My newcastle utd pals down there are telling me that john eustace and kevin muscat are the 2 most spoke about names, regarding the sunderland manager's job ? I hope they give it to scott brown ? as i don't particularly like the black cats.

OK John, I very much doubt that even if you did know a director at Sunderland they would tell you about a shortlist because the reason Mowbray got sacked is they already knew who they wanted.
They are not going to sack a well established manager to replace him with someone who is less well established. The fans loved Mowbray btw but I guess given you know a director, you will know why they let him go, it certainly wasn't to replace him with a guy who has been a no2 to Paul Ince for a large chunk of his coaching career.
