Just read on the hearts forum there (yes i am indeed a transfer rumour pervert) that Naismith claims he is ill and won't be in the squad tomorrow so take from that what you will. Personally i'm not convinced that rangers are even interested in him.

Shankland is not good enough for Europa or the Champions league, is getting on in years and is out of contract in 18 months, would not pay a penny over 1.5 mill for him, Surely Kloppen, Clement, Van der heyden have higher profile targets in there sights.
Would rather have Zak Lovelace up front than Shankland.

Think Shankland might be heading south, last chance for big contract for him.

LaudrupHagi. You’re forgetting our bread and butter is winning the league and Shankland would help us do that which would get us into the champions league which we are not in right now. Using Europe as an excuse not to buy a player is a joke.

Laudrup hagi I do like a lot of your comments but if you mean you'd prefer youth given a chance to shine I totally agree but if you believe right now Lovelace would offer more thank shankland then I'm sorry you are completely and utterly wrong, Lovelace is a big strong lad who has undoubtedly got talent but he is very erratic at times in front of goal and decision making is poor, and that's at B level, I do have high hopes for Lovelace but there is absolutely no way on earth you'd select a fully fit Lovelace over a fully fit shankland, to suggest otherwise is beyond frightening.

GJD83 you got it in one in the first part of your post, good to hear your opinion though in the second part of your post, of course Shanks would score more than Lovelace, as Lovelace is a Rangers player and Shanky won't be unless it's in the 1-1.5 mill range.
Surely there are some more raw talents in our setup that will shine in time.
We have a world class youth training academy, time we made better use of it and produced more quality from it.

LAUDRUPHAGI I suppose I'm being quite hypocritical as I always moan about youth not being given a chance and yes I'll say but it's more important this year time an time again but I do think we really really need to win it this year to stop them gathering more momentum again, I just feel I'd rather have a proven goalscorer in the league right now rather than rely on a young lad that's played about 35 mins of first team football for us, especially when we play 1 up front, it's also a huge burden to have on your shoulders especially with some of our less patient fans who would in fairness probably be given more leeway as he's a youth which would equate to about 2.5 games before deeming him utter mince or worst striker in our history, for missing a few chances.
