Can we win the league next season of course we can, we will probably sign 10 new players as will Celtic but who's to say our team will be any worse than them. From last season they lost Kyodo, Taylor, Kuhn, their goalkeeper IMO is a bomb scare, and when CCV doesn't play their defence is bang average. McGregor is another year older and I wouldn't have their 20 million pound players engles in our midfield or Idah in front of Dessers and I'm not Dessers biggest fan. So it's all on RM to mould the new signings into a cohesive unit and give us the title back, time will tell if he's the man for the job.

BT good news and bad news. both sets of fans have no patience so good news is if we start well and they don't then their fans won't be long for turning on the board for not spending. however bad news is if it is the opposite then RM no matter if he could be the man won't be the man for the job according to fans.

We do this every year get so ahead of ourselves am just going to tontry keep calm and hope we can be a lot better than last year. Thingvis if we get a run of bad results it's over already for RM with the fans sadly an other a told you so. I like the players were bringing and and time will tell. They were not better than us last year but playing then didn't lose us the league or any cup games it was other teams. my opinion which means nothing but 6 players already out and 6 in. So I'd say and other 6 or 7 players out and the same in again. I'd definitely say raskin dia or hamza will be 2 of the 6 or 7 away with propper yilmaz rabbi and davies.

We need to concentrate on us and so does RM and sure he is, beat the dross we should be beating in this division and we are in a title race it's really that simple.

Angus that is why I'm very happy the new owners won't pay attention to the fans and give him enough time.

The answer to your question is BT in my view is it may be a bit to soon, you can't sort out all the problems in one window, i hope i'm wrong but i get a feeling part of the fan base are ready to turn on the manager before a ball is kicked we have got to get behind the team push them on in every game we can't get to final third of the season then start shouting for heads to roll we can rebuild again we have to give the board and manager time.

How do you know that the board won't pay attention to the fans? If the income dries up from the fans and the stadium is half empty, I 100% guarentee you that the board will pay attention to the fans.

Star I hope so as well that they ignore the noise as it is already the same conversations on here re poor players and wrong positions.

Half the stadium with season tickets paid for, you think that will stop the new owners for not giving Martin the time to put his stamp on things? I really don't.
Angus thinking they will give him more time than the previous board mate, yes players out of positions or players not good enough, some fans are in wrong jobs as they should be managing teams or scouting players.

We shouldn't even look to the dark side across the city, they are not invincible, last season one to ones proved that, we need to consistently beat the wee diddy teams, no offence meant, well a bit was. We can't have these teams coming to ibrox with no fear whatsoever, we get that sorted, then we compete for title.

I'm not sure the 49ers will give him anymore time than he deserves.
They have already stated there is no honeymoon period in Professional Sport when asked the question at the Q and A.
They have been involved with Leeds since 2018 ( minority stake ) and Leeds have had 7 managers in that time.
They are ambitious for Rangers to reach their potential - players and manager will have to show the same desire.

Im all for giving everyone a fair crack of the whip and it's a fresh start not only for the players and us long serving fans. The Motherwell game will be an eye opener for the new players we have to trust that RM has got them prepared for the speed and physical approach they will face. The league fixtures are slightly in our favour as we play before them twice in a row with them at Aberdeen on the 10th and the first OF game at Ibrox, let's get off to a great start and see how they react being behind.

Mystar it's not a good look having half empty stadiums and I am not sure if that will happen but if it does you would be mad to think the owners would not sit up and take notice.

13.) 16 Jul 2025
16 Jul 2025 11:24:09
Ps Mystar that is rich coming from you about fans being scouts ?.

14.) 16 Jul 2025
16 Jul 2025 11:33:03
Storm, I will tell you once again a talented player could be standing face to face with you and you would see nothing.

15.) 16 Jul 2025
16 Jul 2025 11:37:52
What I'm actually meaning here is fans can write players off after only being in the country 3/ 6 months strom.

16.) 16 Jul 2025
16 Jul 2025 11:44:10
Mystar you mean like last season when the season tickets were paid and the crowds started to dwindle and the board acted and got rid of PC. How can the 49ers make money and get us to the level that they want when the stadium is half empty and the fans have turned? Try thinking things through. That is rich, fans as scouts?.

17.) 16 Jul 2025
16 Jul 2025 11:49:29
Old board you think the new want back there man cc? we can only wait and see I'm thinking they will.

18.) 16 Jul 2025
16 Jul 2025 11:52:39
Bb you are one of the ones that writes players off far to early, you're a perfect example of what I'm talking about, remember Palma was better than Sima and Diomande is an awful player I never forget things you have said coldo but you denied the Palma Sima one on a previous user name.

19.) 16 Jul 2025
16 Jul 2025 12:00:50
Of course they will back him, that's why they are signing all these players. Do you think that if we have another shambolic era like we did under PC and Beale and the fans turn that the board won't act? Your delusional if you think they won't act.

20.) 16 Jul 2025
16 Jul 2025 12:10:22
He will not be sacked before Christmas like many fans will won't that didn't want him if Rangers don't kick off the season on fire, you said the other day you want progress in the first games, I'm the same but sometimes is will take a lot longer to gel in the system he plays, but if it doesn't happen straight away I'm giving him plenty more time, look at Celtic when Ange first arrived lost and drew a few in the first games.

21.) 16 Jul 2025
16 Jul 2025 12:14:26
So using Leeds as the example then; when they had minority stake they weren't in control so only part of decision making process. in July 2023 they took the controlling interest and Farke became manager. he failed to gain promotion the first season and they stuck with him. so since they took control they have had 1 manager.
I think if the board see we are on the right tracks then they will give Martin time. It was a different board of directors who were fans last year so they gave in to public opinion quickly. I don't think that will happen using Leeds as the example where they didn't sack Farke when he failed to get promotion. the half empty stadium is always given as the argument but they have the ST money and no matter how poor or far behind Celtic we are fans always renew in record numbers they have leeway to allow this to build if THEY think we are on the right track. we as fans need to support that leeway being given or we will be perpetually second.

22.) 16 Jul 2025
16 Jul 2025 12:42:40
Does anyone actually think it's a good thing when the board have caved to fan pressure. It's happened 3 times in as many years and for me we have went backwards as a club each time we have done this.

Think the board tried thier hardest not to do this last year because I think they knew it was getting the club nowhere. But at the end of the day they acted on fan pressure just like they did in previous 2 seasons.

I think the new guys will be pretty ruthless if they don't see progress but I hope the fans have as little influence on them as possible.

23.) 16 Jul 2025
16 Jul 2025 13:22:12
You've used Leeds as an example.
But plenty of rumblings at the end of the season that Farke wasn't going to get the chance in the EPL.
They have, but I bet my last Dollar if Leeds are underperforming in the EPL he swill get the tin tack whether he got promotion the previous season or not.
And there is no way the new board will stick with Martin if he and the players underperform this season.
He's been backed - he now has to deliver.

24.) 16 Jul 2025
16 Jul 2025 13:25:42
There's no way they won't back him when the noises from the terraces start. After a long recruitment process and them stating so emphatically they only wanted one man from the off, they'd look a bit daft to bag him if he doesn't hit the ground running.

There will be no more knee jerk reactions based on fan discontent. And I'm all for ignoring the noise and giving the man time to get his vision realised.

25.) 16 Jul 2025
16 Jul 2025 15:14:44
Mystar you can tell me what ever you like mate but I know I can spot talent better than you. My dug can spot talent better than you when are we getting a divorce.

Cool storm you keep on dreaming mate, that did make me smile though ?.
