Andreas Skov Olsen linked, Right winger/ fwd at Bologna, danish I think, source was a twitter post in another language, just googled the name, YouTube says he's Messi as per. still Looked though, good finisher.

Bologna paid £5.4m for him just a year ago. Can't see us paying even half of that for a 20 year old.

2.) 29 Jun 2020 20:15:32
Watch a lot of the italian football, watched him before he went there too. Boy has some serious talent.

3.) 29 Jun 2020 22:39:00
When did Genk sign Kent and for how much and how old was he? Point being some players just don't fit into some clubs plans for whatever reason so silly to use the above as a reason he won't be signing he dives.

4.) 29 Jun 2020 23:07:27
Ger88, was thinking more about us splashing out that kind of money for a 20year old who we don't know if he would cut it or not.
Would be more likely if he was brought in on a loan first with option to buy, like Hagi was and like what we done with taking Kent on loan, then buying him once we seen what he could do! The boy does look impressive though.

5.) 30 Jun 2020 00:43:57
Obviously I meant Hagi as well lol. I totally agree the deals with Kent and Hagi were good business in the respect of getting to see how they handle playing for us first. But I think we're crying out for a right winger to complete our attacking 4. Exciting times anyway mate being linked with a lot of players so let's see what happens.

6.) 30 Jun 2020 09:28:29
It’s maybe not the perfect model but one that may work. some of the young players go for serious cash due to being a talent in their home land, there will be times like Hagi where it simply doesn’t work, too young possibly, systems don’t suit, wrong type of manager etc etc this could be a way of us picking up TIL young talent at knock down prices and our Academy and coaching team can hopefully get the best out these lads and eventually turn us a profit?

7.) 30 Jun 2020 13:08:12
100% agree Ger88. Don't think i can handle another season with a #10 being played on the wing, especially if we want the most out of Hagi he must be played behind the striker.

Although I was checking on twitter about Skov Olsen and it looks like it was 2 Rangers fans talking about how we should try and sign him, then a spanish account jumped on and started reporting we were looking to sign him.

8.) 30 Jun 2020 13:32:45
Personally, and I hope I am proved wrong, but I don’t think either hagi nor Kent justified the amount of cash spent, I honestly believe I could have found 2 players for that spent who are proven and needed,

9.) 01 Jul 2020 15:11:00
Kent needs played on the right wing where he can actually take a man on and cross the ball and Hagi needs played at the 10 where he can hurt people. Try telling our manager that though.

I am all for people having an opinion on whether or not they want rid of Gerrard but please don't come back and say names to replace him that will clearly only want to play that exact system that Gerrard is using. These guys like de Boer etc believe in the system so much they will die by it, it does not work over the course of a season here, perfect for Europe and Celtic but not for the rest. We would need an adaptive manager who would change system dependant on the opposition. I personally hope that's sunk in and Gerrard kicks on with it. If he does not change it against Hamilton at Ibrox he never will and it will be the beginning of the end for him. I hope he changed and he kicks on from now.

He spoke about 24 to 48 hours to think. Well if he's still here for Hamilton on Wednesday there had better be big changes in set up/ tactics or he will know all about it. If it is obvious to every man and his dog that this slow side to side possession style doesn't work in the spl, then why can't the backroom staff see it. Just watched some german footy today and the variety in corners was a revelation compared to what we see every game.

2.) 01 Mar 2020 16:17:36
It’s obvious to every man and his dog mate but half the folk on here that want him gone are saying to replace him with guys like de Boer etc who are even more rigid in the system they believe in, it’s madness to swap like for like.

3.) 01 Mar 2020 19:11:13
Correct Coully! De Boer, Gio would all stick to their system they have been brought up with since they were kids!
And if anyone thinks they would prefer a Docherty over an Aribo you are having a laugh!

Guys he is a top striker, maybe lacks a little in consistency over a whole season and the discipline issues have held him back, I think it is maybe the right time to move him on and freshen things up if quality is available to replace him, he will be missed that’s no doubt, but we could end up better off if money is spent wisely but only time will tell.

By the way we have advertised the new strips and the links we are having to heavy price tagged strikers I don’t expect Alfredo to be here for much longer. and if he does then I will thank him for the memories as he’s been a shining light in a pile of rubbish at times.

Now is the time to hoover up all the young talent we can, and if it can be done as early as possible that’s better, bigger money deals will usually drag on and take longer to happen.

Love Morelos as much as the next man, but it’s probably the right time to move him on if a good fee comes in, replacement sights should be set higher than the names mentioned, however I do expect Gerrard to be looking at big physical guys, he knows it’s needed as an option up here, if he goes expect that guy to be Toney or similar costly alternative if he stays I expect it to be an impact guy like dykes etc.

He will be our no2 LB for sure, Paterson hopefully make a step up unless Clyne rumour true for RB.

No one has done better in that position that’s my point, him going is fine if replaced with better, if it was a barker/ candeias debate between Gerrard and Allen that caused the apparent fall out. I’m not saying candeias was amazing but he would have won his place in the starting line up back fairly quickly judging by how we have played on that right hand side this season. Personally I think Kent has looked better on the right the couple of times he has went there, and we should have the others fight if our for the left, hagi middle.

My initial thinking was he was out of shape, however I do think he looked off and out of shape since new year.

I’m not surprised if the fallout was over candeias/ barker, we have nt filled his position adequately since candeias left, he would have had his place back in the team back in no time. He has been missed.

How much would the testing have cost? More or less than 10million? I don’t know the answer to that but it’s food for thought.

He got a hard time for us because he was out of position his whole time with us, he was too slow to play either side, Did well enough and score a few classics, great cm after he left us, he’s been finished for many years now though.
