As much as it pains me Goldson has to play. We have been backed into a Corner as no other quality right sided CB's available.
This is a shame for Gio and the team. But this is down to previous management and having favourites.

I get the want to drop him but we NEED to qualify for Europe after Xmas. This is more important than making a statement.

Mph brondby need to win get 3 points from the last 2 games and us not to win a single point, 3rd place is let's be honest better than finishing 2nd with the draw, Patterson is a better defender than Tav, Goldson is finished, Balogun usually good in Europe, Bassey been better than Barasic this season, other teams have no quams playing a youngster against us so why shouldn't we? I believe we would win with this team, whether is what I like and what team gets better that's another story lol.

How is it down to previous managements having Favs? CG played almost every game last season and was absolutely outstanding, he’s the best CB at tye club he has to play!

R1 Helander is the best CB at the club by a country mile whilst on this season's form Goldson needs dropped asap. 55 is done and its getting tiresome seeing the likes of Tav still tweeting about 55 in regards to Gerrard leaving and Tav and certian players like Goldson still living off the high of 55. New season we start again!

Goldson in particular needs to go asap imo due to stalling on his extension, I fully expect Gio won't tolerate his ego and will flush him at the first opportunity!

Interesting to hear Richard Goughs take on the Goldson interview, He said someone should take this guy aside and tell him he’s not playing for Shrewsbury or Brighton now. Brilliant.

R1. We may have had a enter right sided CB available if previous management had not thought Goldson only needed for that position. They would have brought another in obviously.

Honestly some folk on this site don’t tolerate form Balogun is standing right next to Goldson and has been WAY worse this season, Tavs another one gets slaughtered time after time no consideration for what he done last season or the fact that he has by far and away out most assists, these boys have given their all fair tht they ain’t playing there best but neither is, Kamara, Morelos, Davis, Aribo, Kent it’s a team effort when Jack doesn’t play Tav and BB don’t get the cover Goldson has no choice but to cover then space appears, for me out defensive frailties are more done to midfield tht the defence itself, I do agree it’s a close call between Goldson and Phil but on last seasons showing Goldsons passing and fitness gives him the edge, Balogun levels below them!

Helander the best defender at the club and he is missed sorely. Fingers crossed we get something for CG in Jan and we get a good replacement in, someone willing to run through brick walls for the club.

Could you imagine him coming away with that If the 9iar players were in that dressing room, Jaws? Guys like Gough, Ally, Bomber, Goram, Fergie would have stiffened him. Things like that just wouldn't have been tolerated away back then, and shouldn't be now. Am I being cynical thinking he knew what he was saying and there was an end goal?
