Warburton interviewed on Sky Sports and has said he is looking for two more players, one attacker and a 4th centre half. I think this would indicate MW doesn't see Crooks as a CB and more of a midfielder.
I also think the centre half will be Dom Ball on either a loan, or on transfer. This is obviously dependent on spurs deciding where they see him, or even if they see him in their plans.

Considering Crooks was in league 2 team of the year as a midfielder, that should have told you something.

We desperately need both positions filled and quickly. Feel we are very weak in those areas and have no cover.

Biffo were still in great shape, young hardie could be the striker this yr, I hope he gets his chance, he's a natural goal scorer.

Yeah he could be and I hope he is however it may be asking a lot for a young guy to turn into a goal machine. Still think we need to try and get a proven goal scorer.

Statement on Walsall's site says.
"Tom has made his desire to leave abundantly clear rejecting any offer of a new contract, which expires in June 2017, stating that he seeks Championship football in order to enhance his International career. "
Could be a sweeping statement but seems he's set on playing in the Championship.

Don't think he said he would have sorted it Scotloyal, I think he meant he would give us an update on what was going on. Given the history, I think we could be waiting for this to be sorted for a while yet.
