Have to agree kaiser the biggest fee we've received this summer is the reported 1.5m for Goldson as for wages saved people need to remember we need to cut by 30% so it's not as though Cantwell or Goldson's wage will be spent in total that's why it's fanciful to think we've bid 7m for Whittaker or 7m for Spanish defender.
I accept we are where we are and needs must, but unless koppens has unearthed some real gems. It'll be a long time before we see the club selling players for the type of fee we got for Patterson or bassey or even Aribo.

I think PC knows he needs to box clever with transfers and ultimately get players in on more manageable wages (so they can be moved on more easily) . A loan makes sense because the club is struggling financially, Floyd. In fact, the way many of these days are structured is concerning. The club are now borrowing based on future income to secure players now. Next summer Rangers need to pay £4m for Cotes. Had Rangers signed Kelly that could have been £10m of next summers budget gone.
Not only are Rangers in a poor financial situation now, but they are creating a situation that might financially hamstring the company in the future. Imagine we lose the league this year and need to spend ext summers transfer budget signing that losing team on a permanent basis - Because we are obligated to.
I’m not comfortable with obligations to purchase at some point in the future because I see the way this club has been run in the past. We sold off future season ticket money in 2011 and it almost killed us.

Want to apologise to big nsiala I wrote him off in summer after my brother played against him as he was absolutely rotten. What a turn around, he looks like a whole new player. So much better for the team and playing agaisnt low blocks with a left footer at LCB.

Seeing a lot of rewriting of history in regards to Stevie Gerrard. People saying he had more money than clement to spend yes he did that’s cause he did a better job and stayed in the job longer as we seen improvement and progression. Gerrard spent 11m in his first season and had a far worse squad to inherit than clement did who spent 16m in his first summer. Gerrards team would wipe the floor with this current team under clement and I actually think clement has better players.

Wishy it isn't rewriting history it is fact. Gerrard spent over £11 million on 6 transfers in his first season but also had free transfers for McGregor, Arfield, Flanagan and Macauley. he also brought in 5 loans. these frees and loans would have wages to fund which would add to the costs he incurred. His win ration overall was 64.5% (including the undefeated season without fans) and he won 1 trophy and reached 1 cup final in his 3.5 years. Overall he got £36M over that period to spend.
Clement in his first year has a win rate of 64% including the dreadful away record. He has spent short of £14M (it is £16M in euros) for 5 players. also got Barron who is £640k fee. that included spend on Dio agreed before he and Koppen arrived so you could argue he actually got less than £10M for his signings. He had 2 free transfers (Nsiala and Kelly) and 2 loans (Cerny and Kasanwirjo) .
Gerrard had a 53% win record in his first season and Clement in this season has 59% win rate.
so with similar transfer spend, much higher loan spend and at least 2 quality free transfers Gerrard actual had a worst win rate than Clement. facts not thought just on a transfer spend.
Not saying PC is the right manager but hate when facts are misrepresented.

Unless we get mega money for Igamane I don't see him leaving this summer. Another full season and we will get a lot more for him. Succesful player trading model is knowing when to sell not to quick but also not holding on to them to long. Cerny is replaceable imo he's been good but for me he's not the be all and end all.
