Does anyone know if the head of man city youth has been appointed as the new DOF there was a story on news now yesterday confirming it but not seen it anywhere else.

Hope it's him, if it is him that gets the Role I'm assuming that with his background he ll be focusing on youth and the great work Craig's done with the academy and not meddling too much in Pedro first team affairs. ANother piece in the good business model they are building at the famous Glasgow rangers!

Always thought Pedro seemed like a guy who would want to source his own Players. After reading about the man who may get the position I still think that this will be the case. Pedro does have the knowledge and the contacts to go after the Players he wants to bring in. i'm sure the new DOF will be involved in first team recruitment at some level.

In my opinion the new DOF with his background will be focusing on building up our Youth Teams and I think we have landed a top man to do exactly this. He will have knowledge of all the up and coming youth Players from Europe and probably beyond, and it is this that I think he will be asked to focus on.
Other than that he will probably be the person who is involved in the negotiations of out going Players.

I personally think that the guy has an excellent pedigree and because of his previous employers we could be in line to reep huge benefits. Hopefully due to him getting this post our relationship with Man. City could thrive and result in more Transfers/ loans between the two Club's.

Wonder if the appointment of Mark Allen will increase our chances of landing young Beerman's mate at Man. City the young CH?

Fingers crossed that this goes through, its great to see the Club bringing in qualty Players but its deals like this that could have a huge impact on the future of our Club. Another good bit of business from King and the Board.

I was speaking to a member of Motherwell coaching staff about the big CB kipre I think unsure of spelling. Think he would be a great signing for us only 21 and getting better all the time. Only saw him at the semi final and looks good. Never lost a header all game and strong in the tackle. Would like to see him and maybe Kyle Bartley or in dream world Grant Hanley.

In your dreams we sign Hanley? Hate you see your nightmares😂

2.) 22 Apr 2018 18:20:39
Hanley your dream centre half OMG

3.) 22 Apr 2018 18:21:47
Hanley. Dream signing? You been on the sauce? Cart horse imo.

4.) 22 Apr 2018 18:31:09
Hanley is shocking no better than Martin I wouldn't mind kipri tho

5.) 22 Apr 2018 18:48:52
Went for 6 million. We are no longer I in that market. Who was last player to cost us over 6 million

6.) 22 Apr 2018 18:50:18
Dream Venter half would be way better calibre. I grew up watching butcher but we are not the same rangers. Won't be that rangers without a new owner

7.) 22 Apr 2018 18:54:00
Just to clarify Hanley is not dream player just out our price range

8.) 22 Apr 2018 19:08:00
We'll never be that Rangers again. The footballing world has changed and we've been left behind. That days of us signing the England captain will never return

9.) 22 Apr 2018 19:23:04
Totally agree. Need to shop smart follow Celtic example with likes of wanyama van dyke buy cheap let them show what they can do and sell for good momey with a sell on clause. Need to protect youth better to. I know we can't compete financially with English pl club's but first team football is a key to keeping the youngsters

10.) 22 Apr 2018 19:45:59
I read somewhere that man city and Norwich were keeping tabs on Barjonas. You would think if he is good enough for Man City to be interested he should be at the very least on our bench. This is going to be another good boy we will lose cause he's not getting a chance.

11.) 22 Apr 2018 19:55:03
Guys we have just let future Scotland and currently the best central defender at Ibrox leave the club because we would not offer him a first team wage.

12.) 22 Apr 2018 20:13:49
Bankie, behave yourself! David Bates will NEVER be a future Scotland Captain! He will end up another Kirk Broadfoot, ie limited ability!

13.) 22 Apr 2018 20:45:06
Grant Hanley makes Russel Martin look like Madini

14.) 22 Apr 2018 22:09:05
Who TF is Madini - are you on about the great Madini that works in Blackpool as an escape artist.

Doesn't really matter where they are just now guy just says his Mrs was the source.
I work with a Scouser and he has connections with some players and coaches who all think this boy is a future star. Never said anything about a move but believes he will be one of the best wingers in the country

The lad from Brighton was first choice prior to his heart troubles. He was an outstanding young defender with EPL club's looking to buy him. The cb's that are keeping him out of the Brighton team have done also on merit getting Brighton promotion while fh13 was recovering. If he adjusts to Scottish game he is just what we are looking for in a CB

Bringing in Defoe, sorted and Lucas would be great bits of business. 1 experienced 2 high quality pros. I know there sell on values are zero but having them teach Morelos cummings mcrorie rossiter and our up and coming cb's would make them all better players and that's where the sell on values would be made. Add Stevie G to the mix and we will be attracting a higher quality of youngsters also

To say we shouldn't sign any player playing in Scotland is just nuts. If that was always the philosophy we would missed out on some quality players. Granted there aren't many world beaters but some have decent quality and bags of potential. I would like to see maybe soutar or McKenna or mcginn all would develop and increase in value

Hollow55 the guy has been capped at every level for England including full cap and would walk into any Scottish team on his worst day.
