After mentions of a name over last few days I contacted a few people from a club I was previously involved in.

Feeling is that sasa zdelar will remain in Russia and that no interest from UK has happened.

Sasa like most in Serbia support the russian state and would not move to a hostile nation.

A return to FK Partizan is not off the cards.

Asathor

1.) 01 Feb 2025 19:19:52
Asa the difficulty in paying g a fee to a Russian team has always made me think this was difficult to happen.

2.) 01 Feb 2025 22:02:58
I think UEFA have made it easier for players in Russia to end their Contracts because of the situation in the Ukraine.

3.) 02 Feb 2025 07:13:54
Looks like a decent enough player can play as a defensive mid, or centreback
But Russian teams are notoriously hard to deal with n sanctions in place from some countries dealing with them.

4.) 02 Feb 2025 08:02:20
Guess the Uefa agreement to allow players to be free agents and leave Russian clubs finished last year. it is the transfer of funds which is the difficult part I understand.

5.) 02 Feb 2025 09:22:06
There has not been any concrete British interest in the player.

30 Jan 2025 12:07:40
Rangers hold zero interest in Bobby Clark at this time.

I believe Katic incoming is a potential if first choice is unattainable.

A defensive midfielder is priority for the club and focus is on that position this window.

Asathor

1.) 30 Jan 2025 13:04:17
defensive midfielder? when we already have Raskin playing great and Barron who was playing well before falling out of favour.
Also Rice coming into the the team more too.

Defensive mid doesn't really make sense.

We need a starting CH and RB for sure.

2.) 30 Jan 2025 13:14:08
Club feel raskin may leave in the summer and are future planning.
No.6 was priority last summer the club failed to get number 1 target so moved on.
The club still actively trying to sign a priority target in this position.

3.) 30 Jan 2025 13:22:32
They have to forever succession plan now though Ally. As Asa says, Koppen knows what he's doing let's just trust him. Of course he'll make the odd bad signing here and there but he's done more than enough to prove to me we're lucky to have him rebuilding us.

4.) 30 Jan 2025 13:22:37
Desperately need a winger.

5.) 30 Jan 2025 13:30:01
Just my view Ally, but I see Barron and Rice as more naturally no8s, and I think Raskin is the only player we have that can anchor the midfield / play the no6 role. I definitely think we could do with backup for Raskin that is happy to set and shield the backline and Barron and Rice both want to get further up the pitch.

6.) 30 Jan 2025 14:07:51
After all these numbers I'm going to order a Chinese.

7.) 30 Jan 2025 14:09:50
Barron definitely a no 6. He's sometimes deeper than the cb looking for a pass.

8.) 30 Jan 2025 14:11:36
And Danilo is a 99 so I'm having one of those after.

9.) 30 Jan 2025 15:00:57
We have no interest in Katic.

10.) 30 Jan 2025 15:49:08
Asathor, you are correct.

A number 6 was the priority last window and remains the number 1 priority at the moment.

11.) 30 Jan 2025 15:55:51
I'm going to play dumb with the wife and says he's number 69, I'll have one of those.

12.) 30 Jan 2025 15:56:57
Correct My Star. We are about the only club who plays with wingers, but we don't actually play with wingers ? excluding Cerny ?.

13.) 30 Jan 2025 16:01:04
Careful asathor you will have the anti katic police on your back lol.

14.) 30 Jan 2025 16:24:02
do I remember that Raskin had to be coached the no6 role so isn't natural there.

23 Jan 2025 17:29:48
I believe rangers will be looking to add 2 new forwards.

Actively seeking to move both Dessers and Danilo on over the next 12 months.

Asathor

1.) 23 Jan 2025 17:54:35
As we've seen with others, it's one thing to want to move dessers, matondo, and others on. A completely different thing to find clubs that will pay a fee / cover their wages. From what I've seen so far Koppen is the right man to bring players in, but we've a job on our hands cutting the dead wood.

2.) 23 jan 2025 18:58:07
ive always said danillo is not the striker we need, i expect igga to be sold within a year, unless we make it worth his while, dessers isn't a good player and danillo doesn't score a lot of goals, , i would be happy with igga and a poacher type on the bench, with the ability to change our attack when needed, i honestly have my doubts igamane will be here too much longer.

3.) 23 Jan 2025 22:06:24
it won't be hard to move on either dessers or danilo at all. january is a hard transfer window to move players on and buy new ones for everyone. it just might have to wait until summer.

4.) 24 Jan 2025 09:29:11
Dessers is by far our best striker showed his qualities again last night
Igamime I like though way to soon to judge
Danilio we can't really rely on going forward injury wise
Would rather punt Danilio

No with Igamime n dessers.

5.) 24 Jan 2025 10:06:07
Dessers showed he's Rangers best striker that just is not nearly true bluedreamer, Igamane is at a different level.

6.) 24 Jan 2025 10:28:06
Bluedreamer still on the booze this morning it seems

hats off to Dessers for his goal.

Shame we still didn't get a result.

7.) 24 Jan 2025 10:37:45
It's Danilo that should be moved on not Dessers. Never fit. And get some money for Yilmaz too. who was atrocious last night. And Butland. he's good but he's got too many mistakes in him and as for cross balls. don't get me started. 6 ft 5.should be better. Yes he saved a few . straight at him.
At least Curtis and Rice surfacing.
Balogan . great big guy but he's at the end now unfortunately.
We were poor last night . Gave spurs a game but off it last night.

8.) 24 Jan 2025 11:00:54
Colonel, i agree with your post. Can't believe the abuse Dessers gets. I think that's now 17 for the season.

9.) 24 Jan 2025 11:19:27
Dessers is a good all round guy, always fit, scores goals and works hard but he looks for a few too many touches sometimes. The sticking point is his age and wage with no sell on potential if we keep him for a couple of years. I do agree with other posters that we could spend a few million and get a perennially injured striker who doesn't score as regularly so if we could get the likes of matondo, Lawrence, dowell off the books, I'd keep dessers, at least until danilo could stay fit for any length of time.

10.) 24 Jan 2025 11:52:55
We've really had some amount of dross play for us over the last few seasons.
Some do deserve the criticism guys like matondo ect they have been shocking when playing and out injured the rest of the time.
Dessers doesn't deserve the abuse he gets I totally get he can be frustrating at times.
But he does his best and his goal return is actually good considering how pathetic the service he gets.

Hopefully we see more of rice because he is ready for first team football.
Barron was anonymous last night before the injury
Him and raskin don't work in the same team.
We all like balogun but he simply can't finish a game of football without getting injured.

11.) 24 Jan 2025 11:57:42
Great goal by Dessers last night and time we looked at playing both him and Igamane in the starting 11.

12.) 24 Jan 2025 12:06:49
Dessers, great big guy but a quandary. Keep him . and get nothing back and I believe still to pay for him! Or sell while still scoring and his stock is up. Think we have to be mercenary. sell.

13.) 24 Jan 2025 12:46:22
big dessers puts himself about, some of his link up play is awful and last night he made some really poor passes. then he plucks one out of the air on the turn and smacks it bottom right with his weak foot across the keeper ?, fantastic finish. i'm not for hounding him out and think if he's to be moved on then it should only be for a sum of money that he's worth.

Rangers would be losing a 20 goal a season striker and the price tag should be reflected as such. i do think rangers need a more all round striker and think dessers lacks the hold up play like igamane has and morelos did. his attitude and goals can be criticised.

14.) 24 Jan 2025 13:10:26
At this moment between danilio and dessers dessers is our best option
And more fit
Igamime is great for what we have seen
But still very early to judge
Out our 3 main strikers
I would love too keep both igamine n dessers
As he's the type of striker we need

Yes so what he can frustrate with a few misses
N extra touches but why sell
Too then buy another striker
Who frankly might not score as many as dessers.

15.) 24 Jan 2025 13:57:01
My star I'm not saying igamine isn't but big label n maby been judged way too soon I agree he's been great hence why I would like too keep both him and dessers
But dessers is more proven
Igamine might just be having one amazing season like everything going right for him coarse I want it to work for him and us

I would love to go 2 up top
Like back in the mcoist n Hatley days as think
The two of them would make a deadly partnership n grab us lots a goals between them.

16.) 24 Jan 2025 15:53:57
Blue, Igamane has only played around 25 games in Europe mate, I do like Dessers but he's just not got the capability of Igamane, really like Danilo cracker footballer only problem with him is injures.

17.) 24 Jan 2025 16:58:58
Stuck between a rock n a hard place mate, but dessers pips danilo for me
Danilo could be a roofe cituation all over
Great footballer unfortunate with injury.

18.) 24 Jan 2025 17:53:43
Blue, that's my worry with Danilo mate, think he gets sold once he gets a run of games only because of his wage.

19.) 25 Jan 2025 10:28:51
If you want a striker to develop I would look at Ryan One before others pounce and it appears they are about to .

24 Nov 2024 16:45:52
Interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

Appointed by Stewart at United.

Asathor

1.) 24 Nov 2024 17:01:18
So Asa, are you hearing ole gunnar solskjaer possibly going to be named rangers interim manager until the end of the season mate ?.

2.) 24 Nov 2024 17:08:13
Walter appears Rae to be interim manager.

3.) 24 Nov 2024 17:08:41
All I know is he is held in high regard by the incoming CEO, ticks a lot of boxes and I think we could do a lot worse than Ole.

4.) 24 Nov 2024 17:10:02
Fergie recommends Stewart to rangers.

5.) 24 Nov 2024 17:11:45
I think this could be a solid appointment.

6.) 24 Nov 2024 17:15:52
I would like to see him as a player.

7.) 24 Nov 2024 19:28:31
Yes OGS was a terrific striker ?.

30 Oct 2024 17:40:51
Guys just because its not in Media does not mean wheels are not in motion.

Big business takes time.

I reported last month John Halsted looking to take control.

Gibson vice chair too i believe.

Asathor

1.) 30 Oct 2024 18:08:45
You did that Asathor, you will hear many things mate.

2.) 30 Oct 2024 19:01:27
I hope your right because whilst good intentions some on the board just not helping.

How the mighty have fallen.

Root and branch review was said to be taking place.

I await the mass dismissals for those that have allowed a culture to fester where losing is just another day at the office.

At Rangers winning is a must.
It is said that Rangers is a religion to some.
I feel that some need excommunicated.

EHL you have opened my eyes my friend.
Rangers are now confirmed has beens.

Asathor

1.) 11 Feb 2025 19:46:40
Asathor, it's yet another sliding doors moment.

There may be a lack of fire in the belly of many - but there's plenty on the periphery who I believe are ready to step in.

Keep the faith.

2.) 11 feb 2025 19:50:25
rangers will never be has bern's and will return stronger.

3.) 11 Feb 2025 19:56:52
For me growing up it was the one consistent thing i had to smile about when there wasn't much to be happy about. A pride unmatched by anything else the true glasgow Rangers way is second is last. Now its okay because its a rebuild. All we have done since the dark days is rebuild season after season. We now have a man in koppen who knows a real player when he sees one if we had a manager that could set them up properly we would be far better off.

4.) 11 Feb 2025 20:07:35
Can't say I'm surprised with EHLs earlier post as it's plain to see the lack of fight and desire on the park.

5.) 11 Feb 2025 20:29:50
I hope you are right EHL.

I understand we are hamstrung due to ffp but certain revenue streams must open fast.

As I said before there are some that need to sell up.

Fresh energy, fresh impetus from all areas us needed. I would hope you are thinking of fast tracking your elite career.

6.) 11 Feb 2025 20:32:55
So the players who EHL has said don't hurt after defeat are those who Koppen sees as real players and it is the manager who is to blame. Clement has been here for just over a year and I suspect that the culture Asathor refers to has taken longer than that to fester; and I think EHL confirmed it by saying it wasn't Clement who was responsible.
EHL hope you are right and we can get on right track soon whoever is the manager.

7.) 11 Feb 2025 20:38:02
U thinking King n Park Asa?

8.) 11 Feb 2025 20:53:54
Fork I think King definitely, but last time I checked he wasn't actually willing to sell just wished to be hailed as saviour.

Park I understand his reluctance as believe it or not he actually loves rangers.

9.) 11 Feb 2025 21:16:14
Angus think it's been apparent it's been deep rooted for a long tine mate
Under Gerrard gvb beale and now clement. Can you remember under Gerrard we all said players bottle went twice after new year players not giving their all etc thus has been on going for some time. Not sure why some think it's just under clement.

If that's the case why were the rest sacked and looks like one walked for the job shown south knowing he possibly wasn't going to follow up all be it we were 7 points ahead when he left we will never know if he would have gotten 56 had he stayed or if they would have folded once again once Celtic got up and running.

10.) 11 Feb 2025 21:17:45
Cheers Asa, so who you hitting for their shares? ?? only kidding bud?.

11.) 11 Feb 2025 22:16:32
Stir I think for Gerrard that Rangers were always a stepping stone and he would be off if an offer from an EPL club came in. His dream was always to manage Liverpool and that should have been the best step. never worked out though.

10 Feb 2025 18:14:01
List of things the fans want but will not be granted by this team:

1. Scottish premiership
2. League Cup
3. Scottish Cup
4. A true captain
5. Leadership
6. pride
7. Innovation
8. effort
9. Enjoyment
10. TRUST

for goodness sake the fans at the very least deserve the end of Clement.

Asathor

1.) 10 Feb 2025 18:44:24
So you think if we sack clement and pay him the money we badly need for players we will get all of the above. Who do we replace him with, with no funds for manager or players?

2.) 10 Feb 2025 18:45:30
Agreed Asa. We will never win a league title with that man and his big massive book of pathetic excuses in charge.

3.) 10 Feb 2025 18:46:34
Couldnt of said it any better well said asa.

4.) 10 Feb 2025 18:49:24
Asa effort and leadership would go a long way to getting the full set.

5.) 10 Feb 2025 19:41:41
Asa onwalter miss The key element ABILITY.

6.) 10 Feb 2025 19:44:12
Does nobody look at the situation we are in? If, and it's a big if, Clement was to leave, who's going to come in and work under the same conditions and restrictions as PC and deliver what you stated above and when it doesn't happen, 12-18 months later everyone is screaming for the manager to be sacked and the vicious circle continues.

7.) 10 Feb 2025 19:48:17
Yes we need money to improve and be able to pay off PC, but you don't need to pay it all upfront, you would put Clement on Gardening leave and pay him as per until he gets other job. He may be happy to sit out time of contract, but if all on here think he is one to take us forward, we won't have issue as other clubs will be desperate to have him.
As to current squad not as bad as made out, new manager would have decent starting point, if he has decent tactically plan on how to set team up.

8.) 10 Feb 2025 20:05:20
What I would like to understand is where the confidence comes from that sacking PC will give us any of this. Every word, verbatim, spoken about PC on here has been ascribed to both Beale and Gio.

Sacking those 2 did not bring us your list above, I don't see how sacking another manager with a worse financial position at the club brings this about. If PC goes in the summer our squad next season will be weaker as a result as we have limited funds available.

I feel the frustration myself but think there is a lot of fans seeking simple answer to a complex and long running issue. I personally think we are a project and the recruitment model will work, but this needs time and stability to give it the best chance.

9.) 10 Feb 2025 20:13:51
John my apologies, ability and application.

I do believe this team has the ability available to beat queens park but lacked application.

10.) 10 Feb 2025 20:18:11
John, we've seen that the players have ability but why does jefte keep making the same mistakes? Who's coaching him or who's telling igamabe to float all over the pitch at 1 point he was at ch just look at corners. PC said he didn't need a set. piece special-ist because he liked to do it himself we are a scare at defending them. and rarely score from the many we get so it's down to the coaching and the repetition on the training ground the intensity as well how many times this season have we only played well for 1 half or when we go a goal behind? A lot comes from. the coach and if he's doing these things but the players don't listen, that's on the coach.

11.) 10 Feb 2025 20:33:56
Send him over a 5 gallon drum of your petrol Asa and ask him to use it for his farewell drive to the airport. ?✈️.

12.) 10 Feb 2025 20:40:35
Asa, onewalter I don't agree they have the ability, did u witness the passing, the inability toplay forward passes, players that can't put a free kick or corner past the first man, defenders who can't head a ball.

13.) 10 Feb 2025 20:52:37
Well said Asa ???????.

14.) 10 Feb 2025 21:04:32
ASA - one to add to the list Mental toughness.

15.) 10 Feb 2025 21:26:29
Oh to have a player to cross like borna did.

16.) 10 Feb 2025 22:10:35
John many of those players played great in Europe and in some domestic matches. Don't tell me igamane hasn't got ability or raskin or dio or soutter sp I'm saying many of the players have ability but aren't using it often enough or applying themselves often enough.

17.) 10 Feb 2025 23:21:59
Or simply being managed and organised properly.

18.) 11 Feb 2025 08:49:06
One Walter we will agree to disagree, how many these guys would get in souness squad, imo not one.

10 Feb 2025 18:17:45
SWS the benefit to the club of relieving Clement of his duties is clear to see.

As owners of football clubs we are only custodians.
The fans demand change and change must happen.

I am lucky to be a part owner of the club I hold most dear but trust me when I say this fans matter.

When I was on the board at Zenit the fans were equally if not more demanding than Rangers fans. Success is a must.

Asathor

1.) 10 Feb 2025 18:48:36
I agree but with some backing PC on here they don't see it mate.
This is the only place I see people backing PC tho. I am only on X now as got rid of the rest of my social media but not seen many backing him on there.

2.) 10 Feb 2025 19:02:07
Asathor, a good and simple analogy of the basics we as fans should get from the Management and Players. The difference between your good self and those in similar positions at Rangers are in my opinion, your head is in the right place, those at Ibrox have their heads slightly South of that position. Yes, no Club has a divine right to win a football match, but if you have more quality and the right mental attitude, that should be enough to beat a team from a lower league/.

3.) 10 Feb 2025 20:35:22
Just to caveat, I don't for one second think that PC is blameless - he and many of those around and above him are culpable for a lot of mistakes - many of which are being proactively addressed.

The one glaring gap that we haven't addressed is 'mindset'.

I can only imagine what it would have been like to be in or around the training ground off the back of some our away performances or the cup exit when he had players who understood the mindset required to be win and to win at all costs.

This unfortunately isn't the case - losing is now part of the process, we reset and go again.

I don't know where our next group of leaders will come from - truth be told I don't think we'll see them again until we get used to winning again.

4.) 10 Feb 2025 20:36:51
ASA it's ok us fans demanding this and demanding that but if we do sack clement, who's going to be responsible for getting a manager to come in with no money to spend and put together a team that will give fans leagues, Scottish cups, league cups, pride, a captain etc etc? You? John? Storm? SWS? No, it'll be the board, and when we're back to square one and the new manager can't get a tune out of the players, like clement, Gio, Beale etc, then the fans will be back demanding another poor sod gets sacked when they've been fighting with one hand behind their back because there is no reasonable investment into a club that heomorages money.

5.) 11 feb 2025 01:22:36
theres me thinking yiu said " i am not and never will be on x too, explains lots,

memory losses etc

i take no sm seriously, an idiots charter imo.

6.) 11 Feb 2025 04:17:59
Alloa it needs to be the right manager we back and pc isn't that.

09 Feb 2025 23:30:21
Angus i believe there is a work around in terms of ffp. We may have to forego any move for Cerny but I believe that we can get an injection of funds through shareholder loans to help.

Once the player trading model bears fruit we will not have to consider ffp in the future.

Asathor

1.) 10 Feb 2025 00:32:51
I don't think that UEFA allows buying players from Directors Loans.

2.) 10 Feb 2025 08:14:10
The transfer window is closed. We work with what we have. What is the point in discussing new players when we don't even know who the new manager will be come the summer?

3.) 10 Feb 2025 08:33:14
Oh yes, the 'trading model'!, how has that panned out over the last few years?
Hearing this now as often as the Hong Kong consortium at AGM time.

4.) 10 Feb 2025 08:46:12
Cheers Asathor. that is the only way I could see around it by putting more directors funds into it. It does remove further funds from player budgets, even when we come to repay them so sets us back in that way I think.
Yoursperx it wasn't a discussion on buying players but the topic of if we were to sack Clement then his pay off goes directly on operating costs and then puts us above the 70% wage/ turnover ratio required by PSR next season.
not greta in any way and wish I had a quick fix solution.

5.) 10 Feb 2025 09:35:39
We've had multiple injections of share loans in the past few years and it simply cannot continue. FFP has us in handcuffs paying him off and replacing him makes a serious dent in the summer budget.

09 Feb 2025 20:05:05
I said a few days ago that I was open to being persuaded that Clement is the right man.

No longer. My mind is clear.

I personally would have wielded the axe in October but surely now if the axe is not already swinging it should at least be getting scraped along the whetstone.

I commend the board for standing strong in the face of adversity but the position is now untenable.

Time to turn the page and end this chapter.

Asathor

1.) 09 Feb 2025 20:24:48
Asa if asked on another post if as some on here have posted what if the club can't afford to sack him and his backroom staff.

2.) 09 Feb 2025 20:27:14
He has to go Asa ?.

3.) 09 Feb 2025 20:33:56
Of course the club can afford to sack him, that's silly business.

4.) 09 Feb 2025 20:38:33
I don't think sacking manager after manager is the answer but then i'm worried a similar situation happens like ten hag at man united and that sticking with the manager just makes it worse and never really works. it's a hard call for the board to make especially if there is large finances involved.

5.) 09 Feb 2025 20:48:06
After that today, it can't go on. It becomes a point where there can't be any more excuses. It doesn't matter how much the wage bill has been cut by or who he had to move on. It's a team of part timers .

6.) 09 Feb 2025 20:50:24
We can't afford not to sack him. He's finished.

7.) 09 Feb 2025 20:56:13
I think he has to go the board need to do their job and relieve him of his duties it is on them to find the funds to do so and to find a new manager but they must get the next appointment right. The position we now find ourselves in is inexcusable miles behind in the league lost a league cup final to Celtic and now I believe for the 1st time in our history knocked out of the Scottish cup at home to a lower league side. What more do we need to see before people open their eyes and look at what is staring them in the face.

Well put Asa, I have lost faith in PC.
No style of play and poor performances.
Performance over results and hopefully can build.

Asa, I think they have the cash or can find it but you may know this given your position at Brann. The pay off to a manager would go against the operating costs. we are just below the 80% wage/ turnover figure at the moment to my knowledge. How does the club stay below that limit if they have to pay off the coaching staff. and if they down what other penalties would they be faced with.

Why not sack the manager and bring in a new one on a lesser salary reducing the overall wage bill same as they have done with the players, after all that seems to be where this club in now, skint!

I would say based on the club's recent timescales we need to sack Clement now. By doing this we might actually have an appointment by August.

He needs to go now Strom, I see lots of people say no point saking now, why would you give a stay of execution until the end of the season, get a new man in nkw to try and instill a proper culture.

Good player although I do not believe the player will fit into our wage structure.

I would say when the board talk of fellow investors/ shareholdings they talk of those people who have put several million into the accounts.

Rebuilds do take time yes. But Rangers are miles ahead on budget terms and have had s lesser staff turnover than most clubs in Scotland.

Blind loyalty is the only term for what being said.
No longer must we be expected to defend the indefensible.

Clement is not the right man for this rebirth.
We are in the death cycle and we will rise again but not whilst Clement is at the helm.

Fork I think King definitely, but last time I checked he wasn't actually willing to sell just wished to be hailed as saviour.

Park I understand his reluctance as believe it or not he actually loves rangers.

I hope you are right EHL.

I understand we are hamstrung due to ffp but certain revenue streams must open fast.

As I said before there are some that need to sell up.

Fresh energy, fresh impetus from all areas us needed. I would hope you are thinking of fast tracking your elite career.
