McLean deal off apparently he's looking for a longer contract than we've offered also his wage expectations according to RR.

McLean’s biggest selling point is the fact he is Scottish. Rangers need more Scots for European squads. He is not an exceptional player. I’m sure another Scottish player can be found if need be.

Gc he maybe a fan but that doesn't mean he'll play for us under any circumstances I'd not be surprised if a compromise is made.

TT, as a supporter if it was me i'd gladly take a wage cut to play for Rangers. He won't be skint and earning 20k a week, but i get what you are saying. However i'm glad he prefers the money.

"I have to suffer this AND support Rangers? " Lex McLean.

dado, people often forget a footballers lifestyle, kids, schools, house, maybe even businesses. it's quite simply not as easy as just taking a pay cut to play for rangers, he may not be in a position to just do that, it's ridiculous to suggest because you would he should, why should he, just capitulate and lose a lot of money, or stand his ground and protect his family's income, no you got this wrong.

btw a guy earning 20k pays a lot of tax.

i don't know if i want rangers to go overboard for the guy, i do think he's a good player and would be happy to see him here.

Spot on Tom, they also retire at half the age of the normal person so you can effectively cut their wage in half as well.
