he was guff and will be glad when he's gone.

4.) 09 Aug 2017 13:24:12
I agree with most, if not all of the above. I have never been a huge fan of Forrester, though I do think he had a bit of ability. I always found his attitude questionable. I just hope he does the decent thing and moves to a club that wants him and does not just sit tight stealing wages from a club that clearly does not.

5.) 09 Aug 2017 13:25:10
Harry forrester is a terrible player lads, let's be honest here! Quicker all the dead wood is away the better

Kaymer

01 Nov 2017 16:14:52
Yes it is a rumour page but there that many names going about

Mcinnis. mccall. de boer. pardew. koeman. big sam. wright. oneill. mazzari. etc etc
We will probarly end up with COAL MAN as manager

Personally gio van bronkhurst for me.

Kaymer

1.) 01 Nov 2017 16:57:39
i hope its mcinnes as he is a died in the wool ranger and will be perfect to move us closer to celtic

2.) 01 Nov 2017 17:56:20
It is ok being diehard rangers fan etc it does not mean everything will be amazing just ask super ally

you can't get anymore rangers than fergie and durranty now there 2 who would have died on the park for a rangers win etc etc but they not really full filled the coaching as top material to become manager to the club they love

3.) 02 Nov 2017 12:56:36
i knwo what u are saying but, i'm not saying he should get the job because he is a died in the wool ranger, he should get it because he knows the league the style of football it takes to be better than the rest and it doesn't hurt the fact that he would love nothing more than to catch celtic .
i honestly think he will make his name as a manger here

30 Oct 2017 07:44:36
