"I think Jamie Murphy is almost a certainty to sign permanently at the end of the season"

Hedging your bets a little with that statement, bear.

" from the word go since pedro went they have tried and tried to make stuff up as to who the new manager might be . they got it wrong simple as. "

Seems to me they said the number 1 target was McInnes. To me they got it spot on. No one expected him to knock it back, though. Can't say I'm surprised by his decision, though. He's enjoying a good spell at Aberdeen with a three year contract. If he'd come to us he could be looking for a new job before the end of next year going on how we currently operate. Where would he end up? He would certainly be on less than he is on at Aberdeen at the moment. The guy made a decision about his future, similar to Billy Gilmour, except he chose not to chase the big bucks.

"He's brilliant at taking the pressure off the players, and that's exactly what Pena needs. "

How do you know this? Are you basing it on his handful of 1st team games? Or do you have a deeper knowledge of him than most?
Also, I can't understand why so many are calling for him to be given the manager's job. He has no track record.

Was it not the fact that he saw the financial black hole that made him walk away rather than some insulting fans?

Sorry, Dc1990, I'm not taking the blame for the team being honking.

Also, I do wish people would give us a break with the romanicisation of the club. Your comment, "Rangers football club for me has always been a family, that's why we always have so many former. players visiting and speaking kindly of us" applies to just about every club.

Sorry to rain on your big parade, but little of your post was fact.

Doom and Gloom? You better believe it. Opinion, not fact.

If DM gets the job, any hope of stopping 10 will be gone. Opinion, not fact.

The guy is a failure on the big occasions and always has been. Might give you that one as a fact.

Finishing 2nd in a 12 team league when on each of those occasions 2 of the top 6 teams were not there is not an achievement. Opinion, not fact.

We are going to pay about £1 million compo for him and sidekick, give a 3+ yr contract (D King says) so possibly a combined wage of £1m per yr. Speculation, not fact.

We will be stuck with him as unable to pay off when it goes tits up. again. Going tit up is opinion not fact. Being stuck with him is a fact.

I am not keen on Murty as manager but Here is a thought, Getting Moult and A. N. Other in January with the Comp money and Murty to end of season, we would be a far better team come end of season and in better position to get a decent manager. Speculation, not fact

Been season ticket holder since Souness arrived, but this could be the last. Speculation, not fact as you say 'could' rather than 'will'.

Really really unimpressed with my lifelong club. Fact.

"So they let him speak to Sunderland so why have they refused us? "

No conspiracy here. McInnes going to any Scottish team would, Aberdeen believe, make that team stronger and Aberdeen weaker. McInnes going to Sunderland would not have the same impact. Its' as simple as that.
Also, after the Sunderland approach, Aberdeen extended Mcinnes' contract and put in a release cause so that they control future approaches.
