Guys the comments on katic are seriously unfair.
The man's been injured for a year and during the preseason before his injury he was the best Ch we had.

I think we should give him a chance he wears his heart on his sleeve and fights for the club.

Defenders notoriously peak later in there careers, bonucci at 24 was no where near the player he is today.

Don't write him off too soon.

Looking forward to seeing Katic return. No questioning his attitude and commitment. Told he’s added muscle and strength and was good enough to represent Croatia at u21. Hope we see him soon.

I don't think anyone wants him to fail?
It's just he's been out with a major injury and none of the errors in his game will have been rectified in that time.
Our CH's all stepped up last year - unbeaten domestic campaign, less bookings and goals conceded.
That's why most think he would be better of on loan and getting game time before coming back and forcing his way into the first team.

You can do a lot of studying of game while injured mph. No reason he can't come back more switched on, I agree unless we lose a CB tho he would be better out on loan for games.

Mph I accuse no one of wanting the boy to fail but most want him sold or loaned.
During the preseason before his injury he looked the part his errors of the previous season looked rectified. I just think we should give him a chance after all the second half of last season balogun gave me the fear.

I know John as you know I'm all for opinions of all sides.

My opinion was some comments writing the lad off were unfair. Especially ones saying the club has moved on. I wonder if Liverpool will have moved on from vvd because he's been injured for roughly the same amount of time.

The difference is Liverpool missed VVD last season.
With Rangers having an unbeaten domestic campaign, less goals conceded and improved disciplinary with our CH's we never missed Katic one bit.
I've said previously I would love him to return and be a colossal at the back after everything he has been through but he has his work cut out. That's why I maintain a loan would be ideal for him. He won't improve sitting on the Rangers bench getting 10 - 15 minutes here and there.

MPH, last season unfortunately is over, sweet memories oh yes.
But Helander is a year older and didn't look great when he got his chance in the euros. Goldson apparently wants away, and we are also suggesting loaning katic and Edmundson. Simpson for me is not suited to the Scottish game so we really need Katic imo. to step up if and when he gets his chance in the next few weeks.

Last time I say this Katic isn't going take us forward as a team. If he came into the market now instead of 2 years ago when we bought SG wouldn't go near him. We are a far better side now than we were when he signed.

John you miss my point my friend I am not making comparisons in ability between vvd and katic just pointing out the fact that an injured player doesn't automatically become dispensable without being afforded the chance to stake a claim.

He is head and shoulders above edmundson and Simpson and balogun will be here this season only so it makes no sense not to have him at the club.

Think one of the hurdles that is facing Katic is the fact that our backline and centre half's last season done such a tremendous job for the most part to the point where some may be unfairly thinking Katic was a weaker link. The boy is tremendous in the air great spring and has a bit of pace about him and has been working his backside off during his injury spell. He is still young and plenty time to develop into a top centre half so I would love to keep him perhaps loan him out for next season or at least 6 months but that means we do have 6 very competent cb's on the books plus some youngsters so it's a difficult position but one which I trust the management to make the correct decisions. All about opinions and views lads.

If as is suggested Goldson wants away, his comments on the Rangers Home page certainly don't reflect that.
