Sima scored 16 goals and was wonderful for us. We have been looking for a wide player with end product for years, and Sima is that man. Sima gets the goals Ryan Kent never did. Even with his injury Sima still managed to outscore almost every other player in the country who wasn’t an out and out striker.
Dessers and Lammers scored about 45 goals between them last season. Sima scored 16. you’re talking 60 goals between those three players. If Danilo and Lovelace can stay fit for a season how many goals can they bring? If Rangers had Sima on the left, and someone just like him on the right, we might finally have a front three that is balanced and can get big numbers.

Last seasons goals:
Sima - 16 goals 2 assists.
Lammers - 14 goals 3 assists.
Dessers - 21 goals with 5 assists.
Over 50 goals between these three players. Imagine Danilo never got injured? Imagine we had an actual right-winger instead of Scott Wright? Imagine Lammers got a run in his actual position and some fan support?
Rangers have players who can score goals. What they need is wide attackers who can score and Sima is the first in a long time to do that. I mean, 16 goals in just over half a season from a wide area is incredible. Plus, Sima’s age, potential, the fact he is the type of player highly sought after in the modern game, etc.
Sima is worth that £8m in modern football. I just cannot see Rangers paying that for one man when 4-5 more are needed.

But Gers does not have the money to get the level of defenders that most of you seem to expect. Plus bring in a lad that can bang in the goals. Most don't even want to pay £4-5million for Shankland.

I like the idea of another big dominant central defender who can give us presence in both boxes but Harry Souttar is right footed and doesn`t give us the balance at the back alongside either Goldson or his brother that a left footed c. b would. John Souttar doesn`t always look comfortable on that side and I don`t know if Harry would be any better at it.

His crossing ability is great but the stage we are at just now with comical defending week in week out and loss of concentration constantly, it needs to change. A new contract is actually hilarious.
The conclusions people are coming to is based over a long period not just one instance of being injured or a few months of form. Both our fullbacks are weaknesses that teams exploit time and again and we continue with it wondering why we don't win much silverware.

The attacking fullbacks cover more ground than any other player on the pitch. The attacking full-backs are asked to shuttle up and down the pitch constantly. Barisic probably ran a 10k that night and it was so hot people in the stands were passing out.

Until we can replace Borna with someone better then I would prefer that he stays with us. Yilmaz might be the answer, personally I don't think so, because I reckon he will head back home to Turkey.
As things stand we have failed miserably to replace everyone that has left in the summer with the exception of MGregor with Butland being an excellent replacement however I am seeing nothing so far, for a myriad of reasons, to suggest that any of the others recruited are beets than what we had.
Only time will tell but so far the omens are not good.

Constructive criticism was all well and good the 5 previous seasons where he was woeful. In his 6th season, its now beyond unacceptable that he is still our starting left back. He is a coward on the pitch and doesn't have the mentality, however he isn't the only one.
Simply being at the club doesn't mean they deserve too. They are not immune from criticism, especially after the years of terrible performances in big games he's given us.

Scouting wise, we need to widen our net, our switch away from 'human scouts' to the use of 'new technology' might actually help although whether our current Chief Scout is the man to lead the change I just don't know.

I have been a Rangers fan for many years too and one thing we are all entitled to is our opinion and our respect for each others opinions. I was at the old firm game along with my son and I have never booed a Rangers team or player and never will. However I will voice my opinion. Borna Barisic is not good enough for Rangers. Inconsistent over several seasons and he bottles it in every big match opportunity. Infact barring an on form Connor Goldson our full back 4 isn’t good enough. It pains me to say but the reality is we are going nowhere under Beale. We have no style of play, can’t shred a simple pass together and the players cannot communicate with one another effectively on the park. Beale also is tactically enept. We all see that from his stubbornness to change his team or the waiting til the 60th minute to make substitutions. It’s simply not good enough and it needs changed pronto. Whether that happens or not I guess we will see in the coming weeks. There is no coming back here for him and I think the majority of our support know that. Celtic are getting too close to our titles now so we can’t afford to get the next manager choice wrong. It can’t be a cheap option or some rookie we take a gamble on. Beale hasn’t worked lads and he needs to go ??????.

I love that list, Hendry dumped by wee Dick after a year, Amoruso booed by our support every time he touched the ball by our support in a game at Ibrox, stripped of the captaincy because he was making so many mistakes at one point. Boumsong at the club for 6 months but was rag dolled by a big Hearts centre forward and got pelters by our support. Butcher sold because he couldn`t get back to his best after his injury and took the huff when Souness dropped him. Boumsong criticised for leaving holes in the defence by breaking forward. Cuellar criticised for not being able to come out with the ball. Weir had " no pace ". They all got stick at some point and have become greats since they left . I suspect that Tav and Goldson will be valued more after they leave .

The time you are referring to is when we had jack, kamara, davis who are all naturally sitting midfielders anyway who offer next to nothing in attack. Beale has already stated he wants more from his midfielders ie, numbers.
Dont agree with what you said at all. PSV are a much better side than us that's why they beat us but domestically imo our midfield should not need to cover fullbacks every few minutes when they go up field.

Made some good signings Barron, Dio permanently, Jefte, Propper, Cerny all improve the 11 Cortez has potential to this season aswell, They are replacing Lammers Lundstrum, goldson, borna, Cantwell etc all who have been slaughtered on here! Got a cb for the future in as back up aswell in Nsiala and a young striker The management team must believe in! We've also got Danilo who we've seen not much of so far but I really like the look of him! Delighted we kept Matondo aswell lad only 23 still plenty time for him to be a very good player for rangers! R1 how do you know the signings we have made are good, far too early to judge the guys signed recently, so far young Barron has showed up well, but it’s early days.
For me still well short in a number of positions.

We have left ourselves dreadfully short in midfield if nothing happens before the window closes . In the current system we play two deeper lying midfield players, we have Barron, Raskin who is never fit and Diomande who looks better further forward. Then we want to play a No.10 pressing beside the main striker and we have one, Lawrence who struggles for pace and fitness and struggles in the role . Everywhere else we can make do and mend with what we have got, but both of these are two big holes in our squad.

Want better players! I’m aware we have no money and don’t agree that these players will be good enough over the season, strange your content with the positions we have filled when it’s obvious we need a holding midfielder and a striker, all of a sudden Dessers is the answer! He looks like he has started the season better but for me to challenge we needed an upgrade, Jefte not been tested at left back yet so let’s see on that one.
Also Tav still at right back, say no more on that one.
If these players prove me wrong over the season I will be delighted, but I don’t see it that way.

Thought the performance at the weekend was very poor BUT.

And it's a very different game, Someone mentioned earlier about lack of pace at the back with Propper in for Davies (who I've given up on) and Sterling in for Tav were far more athletic and can go press we all know that's how PC wants to play but can't with the back line from the weekend, too many write Souttar off said on here a few times with Tav out and a real CB beside him he'll flourish Imo.
Not one for defending Dessers but he lived off scraps at the weekend folk giving him stick for missing chances two of the three he made himself the lob attempt the touch was quality just didn't sit down quick enough for him, still don't think he's our 9 but it's not for the lack of trying. Hoping Matondo gets a run in the team know al get stick for this but he's more of a threat than wright etc with Cortez looking like he's out for a wee while this might be his chance!

Sorry don’t agree, Dessers has to be better involved in the play, he never mixes it up and comes short and very rarely runs the channels, he has to show for it, don’t know if it’s a confidence thing or it’s just not his game but if we play with one up he has to be more of a focal point.

I agree Rose don’t think he’s a Gers 9 as I said but sat he wasn’t the problem. he made one chance from nothing the second from little and the header that was his moment! Everyone used to moan when Morelos came short too much to get involved in the play can’t have it all ways. Of all the striker we’ve been linked with I’d like to see Miovski pay Aberdeen get some quality in with Danillo.

I never in a million years thought 5-7m who’s gona pay that for him when his stock is at a similar level to when he signed for us for free? During his time here He’s been shown to be a bit of a trouble maker/ Problem Child! I don’t understand the frenzy to have him back in the squad no manger he’s worked under including loans have seen him as a regular starter! Boy clearly has some talent but not every manger can be wrong.
