Did Cordoba fail a medical with us?

1.) 01 Jun 2024 17:54:00
? No he never got that far, seems like his clubs are moving the goal posts on the fee, thinking his value will increase after he plays in the Copa America so we pulled the plug. Think his agent might have something to do with it too.

2.) 01 Jun 2024 18:02:31
Didn’t have one.

3.) 01 Jun 2024 19:52:48
No medical, it also appears Norwich may pull out.

4.) 01 Jun 2024 19:58:41
Seen a story saying he's being hawked around Turkiye (aye the tourist spelling) . Agent trying fir more, for himself likely.

5.) 01 Jun 2024 20:19:36
Good! Hope we tell him to F off!

6.) 01 Jun 2024 20:28:43
As I think we have.

7.) 01 Jun 2024 20:52:25
He made the copa squad and his side put his price up. The fee mentioned above is without add ons I've been told. We agree 1.9m with 1.1m add ons roughly they now want just over 3.5 with another 1.5 m add ons. Just not a 5m player yet.

8.) 01 Jun 2024 22:16:50
Agent/ Levski could feck Cordoba out of a gd move.

9.) 01 Jun 2024 22:48:49
Sorry is it not club who own him that dictate the fee and not the agent?

10.) 02 jun 2024 04:00:09
that’s actual spelling forky, not the tourist spelling, anyway i’m in airport, if anyone else around it’s 4am, let me know and i'll buy you a drink.

11.) 02 Jun 2024 06:40:51
Why I posted the way I did gofor, (Agent/ Levski) u can be sure agent has a part to play.

12.) 02 Jun 2024 06:42:23
Lol Tom, on the sauce already, all the best bud, have a good one.

26 May 2024 15:34:54
Any truth in the todd boehly rumours heard it a few times lately. Originally heard we had British interest but haven't heard it since.

1.) 26 May 2024 16:30:48
That would be quite something.

2.) 26 May 2024 16:33:46
I hope not.

3.) 26 May 2024 16:53:15
Nothing online with any credibility and can’t see the Board risking the season ticket holder backlash. I’d think other investors would play their hand if this was on the cards. Club needs serious investment and it needs to come from somewhere though.

4.) 26 May 2024 16:54:19
I was in the City a couple of times last week with folks that are involved with the Markets and they mentioned that there is a lot of noise that there is interest in Investment with names mentioned including wealthy Scottish, South African and US names mentioned.
I have also heard from a separate source of investment from an existing shareholder, (as has John).

I haven't heard Boehly's name mentioned specifically however he is part of a Consortium and is only one of a number of shareholders.
As I have mentioned before, it is quite likely that Bennett knows the Chelsea guys from his time with Hendersons and with him taking over as Fulltime Chairman with us this summer I would expect new money to be pretty high up his agenda.

5.) 26 May 2024 17:29:38
it isn't so difficult to understand. noone can come in and spend 100M as example, we need to live within our means. someone coming in with cash is only transferring money for some existing shares. sure money can be spent on infrastructure etc but we can't overspend on players as EUFA don't allow it. FFP rules exist for a reason. we need to create revenue elsewhere.

6.) 26 May 2024 17:52:37
Ibrox4me, why would there be a season ticket holder backlash? It would take comparative peanuts for him to invest sufficiently to make Rangers a winning team.

7.) 26 May 2024 17:53:27
Bb what would someone get from investing in us if we are hamoered by fpp what could investment do that would benefit the team?

8.) 26 May 2024 18:03:40
Income has to be generated not donated.

9.) 26 May 2024 18:05:27
What happens in Europe with the multiple team rule? Can us and Chelsea both play in same comps?

10.) 26 May 2024 18:46:14
McMinn, there would be fears that we would be being acquired almost as a feeder team/ club. After everything the rank and file supporters have been through over the last decade plus, putting significant money and time into supporting in blind faith, I don’t think it would land well.

11.) 26 May 2024 18:19:25
After seeing how he's running Chelsea, the Yank can keep his cash even if he wasn't running Chelsea like he was no thanks we can't afford to have anyone who has shares in another football team and again all the funds he could give us could only be used for the Stadium training facilities and retail outlets he can't invest in the Squad that would be breaching the Financial fair play rules.

12.) 26 May 2024 18:23:36
Hopefully not.

Would be a disaster.

13.) 26 May 2024 19:34:05
OneWalter, a lot depends on the Investors other Businesses and it isn't just the share acquisition. A US Investor that has other Sports involvement Stateside can cross benefit from the Rangers Support in the States, Investors in the UK could also benefit from the PR, especially if the Stadium was to be Sponsored by their Company.
Of course a wealthy investor that is Rangers orientated could equally secure ownership, or be part of Group of likeminded people, in general they just need to be more willing to invest serious money than Parks was.
Companies will spend money to secure naming rights and with us in Europe on a recurring basis would give them good cover.
The problem that I see in the recent past is that Parks secured significantly more coverage than was merited for their sponsorship. Other Board Members appear to be more there for the Blazer and Club Tie than taking Rangers to the next level.
We need new Blood and new ideas.
I am hoping that Bennett will bring change and I suspect that a lot of the noise is because folks in the City are assuming the same.

14.) 26 May 2024 19:40:11
Is there not something about having loses covered by owner shares? Think I read somewhere that was the case in England any loses over 15m were secured by owner shares whatever that means. So would imagine there is something an investor can do but as you say ffp may scupper us from what an investor can do.

15.) 26 May 2024 20:06:44
Really appreciate your input in this subject Berkshire blue. You clearly understand what this means for Rangers than most of us posters do (I mean people like myself) . I think we have to think beyond next season and hopefully a big investor could maybe help with stadium development as we always will start the season behind them until we catch up with them in income and that means growing the capacity.

16.) 26 May 2024 20:50:09
A very good post Berkshire.

17.) 26 May 2024 21:21:54
FFP relates to ridiculous transfer fee spending, we don't need that we just need to compete with the vast majority of real clubs in Europe at the sensible level of spending.

Buying the champions league is fake and worthless I'm sure the real Man City fans for example want their club back from the glory hunters and geeks that have turned up, same with Chelsea and Arsenal and certainly very soon Newcastle fans who can't get their long term seat now, quite often lifelong involvement.

18.) 27 May 2024 08:15:59
Because if FFP rules like numerous people have correctly stated we can’t spend given money so anyone that is looking to invest is only going to do it for their benefit in the hope that the share price rises. I am happy with our current board. They have steadied the ship and gave us a workable foundation to build on.

19.) 27 May 2024 09:11:11
Good accurate post Berkshire,

Also agree with your post aus.

20.) 27 May 2024 10:22:24
God hope not when has an American ever been good for a football club lol.

31 Mar 2024 10:04:41
John or anyone in the know are you hearing anything about potential investment?

1.) 31 Mar 2024 10:44:20
Ah that time of the season.

2.) 31 Mar 2024 10:47:11
Well it is about that time of year ?.

3.) 31 Mar 2024 11:23:52
The Hong Kong consortium perhaps ??.

4.) 31 Mar 2024 13:15:25
Hong Kong Bluey! I'll get my coat.

5.) 31 Mar 2024 13:39:45
Is that your new name for next year RTR.

6.) 31 Mar 2024 14:16:50
??? I never even thought of that, Flb, but it's definitely in the mix now, mate!

7.) 31 Mar 2024 16:06:45
Nicolás Romero possibly young and looks like contract running out?
This was only a quick Google btw am not saying my sources or any one told me.

8.) 31 Mar 2024 20:34:33
Hong Kong phoey, Jesus that takes me way back?‍??.

9.) 31 Mar 2024 22:23:43
Number one super guy, Fork!

10.) 31 Mar 2024 23:05:31
Lol what was it " fanriffic" ah think??.

11.) 01 Apr 2024 13:06:15
Are we going to sign "Henry, the mild mannered janitor? " "Could be! "

12.) 01 Apr 2024 16:45:46
Who's that guy that owns the Hong King restaurants chain? Anyway these blazers and badge imposters we have will never give up their seats and allow a new face with real money in.

13.) 02 Apr 2024 17:51:23
There was a lot of talk about new investment at the back end of last year and as both John and others posted there has been interest from existing Shareholders and from a guy in the whisky trade.
Last comments that I had, which was in the City, (London), was that there was interest from the US, (possibly an existing shareholder or linked to an existing shareholder).

There was previously interest from the Far East but I'm not sure whether the current political situation, and the issues with Hong Kong have put paid to that.
Unfortunately I haven't been at any meetings with the guys that have previously commented as I have pretty much retired and tend only to be in London for Charity Meetings these days but rest assured if I hear any rumours from reliable sources I will post them.

What I would say that, with John Bennet becoming full time Chairman this summer it wouldn't be too much of a surprise if new investment was secured.

11 Feb 2024 17:01:55
I know this is the usual time of year for it but has anyone else heard about another investor looking at investing? Not sure what level but it's British based.

1.) 11 Feb 2024 17:45:27
Just a random thing, watching Airdrie v Hearts and Liam whoever he is saying Hearts lost aet to Rangers in 2022, also mentions losing the 2 to Celtic but no mention of one being on pens, just typical Sportscene.

2.) 11 Feb 2024 19:08:51
Cant stand him, always get he feeling he's doing something downstairs when Celtic are playing.

3.) 11 Feb 2024 22:34:06
Didn’t see the hearts game but assume you’re talking about Liam McLeod.

He’s an Aberdeen fan and I agree have thought for a long time his commentary is always for more vigorous when Aberdeen/ celtic score vs when rangers score and more vigorous when teams score against rangers.

Maybe I’ve got the tin foil hat on but sounds like I’m not the only one who has noticed.

4.) 12 Feb 2024 07:38:14
Sometimes think sheep lovers have same mental deficits the mob have, sheep thing goes back to Simpson Durrant thing, the mob thing prob goes back to Adam n Eve.

5.) 12 Feb 2024 08:00:14
Thought went back to Rougvie -Derek Johnstone.

6.) 12 Feb 2024 08:39:33
Might well do bankie, always thought it was the durrant thing.

7.) 12 Feb 2024 09:17:59
Alex Ferguson started the 'hate' thing v both Glasgow teams, but Rougvie and Simpson, took that to another level v us.

8.) 12 Feb 2024 10:40:36
He is a Sheep fanatic. Can’t stand his rubbish commentary.

9.) 12 Feb 2024 16:08:03
That not a bit strange BAR72, he was a Rangers player. I may be wrong but find that weird.

01 Oct 2023 13:36:29
Info I'm hearing is he's not being sacked board are sticking with him. Think it's due to lack of achievable candidates.

1.) 01 Oct 2023 14:44:33
In other words, lack of available options who are out of work and would be free. This is going to be a long season if we stick with the car salesman.

2.) 01 Oct 2023 14:49:51
A lack of achievable candidates is no reason to keep him in his job. It’s only going to get more toxic it’s been done since he bottled it against Celtic at ibrox. It’s so bad I’d even take someone like Warnock to steady the ship for the next couple months. 30 odd years experience and a good man manager. He wouldn’t take the bs some of these wasters are giving us every week.

3.) 01 Oct 2023 15:04:55
It's too depressing to think about but same person that told me he wasn't leaving last time tbh i'd rather have given gio the same length of rope as beales had. i'm hoping our investors pressure a move. Bisgrove isn't a stupid man he must see the writing?

4.) 01 Oct 2023 15:26:00
I’d go get Kevin Muscat . Highly rated by big ange, he’s worked under big ange twice, he’s succeeded him twice both times successfully winning the league . Big ange also recently talked him up in an interview we’re he stated he thinks Muscat will be the next Aussie manager to make the breakthrough in Europe and every the epl .

5.) 01 Oct 2023 15:39:58
If we’re stuck with Beale and Benny hill till the end of the season it’s going to be a catastrophe unless the geezers are concocting a master plan. I doubt it though?.

6.) 01 Oct 2023 15:47:10
Walter i'm with u just want it sorted i dread saturdays atm.

7.) 01 Oct 2023 15:47:31
This is bs, John has already told us we spoke to 3 candidates since Celtic game.

8.) 01 Oct 2023 16:33:32
Storm just passing on hope I'm wrong and John's right.

9.) 01 Oct 2023 16:53:12
Absolute nonsense. There's plenty of available candidates. What's most likely is that they have someone they want (which our board have previous for) and he's in a contract till a date in the future. If we look to Japan we might not be far away as Muscats contract runs out in December.

10.) 01 Oct 2023 16:59:22
Also storm celtic game was a month ago does seem like unachievable or undesirable or theyd be in post. Are the people in charge waiting until the seasons gone before appointment of new manager. I want beale gone asap but apparently we don't look to have a replacement.

11.) 01 Oct 2023 17:17:26
Cool mate.

12.) 01 Oct 2023 17:51:51
If big Dunc wins next 3 games he will do fine, he might be able to show Dossers how to hit a buffalo on the bum with a banjo because right now he's laughable, slow and laughable actually. Lammers ain't speedy Gonzales either and has a heed like a biscuit tin .

The clinchers for me recently were Jack on for Matondo at 5-1 down and Soutar on for Matondo, Beale does not have a clue and his 2 pals are obviously worse . Not sure why 3 idiots are needed to be imported when we could find 3 locally and save on bus fares.

13.) 01 Oct 2023 18:08:08
Storm representative of three candidate. Two r unemployed as far as am aware.

14.) 01 Oct 2023 18:11:17
We are away to Stmirren on Sunday we could be 6 points behind them if we don’t win, which is total embarrassment, I would rather have our ladies manager than Beale never wanted him never rated him, we also have a right few players stealing a wage.

15.) 01 Oct 2023 18:28:56
I'd still rather take a gamble on another foreign manager that nobody knows than stick with Beale. It's clear it's not working under Beale may as well take gamble

Hell I'd even gamble on Kevin Thomson before keeping Beale.

16.) 01 Oct 2023 18:29:43
Tongue and cheek before anyone loses their ?

I'd prefer a well experienced manager.

17.) 01 Oct 2023 18:43:49
Is one of those candidates Gio?

It would be interesting if it was as he could sort out the players that stabbed him in the back not long after leading them to an European final.
After sorting them out he could be given the opportunity to build his own team.
I’m getting the feeling there’s more wrong internally at the club than the manager.

18.) 01 Oct 2023 18:54:59
A manager's name i've just been told is marcello gallardo ?have you heard anything regarding that name John227? ?.

19.) 01 Oct 2023 18:56:33
It's depressing but I think hell be in place on Thursday hope he's wrong.

20.) 01 Oct 2023 19:10:03
Dessers is a dumpling, no argument, but Big Dunc didn't exactly shine in a Rangers strip either. I wouldn not even bring him to coach the strikers, never mind manage our club. Just like Forest Green, Caley have gone for a huge publicity stunt which probably won't do them any good.

21.) 01 Oct 2023 19:11:42
were you not meaning 3 candidates for DOF Not 3 Managers to replace Beale if so would mean 55Rangers info would still stand possibly board sticking with Beale?

22.) 01 Oct 2023 19:27:45
So much for your source.

23.) 01 Oct 2023 19:32:45
Unfortunately can't see him being sacked til winter break at earliest. However, when St Mirren beat us next wknd, that might change.

24.) 01 Oct 2023 19:37:12
I’m talking about three names for manger.

Watere re marcello gardillo, not heard that name I’m sure he’s never managed outside Argentina.

25.) 01 Oct 2023 19:53:15
Ex river plate manager most successful in years I believe left at end of his contract never got sacked and was at them for 8 years would be some appointment.

26.) 01 Oct 2023 19:55:04
Beale sacked.

27.) 01 Oct 2023 19:57:43
Orange as I said I'm if he's wrong great I'm not looking for kick in the guts over it. Person I know is normally pretty sound with it just sharing what he said. Didn't enjoy posting it and probably won't again but it's what I was given. John have any of the managers we've made contact with turned us down?

28.) 01 Oct 2023 20:34:42
55 u post what u hear and what u want.
Most off us know what a rumour site is

55 my info we sounded agents re interest and received positive responses.

29.) 01 Oct 2023 21:56:44
Nah I'll take a break after that 1 thanks John. His info was we were struggling to get who we wanted so hope that's wrong too.

55rangers's banter posts with other poster's replies to 55rangers's banter posts

18 Jun 2024 11:48:13
Hamza igamame is surely a project player he looks (highlights only) like morelos strong can turn a player but his finish looks worse. 200 mins a goal too stats don't tell everything but they are an indicator. I'll get behind him if he does come but not sure he'll be better than dessers unfortunately.

1.) 18 Jun 2024 12:49:08
He looks to get shots off far quicker than Dessers so that’s a start.

2.) 18 Jun 2024 12:57:18
And you have came to that conclusion from some highlights on you tube, if he signs then we will need to see, he’s probably been watched live and been studied over footage over a period of time.
Just got to trust the scouting team, that’s all we can do.

3.) 18 Jun 2024 14:24:02
There can't be many 21 year old strikers with amazing stats and if there is we're not getting them. I think we'll be looking to get the spine of our team right this year Butland, a first choice CB, a proper number 6 and a goal scorer. Out with that bringing players in with potential and a hunger to prove themselves and develop is the right way to go imo.

4.) 18 Jun 2024 19:45:32
His finishes were good, quick, strong and not scared to fire a shot off, we are all guessing on these players, after 90 mins he could be the next McCoist or the next Sandaza.

11 Jun 2024 16:54:57
Just a thought but should our next new signing this year not be a new set piece coach? Cany defend a set piece can't score from one just a thought.

1.) 11 Jun 2024 17:04:42
That's more on the players than anything tbh goldson is one of the world at attacking a corner I've ever seen.

2.) 11 Jun 2024 17:29:26
One of the worst***.

3.) 11 Jun 2024 17:50:29
I agree 55, we badly lacked a set piece coach last season and it showed, mentioned this in the pub a hundred times before hopefully my moaning got back to big Phil ?.

4.) 11 Jun 2024 18:26:26
Perhaps if tavernier leaves we'll have someone stepping up who's capable of taking decent corners and free kicks going forward as his efforts with the exception of the odd cracker of a goal from a free kick leave a lot to be desired. When Tav takes a corner he'd be as well just passing it to the oppositions keeper.

5.) 11 Jun 2024 19:35:34
Sir Walter, Tav cannot defend I’ll concede that but not too much wrong with his corners and free kicks, the problem was we lacked aerial ability in the box.
Hopefully that’s something we remedy this season.

6.) 11 Jun 2024 19:43:59
Amazing at scoring headed own goals. the europa league one was one of the best headers I've seen haha.

7.) 11 Jun 2024 21:53:01
Corner kicks are the route to goals at ALL levels. It's how the UCL was won, how Dortmund got to the final, hoe England beat Bosnia. In the final, we had took excellent corners and couldn't capitalise. A theme through the season. 100% agree that were we able to attack and defend corners better we would have won a treble! Also, a lot of the poor defending from corners wasn't actually from our defenders. So time to keep 4/ 5 at the halfway line? Oh, and it was a duff corner that put us out of Europe too. So 4/ 5 at halfway for attacking corners as well to stop the breakaways.

8.) 12 Jun 2024 06:07:35
Like Austin Mcphee that does it at Villa n Scotland.

16 May 2024 14:25:57
All the posts on here about the players and team and manager. When beale left I'd have taken at tight title race a cup in the bag and a cup final. Blame Beale for the league tbh.

1.) 16 May 2024 14:48:12
So, if you're blaming Beale (who I was not a fan of at all) for us blowing the league, are you prepared to give him the credit if we win the SC? Nope, didn't think so!

2.) 16 May 2024 15:54:35
Why would I give him credit for the Scottish Cup if we win it? If he was still here and we hadn't lost as many points under him then yes I'd give him credit. But it's his choices that curtailed our season.

3.) 16 May 2024 16:13:51
I blame Beale for the lack of wide players in the squad, which has ultimately cost us the league in my opinion.

When Beale went I was probably the most disillusioned I have ever been as a Rangers fan. Clement brought back my belief but at end of the day there have been too many passengers in our squad for too long.

I am looking forward to what PC and NK can do over the summer into next season.

4.) 16 May 2024 16:32:31
End up Beale didn’t get a tune out the players and Pc is struggling also now as must have the passports out to go on holi.
We need a new team and captain. All easier said than done.
£25m to spend on players is to believe. Can’t see it.

5.) 16 May 2024 16:42:52
It's Beale's fault for the players he brought in, it's the players' fault if they don't have the balls to fight for the team.

6.) 16 May 2024 15:59:25
Blame the incompetent players. ???????????.

7.) 16 May 2024 17:41:17
It’s partly Beale fault but majority is down to the players.

Bit strange to give him credit for the Scottish cup tho he does need a bit of credit for league cup roofe very strange comment.

8.) 16 May 2024 18:21:44
Beales signings weren't the best but let's be brutally honest here, they should have been more than capable of beating motherwell County and dundee that's for sure. Would many if any those 3 teams players get into our starting 11? No! So if you have a team more than capable of beating these teams and set up the proper way to beat them and it doesn't happen, where did it go wrong? Is the million dollar question.

9.) 16 May 2024 18:33:16
Are you for real Storm? Where do I give him credit? I was being ironic.
It's the absurdity of posters blaming Beale for us ballsing up the league even though we were top not long back with the chance of pulling clear. Jesus wept!

10.) 16 May 2024 18:38:44
big phil bought into the hype when we went top of the league and rodgers played him he needs to learn from this players he said were his
backbone let him down the cup final
already looks to have green ribbons
om it so mr clemment show the fans
that you can set this team up to compete with the other mob.

11.) 16 May 2024 19:54:53
I heard a stat that said of Beales 9 signings last summer only 3played in more than 40% of our games, is that right?

12.) 16 May 2024 22:18:40
Beales signings weren't terribly bad on paper, the problem we had is he thought he could mold and bond them all together and create a great team.

There was nothing worse than seeing these guys look so basic and out of place compared against another team who brought in very suspiciously cheap J-League players who have took the piss in our league on several occasions and done us many times in the process.

Who would have thought Dessers stayed fit and got us 22 goals eh?

Beale is a number 2 at most and needs to come to realise that!

18 Feb 2024 20:31:36
Today was a great result but next three games are crucial to keep pressure on them. 9 points could see us in a great position.

1.) 18 Feb 2024 21:39:05
PC is getting a tune out him but his train of thought is slower than 2 nights in the Bar-l. fix that flaw and he's a winner . even has his own song the fans love singing. must say though Iamonde impressed the s*** out of me today. his goal was a cracker.

Defo 55 absolutely crucial mate. We weren't at our best today but not that it matters, 3 points 3 goals no injuries couldn't ask for more, would have liked big dessers to get one right enough.

funny to be honest, every time i read about games someone says next game or games are crucial. every game is crucial is it not. we have to win in order to not rely on other teams dropping points. let's see if the boys can take the pressure of staying top and not get complacent in any game. i don't think PC will allow that to happen for sure.

Spot on Geesa, the Manager emphasises that at every interview, he will not allow complacency to set in.

Just a thought but we are looking to find 10mil year but was the naming rights for ibrox not mentioned at 10 mil a year?

I think if anyone offered us 10m quid a year for staduium naming rights then Ibrox would have a nice new name.

Onewalter the investment I've heard is british nothing concrete though and it's an existing investor trying to sell share holding apparently.

Not sure Bisgrove would have any say in who gets signed.

Depends on what a team wants to pay. Like lawrence tbh think he is the kind of player to unpick the low block. Faster open games not so much its rangers' problem atm it's as if we need two different teams one for Europe and 1 for scottish league to deal with hammer throwers.

Not sure barron will be a starter he'll be in rotation. Think Raskin and diamonde will feature heavier this year.

Gers99, Danilo might be a main man but not sure. Think the way we play under clement we need a dominant striker who can finish and a striker with pace in Europe not easy to come across though.

Stig I'm with you I'm not a huge scotland fan under Clarke but if they played decent football and stopped booing rangers players I'd be behind them. I like England because of the team but hate the media that comes with them. It's a Southgate interview at half time for every game even when it was Scotland it'd a joke.

They have already they've said there'll be a delay. A statement of don't believe the Celtic information machine only feeds into their narrative. Subsidence I don't believe you would have seen a problem before now. Asbestos I do believe but it's not the end of the world if done correctly. I'd be tempted to believe we have a delay. this isn't an easy project but will get over the line now.
