The difference even when Hagi ( who I thought played well) and raskin went into the midfield was massive. Jack and lundstram are far too slow and negative with their passes. Between them and ridvan we managed to get forward a lot more and with added threat.

Raskin changed the game the young boy yfeko looked solid when he came on aswell. Jack n lunny didn't play well at all. Danilo n cifuentes I think will sign and possibly another cb like panzo.

I know it's too much for some to take, but Jack is done and brings nothing positive to the team anymore. Honestly, anyone who thinks he should be a starter obviously has no interest in winning back the league?! He should never have been given a new contract, and should be nowhere near our team for the upcoming season.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Beale just didn’t want to lose to many older heads at the same time hence keeping Jack.

I've always been a fan of Jack but have to agree Ben and David, he will surely be kept just for the league games after Euro matches.

Rangers are in desperate need of a new CM to partner Raskin. Those who were calling for Rangers to wait until January to sign Cifuentes need a reality check. This team needs a CM of real quality now. The Champions League qualifiers are coming up fast.

Jack's in the squad, he's a captain and a winner and will provide the drive in training and behind scenes now Greegs, Arfield and probably Davis aren't there, He won't expect to play many games from start but wait and see, if we're protecting a lead in Europe or against celtic, he'll come on and boss the area between defence and midfield. The squad is transforming but you need blue blood in that changing room.

Jack is renowned for taking time to get up to speed at the start of a new season, him an lundstrum did look quite jaded to me, maybe the just feeling g the hard pre season effects from Germany more than others, lundstrum won the bleep test on one of the fitness videos, shouod maybe judge them. a bit further down the line before putting them on the scrap heap, we were playing against a good team in Newcastle, not the best performance but its a testimonial and to get mins in the legs.

Totally agree lads re Jack . Davies looked disinterested too and gets caught ball watching too much for my liking - would be happy to see Goldson and Souttar as first pairing then hopefully another left sided CH before widow closes - - Young lad Yfeko looked ok too so hopefully he will get a decent run at some point.

If Raskin was injured Rangers would be playing a midfield two of Kamara, Lundstrum, or Jack again. That cannot happen. It’s an area of the pitch that really needs addressed. If you win the battle in midfield, you earn the right to play the game on the front foot. Every team in Europe understand the importance of winning the midfield hence the reason the 4-4-2 formation disappeared in favour of 3 man midfields. We need the best CM we can find.

If funds were available then personally I would want to see us recruit another midfield player alongside Cifuentes and Raskin. Jack is still good to have around in case of need. Lundstram will be a write off if he doesn't sign a new contract. I am also worried about the central defence, Davies, for what ever the reason is not what we need.

Ryan Jack is not done and will be a very important squad player over the whole season, not in a meaningless friendly where match fitness is the key for the team. Will offer and has offered far more than guys like Hagi will in most games this season ahead. Hagi will always only ever be a really good impact player as has mostly been the case since he joined Rangers. A yard even slower now and for a flair player that’s going to make his stake for a place in the team even harder, expect him to be sold along with Barasic and Lundstrum contract dependant. I think Beale would like the left back to be the standard of a Barasic from 2 years ago which he obviously isn’t overall now anymore and Ridvan a good bit away from that still with the jury still firmly out on him and Beale I think has the jury still out on him also.

Raskin looked different class when he came on last night. I actually think Jack grew into the game last night and was good 2nd half when rm.
I agree tho, I wouldn't want to see lungstrum and Jack playing together too often. It showed the need for a cifuentes type signing.
I thought hagi looked as bright as I've seen him since injury. The youngsters all looked lively too.
Mb seemed pleased. Obviously, he got what he wanted from the game.
We're not going to play teams of Newcastle quality until cl qualification.

Both won’t be here come then. So we will have rice and a new mf for that season with cifuentes and raskin, cantwell and dowell can drop back into a 3
