Banking I respect your opinion however I am well aware of the economics of testing and like I said it is quite telling only 2 clubs have so far made any progress with testing facilities. Time will tell if we managed to get the games up and running and what date they start safely.

All you guys stay safe.

Ed033 not trying to be a smart alec but people can be infectious and not be aware or have no symptoms so immune system is not the best test. This is especially true of younger, fitter people e.g football players.

Mr Mojo Rising

{Ed033's Note - Did you just make that up?. The UK government web site says on March 19 2020, C.V. is no longer considered a high consequence infectious disease.

To make my position clear I firmly believe there should have been an investigation to either prove or disprove any underhand dealings however it is clear that Rangers “evidence” just wasn’t compelling enough for the majority. To the second issue of course I wanted the league won on the pitch but so far only 2 teams in Scotland have taken steps to test for C.V. perhaps due to cost so not sure how we could have got football started again. You can’t compare us to England as the money is just not here.

If it had came to it and only Rangers and Celtic could afford the constant testing which can and will be required on an ongoing basis would you want your team to pay it at perhaps the cost of buying a player. We are not just talking about sporting integrity but the health of players and staff and if clubs could not afford it what would the suggestion?

Take a gamble, not test, and hope it is all ok? How would you feel if a player or member of staff died just so we could finish the league without the proper testing in place. I mean even the UK government still haven’t got testing right so what chance have our football authorities got.

Mr Mojo Rising

{Ed033's Note - Our immune systems are the best test because if we feel ill we stay in.

Come on Jyf you are better than that! You know Neil Lennon could say the league was over as he would get slaughtered! I could counter your argument by stating Steven Gerrard said he thought Rangers best chance of a trophy was the Scottish cup but what’s the point. Mangers have to box clever in what they say. As for the Scottish cup who knows how that one will play out.

As an aside why do you guys always have to say things like Lemon, sugar puff teeth Liewell etc. When I post I never feel the need to do that as always use everyone’s proper name as think it only polite.

Jyf and irvger to try and answer your questions as best I can The meeting were Peter Lawwell addressed the clubs was a meeting for ALL club chairmen for discuss the proposed vote and the evidence presented by Rangers and I am sure others spoke but no headline if the Forfar chairman speaks up. You guys are smart enough to know how the press work. The “impassioned plea” sound bite came from one person in the meeting who may have issues with Lawwell again you guys know the score.

Jyf to your point of Rangers could have won the league by 14 points. I don’t imagine, and I could be wrong that when you left Ibrox after losing to Hamilton the chat was that you could still win the league by 14 points. In fact, judging by comments on here and the phone ins most admitted the league was gone.

Thirdly you are correct re the Hearts benefactor giving money to help all clubs in Scotland. Allegedly this is a no strings attached offer but if you believe that you will believe anything. Even Rangers could win the league with 8 games to go! Joke!

As a Celtic fan and also a fan of James Forrest there is no way he is anywhere near as good as Laudrup. Probably the 2nd best player to play in Scotland in recent times after Larsson of course.

C of Ibrox nice one! Don't agree on the football front but can at least agree of the music! SGL I have read a lot of your posts and know you are a passionate Rangers fan sometimes to blinded by your own loyalty. I remember when you were touring Warbouton for the England managers job so with the greatest respect I can't take you seriously. Remember it was only a few weeks ago New Balance were DEFINITELY going to be your shirt sponsor.

Bankie it may have an Astrix but will still say 9. Like I said would have wanted to finish the league on the field but as we are seeing clubs cannot afford the necessary C.V. tests to get it going again. Another report stating both Celtic and Rangers will struggle without gate receipts so who knows what the future will hold for both clubs.

@bankie and TJBB unfortunately for you guys you don’t have a say in what the records will show. There will be no 9.75 or 9.25. IF Celtic win the league next year it will show 10 years in a row and the sooner you accept that could happen the more you can focus on cheering on your team and hoping they stop it. Those are the simple facts. Amongst yourselves you don’t need to accept what happened this year but the records WILL show Celtic were champions this season and if they win it next year it will show as 10. For the record I would have like the SPFL to have held off calling the season as would most other fans as seems like a bit of a non event however I do believe if your are being honest you know there was little to no chance of Celtic having the implosion you talk about on here.

Irvger I share your frustration with the governances of Scottish football. You are right this is sometimes just the distraction we need if we have sensible conversation and discussion. You stay safe and hopefully we can all resume our rivalries in the near future. Too much at stake just now with this virus to let bitterness take over.
