Besiktas have a contractual right over Weghorst’s employment over the next few months. so the compensation fee would be paid for that “right” so they would be entitled to a fee.

They have a loan deal with out a recall clause in it. so they would agree comp for cutting the deal short and allowing him to be sold to man United. they probably paid Burnley a fee to have him the whole season on loan so they wouldn’t just give that up for nothing….

Correct gdog not there player. I just hope he stays, It would take some cf to replace him, I played cm but on occasion played sweeper, with Morelos on it he terrorises defences and he's very hard to deal with.

As others have said, they are entitled to compensation, they have a signed contract to have the player for the full season without a recall clause, so Burnley are having to break the contract to allow him to go to Man U so hence they are absolutely entitled to compensation.
