Jesus this boy sounds like a real player doesn’t he. i'm not aware of him til u brought him to my attention John so I will go have a wee search for him today. But those numbers at that age is going tk attract the big hitters. Even Bayern Munich have took 2 boys from Celtic recently. Need to show the boy there’s a route to the 1st team for him in 2-3 years.

just the same as we lost billy gilmour to chelsea 🙏A lot saying he's one of the best youths they've seen 👌.

We couldn't keep Billy Gilmour so it will be difficult to keep Rory Wilson. He sounds like an exciting prospect. If Gilmour had stayed, I wonder if he would have been in the first team squad and given regular game time? I keep reading that kids are too young to be given a chance, are not good enough, blah, blah. Special players fit the criteria, 'if they are good enough, they are old enough'. Denis Law made his professional debut for Huddersfield Town when he was 16 and was playing in Italy when he was 20 years old. We have got to give some of these kids coming through a chance at some stage. Patterson is a good example of a youngster who looks like a first team player now. Kenny Dalglish signed for Celtic when he was only 17 and made his first team debut when only 18. We need more homegrown Scots in our squad.

Defo doiger mate, my thoughts re this boy is moving tav on next summer and letting Patterson take his place. perhaps give if king a few cup games this season and deciding what to do with Bassey/ maxwell as 2nd choice left back. It would certainly show our promising kids that they will get there chance if they deserve it.

Hopefully seeing Patterson getting a chance will incentiveise the young boys to stay this boy sounds like a star in the making. Not too many clubs are in the position to offer the path we do now. Just be good to see more take the step.
Think rangers have managed Pattersons transition well so far.

I don’t think they can be offered a professional contract until they turn 17 and will be on a youth contract until then. I could be wrong so would appreciate if anyone can clarify.

Is it not 16 we can offerhim a first team contract I have definitely seen 16 or olds playing for other clubs in England and other countries so surely it's the same if not it should be if they are good enough then they are old enough, looks a cracking young player that hopefully we can't afford to lose out on again like Gilmour.
