I said on weds that Rangers should get 2 goals up and change the team and get critical players off that park ASAP, some who don’t know the damage both short and long term didn’t see the importance of that, playing on plastic damages the joints and can have a massive impact on the muscles, turning and tackling is putting more stress on the bones and ligaments, it’s time these pitches were banned completely.

Tomthumb12

1.) 18 Sep 2020 17:28:15
Totally agree, my old joints can testify to that.

2.) 18 Sep 2020 17:46:22
although i agree i don't like the pitches it don't seem to effect the pros who play on them evwry single day? livi etc. and surely a better surface than red ash growimg up which young lads seem to play on no bother?

3.) 18 Sep 2020 18:33:05
one thing about red ash is that you never went to ground unless absolutely necessary lol, plenty or memories picking bits of ash out my knees many times.

4.) 18 Sep 2020 20:06:33
didnt play on it often being from east coast. but we played a few away games in scottish cup for school. most notable was lourdes academy last 16. we got battered.

5.) 18 Sep 2020 20:27:40
Try black ash, in provanmill.

6.) 18 Sep 2020 20:46:24
The ash pitches were murder. Hated playing on them. Didn't play on astro till I was about 38. Leg muscles aching after every game. On grass, no problem.

7.) 18 Sep 2020 21:28:24
Totally agree tomthumb there's probably only 3 people in Scotland who actually like these pitches and that's the chairmen of livi, Hamilton and killie.

8.) 18 Sep 2020 22:07:33
Nothing better than a mitre Mold master scudding you full force anywhere really on the body. That feeling of chocking to cry but ye cannot because yer teammates will slate ye forever. Haha. Can feel it the noo.

Dont Greet don’t greet! Haha.

9.) 18 Sep 2020 22:09:38
Loved black ash but red ash had big lumps in it scratched legs to hell.

On a sombre note and I'm sure there are many people who flick through or use this rangers forum who are also racing fans, like myself, sad news tonight that legendary Irish jockey Pat Smullen has passed away at 43 years of age, pat had pancreatic cancer and, like my own young brother found that the worst of cancers, A fantastic and gifted jockey who reached the pinnacle of horse racing many times and fought hiss challenge with incredible courage,

Thanks for the winners Paddy, and the memories.

Any guys interested in a over 50s football fives tourney I’m organising let me know, hopefully there will be a few former players and coaches attending for charity, it’s still up in the air re, C.V. rules but I’m hoping it goes ahead, although there is some discussion about what fives pitches are suitable, a bar and buffet will be in operation hopefully so watch this space,

09 Sep 2020 14:59:23
If anyone’s interested in the racing I have a strong word for Starcat in the 3,45 at Doncaster today.

Tomthumb12

1.) 09 Sep 2020 17:10:10
Strong word? Finished 4th beaten 4 lengths!

2.) 09 Sep 2020 17:54:19
Tomthumballoy strikes again!
Get yourself down the imaginary pub and win it back of the ex-celts and the Shellsuit in side bets👍😂.

3.) 09 Sep 2020 17:59:43
Never take tips.

4.) 09 Sep 2020 18:24:21
And then make a complete and utter fool of yourself and get mugged off on Twitter 🤣.

5.) 09 Sep 2020 18:39:17
No need to take the pee out the guy he had a tip and gave it’s up to everyone else if they back it or not and I ain’t the guys biggest fan but no need for it.

{Ed001's Note - isn't that banter?}

6.) 09 Sep 2020 19:57:02
That's what I thought just banter chill out kj.

7.) 09 Sep 2020 20:08:25
Nicely put KjA9, how many people on here dyou think put money on it, I'll guess 0.

8.) 09 Sep 2020 20:44:10
Ed yes it can be banter sometimes but other times no as I said the guy didn’t need to put it up no need for the abuse one mans banter is another and bullying.

{Ed001's Note - none of this was abuse, you are certainly not in a position to cast aspersions. Wind your neck in for heaven's sake.}

9.) 09 Sep 2020 21:49:05
It’s cool mate I can take it, I lost quite a few quid, bb I don’t take you seriously but I’d love to know how my local boozer, which I’ve just left, is imaginary son? You get excited seeing my name kid? I’m off to the lakes at the weekend, would you like to come?

Coi, what are you talking about.

10.) 09 Sep 2020 22:09:36
Whoosh, that post went right over your head TomThumb 🤪😂
Just watch the company you keep down that imaginary pub, it might cost you a lot of money ( or make you it ) . 👍
If you know, you know 😉👀.

11.) 09 Sep 2020 22:15:49
It’s was a pop at the bold bhoy Timalloy mate lol.

12.) 09 Sep 2020 22:26:13
I can’t see him starting tomorrow. Comes on last 15/ 20, scores, concedes no injury. I’ll be happy.

13.) 10 Sep 2020 00:01:48
My pub is imaginary guys, that pub I just left not long ago, it’s actually called the morven bar.

06 Sep 2020 17:17:35
On a sunnier note, I’ve just had 200 on the big Irish winner today at 7/ 1, followed up by Donnelly Rainbow at Musselburgh for a 40@ 8/ 1,

Anyone interested I have an interest in a 20/ 1 shot Joyful Star in the 5,30.

Tomthumb12

1.) 06 Sep 2020 17:45:40
Oops, sorry about the last one chaps, I had a score e/ way, never ran a message,

Goodly day all round, anything on Morelos today?

2.) 06 Sep 2020 17:46:25
Good lift Tom 👍.

3.) 06 Sep 2020 17:56:14
Are you Timalloy in disguise? 😆😆
I'll meet you at the imaginary pub later for a pint👍
Well done, nice wee lift👍.

4.) 06 Sep 2020 18:49:05
Timalloy on the 4-7-20 at 17-21 posted he had ten pound ew at 50/ 1 and made a 40 pound profit.
Stevie the bookie from Still Game must have set up shop over in Tainted Town cause a tenner ew at 50/ 1 would have returned a 70 pound profit.
Timalloy=Timalie ☺.

5.) 06 Sep 2020 19:11:03
Brexit jam depends if it’s 1/ 4 the odds or a 1/ 5 of the odds

1/ 5 of the odds £110 back £90 profit
1/ 4 of the odds £135 back £115 profit.

6.) 06 Sep 2020 19:47:05
Kja9 your right, I knew his total stake was 20 but I took 40 off by mistake and I was doing a fifth of odds.
Well Spotted mate.

7.) 06 Sep 2020 23:18:43
What the thunk has timmalloy got to do with it.

8.) 07 Sep 2020 06:57:25
TT he is the Ed for the horse racing page.

Btw. There’s a guy just below who says the boy looks like a player, scores goals, “ could be a gem”

Wonder which poster has actually seen the guy play.

Naw coldo, that’s why I didn’t give an “ opinion “ on the boy, because I know nothing about him.

Funny, your missing the point, saying a guys “ rubbish “ when you have never watched him play isn’t an “ opinion “ mate, it’s a false statement, there’s a massive difference.

To be fair mate there’s been some crackers too, and many of them, the money thing isn’t English clubs showing off or anything like that, it is because they are handed massive sums through the EPL and associated sponsorship and worldwide television sales and they have to spend that kind of money to stay involved in the top echelon.

Watched him a few times m he’s a goal scorer, then tell us how easy it is to stop him?

How’s he a goal scorer then mate? Only asking as it’s quite bizarre that he manages to score goals.

Snell, you’re saying Greg Stewart is stupid, he’s not, what you are actually saying is because itten is just here and is a foreigner then it’s stewart who mustn’t know anything, maybe it’s itten who didn’t understand,
Very disrespectful and very arrogant, you have no idea what exactly was said,

How can you want one keeper to stay in but be out a couple of weeks down the line.

As someone who spends a lot of time in Split, I have a lot of Hadjuk stuff, cups, memorabilia etc, what a pity I won’t be able to watch them again at ibrox
Don’t know what the guy above is talking about, great draw? Fs, it’s as tough as it gets really.
