Apparently the american investors will put 20m immediately into. the club for transfers according to the Expresd also takeover rules have been relaxed so dual ownership won't be an issue.

Can someone explain how they can put £20 mill in for transfers when only 70% of turnover can been on transfers players and couches wages and agent fees all way above me.

Theoretically they can put however much they like in - the process they use to put it in will dictate how we can spend it.

FFP is about to be changed down south for next season. We may be the same up here. That would mean 85% of revenue can be invested. Our revenue was just short of £90M last reporting year. That would mean as a club we could invest upwards of £70M, Player transfers, wages and Agent fees. £20M would be a good amount in the new 'owners' first transfer market. Commercially I can see the Club branching out further afield. End of season and pre-season matches in USA. NFL invited to Ibrox 1 or 2 times a season, similar to what they do in England. Merchandise will be pushed across the Atlantic also imo. The Rangers brand is about to go supersonic. Lol.

The newspapers have zero clue about anything, who exactly from this deal has gone and told someone at the Express exactly how much they will give for transfer?. The papers will literally write anything and everything regarding this deal right now to get folk clicking and 99% of it will be made up.

So are they buying the club with no plan to increase turnover. We have assets like ibrox and training centre maybe there's something on naming rights but I'm only posting what I read.

Staged payments over a period of 3-4 years, the Real Madrid way.

Why don't we wait until we know what's happening as we don't know how much is getting out in etc….

Jasper, we don't need to follow the English Leagues PSR - they only apply down south.
As we obviously intend to play in Uefa sanctioned competitions, we have to align with their 3 Pillars, which allows for far greater flexibility.

Jasper/ EHL but one of those FSR rules is 70% of turnover which I assume we need to hit to retain our licence to play in their competitions. but there are ways they can put money into the club and still achieve that. it is the amortisation of the transfer value which goes into the FSR equation I understand so that could be 10 £20million players over 5 years, i. e. 10 x £2M first year segment of that price. It won't be but.

Sorry EHL. bit snarky in last post. what I mean is one of the 3 pillars is cost control and as of next year that is 70% of revenue on operating costs. as you have said in the past there are ways to invest to get around that though.

EHL, I'm only speculating on FFP/ PSR coming inline with down South. UEFA appear to be acting more relaxed now after agreeing with EPL proposed changes. I'm sure as yourself and others have said, there will no doubt be loads of info being shared about, we'll all get the confirmation of it all soon enough. "Make Rangers Great Again". :)

Twacoos - look at Chelsea. Payment plans and extended contracts. Sell homegrown / youth talent for complete profit and they can spend wisely. The new PTM should then generate player sales on these "new" signings for higher values, allowing us to keep trading players and improving the squad.

Lol, no more snarky than usual, Angus!
I think to try and clear up the whole financial situation.
Currently Cost Control isn't an issue, the current team have done an incredible job of bringing that in to line - this can be regarded as fact.
Uefa are unlikely to align with the English leagues additional restrictions given that elements of them have been successfully challenged in court - just my opinion.
Looking ahead there are loads of weird and wonderful ways that new owners can increase our turnover and invest money into the club without breaching the rules, but one of the bigger drivers will be sustainability - so we may need to temper our excitement.

TT where did I say that? Trying to put words In peoples mouths again? Is your mask slipping again?
No point talking about the amount of money they are putting in as no one knows as they won't even be at that stage yet.
