Have to agree kaiser the biggest fee we've received this summer is the reported 1.5m for Goldson as for wages saved people need to remember we need to cut by 30% so it's not as though Cantwell or Goldson's wage will be spent in total that's why it's fanciful to think we've bid 7m for Whittaker or 7m for Spanish defender.
I accept we are where we are and needs must, but unless koppens has unearthed some real gems. It'll be a long time before we see the club selling players for the type of fee we got for Patterson or bassey or even Aribo.

Lads we can talk about fees but the reality is if they’re duds for us and on far too high a wage who tf is going to take them? Getting them off the books is the most important part of it and the fees are a bonus for a lot of these guys. We’re not exactly a team thriving at the moment so I can’t imagine people lick their lips when they look at our squad. We’re in a transition and these are the kind of deals that need to happen. Let’s get our own house in order before we start looking at other peoples.

I think PC knows he needs to box clever with transfers and ultimately get players in on more manageable wages (so they can be moved on more easily) . In our current climate this means a continued search across untapped markets, as the fees now being quoted for young Scottish talent seems to be going up rapidly…
Get it right today though and it will bear fruit tomorrow.

A loan makes sense because the club is struggling financially, Floyd. In fact, the way many of these days are structured is concerning. The club are now borrowing based on future income to secure players now. Next summer Rangers need to pay £4m for Cotes. Had Rangers signed Kelly that could have been £10m of next summers budget gone.
Not only are Rangers in a poor financial situation now, but they are creating a situation that might financially hamstring the company in the future. Imagine we lose the league this year and need to spend ext summers transfer budget signing that losing team on a permanent basis - Because we are obligated to.
I’m not comfortable with obligations to purchase at some point in the future because I see the way this club has been run in the past. We sold off future season ticket money in 2011 and it almost killed us.

Raskin new deal essential. Should be the clubs top priority. After last nights performance we will be getting a lot more then the 8-10m people are saying on here for him if he gets a new deal.
